N73, 3UK's Mobile Mail and QuickOffice

Wondering if someone can assist me please.
I've a Nokia N73 on the UK 3 Network (with the X-Series Silver service). I've it working with 3's Mobile Mail application - which is a push mail email client, and this is configured and working.
However - Attachments which should be openable using QuickOffice are causing me grief (PDF files are fine).
When selecting the attachments I'm being prompted to download them. Once this is done, I still cannot view the attachment - the attachments are correctly being identified as being openable with QuickOffice.
For example with MS-Word attachments, selecting the attachment at this point makes the screen refresh, and the top icon/name changes to show "Quickword", but the lower shows again the list of attachments. The 'buttons' show the options of 'Options' (left) and 'Back' (right).
Only 'Back' works, which takes me back to the 'Attachments' list - where I can select an alternative attachment - with the same result.
The same is true for Excel (where the top would show 'Quicksheet') and Powerpoint (top shows 'Quickpoint').
However, QuickOffice appears to work as I can Bluetooth a Word file to the phone and this is then viewable using QuickWord.
Anyone any thoughts as to what maybe wrong?

lain, Quickoffice Customer Service has attempted to reproduce the problems that you are having with opening documents from email, however as of yet they have all opened successfully. Could it possibly be due to the email provider that you are using? We typically test using Mail for Exchange from Nokia and it has routinely been successful for us. I would suggest that you contact us directly at http://support.quickoffice.com and provide an example document that will not open so we can try it out directly. In addition, we will soon be issuing a new release (Quickoffice v4) and it has already won awards from Nokia for Best Enterprise Application. Vendor mobile number and e mail ID.

In which table the vendor mobile number(MOB_NUMBER) and mail ID(SMTP_ADDR) will store.
IN ADR6 the mail ID will get but how to link it to LFA1 table.through ADDNUMBR i cont link.
bec ADDRNUMBER is not in LFA1 and ADRNR is available in LFA1 not in ADR6.
In ADR2, ADR3 I'mnot getting mobile number.

you have to link LFA1-ADRNR with ADR6-ADDRNUMBER
that is not any problem because both fields have the same length and attributes.
ADR2 has the telefon numbers, if the number belongs to a mobile phone then the field R3_USER has a 2 or 3 as indicator

This is generally handled by your e-mail provider, not your e-mail reader.
For example, I use Gmail and it filters spam before it ever gets to my inbox. If something does get through, I can move it to the spam folder on my iPhone to report it as spam.

Thanks for the answer, but the external POP accounts I had in my MobileMe are working in my iCloud! I receive all the e-mails that are directed to those POP accounts, in my iCloud e-mail, since I migrated from Mobileme to iCloud. So, iCloud accepts external accounts, but i doesn't allow us to edit new configurations or to send e-mails using Pop Accounts through it. Very weird. Does anybody have a solution?

This one is easy, try with keywords : SHDB XK01 address (always use simple words, then restrict selection if required)
(Also having solved same problem some years ago, can help too , the first time I got 653536 - Recording communication data cannot be processed version 1, SAP had not yet created/added the knowledge document to OSS search)

You probably know that mobilme goes away in June this year. There are two ways to access your mail account on iCloud, either through Lion or via the web. Web access won't get you to all the benefits of iCloud but will allow you to get to Mail, Contacts, Calendar, and Find My iPhone. See this FAQ: http://www.apple.com/mobileme/transition.html
If you decide to go with Lion, the maximum memory you can install is 4GB, however the system will only use 3GB, which is enough to run Lion. Torch 9800 - Mobile Data and BIS not activated - Mail & Browse fail, Opera Mini is slow and MSN and Yahoo go in timeout

I have a BB Torch 9800 with OS 6.0 Bundle 2534
I had a contract with the Mobile Operator including the Data Package and everything was working fine, I have access to the mail through BIS, MSN Messenger and Yahoo Messenger was working Ok, as far as Whatsup. Also the Browser was working Ok.
When I was on roaming I have settled “Roaming Off” in “Mobile Network Options” to just use Internet over Wi-Fi when I was under the Wi-Fi coverage.
Then I’ve decided to migrate the contract to “Recharchable” and also decided to dismiss the Data Packet because of cost limitations. Now I have BIS in “not connected” state.
Problem now is that I cannot get the apps working when connected to any Wi-Fi AP.
Mail is not working. MSN & Yahoo returns the message “Unable to find the requested server” when attempting to login. The Browse is also not working and only Opera Mini seems to work but it takes several minutes to build a page.
I’ve also tried to ping the AP and it rarely succeed, sometimes all attempts are failing, sometimes one attempt succeed.
It seems to my eyes that there is a terribly big delay and some applications (except mail and browse that shows not to work) go in timeout with the message previously described.
I’m not sure whether BIS access or no access is influencing the BB behavior with a Wi-Fi connection and making dramatically slower.
The BB connects at Layer 1 with the AP because I can see the BB MAC address at the AP’s menu. I’ve tried also with DHCP Client and Manual IP configuration, no way.
I’ve found at http://forums.crackberry.com/general-blackberry-discussion-f2/unable-find-requested-server-bb-9330-a... that it could be a bug in the 6.0.
I’ve searched tons of forum postings and it seems no one has the clue of this problem. Unfortunately the Torch 9800 cannot be upgraded to the 7.x. this is really bad as it seems I have purchased a “dead” mobile phone.
Of course I’ve tried with lots a different Aps. I’m a technician and I think I’ve done a proper troubleshooting before to come to this conclusion.
Anyone has an update about this problem or, I have no other chance than throwing away this phone and purchase a nice Samsung Note II hopping not be blocked with another unexpected showstopper.

The only two options available to you are adding BIS to your plan or continue using Opera which works outside of BIS (the BlackBerry browser does not).

The newest version of iTunes is awful when it comes to Cloud syncing-file management. I'm constantly frustrated with what iTunes 'chooses to eliminate from my mobile device and settings aren't fine-grained enough to allow for real user control.

I'm endlessly frustrated with iTunes Cloud syncing, something that was supposed to make lenjoying my music easier. I routinely find that, though itunes and podcasts have been split, iTunes arbitrairily removes music files or in progress podcast in favor of 'new' podcasts. The settings are just not fine-grained enough to allow true user control and so we are instead subjected to 'Apple knows best' protocols. I understand and appreciate the level of exacting control Apple excercises over their ecosystem, however, more and more often I see them tightening control over things that should be user control while dropping the ball on aesthetic desisions made in producing their own software (see the hideous pull down tab for iTunes to access Podcast, TV shows, Music, etc.
I would like to see features like those in Mail and the Podcasting apps implemented in iTunes afor the management of content on mobile devices, for instance it would be great to swipe to delete files that you know longer want on your device, at both the album and song level. Another issues is the new pushiness of iRadio and iTunes Store, the app now seems to default to the iRadio page (versus the last page Albums, songs, etc. that the user was navigating, or in the instance of the iTunes Store push, if I doon't have all the tracks of an album i own on my mobile device 'complete my album' takes you to iTunes store rather than showing the 'cloud' download icon next to missing tracks. These are the tactics I expect from Google, not Apple (pushing commerce over quality user experience).
Fix these things Apple, please.

Calendar does not sync via ActiveSync. Mail and Contacts work fine.

I recently started using ActiveSync to connect to my corporate Exchange server. Mail and contacts synchronize properly, but calendar items are not downloaded from the server. The iPhone can write to the calendar by adding a new appointment of accepting a new meeting request. I can also see the full list of calendars in my Exchange mailbox when using the iPhone. Simply put, the calendar items are the only part that's missing.
My IT team has confirmed that calendar items will sync to Windows Mobile devices using ActiveSync.
Here are the steps I've taken to solve the problem:
1. I enabled and disabled calendar using the On/Off slider.
2. I removed and reconfigured the Exchange account on the iPhone
3. I confirmed that all calendar items in Exchange had the Message Class set to "IPM.Appointment"
4. I restored the iPhone to factory settings and used a new test Exchange account to confirm that corrupted calendar items were not an issue.
5. Confirmed that the capitalization of my e-mail address in the Exchange Account Info on the iPhone matches the primary SMTP entry in the Exchange GAL.

Guys, I did a bit of research with my other iPhone/Exchange - buddies and this is what we found out:
1. Friend sends me an calendar event from his PC / Exchange Account
2. Calendar event displays as tentative on both my iPhone and on my PC / Exchange Account
3. I accept the calendar event on my PC / Exchange Account
4. Calendar event turns to "busy" on my PC / Exchange Account
5. Calendar event disappears from my iPhone
6. I double-click the event on my PC / Exchange Account and click "Accept" again
7. Calendar event reappears on my iPhone
Funny enough, this does not happen with all events - it seems to depend on the Exchange server and/or Outlook version in use. For those affected: Is your Exchange Server 2003 or 2007, and what version is the Exchange Server of the person who sent you the event in the first place?

Apps don't sync across devices after I moved to iCloud. I have 1 apple ID (from mobile me) and 1 that use for iTunes

Apps on my various iPads and iPhone used to sync automatically. Whenever I used to buy an apps, it would just automatically appear in all my devices. I'm not sure what does that, it could have been the MobileMe account, but it was working perfectly until after I moved to iCloud. Now, apps don't sync anymore. Calendars, mails and contacts do. I use 1 apple ID for I cloud and 1 for iTunes because I moved mobile me account to iCloud. Could someone please help? This is bugging me and I searched all over the Internet but can't find answer.

E-mail and Web Browser Programs

After a year of using my Blackberry Curve 8330 on the Sprint network, I think that I have uncovered most of the flaws in this machine and its software. With another year to go on my contract, I'm looking for some software advice/alternatives to help make the next year more tolerable. I find the e-mail and browser programs that come standard on this dumbphone to be just a step or two below dreadful. I'm very disappointed that Blackberry does not include better software with their phones!
When I go to a website or get an e-mail with photos either in it or attached to it, all I get are a bunch of empty boxes with some gibberish text inside them. I'd like to find a browser that will show websites the same way that they are displayed on my laptop and an e-mail program that will automatically display any .jpg or .pdf files that are in or attached to my e-mails. Can anyone suggest programs that will do these very basic things? Free or reasonably-priced programs would be great.

Do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan enabled on your account with your carrier or mobile provider?
You must, in order to get the RIM push email functions you are looking for, as well as addtional BlackBerry data services such as the internet browser, Facebook for BlackBerry, BlackBerry Messenger, and much more.
So, call your carrier and inquire about having the BlackBerry Data Plan added to your account.

IPhoto is removing my albums from mobile me and refiling photos individually. it is destroying all my work and gives me no option to stop this. Help please!

How do I stop IPHoto from systematically removing all my albums from Mobile Me and placing the photos back into its files. With each album it says it is doing this, providing an OK box but no CANCEL, and the program freezes.How can I cancel this??

You can control this from Mail Preferences on your computer. Open Mail, go to Preferences, and select Accounts.
Go to your MobileMe account and select Mailbox Behaviors. Next to Trash, select Store Deleted Messages on the Server.
