N73 + 4.0735.3.0.2 = still bluetooth bug?

I had and (unfortunatelly) i still have problem with bluetooth communications. I upgraded the software to latest vers. (N73 not ME) thought it'll help. But ever after I did it I cant connect to i.e. LG Shine mobile via BT, nokia display an error:unable to connect. By the way - it works only in one way, it's mean that i can establish a connection with my N73 using i.e. LG but when i try connect to LG using N73 I've got an error. Any ideas? (Sorry for my english ;P )

try formating *#7370# if it still happens then reflash the firmware again, if that fails take it to a nokia repair center.

  • Bluetooth bug in OS 10.0.10.672 (software version 10.0.10.85)

    Hi there,
It appears that the latest release of the software has introduced a nasty Bluetooth bug.  Before this release my Z10 worked perfectly fine with my HandsFree Link in my 2006 Acura TL.  However, since I installed the latest OS release 10.0.10.672 (software version 10.0.10.85) I can pair with the vehicle however any call in or out causes the Bluetooth connection to be instantaneously dropped.  The device simply cannot manage a conversation.  Please note that the device itself does not disconnect (it is still paired), but it cannot service any audio between the vehicle and the Z10.  Restoring to an older release of the OS fixes this issue.
Is there any way to get this resolved at all?
    Please advise.
    Thanks!

When my wife returns with our 2008 Odyssey with HandsFree Link I'll give it a try. I know it was working before I upgraded, as well. I'll post back later this evening.

  • IOS 8.3 bluetooth bug...ugh!!!

So, Apple has done it again with iOS 8.3. I am an aircraft pilot. EVERYTHING I do is on my iPad. I just recently updated to iOS 8.3. Well, I went to take a flight yesterday, and my bluetooth GPS antenna would not connect. (yes, I have paper charts...but it's no fun trying to fly that way.) After 3 reboots, several forget device/connect to device...I got nowhere. Well, I didn't fly that day. However I managed to waste a lot of time going out to the airport, preflighting the airplane, and driving back home that day. I know this sounds like "new world problems". But aren't apple products supposed to "just work"?
Well, I got back home last night and found warnings posted all over every aviation webpage/blog/forum about this bug. It has been confirmed by several companies techies and they have ALL stated that this is an Apple error. Apple has also confirmed this.

I am now looking for solutions.... Some have downgraded their iPads back to 8.2. I really don't want to have to do this. But many people have blogged that the iOS 8.4 Beta does not fix the issue either. Thanks Apple....
I have all Apple products, and have been an ALL Apple consumer for the past 10 years. But this is unacceptable. Oh , by the way, all the pilots with Android devices are still flying without issue. I never thought I would EVER say this...  But if this issue is not fixed VERY soon, I will be shopping for a new android device. I do NOT relish this thought, but every day with the iOS 8.3 bluetooth bug, is a day that I CAN'T FLY WITH GPS!!!!
I am sure other venues besides aviation are affected by this....       Any other solutions or rumors from the community are greatly appreciated.
    Frustrated pilot.

  • Microsoft Fixes Critical Windows Bluetooth Bug in July Patch Tuesday

Microsoft has patched a critical vulnerability in Windows 7 and Windows Vista related to the Bluetooth stack in the operating system. The bug is the lone critical vulnerability fixed in today's Patch Tuesday release, and Microsoft officials said it's unlikely that it can be used for remote code execution.
The patch for MS11-053 fixes a vulnerability in the way that the Bluetooth stack operates on Windows machines. Despite the low likelihood of it being exploited, it's the most serious of the 22 vulnerabilities Microsoft fixed on Tuesday.

When you find a better explanation how to report a software bug others understand, love to hear from you. Because I am not aware of any public bug-tracker neither from Microsoft Mobile nor Microsoft, finding such a explanation is difficult on a Microsoft driven webpage.

  • N73 4.0723.2.0.1 - crazy bluetooth!

I upgraded my N73 two days ago to 4.0723.2.0.1 which seemed to be a great improvement.
Handset seems faster, new music player, and other changes discussed in this forum.
After a day a realized (not sure when exactly it started) that my blueetooth headset (Nokia BH-801) does not connect anymore.
When I try to connect (either from the headset or phone) it connects and immeddiately disconnects!
Tried to wipe all data with *#7370# but the problem is still there.
    Anyone have the same behavior?
Any idea how to fix this?
    Thanks,
    Gabriel

I presume you previously used this headset with another phone. The first phone you paired it with would have become the default phone. Since you have replaced your handset, perhaps you could try clearing your headset and start pairing it from scratch again. You can clear your headset by doing the following.
If you want to clear all the settings from the headset (for example, the list of paired devices), press and hold the power key and the volume key up for 10 seconds. After the settings are cleared, the headset beeps twice, and the indicator lights alternate for several seconds.
After clearing, try pairing with N73 again. This will now make ths N73 your default phone.

  • N73 4.0723.2.0.1 Tomtom Bluetooth

Since upgraded the firmware i cant get tomtom 6 to connect to the GPS reciever, can i change the firmware back
    Thanks

    Hi,
sorry, didn't get around to testing it yesterday, had to wait until today.
So yes, it indeed works with the Nokia LD-3W. Apparently there is some kind of difference in their bluetooth stack or whatever.
My guess would be whoever tested the firmware only used the Nokia receiver for testing?
Let's hope this problem is fixed soon. From what I heard, the firmware update might have been taken off NSU already and is no longer available, at least for most product codes - can anyone confirm this?
I really don't feel like having to sell my GPS receiver and buying an LD-3W instead - especially since I used to have a Nokia one but it got stolen.

  • BlueTooth bug with car

Since the 4.3 update there's a big bug with the bluetooth connection with the car system - it still exists after a factory reset:
I paired the phone and the car. But every time they connect, I get a message box if I want to grant access to my phone's messages. Even the "Allow always" option does not work and I get asked every time. Very annoying!!

Hello, I'm having the same issue after updating my Xperia SP to Android 4.3 (12.1.A.0.266). In my car (Mercedes Benz A-Class from 2013) there is a radio called "Audio 20 CD" built in. Every time when I want to get into my car, my smartphone wants a connection request for my messages (SMS).The option "Always Allow" does not work. The phone does not remember the next time. I tried several times a new pairing of phone and car radio and I cleared the cache of the bluetooth-share app and smart connect app, but this didn't solve the problem.  Is there a fix available? With kind regardsThorsten

  • 1.1.4 bluetooth bug

my blue tooth is not turning on! and it was connected a couple seconds ago before i updated to 1.1.4

Hi, I have a BlueAnt SuperTooth portable hands free speakerphone unit. 1.1.2 found and paired with my unit, however, it didnt not actually work. Upgrading to 1.1.4 fixed the pairing and successful operation of the link EXCEPT, when I take the iPhone out of range and bring it back into range, the iPhone says the Supertooth is still paired, but it doesnt work. To make it work, I have to unpair and re-pair. Airplane toggle doesnt work. Using 'Services' apps to switch off edge & wifi manually doesnt allow the Bluetooth to work either. The only thing that fixes the 'unpairing' problem is to unpair and re-pair. THEN IT IS A THING OF BEAUTY TO BEHOLD. A glorious menu asking me if I want to use Bluetooth, iPhone or Speaker to answer/make calls. Very nice. Now if I can find the secret to make it reconnect Successfully when I get back in range (like all my other phones managed to do without any trouble at all), I will be a very happy vegemite.

  • 3.1 Bluetooth bugs?

So i am pretty sure this is a bug. My car has bluetooth handsfree and audio streaming built in. 3.0 and 3.0.1 worked just fine - no issues.
With 3.1 - it still works, kinda. No issues streaming audio and you can still make calls. However if you are streaming audio via bluetooth, and make a call from the phone via the bluetooth handsfree - the ring doesn't sound over the bluetooth at all. It seems like the phone is just hanging and not connecting, and just when you are about to say *, the call connects. It's kind of jarring.
BUT when you are not streaming bluetooth audio - and are listening to the radio or whatever... ring sounds just fine. Additionally - when i dial through the car, ring sounds just fine. In fact - it works just fine with everything but Bluetooth audio. heck you can even swith audio source and actually here it ringing, just not when its on bluetooth audio mode.
Anyone else see this with either a headset or a car? I am thinking this is a bug because the ring sounds properly in every other bluetooth use situation.
have tried restore to new phone, re-pairing, hard restart, all to no avail. i know it worked prior to 3.1

update - tested some more and you can even change audio sources and hear it actually ringing.

  • Self assigned IP : still no bug fix ?

I have a problem for a long time with my Time Capsule. I use an ADSL modem and router (from Free French ADSL Provider) and my TC is plugged on it and set to "Bridge" mode.
I have many devices wired and wireless on the TC. But I have a big problem, sometimes (not all the time), my MacBook is getting a "169.254.x.x" IP address, a self assigned IP.
That's weird because sometimes it works well from 6 AM to 7 PM for example, then at 7 PM it doesn't work anymore. There is no reason why, because I haven't touch anything in my network.
It's pretty annoying. Is Apple aware of this problem  ? Can we hope a fix soon ? I had many problems with the WIFI on my Mac (before, it was the "wake up" WIFI problem but it seems to be fixed in the last Lion update).
I've tried everything, reset all (TC, Macbook etc.), sometimes it works a day, the other day it's not
    Thanks

7pm sounds too specific to me.. get a wifi analysing software, kismet on the mac but inssider on a pc is a better utility. Locate all the wireless around you and what channels are used. I would say you are being swamped by higher intensity wireless than the TC can produce.
Go into the wireless setup and change over to manual settings.. set to N wireless.. and set to manual channels.
In 2.4ghz try 1, 6, 11.. but pick whatever is the lowest usage from your survey of wireless usage.
Also try and use 5ghz as it has less interference. When you are bridged, the IP address is derived from the modem and not the TC so the issue can be there.. try setting dhcp to fixed for the MAC address of each wireless. and set the lease to very short.. 30min or even try 10min.
There certainly are issues with Lion networking.. exactly what is hard to figure out.. but you can also try the TC with earlier firmware.. go back to 7.5.2 which was much more reliable than later ones.
You can also try it in router mode putting the modem in bridge if the ISP supports PPPoE.. or use DMZ with the modem still doing routing. The TC will kick up a double NAT error but just select to ignore it. Sometimes it will work better in router mode.

  • ITunes 7.5 greatly improves FREEZE, still has bugs.

I updated to the new iTunes 7.5 this weekend. The biggest problem i've had and noticed that many other users had is the freezing of iTunes everytime a song reaches the 8 or 9 second mark. Well this was a big issue for me because it made it impossible to listen to my iPod on my computer at work. The new version of iTunes has greatly improved the lag. It still locks up and the resources still shoot up to 100%, but not it only lasts a few seconds. It's enough to satisfy me at least for now. I'm not aware of any other bugs that pertain to my use, and i'm still waiting for the new firmware update as well, but this is definitely a step in the right direction.
I would also like to mention that i've updated to 1.0.2 and saw a significant improvement in the iPods menu response, so i don't know why so many people are afraid of the firmware. We're getting there folks, slowly but surely.

After installing 7.5 yesterday afternoon, I thought the freezing problem was gone. Once I got home and started really working with it, I found that the freeze is still there, but down to 5 seconds or so. That's far better than the 15-20 seconds before, but still not acceptable. I suppose the rest of the fix will take a firmware update. 7.5 still hasn't fixed the slowness of moving playlists into folders. After about 10,000 of them, which can only be moved one at a time, it takes 3 or 4 seconds to move one. I've always synced my iPods manually, but because I can only sync my new iPhone via playlists, I'm having to add all my music to the iTunes library and make a playlist for every album. It's a major pain and I will never understand why iTunes doesn't allow moving more than one playlist at a time.

  • Lion bluetooth bug

Since upgrading to Lion, my macbook pro has been experiencing connectivity issues with my apple bluetooth devices (trackpad, wireless keyboard) when I transfer from one workstation to another. I plugin to an external monitor at home with an apple wireless keyboard and trackpad. Then use it stand alone at a coffee shop. Then plugin to another monitor, apple wireless keyboard and trackpad at work. At that point, the bluetooth stops reading signals and will only correct itself on restart. I wiped out all the saved devices in an attempt to resolve the problem, but the problem came back again.
This was never an issue with snow leapard. Does anyone have any ideas what could fix this problem?

No problems here with Lion and Bluetooth...
    Could be corrupted preferences.
    Go to /Library/Preferences
Move the com.apple.Bluetooth.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Trash.
    Restart your Mac.
    See if that helped...
