  • Playing Music via ford bluetooth Stereo, N95.

Hello All, I have an N95 that will automatically accept calls through my car stereo's bluetooth. My bluetooth is always on and connects automatically and the stereo is set to authorised.
Does anybody know how to play the music via the bluetooth? I've searched the forums but with no joy, I've also googled it. I'm fairly sure it is possible (maybe 3rd party software) as my ringtone (MP3) plays and also if I have the music player on and a call comes in, I get a few seconds of music.
    Any Help is apreciated. Cheers

The Ford Bluetooth car kit is NOT an A2DP car kit, which means it will not stream music via Bluetooth, although most Fords with Bluetooh have the auxillary input socket in the glove compartment, you can use an 3.5mm jack plug from you phones headphone socket to the Ford auxillary input and play music.

  • Iphone (IOS7) wont download phonebook via bluetooth to RR Evoque

iphone (IOS 7) won't download phonebook via bluetooth to RR Evoque. Anyone had this problem?

    Carolyn,
Once again, I see you're giving out false information. Please refrain from replying to threads where you do not know the answer. It doesn't help anyone.
Photos CAN be transferred between iOS devices via Bluetooth. There are dozens of apps in the AppStore for doing just that. Just search the AppStore for "bluetooth photo" to find them.

  • Nokia 6230i with ford bluetooth

I need a socalled "carcontacts.sis" file to install on my 6230i model, in order to transfer my contacts to the Ford bluetooth radio and view the contacts on the convers display.
Can anybody send me that file.

    hi,
PBAP is Phone Book Application Profile, it is a bluetooth profile that is part of the firware in your bluetooth that simply dictates how your phone's bt should work...
you do not need to install or find it cause it is already there, just normally try to pair your phone to the BT handsfree kit of your car, and see the car's manual on how to activate the transfer of the "Phone Book" content, usually during the 1st pairing it will ask for the transfer...

  • New Ford bluetooth handsfree & Sony Ericsson

Hi guys - Can you help.
I have looked at what phones are compatible with the New Ford bluetooth and like a Sony K800, however it has a slight incompatibility, i.e. "A 2nd incoming call can't be accepted via the Radio/Navigation system. 1st call will stay active. Automatic call answering is not supported.
Phone ringtone is not transferred, hands free system will use its standard ringtone."
I can accept most of these, however Automatic call answering I'm not sure about. Does this mean I have to answer the call on the phone, or can I still use the stalk on the steering wheel to answer the call?

Sorry, you didn't mention nokia in your first post and the car kits in fords can be made by many different manufacturers.
Only a ford dealer can help you with problems with it and they are the only people who can update it's internal software.
This forum is for mobile phone support and nokia branded devices, not ford branded devices that nokia may have wrote the software for.
You should try a forum that deals with ford car kit issues

  • FORD BLUETOOTH UPDATE - FIX for NO GSM SIGNAL

FORD BLUETOOTH UPDATE - FIX FOR NO GSM SIGNAL ON MAIN AUDIO SCREEN
Yes just upgraded my Ford Mondeo 10 plate, which has ford top of range audio with satnav (not Sony system) and worked first time !
Just follow instructions from link below
so happy it all works again
Here is the link below :- (BIG thanks to Shamu 35)
    http://www.ford-mobile-connectivity.com/downloadsUpdates

    Hi,
Yes, I have tried everything, first deleted iphone pairing from ford audio then deleted ford audio from iphone then repaied.
It does repair to the car audio as I can search phone book look at missed calls in or last calls out but no GSM signal icon which was in the bottom lefthand corner on the screen and when you make a call to the iphone the phone vibrates and the car audio lowers the radio volume but does not pass the call to the ford audio.
This all worked perfect on IOS 4.3.5 is there a downgrade for the iphone from 5 to 4.3.5 ?
I rang apple to ask this and was told no, basiclly go away !!! the phone is only 4 months old and worked until this upgrade, it must be the IOS 5 update as other people are all reporting bluetooth issues with car integration ?

  • N73 or Blackberry 8800 and Ford Bluetooth & Voice ...

    I have an N73 and a Blackberry 8800.
I can pair the Blackberry up ok with my Ford Mondeo intergrated bluetooth and voice activation system and it works fine other than not being able to transfer my phone book to allow voice dialling by name. Can this be done?
I also have the Nokia N73.
Again, this pairs OK but not properly as I am told it sounds like I am in a wind tunnell when using it. Also none of the contacts show when I scan through the phone options using the car controls.
I have downloaded the sis file on the Nokia site but it is not compatible with the N73. Can you please suggest a way round this to make it work.
    Many thanks.
    John

    Hello ajalro,
yes I solved my problem...the phonebook is not visible how manual ford says but (for N73 of course) you have to enter in phone mode (press phone button on the radio console) and scroll the phone menu by pressing right position on the circular button fitted on radio console until you will see "phonebook" tag, so you have only scroll phonebook list by up,down positions on the same circular button.
SO FOR N73 IT'S NOT NECESSARY ANY .SIS FILE!
    I hope helping you.
    bye

  • Trouble transfering phonebook via bluetooth to Alpine Blackbird B200 GPS

I recently purchased the Alpine Blackbird PMD-B200 and the first thing I did was to pair it up with my blackberry curve to check out the bluetooth.  It paired fine and a test call worked.  Then I tried to transfer the phonebook from the curve and it only transfered 3 entries.  Checked the settings on the phone and tried again same thing.  this has happened to a couple of other people who have posted on the web but I haven't found any answers.  Anyone have an answer before I start sending back the Alpine.

  • Ford & Bluetooth connection - Australia

I have a ford falcon which is a common car in australia. I had a tech-pac installed which is a ford product for connection to mobile phones via bluetooth. This allows handfree calls to be made and recieved via the audio systems. I have had a few issues with apple's bluetooth not connecting when a call is incoming and outgoing. I have done everything as per apple and ford's connection instructions. I have done a few tests whith different mobile phone (they are Nokia N85, LG Arena, Samsung A701 and iPhone 3Gs) all phones except the iphone connect to the audio system and display caller numbers.
I have been back to ford and they have tested the tech-pak unit and i have been advised that it is not faulty, i also figured this out from testing with the three other phones.
Is the apple bluetooth hardware/software different to other mobile phone manufacturers?
Will this be rectified in future apple iPhone Software updates?
Is there a current solution for this?
    Any help would be appriciated

  • No sound from TomTom with Ford Bluetooth

I have connected the IP4s with the Ford Bluettoth system and when trying to use TomTom I get not TTS. But when I discount the bluetooth I get TTS from TomTom.
Has anyone had a similar problem and found a work around?

Go to EAX panel and uncheck all effects. Now you should get 20% volume on the sub.
Go buy an ARTcessories HEADAMP, like I did, and?some cables/adapters from a Hosa distributor to boost your ctr/sub 3.5mm output of the 2zs.
Output levels way too low for subwoofer no matter what you can do. Regardless of the impedance load on the output.
I hooked up an o-scope and measured it, being the FCC certified tech I am since '7, now senior engineer for the USCG Academy ship simulators facility.

  • N70 phonebook numbers in messages

I have got a Nokia N70, yesterday out of no-where the sms/mms messages i recieved weren’t picking up the contacts name in the phone book.
I.E when receiving a text message, at first glance it would look like the sender was someone NOT in my phonebook as the number was being displayed instead of their name. But further investigation proved that the number WAS in my phonebook and had been from a number of months previous to this.
This is not just happening for one person, its happening for every person in my address book.
    1. The numbers have been duplicated as i have noticed this error happens when they have.
    2. I've deleted all contacts and copied them in again - no change.
    3. Turned on/off
I’m running out of idea's and its driving me mad because at the moment to find out who's the number is, i have to ring it wait for it to display on the screen then hang up.
    Thanks!!!
    marc

Are they on the sim card as well as the phone memory? Not sure whether that affects anything as I never keep numbers on my sim.
Maybe they've been duplicated twice (some people who have sync'd with Outlook etc have had problems like that) - try deleting the contact entry you know is correct - then get it to call you again and see what is displayed - if it's still in there again, it will show a name.

  • N70 unconnect to bluetooth

    Dear Sir
I bought 6 months ago a N70.Everything was OK first of all.Suddenly,I cannot turn my bluuetooth on from close to open button. It is not accepting the open button.
I went to the servise. They told mt that the bluetooth device inside the phone was not working.couldn't find if here in Mersin TURKEY
What is wrong with the machine ??? rweally
    Please advise
    Naomi

Try two things first: Try switching the phone off and reopening it or remove the battery and put it back again, sometimes that helps when the phone screen etc. stalls. If that doesn't work then you may have to take it to a nearby service shop.

  • 6233 and ford bluetooth connectivity

    Hi
I have the 6233 and also have a ford with the bluetooth connectivity within the car. Currently I do not have a manual for using it as ford don't have any but I seem to recall reading somewhere that the 6233 wasn't on the list of compatible phones for the ford software. Is this the case? People have complained to me that when they are speaking to me on my bluetooth in the car they get a very high pitched noise which is annoying more than anyting else, is this a compatibility issue.
Any comments would be much appreciated as it is now starting to annoy me!

Websites are often a good source of information if no manuals are present. From previously helping an associate I know that BMWs have massive problems supporting Nokia phones - they only support Nokia's older phones with specific versions of firmware, and Ford MAY fall into the same category.
You don't specify what model of Ford you have, but in any case I couldn't find any Bluetooth compatibility section on their website - I would recommend that you visit a Ford Service Centre who should be able to advise you further regarding the compatibility issue.
    Hope this helps.

Not a good sign. Try forcing the phone into recovery mode & restoring it. If this fails, make an appointment at an Apple store:
Turn your phone off. Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.
