N70 - Use of the # key to swithch profiles

I used to be able to switch Profiles on my phone between General and Silent (a really useful idea) by pressing and holding down the # key for 1 to 2 seconds.
Since updating the software last week this functionality has been lost.
Can anyone recommend how to get it back?

The Orange variant firmware uses the # key to switch lines... there's no way around that apparently
I believe the most recent version of the Orange firmware allows you to switch off the variant features though... so that could be something to look in to.

What is the use of the key date in filters in IP?

Hi all,
can anybody tell me what the key date on the filter in the planning modeler is good for? It seems to be always overwritten by either the key date in the query or the one set for the infocube in the planning modeler. Even if I don't set a key date for the latter two, the infocube date seems to be taken (I get the current day as query key date).
Or to put it this way: Where do I set my key date when I try to use time-dependent navigation attributes in a planning query? The infocube key date seems to take precedence, but I haven't found a way to derive my key date from the input-ready planning year variable in the query (exit or replacement path won't work).

Do I understand you correctly that the key date on the filter will only have an effect when used in conjunction with planning functions (not queries)? I was going to use one filter both.
I turns out that my problem is rather how BI evalutates the key dates in the query/infocube/filter, and while I might not have the problem with planning functions, I do have it once I try to use key dates on an input-ready query. Since my key date needs to be derived from the planning year variable on-the-fly, only an exit variable used on the query's key date seems to be able to to this (variables in the infocube's key date get evaluated before the query's variable screen is displayed) . Unfortunately, it gets overwritten by whatever is set as key date in the infocube, and the filter's key date does not seem to matter at all.
Further, this seems to be a very IP-specific problem. Not only that normal reporting does only offer one key date (query), if you "manage" to break characteristic relations of your planning cube in a way that input-readiness is no longer provided, things work JUST AS DESIRED....The query's key date takes precedence, and time-dependent navigational attributes get displayed with their correct value.
This can't be right. I do not think that the case of having to use time-dependent navigational attributes in a planning query is rare, so I might have to open a ticket...

Making use of the Key.ALT isDown

I need to make a keyhandler which will respond to the alt key
being pressed, but all i get is the menu. in my experience most
prgrams do not activate the menu's unless the altkey is released
with no other action, OR if alt+? is selected.
So, i am hoping that there is a way to make it so that
alt+arrow_key can be targeted... anyone?

What menu are you talking about? Are you in the IDE? Are you
testing
in a web page? In a Projector?

On WinXP Home, I see the file menu take focus in Flash,
Photoshop, and
Word when I hit Alt by itself. Maybe I don't understand what
you're asking?

the Key class in the ActionScript 2.0 Language Reference;
specifically, the
Key.isDown() method -- you'll see some sample code. Note:
this is for
*most* cases. For better or worse, though, Alt is the odd one
out. Alt
does not trigger the Key.onKeyDown or Key.onKeyUp event.
You have to constantly check for the Alt key in a loop of
some kind,
such as setInterval() or MovieClip.onEnterFrame ...

Transaction CG36: .Key files are successfully checked by u2018Check directoryu2019 in transaction CG36. The second step is the import process. The Import shows u2018greenu2019 successfully. But the Job description shows the following message:

Is anybody familiar with the issue: No file format in the key file?

my assumption would be: there is a typing error in the key file. If the content of the key files is like what you have published you must use in the key file
FFT=PDF
and not
FTT=PDF.
No further information is necessary and the other data seems to be perfect.

PS: if necessary my be you could check DMS customizing. By standard EH&S implemenation a document type "IBD" should be there whiich is used for e.g. pdf file.
PPS: I have no idea why the reimport check does not show up this issue.

How to set the Key Photo in .Mac Web Gallery ?

Has anyone managed to set the key photo in a .Mac Web Gallery album ? The key photo is the photo used on the main page of the Web Gallery to illustrate the event.
In iPhoto, all you do is select in the left column a published .Mac Web Gallery, right-click on the photo you want to set as the key photo, and select "set as key photo".
In aperture, you can do the same in a project, but this will only set the key photo for your "all projects" view. This key photo is not used when exporting the project to .mac web gallery.
In all the web galleries I export from Aperture, the first picture is used as the key photo, it's really a problem. Any solution ?

There is a small "Header Bar" if you will in iPhoto, you can drag the photo you want to that header bar and I think that accomplishes what you want if I understand what you mean by Key Photo (the photo that shows up in e-mail if you forward the gallery to others). My wife and I stumbled on that solution as we were trying to figure it out. Actually I think wife gets the credit, she had the mouse in her hand when it happened .

Using UITouch as key in NSMutableDictionary?

I'm storing some information about touches, and am using the fact that the touch objects are the same ones for the same touch. Now I wanted to make this more efficient by using the UITouch as the key in a NSMutableDictionary for faster lookup - but that doesn't work. Apparently, the dictionary tries to copy the object, but it throws an exception in some copyWithZone method.
I guess I could encapsulate the hash value in a simple class to use as the key, but I wonder if there is a better way to do this? Also, why does NSMutableDictionary try to copy the object that's used the key? Why doesn't it simply store the pointer?

Question: How does the "KEY-COMMIT" trigger work?

Hello All,
What is the “KEY-COMMIT” Trigger for the BLK_UPDATE data block for? When is the Trigger being activated? Where can I find the information regarding the "KEY-COMMIT" Trigger (FYI, I have looked at the ORACLE Form online document and the help in the Forms 6i Builder, but so far I found nothing)?
Any information regarding to the "KEY-COMMIT" Trigger would be greatly appreciated!

"If you want the code inside your KEY-COMMIT-trigger executed, you will have to do a DO_KEY('COMMIT_FORM'); instead"

Anyconnect profiles using by using different extended key attributes

Hi,
I have an anyconnect VPN with workstations located in the same OU in Active Directory. The current anyconnect deployment uses seperate OUs to determine what profile is applied to the client.
I'm looking for a solutiuon to enable machines to be located in a single OU & still have the ability to apply different profiles to machines.
The only way I can think of doing this is using machine certificates in Active Directory & configuring different extended key attributes.
Any advice/suggestions or information on the best way of doing this would be greatly appreciated

Resolved my own issue today. The error does nothing to describe the actual cause. The user's private key was corrupted (uncertain as to how). The certificate GUI in Windows showed it was okay, but running "certutil -store -user my" showed the error "Missing stored keyset" on the certificate in question.
The resolution was to delete the certificate and enroll for a new one, with a new key pair.

As I have a problem with my eyes, This is a serious matter for me.
When I write an e-mail, if I select text and press Command +, it just displaces the text to the right.
Now, my husband has a USB keyboard. If he connects it to my computer, his regular Command + does not work either, but he uses the extended keyboard, then it works. Unfortunately, he needs it for a musical application which does not work with a wireless keyboard.

Firefox 3.6.4 and 3.6.6 use a process called, "plugin-container.exe" which was using up most of my CPU when I opened up multiple tabs that contained Adobe Flash files, and caused Firefox to lock up.
My solution was to use Firefox 3.5.10 which you can get from the Mozilla website at [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html]
I am using Adobe Flash 10.1.53.64 without any problem in this version of Firefox. Check the release notes, I believe it contains all the latest security fixes in "Firefox 3.6.4".
Hopefully, they will fix Firefox 3.6 in the next version (e.g. Firefox 3.6.7), until then you should probably use "Firefox 3.5.10".

I have a solution to this issue now after a discussion with Apple Support. Some where in the last few weeks, there was a change in the key that would do a Show Desktop under the Mission Control settings in the System Preferences. Even though the key sequence that was shown for the Show Desktop setting did not include the Left SHift key, by changing this first to having no key sequence and applying that and then changing it back to the F11 key, the Left SHift key issue that I was having has cleared up.
A second issue that was uncovered was that the SSD had some issues (uncovered when I ran Disk Utility using the Repair Disk key). I had to restart and use the Disk Utility through the Command R sequence to get to the stand alone Disk Utility. The SSD appears to be running better as a result as well.
Hope that this is of use to someone else in the future.

I used the migration assistant to transfer files from my PC to my Mac but it recreated my user profile from the PC and I wanted to transfer the files to the new different user profile I've setup on the Mac. How can I transfer everything now?

I have an older Windows laptop and I am switching to a new MacBook Air. The main user on the Windows laptop is going to be different than the main user on the MacBook. I used the migration assistant to transfer data to the MacBook but it recreated the whole older profile on the new Mac when I just wanted to pull everything over into the new user profile I had already created on the new MacBook. How can I go about putting the data over into the new user profile and erasing the older other user profile it recreated? Would I erase the old user profile on the new Mac and start over with the migration assistant using some setting I missed that lets me pull the data over to the new main user on the MacBook? Or is there a way to rename the old user profile on the Mac to match what I want the new username/password to be somehow?
Or would it be best to back the data I really need from the old PC onto an external HD and then copy it over to the new Mac from the external HD?
Looking for advice on how to best go about this. On the old PC I had multiple profiles and it was awkward. On the new Mac I just want a single profile for the primary user and both users will just share the same user profile. I wasn't sure if the Migration Assistant only let you recreate entire profiles or if there was a way to just import data from the old PC's primary profile into the new Mac's new primary profile with some setting adjustment.
Data would be docs, pics, bookmarks, music. Fairly basic.

Is there a way to scan a device/network for the key that's in use? (even if a partial)

We have a way of keeping our installs of acrobat to the same number of actual purchases made, but what we don't have is a good way of making sure that the actual key that was acquired with a PO was actually used on the associated device. Most of this comes from poor management of licenses and lazy technicians that used any key they could find to install the software. So, our reseller provides us a list of all keys that we've purchased as well as the number of volume licenses and such. I would like to know if there is a way I can scan the acrobat-installed devices and compare keys against the list of keys I have been provided. I have about ~100 devices with varying versions ranging from 6 to 11. I'm shooting for having a list of hostnames with their purchased license key and a faster way of creating this list than manually going to each machine.
I want to do this so that I can more easily automate Hardware/OS migrations. If the product is installed with the wrong key, I want to have it reinstalled on the new hardware/OS with the correct key. And also just to have better bookkeeping.
Or can I just keep using the volume key for a product version as long as I keep the install count at or under the purchased count?

There is no alt key, so no, but there are a lot of preloaded symbols already on the phone, all you have to do is hold a key and extra options will come up. For example, if you want an accent over a, hold a, and it will give you options for it. This also works with the symbols, for example, the $ symbol can be held to provide the money symbol for euros, yens, pounds, etc.
