Since upgraded the firmware i cant get tomtom 6 to connect to the GPS reciever, can i change the firmware back

sorry, didn't get around to testing it yesterday, had to wait until today.
So yes, it indeed works with the Nokia LD-3W. Apparently there is some kind of difference in their bluetooth stack or whatever.
My guess would be whoever tested the firmware only used the Nokia receiver for testing?
Let's hope this problem is fixed soon. From what I heard, the firmware update might have been taken off NSU already and is no longer available, at least for most product codes - can anyone confirm this?
I really don't feel like having to sell my GPS receiver and buying an LD-3W instead - especially since I used to have a Nokia one but it got stolen.

N73 4.0723.2.0.1 - crazy bluetooth!

I upgraded my N73 two days ago to 4.0723.2.0.1 which seemed to be a great improvement.
Handset seems faster, new music player, and other changes discussed in this forum.
After a day a realized (not sure when exactly it started) that my blueetooth headset (Nokia BH-801) does not connect anymore.
When I try to connect (either from the headset or phone) it connects and immeddiately disconnects!
Tried to wipe all data with *#7370# but the problem is still there.
Anyone have the same behavior?
Any idea how to fix this?

I presume you previously used this headset with another phone. The first phone you paired it with would have become the default phone. Since you have replaced your handset, perhaps you could try clearing your headset and start pairing it from scratch again. You can clear your headset by doing the following.
If you want to clear all the settings from the headset (for example, the list of paired devices), press and hold the power key and the volume key up for 10 seconds. After the settings are cleared, the headset beeps twice, and the indicator lights alternate for several seconds.
After clearing, try pairing with N73 again. This will now make ths N73 your default phone.

the latest Nokia N73 Firmware is a TRIAL FIRMWARE by NOkia...

Becuase the v3.0713.1.0.2 firmware was released on NSU about 2 - 3 weeks ago n Nokia do not make firmware for each handset 1 month later n so on...
for example N95 it did not have firmware coming out straight away aldough N95 has too many bugs...
Also the v4.0723.2.0.1 firmware i can not download like others from my access to the site wer i have purchased the Flashing Box...normally i get all da firmware before dey added to NSU so therefore v4.0723.2.0.1 is TRIAL FIRMWARE u knw BETA from Nokia.
If dat firmware goes well dey gona change firmware for n80 n etc all into one wid all music player n so on features...

nokia have got so many complaints regarding to the N80 Firmware V 4.0707.0.7 & that was a BETA firmware so the Nokia Team would have to do less work by launching it to the public n then creating a new firmware fixing da problems.
Also I can back my theory up. for example I have a Flashing Box n access to the latest firmware before it is even released on NSU so therefore wen the N80 4.0707.0.7 firmware was released on NSU i could not get hold of it before it was added to NSU same wid this new N73 firmware...
Coz Nokia dont give Flashing Company access to BETA firmwares...so therefore they can not upload to the website for downloading,,,

If you read around a bit you could see that it was on NSU shortly and got removed... no one knows when it will be back on.

I updated the phone in the short time the v4 software was online and notice many improvements. Only now the camera seems to be acting strange, don't know if it's because of the firmware or just a coincidence.

N73 + 4.0735.3.0.2 = still bluetooth bug?

I had and (unfortunatelly) i still have problem with bluetooth communications. I upgraded the software to latest vers. (N73 not ME) thought it'll help. But ever after I did it I cant connect to i.e. LG Shine mobile via BT, nokia display an error:unable to connect. By the way - it works only in one way, it's mean that i can establish a connection with my N73 using i.e. LG but when i try connect to LG using N73 I've got an error. Any ideas? (Sorry for my english ;P )

try formating *#7370# if it still happens then reflash the firmware again, if that fails take it to a nokia repair center.

This is the best firmware from Nokia so far for N73...
Its normal firmware which contains Music Player like n91/n95
so i dont see the need of a Music Edition firmware unless the Music Edition which might have 8 band equalizers etc lol...
However this beats n91 4gb which does not support Stereo Bluetooth n now the n73 does. N91 4gb out of fashion also n73 supports 4GB mini-SD yeeeeeeeeey..

At last the Mighty Nokia just hear us. Then N73 with or without ME now is really "Music Edition". Godd job, Nokia you earn this. How about APAC edition, when I can get one? Just almost can't wait.

N73 4.0723.2.0.1 NOT GOOD AFTER ALL

At first this firmware seems good which i fink it is due to massive improvements wid music player, camera, performacnce etc but i have been using it for 4 days now n i have come across few glitches...
- No games in game folder. Wers Snake?
- Playing Gameboy Colour games phone randmoly freezes for 2 - 5 seconds every now n den.
- phone randmoly freezes for 2 - 5 seconds every now n den while browsing through music player, menu, applications etc
- Unexpected Crash (Like N91) wen using music player sometimes
- Some bluetooth devices dont work hmmm very strange...
overall good firmware wid few bugs...users post ur comments

Games isn´t a problem, you can download and install them if you like, and I think this is a good thing, the older firmware forces everyone to have Snakes (it´s impossible to remove it from flash).
I´m using the firmware for 4 days too and didn´t see any freezing or music player crashs (and I listen to music a lot, with normal pop port phone or bluetooth headset)...
I didn´t experience any problem with my bluetooth devices too, all of them works perfectly!
Maybe this is a problem with the RM-133 firmware (and maybe that´s why it´s offline now), my phone have the RM-132 firmware update.
And it´s perfect!

- How is the Camera any better than Music Edition?
- Does Music Player have any Equalizers?

Iphone 6 and tomtom bluetooth connection

On my iphone 5 before I updated to iOS 8 everything was fine, my phone was connecting to my satnav and I could use my mobile data for traffic update. Since I have the iOS8 I`m unable to connect the two device. Its connecting for couple of seconds and after its drops. Now I have the iPhone 6 and thought the problem will be solved as I heard that if I reset my phone, then it helps but not. The same thing happens. What can Ido???

You can only connect your iphone to a Mac if you're using tethering.

For issue with your Bose, refer to the manual on how to pair with an iphone.

N73 and CK-20W

After not getting a response on here regarding the best car kit for outputting stereo music from an N73 to the car head unit I decided to go ahead and buy the new CK-20W multimedia car kit anyway.
I installed the kit myself and I am happy to confirm it all works perfectly.
Just a shame the N73 does not support A2DP streaming via bluetooth and so to have good quality stereo music through my head unit the phone has to be connected via the pop-port cable.
I have TomTom installed on the N73 too and this nicely interrupts the music when announcing a direction, excellent :-)

I have N73 and I am thinking of buying CK-20W carkit+LD2 navigation pack. I read that there were some compatibility issues with N73 & CK-20W+LD2. From what I found out, the CK-20W works perfectly well with N73, until you start using LD2 for navigation. It sounds like everything works fine with your N73, despite the fact that on NOKIA Europe website, N73 is marked as not compatible wih LD2 nav pack. Does this mean that you are able to make/receive calls whilst navigating without phone hanging up, losing GPS signal etc? I would be grateful if you could confirm that you are using LD2 for navigating. Can you also tell me what firmware version you have installed on your N73?

"Nokia firmware updates" - AVOID THEM LIKE A RASH if you want to keep 3rd party hardware working with your N-Series phone!
I am totally mad at Nokia Customer Services (thats an oxy moron if ever i heard one).
I have an original Tomtom bluetooth receiver which no longer works with my legal copy of tomtom 6.10, i can pair the receiver with the phone, but tomtom reports "no gps found" or "connecting...." but never connects, and yes, it works and pairs with my pocket pc and other non-updated Nokia phones!, defiantely a firmware issue, yes thats right Nokia, YOUR FIRMWARE IS **Bleep** and so is your attitude.
I mailed Nokia Customer Care who apologise profusely for the inconvenience it has caused but they dont test their phones with 3rd party hardware, only Nokia hardware is tested for compliance....in other words, **bleep** off, we dont care!
How about some bad publicity for Nokia (that will probably result in them taking my freedom of speech by removing this post).
My next phone will not be a Nokia
Maybe someone who gives a **bleep** at Nokia might actually stand up and say "lets sort this issue" - but somehow, i just know im gonna be ignored, except by the site moderator!
Anyway, now i have had a rant, let's see what Nokia say (or not ,seeing as they ignore mails if you get remotely uppity!).

Software Update for N73??

When will there be a software update for the Nokia N73?? I cannot use my bluetooth due to the newest software!!
Very annoying since i've just bought an expensive GPS receiver which connects with bluetooth.

Pocket PC 2003 / J9 / Bluetooth

I have an iPAQ and TomTom Bluetooth GPS. (Working fine)
I want to capture the output of the GPS unit in Java outside the TomTom software.
I downloaded the J9 evaluation system and can get the Hello World application to work OK.
When I try to open com port 6 for reading I get an error. Reading the Forum suggests that this might be an unimplemented feature.
Am I using the best JVM?, the right general approach?
Does anybody have experience of J2ME and Bluetooth?

I have the same problem of installing jar file to right place.
I needed to run a hello type simple application on my pocket pc 2002 (ipaq 3870). I installed j9 on my device and also created a jar file using sun's wtk 2.2 (i use java 1.4.2). But i am unable to run this jar file on my device and get a NoClassDefFound Error. I assume that i only need to specify the classpath to that jar file and point to my application as a jar file.
for example in my file is hello.jar,
"/path/to/j9executable" "-jlc:cldcXXX" "-cp" "/path/to/jarfile" "jarfile"
The directory where my jarfile is, also has the .jad and manifest files. Am i doing things incorrectly? Would appreciate some help. The golf tracker application that came with J9 works without problems (probably bcoz i just needed to click on it:-) )
