N73 4.0747.31.0.1 volume reduced?

Has anybody else noticed that the volume has been reduced on the music player using the original headphones/mic after applying Version 4.0747.31.0.1?
The volume on the right earpiece seems to have dropped more than the left. (It's not my hearing or the balance settings, before somebody asks; I've tried them back-to-front too.)
Also does anybody know where the list of fixes / enhancements is for this upgrade?
The official list doesn't include this version...

I am furious about this . Just bought the n73 music and man it sucks you can actually hear your own breath when volume is %100. Very disappointed from Nokia, apple proved it self much smarter with the adult volume limit. You buy a music phone and you can not use for music. I don't think I going with nokia again waisted my money. I am just furious.

The volume on my macbook pro gets randomly reduced automatically.. has anyone experienced the same issue? This is the first time it has done this, and it won't' seem to go away even after a restart. Anyone having the same problem, and if so what did you do to rectify this issue?

Itrip volume problem: volume reduces to zero when itrip attached to 3rd Gen

I've had a 3rd Gen ipod for some years and a (new style) itrip with silver selector button for about a year. Both have been working together fine until recently.
I'm based in the UK, went on a trip to the USofA recently and while there my itrip would not work. Every time i plugged it in the ipod volume would automatically reduce to zero. Thought this may be because i was using it in another country but the problem has persisted back in the UK.
Other online sources indicate it could be a problem with the itrips auto-adjustment of volume to reduce FM distortion but even with starting volume low (20% - 50%) the same reduction occurs.
Anyone else experienced this? ...any fix available?

Hah! I found the problem. It isn't with the Apple hardware or software. If I sync my iPod the problem goes away. If I restart it, the problem goes away. After talking with an Apple Expert I concluded that the problem must be with one of my third party apps and I determined to start checking them out to find the offender. Turns out a fun little game from the App Store called Parachute Panic is the culprit. It is repeatable that when I launch that app when music is playing the volume slider in the Music app goes bonkers. I'll report the bug at once.

Itunes volume reduces when visiting different web pages

I just started noticing that whenever I visit any page that has some kind of built in sound (even if it's some embedded video that's not playing) while playing music the volume for my itunes gets reduced to almost zero.
The actual volume bar in the itunes program doesn't move, but level for itunes in the windows audio mixer (I'm using windows 7) automatically gets dropped, and I have to manually increase it. It's gotten really annoying since it seems to do this almost everytime I navigate to a different page.
Does anyone know how to make this stop happening? Thanks!

You have discovered a new feature of Windows 7! To adjust it, go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound > Manage Audio Devices, and look at the "Communications" tab. (Yes I know that is a lot of clicking!) The default setting is to reduce volume 80% when something new comes in, but you can adjust it on that tab.

System volume (and therefore ringing volume) reduces when recieving an incomming call

I set all volumes to full in Lync ,as well as the system master volume. Soon as a phone call comes in I can see the volume slider move to from 100% to around 50%. This is
very werid and is happening on multiple PC's. It started when I upgraded from the Communicator client to the Lync client.
Any ideas on this weirdness??

Hi Andrew,
If you wanna get 100% volume, do as follows.
1.
Open "Volume Mixer – Speakers" and move the slider bar to 100.
2.
Make a call. And in the conversation window, click "Adjust volume or mute speakers" icon, and move the slider to 100.
Next time,
when you make a call, the volume will be 100%. Please have a try.

N73 Voice Dialing - Poor pronunciation and volume

The N73 is fantastic. However, the pronunciation of contact names is not clear English. "T's" Cell sounds like the beginning of chinese "thank you" i.e. "ts"ia tsia, rather than "tees" or "teas" cell. And, the command "General" is hardly recognizable since the r is very weak. Also, when I try to use voice dial with the Motorola IHF-1000, the sound is very, very weak ...and, mispronounced. The limited instruction in the handbook really don't cover how I can "retrain" the pronunciation. Please, any help fixing this issue would be appreciated. Cheers! David (1Sensei)

The only thing I can think to suggest is that the voice recognition adapts to your voice, so keep trying it, and try the 'next' option, if it gets it wrong.

Automated Volume Reducing

Hello friends, so I've been watching some movies lately and I noticed that the sound volume is some times very low and then suddenly it go's crazily high depending on the action that's happening in the movie, ok It could mean that the quality of the movie is high, but it's really annoying when I have to turn it down every now and then manually, especially when I have the computer plugged into a surround system, So do you guys know any type of a mod I can do for my mac or maybe a good application, Just like the option some TV's have, Thank you.

There might be apps that will do that, but I do not use them nor would I recommend any because it's a task that ought to be performed by your sound system.

W2207 volume problem?

Hi there, i was wondering if anyone could help me with a problem im having... it seems like my volume button/settings are stuck on my monitor. It flashes on and off changing the volume (reducing it always) but it is getting worse and i cant get rid of the screen which is right in the middle of my display. I tried wiggling the buttons to see if they were stuck but i dont think that is the case. Can anyone give me a suggestion on what to do?

The problem is the PC board that controls the Menu, Volume and Select buttons. I do not use these buttons so I removed the trim ring and unplugged the board. Problem solved.

I have eternal problem with N73-even when I set a volume level to 100% sound is pretty quiet, and I can't hear it on a busy street....Thought a friend of mine has 6233 and the nokia has very loud plaer'r sound...more than enough.
As far as I know N73 has powerful digital amplifaers so I guess player's sound has been software-locked. And this is S60....'multimedia' device...
Maybe SOMEONE(nokia's engineers) here has some solution and can tell something...

Regardind personal taste-that's not only my problem-a read that a thousand times in our (russian) part of inet...Mainly I heard about 2 solutions
1. Change firmware from N73 to N73ME (it gives some increasing of volume...but as far as we know there is just no diference between N73 and N73ME in sound quality ((. This is just marketing .
2 Very...hm..unusual way...start LCG JUKEBOKS on top of standart player(standart player don't play anything it just started). 2nd way gives a sound 2times louder...
So maybe some players from independent producers can pass through those software locks????

HELP- volume is suddenly limited

I recently broke the connector that attaches my shuffle to my computer. I bought a non apple replacement. Since then, the volume has been greatly reduced. I have tried resetting my shuffle, used the reset utility, verified that I don't have a limit set to my volume on the settings.....any suggestions out there. Thanks...Mike

GAHHH I JUST HAD THE SAME PROB!!! my connector broke and i bought a connector that wasn't made by apple and the volume reduced! i bought new headphones but the volume is still the same (lowered). heh i just posted another topic on this.

How to increase sound volume in symbian S60 9.1 ?

I have a problem, sound during calls on my mobile phone is low, even on MAX volume. It's ok in silent enviroment, but at street, coffee shop, bars, in some cases even when in car volume it just to low.
I have Nokia E61i and this didn't happen with my last cellphone (Nokia N73) so my conclusion is that volume can be tuned up somehow.
Is there any program to increase it or hack/patch of some kind?
I don't need to increase strength of EXTERNAL speeker, just one used for calls.

Well recived my e61i today and the volume in the earpice is a dissapointment i mean its just enough meybe on the highest setting but that brings a distorted sound also i notice the sound is shallow ... did not expect that as i remeber my e61 (not an i model) had much better sound from the earpiece ...

Low volume in headphone in iphone 4s.

I have an iPhone 4S, iOS 7.0.4 installed. The volume coming out from my earphone is significantly low comparesd to other iPhone 4S, this is creating a trouble. I'd also like to mention that, my loudspeaker is okay (checked), my earphone is okay (checked with other phon s), my iOS is running flawlessly. I restart my phone hundreds of times. I restored my OS with fresh firmware several times. My headphone port (3.5mm) is working flawlessly aside from the fact that, the volume level is approx 60% of oter same phones. I don't have a warranty.
Any kind of help, advice or suggestion will do. Thanks in advance.

I click close, coz I wont read that right now, and instantly my volume increases !!, but get this, as soon as the song is finshed and the next song plays, my volume reduces back down again. I need another sms to get my volume back up !!
So Im thinking, OK, the iphone wants to alert me with Chime - coz its a new SMS, raises its volume, but can neither sustain that volume through to my next song, nor if I unplug my beats and put em back in again.

Ipod playback volume

I use my ipod for Group Fitness classes & always play it at Max volume & then use the stereo system that I hook up to to adjust volume.
I've noticed that the playback volume is not as loud as it used to be even though my ipod is on max & so is the stereo system.
Is there a way to increase the volume on output when I playback?
I also have noticed that some songs thatI purchase from iTunes may not play as loud as others.

Has the *Volume limit* been set to less than maximum? You can tell this quickly by turning the volume on the *Now Playing* screen to maximum and if the speaker icon stays as a speaker, the answer is no, it isn't. But if the speaker icon changes to a padlock when you get to "maximum", then the *Volume Limit* _is set below maximum._
On the iPod, go into *Settings/Volume Limit.* The small up-arrow under the scroll bar is the "limit setting". Turn the scroll wheel to increase the maximum and press the centre button to set it. The bar will return to a lower level. Don't worry about that - it's supposed to, the arrow is what you need to look at. +(Do not press the play button to set the volume limit unless you are going to remember the combination that you will be asked to set as well.)+
Why/how did this happen you ask? I don't know, but as I confirmed my instructions to you (I have an iPod Touch as well, so I get confused +at my age)+ my maximum volume reduced when I came out of the menu - something I realised by turning to max on the *Now Playing* screen and seeing the padlock, which I hadn't seen before!

Whoever records conversation is low in volume

As the subject says, when I record a Skype conversation between myself and others, my audio is really low. A friend of mine experiences the same thing. His audio is low when he listens to his recording. All others are fine.
We are using the latest software versions, we are using mixers and XLR microphones, and have tried different settings in Skype (automatic setting as well as not allowing automatic control of sound levels). We have also tried increasing the gain both within windows and via our mixers. When we record in Audition all is fine, but we use mp3skyperecorder to record in Skype and this is a pain when not all callers are the same volume.
Is this just the way it is? Or is there a secret trick to allow us to control levels so that all voices on the recording are even?

E90 Earpiece Volume and the USB

Hello,
whenever my E90 is plugged in via USB to my computer and the phone rings... then when I answer the phone the earpiece volume reduces to zero so that I end up saying "hello...? hello?" like an idiot for a few seconds.
Why is this?
When I unplug the phone from the USB the volume doesn't return back to the previous level. This only happens if the phone actually rings while connected, if it doesn't then the earpiece volume remains unaffected it seems...
or is it just me?
