N73 - 0539108 and NSU (I am stuck with old firmwar...
Dear all,
I have a N73 (RM-133) with the product number 0539108 which I have bought in Denmark.
I can see that every other owner of their N73 have a updated firmware for their N73. But my specific product number do not have the newest update.
Should I just be patient? Or is it a NSU bug? Is it not desginated for the Nordic teritory?

I called Nokia today.
I got the worst service ever.
I am - to my own opinion - always polite, but the gentleman who tried to help me was not. He first tried to explain some things which were not going to help me (restart the phone, format the phone etc.)
He then explained that Nokia did not plan to have firmware updates for my phone model as it has been purchased together with a subscription (Telia).
I then asked if I understood it right, that Nokia gave a worse service to customers who have purchased their phones with subscriptions than customers who have purchased their phones without a subsription.
I am pretty sure, that - if it is true - is a vilation of the Danish Marketing Practices Act.
So if anybody does not get updates for their firmware, this may - if true - be the reason.

I have bought a European (French) version of the E71 (RM-346) and I'm stuck with the 400.21.013 version of the firmware, that has been released in October 2009. For some reason, I have never been able to upgrade to the 410.21.010 version, released 08 February 2010. Now a new version to the firmware is available (500.21.009) but I still can't upgrade. I have just checked the Nokia website: here the message I got :

Even though I'm pretty found of the phone, I feel like being a beta tester who has paid full price for its buggy phone and I'm tired of having to reset the phone twice a day. Maybe my upgrade will be available for version 600.XX.XXX? Is that a hard reset reverting to factory settings ?.
i would in your shoes hard reset that fails to help then redownload and install current firmware .
or take the phone to a Nokia care centre for advice .

iCloud backup is unable to access my account, because email I used for iCloud account is been deleted. And my iPad is stuck with this note on a screen, can't go Settings. How do I delete or edit my iCloud account?
You can eirther I think go on ITunes or if you can get to settings you would just go to iCloud.

I just updated my phone and it is now stuck with usb cable and itunes logo and itunes on my computer says I have to restore. Can I get my phone working again without loosing my photos?
There is no other way than to plug into a computer to restore the phone. You can use another computer to do so, but in case you did not back up to iCloud your data and settings will be gone.

I erased my windows partition using disk utility then realized I should have used boot camp, because now I can't resize the original partition and seem to be stuck with a ghost unusable space. Boot Camp now doesn't give me the option to install or remove windows partition.

The problem is that I did erase the partition, using disk utility, but I can't go back to my original disk size pre-partition, as disk utility won't let me do it and gives the message "Couldn’t modify partition map because file system verification failed." When I try to use Boot Camp Assistant it won't let me select the third option to remove windows. -
I have an iPad and iPhone but am stuck with Tiger and Leopard on my old powerbook G4. Will I still be able to get my email on my PowerBook after I upgrade to iCloud? I don't have the cash to upgrade the mac right now. Just wondering what my email options are. Thank You.
You will be able to get your mail on the PowerBook. The calendars (iCal) will not sync; any events added to iPad and/or iPhone will not sync with the Mac but will sync with each other (that is: the mobile devices which are on iCloud). My MacBook Pro (Lion) and iPad2 (iOS5) sync fine; I still get my Mail on iBook G4, MacBook Pro (Snow Leopard) and iMac (Snow Leopard).

As posted in another thread, after having my first ever screen flickers only after installing the 4850 firmware patch:
"Called tech support. She had me do a PRAM reset and since then I loaded 25 programs, many of which were busy doing things like playing music, using iSight, playing video - no more flicker or black screens. I expressed my doubts that the PRAM reset would help, but it appears to have been effective for this.
By the way, with 25 programs loaded and several active, I was able to use only 4 GB of this 16 GB machine. All 8 threads were busy but overall CPU use was modest most of the time. I think I taxed the GPU though and no problems." -
I have two Apple Ids. My first iphone was set with the icloud id that I don't use anymore.
I cannot delete that account because I cannot remember the password.
I tried to reset and the security questions come back incorrect, which they are not,
and when I ask for email reset, it won't send me the email.
I have a different appleID that I am now using, unfortunately my phone is stuck
on the old one.
I don't know what to do.No responds from apple support? I have the same issue too, apple CEO are there to count our money. Customer service are paid to do their dirty job, and yet they ignore us. They created this forum site just for us users to solve their problem.

Hello, I used to purchase games of big fish games. Since February I can't purchase in apps. After purchasing I receive a mail that I've been charged, but the game is not downloaded. The process is stuck and Each time I get another comment, "authenticating", "purchase is being processed right now" etc. I tried to delete apps and download again, restart the ipad, enable and disable restrictions and nothing helps. I always get a refund but the problem remains the same. Did anyone meet the same problem?
Look, I understand I still need a card attached to the account. The problem is, it won't accept my card because I only have 87 cents in my bank account right now.
If I had known there would be so much trouble with the iTunes card, I would have just put the cash in my bank account in the morning instead of buying an iTunes card (I didn't expect the banks to be open on Thanksgiving of course).
Apple will only accept cards that have a balance. The balance is so small in my account that it won't accept it as a valid card.
I'm going to have to contact Apple anyway to reset the security questions. That's obvious. Your answers were not exactly helpful. You didn't tell me anything I don't already know, but thanks for trying to be helpful. -

turn off your phone, then unplug from the usb cable, but leave that cable attached to the computer. Importaint!: Quit Itunes. Then with your phone off, hold down the home button and plug the usb cable into the phone. keep the home button pushed until you see the connect to itunes screen. Itunes will launch and it will see it in recovery mode. -
I started using my external monitor with my macbook pro and as soon as I plug it in it to the monitor it adjusts the screen by zooming out a bit and creating about 3/4 of an inch black borders on the top and bottom of the screen. But these dont show up on the monitor so I assumed it was fine. But when I took it off the monitor, the borders were still there like it was still on the monitor. Any hellp? Its starting to mess with my eyes haha.

It sounds like you had the external display set to mirror the internal display so the resolution(s) were changed to match each other.

I was instructed by I Tunes to restore my Iphone 4 - ITunes has since said it is unable to restore. I am now left with a black screen with Itunes logo on it and a picture of the charger attachment at the base of the screen and I am unable to do anything now with the device. I think I may have lost all of my information on the device too ~ can anyone help please?
You have lost all your data, but hopefully you were backing it up with iCloud or iTunes. You can try this:
Turn your phone off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your phone and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a phone in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings. -
My phone is plugged in and the screen shows the power cord connector and arrow and the iTunes logo. I have made sure the plug is in and power on. Touching the screen does nothing. I have turned it off and back on I get an apple pic then back to the iTunes logo pic, arrow and plug....
I installed new update and have had the connect to iTunes all day. I got home connected to iTunes and it said my phone couldn't be updated it needed restored to factory settings. I was reluctant to lose everything so I ignored this and clicked update. After it installed it said to restore again. Again I ignored it and this time it updated my phone and my phone turned back on with everything there.
So glad I ignored the previous messages asking me to restore! You could try this if you have iTunes and don't want it restored to factory settings.
