N71 faulty or not??

Can any user of the N71 wz a screen guard cordially tell me plz if he's facing any problem concerning the screen scratches?? does the screen guard solve the scratches' problem totally?? plz answer me coz i love this phone and can't wait 2 get 1, but i'm afraid of the EXPECTED scratches!!

I've had to buy a new phone as the scratches were so bad. It's a stupid fault which Nokia corrected with the N93.
I took it to my local NSP and 6 months of lies, I had to write to Nokia - their best advice was to send the phone back to them. Wot a load of **bleep**.
Shame really as Nokia make good phones but their aftersales is the WORST around.

Sender FTP Adapter - Archive faulty files not working

Hello,
We are on SAP PI 7.11 SP 06
We have a scenario where we are reading CSV files from a FTP location.
File Sender Adapter is polling the FTP location for CSV files, if there
is any error during FCC we need to move the faulty file under a
particular directory on FTP server.
Archive faulty files tick is click under the communication channel and
also the required directory is specified, but the functionality is not
working.
If there is a faulty file it is just adding a rejected prefix to the
file and keeping the file in the polling directory. It is not moving
the file in the rejected directory specified in the communication
channel.

Are you trying to archive the file on the same FTP server or a different FTP server? Archiving the faulty file on the FTP server might not have expected results. And if you are trying to archive the file on a separate FTP server, it wouldn't probably be achieved using the simple file adapter functionalities.
The best way would be to archive the faulty files to an NFS location on your PI server (this will certainly work, even if it's FTP mode) and then use a separate script or PI interface (file tunneling) to move these files from PI server File System to FTP archive location.

It seems I have to deauthorise ALL computers then authorise them one at a time !

Unless you can get into iTunes on the faulty computer in order to deauthorize it, then you will have to deauthorize all of them.

You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
1. Open iTunes on a computer
2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.

IPhone bluetooth faulty? not the headset but the phone itself?

I have read all of the posts about bluetooth headsets being static'y or otherwise problematic. Lack of range, static, complaints from the person on the other end, etc.
Isn't it possible that the iPhone's bluetooth is the problem?
I have tried two different manufacturer's headsets, both with good reps, and have had the same problems that those with Apple Bluetooth Headsets have been reporting.
I have exactly the same problems regardless of which bluetooth headset is used.

I thought bluetooth was supposed to have a 30 foot range... Should interjecting a half a body between headset and iphone have an extreme affect?
Also, when trying to use the iPhone with bluetooth headsets for a phone call; I lose wifi contact with my router.
Although I really love my new MBP which I have had a month +
I cannot say the same for this iPhone.
I had really high hopes as I waited for it these last few months
but it has been a frustrating experience. Poor volume, prolems with tap input, missing web gallery button; touchscreen that ignores taps and touches!

Not starting up at all..

Hi guys, I bought a new hard drive and ram for my mbp, so I figured I'd install it myself after reading some guides. I opened it up, but was missing the right screwdriver to actually remove anything so I closed it back up. I was really careful not to mess with anything. So when I reclosed it I figured I'd switch the ram. Did that, but I'm not totally sure I put the sticks in at the right angle. Anyways so I started it up and only got beeps. I'm typing this on my itouch as I'm basically screwed without my mac. If I have to get it checked, I will, but there are no close apple stores so it's not ideal. Any ideas what the problem probably is? I know I'm dumb and should have just gotten everything installed, just not sure what I could possibly have done since all I did was look inside basically, plus I'm not sure how picky the ram slots are. Anyways, I really appreciate anyone offering their expertise!

Beeps mean the ram is either faulty or not installed properly.

Backup/Restore from PC Suite with N71 worthless

Hi,
I have used Backup from PC Suite (Version 6.82.22.0) to backup my N71 data before I gave the N71 to a repair shop. The N71 camera was not working.
After four weeks I got a N71 replacement. A brand new N71 with a different serial number which is not good because some S60 apps now no longer work.
But anyway the real surprise I got was after I run Restore from PC Suite to get all data back. The Restore finished without any error but almost nothing useful was restored!!
No Contacts, No Messages, No phone Setup (Themes, Bluetooth Config, Apps).
Huh???
Is this really how Backup/Restore from PC Suite with a Symbian S60 3rd Nokia N71 us supposed to work??
If yes, than Backup is utterly worthless!!
I am not aware that I did something wrong. I have used Backup regularly and never got any error messages.
But it is painfully obvious that the most important data from the phone are not saved!
All the Restore did was restore some audio and image files and the Notes contents.

Boot Device Not Found Please Intall an Operating system on your hard disk. Hard Disk - (3F0)

Hello,
I tried to re-install de OS from windows 7 to windows 8.1 and when the bios update driever was installed and the laptop was restaring it appeared the folowing window and message:
Boot Device Not Found Please Intall an Operating system on your hard disk. Hard Disk - (3F0)
After that i tried a lot of different ways to get to boot device select ...but i couldn't do anything. I removed the HDD and i put it back, i've tried with holding in the same time windows +B and pressing the power button in the same time for 1..2 seconds and then i've waited for at least 1 minute..and it didn't appeared anything on the screen. I've done the hard drive check and it passed. The weirdest thing is that when i want to select a boot device to re-install again the OS, i can't see any boot device to select. I need to mention that i've formatted the HDD in another computer. I dont care about the informations from the HDD beacause i saved all the informations on another device storage.
Please help me repair this problem!!! thanks a lot!

Whenever you get a message stating that the boot device not found it could be because of bad sectors on the Hard Drive. Its not necessary that the Hard Drive Test should fail to determine if the Hard Drive if its faulty or not. Sometimes even if the Hard Drive Test passes the Hard Drive will still not work because of the bad sectors in it.
Best way to find out if its the Hard Drive you can try the Hard Deive on a different Notebook which would help you determine if it's faulty or not.
Could be due to Application or driver conflicts, virus issues, file corruptions due to incompatible applications, improper shutdowns, update failures due to conflicts, sudden power surges, if notebook is dropped etc..
HP will provide a replacement Hard Disk Drive if the Notebook warranty is Active, If not you need buy a SATA Hard Disk Drive from a retail shop nearby
Please make sure you are getting at least equal capacity as the original one in order to use Recovery Disks. If you need you can buy a larger, but not smaller capacity Hard Disk Drive. For example if you have a 500GB Hard Disk Drive you can upgrade it to 750GB Hard Disk Drive but not 320GB Hard Disk Drive
Please try the below shown troubleshooting steps once:
Step 01. Remove the battery and unplug the AC/Power Adapter
Step 02. Press and hold the Power button for more than 30 Seconds
Step 03. Plug in the AC/Power Adapter (leave the Battery out for now)
Step 04. Press the Power button and check if the Unit works normal
If the above mentioned steps does not help, then you can try reseating the Hard Drive on your Notebook
If the issue persists again please Contact HP if your HP Notebook is under warranty, HP would replace the Hard Disk Drive and provide you a Recovery media to restore factory operating system after replacement (if you've not yet created Recovery Discs/USB Media)
Note: Back up all the personal data to an external drive if it's possible. Otherwise you could connect the failed HDD via SATA to USB adapter with another PC or same PC after replacement of HDD & re-installation of OS and try copying /recovering the files.

Details you have provided for account assignment in item detail is not faulty or not sufficient.
If you are charging PO to a cost center, check for cost center and GL account.

Archive Faulty Source files

Hi all,
What is the use of "Archive Faulty Source files" option in Sender File FTP adapter. When I can use it.
In general, we can expect error only at the mapping level in moni in that case file would have already been picked from the source directory and then deleted.
But I think when we enable this option, I feel like the file has to still remain in the source directory after having failed to process and this file has to be archived in a seperate directory for error messages. How do I achieve this and when can a file remain in the source directory itself without being deleted in case of error other than mapping error which is seen in Moni.

Hi Nithiyanandam,
I faced the same issue of faulty files not getting archived to the fault archive folder.
But finally I realized that the XML validation is happening at Integration engine and not at adapter level so it archives all the files which are getting read.
I checked the option of validation by adapter in ICO(this can be done only while creating ICO, otherwise it is greyed out) and this can also be checked in Sender agreement.
Finally the files were getting archived to fault archive folder in case of invalid xml files and valid ones to original archive folder.
There is no need to message transformation bean for achieving this.

Macbook pro osx v 10.9.5 will not recognize or play netflix dvds

My macbook pro osx 10.9.5 2.4 GHZ Intel Core i5 will not longer play any netflix dads. I have even tried 2 separate external stand alone drives hooked up to my mbp via usb and 4 different movies and one will play in any source and the discs are in brand new condition. I insert the disc into the mbp drive and you hear it trying to read the dvd about 3 times, failing, then spits it out. Over and over I have tried.
What is very strange is dvd movies that I personally own will play fine no problem.
This is the first time that I tried to watch a netflix dvd in my mbp since I did an update and I do not remember when that update was done.
Do you think there is some sort of protection on the netflix dvds that could be causing this? or maybe this osx version is faulty and not able to play or recognize rental dvds?
any ideas would be much appreciated.

Have you used DVDs that have different region codes? It may be that your DVD drive is locked for a region code different from what Netflix is programmed for.

QuickTime need codec to play avi on MacBook Pro retinal display but not on other Mac's with Mountain Lion?

Why will avi play on all my Mac's with Mountain Lion but not on my Retinal Display 13" Macbook Pro? Quicktime players are the same, OS are the same plugins are the same and up to date. Get the missing Codec warning only on retinal display.

You don't say if your MacBook Pro is the new version that supports USB 3, if not the card reader will default to USB 2. The Ultra II is listed as 10Mb/s on old cards and 15MB/s on new cards, both within USB 2 specification. Extreme III are listed as 20MB/s old cards and 30MB/s new. If the Macbook Pro as USB 3 support it could be that it does not recognise the card reader as USB 3 and default to USB 2.

Of course the card reader could be faulty and not read the Extreme III cards unless you have verified it working in other situations.

Video card not quite dead yet?

Had something interesting happen to my late 2009 27" i5 iMac. I've worked on Macs for years and never saw a case quite like this, but it's my machine this time, so maybe I need an outside perspective.
This weekend I watched an HD stream for 3 hours and you know how that get's the heat up and the fans spinning. Shortly after the stream was over, the screen froze and there was a lot of artifacting on the screen. I'd describe it as random little gray markings all over the screen.
Usually I see something like this and assume the video card is gone or on its way out. I tried rebooting and the screen froze with artifacts about half-way through startup. Then I booted to the recovery partition and the same thing. Booted to an external drive - same thing.
Eventually I just put it in Target Disk Mode and made a clone of the hard drive (went well, although there were pretty vertical bands on the screen). After that I left it alone.
Turned it on the next day and was surprised to see it boot up normally. It's been working for a couple of days now, so I assume the video card overheated and that was the issue. However, it's not 100%. Now when I watch Netflix, there a really strange choppy motion effect (making it unwatchable), but only when I watch non-HD stuff. HD streams fine. Weird, right?
I also tried running Dragon Age 2 as a test. Where it previously ran fine, now it has a seriously choppy look to it.
Has anyone seen something like this before? It's really odd to me that it works fine, but performance is diminished when pushed. There's another site I stream 1080p videos from and they look really choppy now, but if I download the video in 1080p, they play fine.
I don't know if I have a specific question and I think the writing is on the wall, but I guess I'd just like to hear from other techies for some perspective.

In case anyone finds this and is interesting, the video card indeed was faulty, but not quite dead. Replaced it and it worked fine after.

Windows Xp not detecting Ipod Need help

When i plug my ipod in to my desktop my ipod starts charging but it doesnt detect my ipod.I have even tried to do that restore thing where you hold menu/center button then when the apple logo appears hold center button/play or pause.I really really need help with getting my computer to detect my ipod.

Actually, the "vice-versa" part works, Macs can read and write Windows formatted iPods, but you can only manage music manually (syncing does not work until it it is restored for Mac). But back to the topic...
And it seems like this is a situation where the iPod has been working and now it does not. Please correct me if this assumption is wrong.
You have to eliminate the possible problems one by one, as many as possible. Starting at the computer... Note: These are separate things to try, not a single procedure.
Power down and restart the computer, if you have not already.
Try a different USB port.
Try a different docking cable, if possible. The connectors can become worn. Only two pins handle the power, so it is very possible for it to charge yet not connect for data.
The dock connector on the iPod may be worn out or have become faulty. Not much you can do about that, except have it replaced.
The "thing where you hold menu/center button" is not a restore. It is a reset (think rebooting your PC). Make sure you do it again following these instructions precisely.

If this does not help, put the iPod into disk mode, and then connect it to the computer.

If you manage to get iTunes to recognize the iPod, you may then want to do a restore (think reformatting your PC's hard drive and reinstalling Windows). This will erase the iPod and initialize its software. Then you can sync your iTunes library again.

Is Nvidia FX-570 also a faulty graphics card?

After ordered T61P-AV8 with Nvidia FX-570 graphics card, I was told that all "G84/86 gpu are bad". Since Dell has already provided the BIOS upgrades. Of course BIOS upgrade is some kind of "half-a**" pitch, but it at least proves the faults in mentioned gpus.
Can someone tell me if the FX-570 within T61 is also faulty or not? If it is so, what is the plan for Lenovo to solve the problem?

NVIDIA has not commented very clearly on which the bad batches were to the public and probably never will, so it's only the company bigheads who know what's really going on.
Given the current bits and pieces of information which is publicly available at the moment, there is no reason to believe that the NVIDIA GPUs in our T61(p) notebooks are not affected by this problem.
I'd love to hear a statement from Lenovo too. However, I'm a bit afraid that there is some kind of coverup going on at NVIDIA and secret agreements and terms being negotiated between NVIDIA and the companies who used their chips.
