N72 German Language

Hello,
I have bought a N72 that has been made in Beijing in Bangladesh, but the only languages available on the phone are English, Philipino, Indonesian and Malaysian. I have asked in a Nokia Care Center today but they said they can't install a German Language Pack therer I also tried updating the firmware but it already had the newest preinstalled. Isn't there any other way to get German language on the phone?????????

Help should be provided by a Nokia Care Point to add languages to your phone. There may be a small charge for this service.

I wrote about a bug in 30EA2. Was this message noticed by the developers?
The bug still exists in 30EA3.
In new folders for user definded reports only the options "Kopieren" and "Exportieren" (copy and export) are available, when SQL-Deverloper runs in German language mode.
A workaround is to force language to English with the line
AddVMOption -Duser.language=en
in sqldeveloper.conf

In the past I wrote several times about a bug in SQL Developer when running in German language mode. This bug is still not fixed in 3.1 EA2:
In new folders for user definded reports only the options "Kopieren" and "Speichern unter ..." ('Copy' and 'Cave as') are available, when SQL-Deverloper runs in German language mode. Other options like "Bearbeiten, Neuer Ordner, Neuer Bericht, Ausschneiden, Einfügen, Löschen" (Edit, New Folder, New Report, Cut, Paste, Delete) are missing. A workaround is to force language to English with the line
AddVMOption -Duser.language=en
in sqldeveloper.conf

Sharepoint 2013: Problem / Error when creating Variation Hierarchy for French and German Languages from Variation root EN

Hi,
I have a website with English and Arabic Language Packs installed. I have the corresponding Variation heirachies created and the whole site collection is published.
Recently the client asked for french and german languages to be accomodated as well. So I followed the same approach I did for English and arabic (installed the language packs) for foundation, ran ocnfiguration wizard, installed server language pack &
ran configuration wizard.
But after creating the variation label, when i try to create the variation heirarchy, I am getting the following error.
"Unknown failure when creating a variation of page http://server:port/en/pages/default.aspx in label /fr/Pages/default.aspx.
The Variations Create Hierarchies job failed with the following error message& Unknown failure when creating a variation of site
http://server:port/en in label fr."
Am not sure what is going wrong. Appreciate a feedback.

Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that the error occurred when you created the Variation Hierarchy for French and German Languages from Variation root EN.
I recommend to check the Resources folder located at C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\15 to see if the file core.fr-FR.resx exists in the folder.

Windows 8 installation failure with German language pack

Hi,
I have a Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E330 with Windows 8. We just received it over Xmas - nice product. Just one Thing so far: I can't get the German language pack installed. Language, Keyboard layout and other regional Settings are set to German. After downloading the German language pack through Language->German->options->Download and Install Language pack (German Language Pack - Windows 8 for x64-based Systems - (KB2607607) [de-DE_LP])I always run into the following error during the Installation (download seems to be fine, error happens after about 2/3 of the Installation - if you believe the Progress bar). From the Event Viewer:
Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80070002: German Language Pack - Windows 8 for x64-based Systems - (KB2607607) [de-DE_LP].
I already tried quite some stuff without success: no pending Upgrades, several reboots, switching off Firewall/anti-Virus, selective reboot just with Winodws Services and Startup stuff, ... No success.
Does anybody have seen a similar Problem? Anybody with a solution to get the German language pack finally installed?

How to identify german language in a program

Hi All,
i have one requirement. that is how to identify german language in a program.(suppose text elements, data elements are in german language our program should identify that german language). Anybody have solution for this, pls send me as soon as possible.

2 possible approaches:
1. Source language: Every program is initially created with source language = logon language. Sored in TRDIR-RLOAD.
2. Try to read program texts in specific language (DE).
    READ TEXTPOOL pv_repid INTO lt_textpool LANGUAGE 'D'.
    IF sy-subrc                           = 0.
      MESSAGE s000(R1)
        WITH 'German texts present in' pv_repid '' ''.
    ELSE.

Time fields disabled with german language package (Work Manager 6.0.0)

I detected a problem with WorkManager 6.0.0 on SMP 2.3 SP3 on the german language packet. The fields hours and minutes are disabled and can't be selected at any position where it is possible to select the time. I assume it is some sort of timezone error, but to make sure I removed the german umlauts to check if it's an encoding problem.
If I switch back to English the fields are clickable again.
Has anyone a suggestion how I can fix this problem.

Only German Language fails in Portal view of SUS app

Hello,
We are running SAP's SUS (Supplier Self Services) through the portal. Everything works fine in any language except German. German works when using SUS through the backend.
When a user with the German Language set opens the Self Services tab the background image appears but the page stays blank. No errors, except the page should not be blank.
We have a QA system and the German Language still works there. We also have SAP's EBP connected through the portal and the German language works there as well.
Does this indicate a problem with Portal or SUS?

Problems loading plugin on Austrian (German language) machines

I've just has a rather embarassing session of trying to show my site on PCs in Autria and I wondered if other people had had special problems with German language machines (other than trying to find the "Y"). We downloaded the JRE and netscape was amongst the browsers recognised at installation time yet, when we tried to run the applet it went it displayed the "Plugin required" image. My web pages uses the combination/selection of <embed and <object tags recomended by Sun.
We also tried Mozilla and IE. Mozilla just closed itself when displaying the page, IE displayed the applet area blank.
I run this applet page routinely at home on Netscape, IE and Mozilla without problems.
Even more embarassing one Austrial version of IE actually crashed apparently just trying to run my Javascript.
This creates something of a problem, I'm heading back to the UK tomorrow and if it's something to do with the Locale it's not going to be easy to sort out.

well afaik(and i am austrian) we dont hav our "own" version of nething.
i personally havnt seen any problems with the Y, only the special characters such as �,�,� and � might cause problems.
neither did i ever encounter problems with the JRE, which u mentioned.
this may be a problem of the Windows version u were running, like win98. i remember some problems in the past that sound like yours.

So i think you should to call fetch the data when your are about to print a form..
best way would be to call a subroutine in a script editor.. this routine will fetch all the data from database table ,, and it wud just like a ABAP form ..
Pls follow the steps,,
1. Create a Z program in SE38, declare all the structure related to data fetching in that,, perform all data selection,, fill these data structure..
2. You should to paste your code within the Form and endform .. Like below:
REPORT Zcall_in_script .
form data_fetch.
all the data retreval part .....
endform.
3. Now in your script ,, to call this form use below syntex,,
/:   PERFORM data_fetch IN PROGRAM Zcall_in_script
/:   USING &w_value1&
/:   USING &w_value2&
/:    CHANGING &w_value3&
/:   CHANGING &w_value4&
/:   ENDPERFORM
4. here you can have the w_value3 & w_value4 as your fetch value .

Welcome mail on my new icloud email is in German language although my setting is English

I just opened a new icloud mail account, the welcome message that came from apple is in German language although my mail "Setting" is English language

If secureserver.net is IMAP then all emails will by definition come back unless you dragged emails into folders residing only "On My Mac" in Apple Mail on your previous machine. If secureserver.net is POP and your mail is not coming back, the only thing that could be from is the messages being deleted from the server, esp. if they aren't showing up in web mail. It's even possible that the thieves deleted all of your messages. Check you webmail's trash bin.
Do you have a backup? Can you contact your email provider about possible data recovery? Sorry, this sounds terrible!

How can I get a German language Lexicon?

I recently purchased a Macbook Air for use while traveling abroad. Now that I'm in Germany, I'd like to write in German. I purchased Pages to do word processing, and I see that it references the New Oxford American Dictionary when Spell Checking. The program seems to do a fairly decent job of Spell Checking German Language words, now that I figured out how to specify which language I wish to use, BUT right clicking orusing Control Command D on a German language word to look up a Thesaurus entry, or Dictionary entry returns only "No Result Found".
Ideally I would like the same tools available to me that I have in my PC desktop - namely Microsoft Office with the Language Pack upgrade.
Please, don't recommend buying Microsoft Office. I don't plan to give up my PC - too many dollars invested in too many applications. I intend to use the Macbook Air only for travel and a couple of singular apps that I can only find in the Mac world.
I want to spell check, grammar check, lookup words in a German language dictionary, and be able to do all this within Pages, or while writing or responding to e-mail.
By the way, I purchased Ultralingua's German/English Dictionary, but Apple in its infinite wisdom has disallowed the ability to do lookups via function key, which work beautifully on the pc based notebook I had previous to the Airbook. It's simply not convenient for me to constantly hop between apps to do the lookup work on the Air.
Any suggestions?

To find out whether MS Office for Mac does what you want, it is probably best to search/ask in the forums MS runs. It's really up to MS to ensure compatibility of its products between the platforms.

Data elment descriptions, documentation, text elements, etc. can be translated in the transaction se63.
Also you can translate almost each single object in the editor in the menue goto-translation.
