N73 Cannot Call Contacts

Dear Nokia Support Community
It seems that my N73 cannot make calls from within the address book. For example, I would highlight one of my contacts, and press the green button. Under normal circumstances, this should call the contact, however, nothing happens when I do so on my phone.
This symptom occurs after the following: I call a telephone number, I let it ring once, and I hang up without them picking up. Then when I try to call within contacts, the bug appears.
The bug disappears when I restart, however, it reoccurs when I do the above.
This does not seem to be an isolated case (I have read forums where other loyal Nokia users have had the same problem), is there anyone who knows anything about this? I have the latest firmware (V 3.0638.0.0.43) yet this is still occuring.
I sent it to be repaired, but all they did was give it a hard restart with a re installation of the firmware.
Nothing seems to help. Please, any advice would be greatly appreciated,

now my actual new n73 don't show anything wen the bug appears....
the bug appears wen i search a contact putting letter by letter in the Contacts aplication and press send button.... only in the second person ho i call.. and sometimes the fifth person wen i ring once and then cancel the call...
that is important!! ...why? because i make calls sometimes only for ring to a friend (because the prices of the minutes between diferent companies are more elevated)...
so...
now in this forum of "Nokia Support" nokia don't gonna answer again??
like in the Nokia Center Chile and the tecnical service (from Nokia) of my CompanyEntel PCS Chile)..

Giovanni - I can understand your frustration at this problem, but you have to remember that these forums are an END USER TO END USER SUPPORT MECHANISM and as such the only Nokia People you will see on here are the moderators who will remove offensive posts and make sure people behave nicely to each other. Nokia support staff do *NOT* visit these forums.
You've also posted a message in various other subjects to say that Nokia have deleted this message - as you can see from my response this is UNTRUE.

I have tried this on the N95 and this problem does *NOT* happen, so it does *NOT* happen on all N Series phone as another user has specified.
My initial advice to you would be to try wiping your phone totally (first format your memory card and then your phone). The phone can be wiped using the *#7370# code, but please remember this will wipe ALL information from your phone.
Once this has been done do *NOT* install any additional software on the phone. Create a test contact and carry out your test again - does the problem still occur ?
If not then the issue is due to an error with your previous phone configuration. If the problem still occurs then your next stage of diagnostics is to contact Nokia directly via the page I have supplied to you.

Only new to Blackberry and having issues with calling my contacts... I have synchonized my contacts with outlook using the desktop manager, but when I go to select a contact I want to call it says calls to this number are not available?? But, if I type the number in manually I can call and the contacts name appears. This is the same with sms. Can anyone help?

Try removing your battery while your device is on - replace it after 30 seconds. See if you are able to dial from your address book then?

When I try to make (video) call skype rings ones and then immediately stops saying "no reply".

Try removing your battery while your device is on - replace it after 30 seconds. See if you are able to dial from your address book then?

same is the problem here... i cannot call contacts on my n73 by pressing the green button nd even can't on the speaker during the conversation.......!!!!
but after restarting the phone, it works fine form a day or two, but the problem persists....
PLZ NYONE CAN SOLVE DIS PROBLEM....????

Facetime cannot call my contacts after upgrading to iOS 8

My Son
Is getting frustrated that he cannot call any of his friends on Facetime after upgrading to iOS 8.
We have reset all his settings, gone through the 11 troubleshooting steps here:

What exactly happens when you try to call someone with FT? Error message?
Have you tried when connected to another network?

Printer HP Envy 4500 Series cannot be contacted over the network

My wireless printing chooses when it wants to work, and right now it's really acting up. It is connected wirelessly, it is the default printer, but after troubleshooting it is telling me "Printer HP Envy 4500 Series cannot be contacted over the network." What can I do to get printing again?

Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having an issue with the printer not connecting with a wireless connection.
Please click on the following link that deals with when the 'Printer is offline' Message Displays on the Computer and the Printer Does Not Print: Windows 7.
Please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Please click on the following link that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.

Cannot save contacts

I updated to 1.4 and now cannot save my contacts to my primary account. I did a reset on the phone and it worked for a day then went back to giving me an error cannot save contact. Any help?

got my contacts to save on Pixi but then the phone began to have other issues. such as freezing for long periods,powering off in the middle of phone calls,vibrating once a minute when profile volume was set to off, etc.. Have you tried this.
First check that your privacy settings are set to ''Allow calls from anyone''.
Then change them to "Allow SkypeIn calls from Only people from my Contacts List".
Save and wait for 5 minutes.
Log out from your Skype account and log back in.
Change settings back to "Allow calls from Anyone".
Save and wait for 5 minutes.
Log out from your Skype account and log back in.

Cannot call a specific person on FaceTime?

I have had this problem the past few weeks. I cannot call a friend on FaceTime. It says it is connecting, but always fails. I tried creating a new contact with her info, but no luck. Calling anyone else in my contacts works perfectly. As far as I can tell it's just her.
