N73 hangs when getting incomin call

Some times my phone switches off or hangs when getting a incoming call, i formatted still the problem persists, any solution ? The same with 2 of my friends N73

yup, 3D tones have some problems with the ring tones...turning it off solved that for me...

I recommend checking your prompts and alerts to turn this feature off. This may be you "Call Connect" or "Readout" alerts. Listed below are steps to update this feature.
With the flip open, press the Voice Command Key (on the left side of the phone).The Voice Commands feature has several settings which allow you to customize how you want to use it. Access Voice Commands, then press the Right Soft Key[Settings]. Your choices are below:
-Confirm Choices--- Automatic/Always Confirm/ Never Confirm
-Sensitivity--- Control the sensitivity as More Sensitive/ Automatic/Less Sensitive
-Adapt Voice ---If the phone often asks you to repeat voice command,train the phone to recognize your voice patterns.Train Words/ Train Digits
Prompts ---Mode/ Audio Playback/Timeout

Forms 9i/ DB 10g - Form Hangs when function is called

Using 9i Web Forms on 10g Database Linux O/S
I have the following function call in a form within a loop:

When the call is executed, the form hangs after the OPEN command. I have checked the parameters for their values and successfully executed the cursor in SQL.
When I hardcode the function parameter values, the code executes successfully. Also, and perhaps most unusually, if I do either of the following before the function call, the code runs successfully:

The same code works fine Client/Server and although I have a solution, I'm not sure what the problem is! Does anyone have any clues?

Hello - your problem actually looks similar in symptoms to one I hit just a couple of days ago (see my post 'Forms hangs when using result of an OUT parameter to do an Insert ' on July 19th.)
The problem I was having was if I had a variable which already had a value, then passed into an IN OUT parameter of a db stored proc, the proc set the value to null, and then I tried to use the variable in a table insert. The form would just hang completely. Like you, one workaround for the problem was to have a line like:
my_var := NVL(my_var,NULL);
to somehow 'fix' the variable before trying to use it further. Even though the variable seems null, and returns true for IF ... IS NULL, something had gone wrong with it that rendered it toxic to my form. This workaround should have no net effect, but it does somehow solve the problem. Like your problem, mine doesn't occur on client server, only on the newer version.
I hit this problem using Forms 10g904, against a 9i database. Having talked it over with Oracle support, I've tried doing the same thing using 10g Release 2, and the problem disappears, so Oracle have obviously fixed it somewhere between the two releases - I'm currently investigating intermediate Patch Sets.
Don't know if this is helpful, but all I can suggest is that you ensure you've applied the latest patchsets to your Forms (you can try it on the Builder first before patching your apps server installation.) If that doesn't do it, I'm guessing it's a case of use the workarounds, or go up to a higher version altogether of Forms.
Sorry not to have any more optimistic advice!

Mail hang when getting email from multiple POP accounts

I'm posting this issue again.
Mail hangs while getting new mail from multiple POP accounts almost every time. When it does, only Force Quit can quit it.
The following DID NOT fix the hang:
- Reconstructing all mail boxes
- Exporting, deleting and reimporting all mail boxes
- Disabling all rules
- Deleting anti-spam history
- Deleting all emails from all mail boxes
Testing each POP account individually while putty the other two offline works fine.
I also noticed that sometimes the new mail counter in Inbox displays 2-4 new messages while there is no new ones. Switching boxes/folders and back to Inbox fixes it.
The POP accounts are:
One plain text POP
One secure POP
One GMail POP
Can anyone help?

The Junk Mail preferences cannot be “cleared”. What do you mean?
it crashes almost every single time.
It doesn’t crash (i.e. quit unexpectedly). It freezes (i.e. becomes unresponsive), right?
I transfered my data to a Mac Mini. I had the same exact problem on it too!
so it seems it has nothing to do with the OS plugins or the setup I have.
Well, that would depend on what exactly does “I transfered my data” mean...
Try first disabling all the rules in Preferences > Rules AND the junk filter in Preferences > Junk Mail. If the problem persists, proceed as follows.
Verify/repair the startup disk (not just permissions), as described here:

After having fixed all the filesystem issues, if any, and ensuring that there’s enough space available on the startup disk (a few GB, plus the space needed to make a backup copy of the Mail folder), try this:
1. Quit Mail if it’s running.
2. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Mail/. Make a backup copy of this folder, just in case something goes wrong, e.g. by dragging it to the Desktop while holding the Option (Alt) key down. This is where all your mail is locally stored.
3. Locate Envelope Index and move it to the Trash. If you see any other “Envelope Index”-named file there, delete it as well.
4. Move any “IMAP-”, “Mac-”, or “Exchange-” account folders to the Trash. Note that you can do this with IMAP-type accounts because they store mail on the server and Mail can easily re-create them. DON’T trash any “POP-” account folders, as that would cause all the mail stored there to be lost.
5. Open Mail. It will tell you that your mail needs to be “imported”. Click Continue and Mail will proceed to re-create Envelope Index — Mail says it’s “importing”, but it just re-creates the index if the mailboxes are already in Mail 2.x format.
6. As a side effect of having removed the IMAP account folders, those accounts may be in an “offline” state now. Do Mailbox > Go Online to bring them back online.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder. That is, ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder, i.e. /Users/username/Library.

C410a network setup - install software hangs when getting to installing software stage WinXP

I have a new C410A. I have connected it ONLY to my wired network (not USB or wireless). Every time I try to install the PS_AIO_07_C410_FSW_Full_Win_enu_140_222.exe software (complete or just the drivers) to Windows XP Pro 32-bit, the software starts to install, but then just goes dormant forever and never finishes the "installing" stage. I have waited 30-40 minutes. I used Process Monitor sysinternals tool and saw NO CPU usage or disk I/O once it got to "Installing software".
Once it is in this state, I cannot launch other programs. I still have control and can "close" programs, but it takes a long time.
I had closed/terminated as many programs/processes as possible before installing. I had disabled Norton AntiVirus. It doesn't matter. The same problem occurs.
When installing, I had the printer turned on and connected to the network before and during the install.
I am able to login to the printer over the network (although there were a lot of java-related errors). So I know the network and connection is good.
I just cannot get the software to install. Any ideas?

My phone vibrates when ringing but no sound comes out . When i go in to settings and choose a ring tone it plays then but not when getting a call, the silent switch on the side has also stoped vibrating when swithed on or off

My phone only vibrated when i have a call be no sound comes out .in the settings it produces sound when i choose a ring tone ! The silence button on the side would vibrate when turned on or off but this also no longer does this !

Ringer won't work when getting a call

ringer won't sound when receiving a call

First thing to check when the phone is not ringing is the mute switch. See this graphic.
If that is alright, the next thing to check is to see if Do Not Disturb is turned on. Is there a small crescent moon icon next to the battery icon? If so, then go to the Control Panel by swiping upwards from the bottom of the screen. Do Not Disturb is the next to the last icon on the top row, the one that has that crescent moon.

E71 hangs when call answered

Hi Nokians,
A moment ago, when I click "green" key to answer a call, my E71 hangs (No backgroud application is running)
E71 is a great device but as days go by, more and more issue happened (refer below).
I cannot accept a phone that hangs when answering a call. It does not improve my productivity at all. My previous Treo 680 had the same problem, that is why I switched to E61i, and now E71.
To Nokia: you better improve! Cause E71 may be my last phone from Nokia.
List of bugs
1. Active Notes does not appear when call is make to the linked contact
2. GPS not able to lock to satellite, and display current location on map (solved by changing the positioning server to supl.nokia.com)
3. I connect to the email account and retrieve emails, the application shut down and returns to the home screen.
4. I have 2 e-mail mailboxes, the 2nd mailbox disappeared when auto-retrieval is turned on, all e-mails are lost!
5. Unable to terminate/hang-up when called number is busy (partially solved if automatic redial is diabled) or when an incoming call ends.
6. When set powersaver to "None", when the screen goes to power save mode, it display a time. The time stops at that moment. And will no tick at all.
7. Automatic Retrieval > E-Mail notifications > only in home network . When I open an incoming SMS, a warning message appeared, "Messaging: Memeory Full. Close some applications and try again." . I checked my phone's memory, it has 95MB free memory. I need to disable E-mail notifications, then only I am able to open an incoming SMS.
8. The recent call list (in, out and missed) shows all icons as "mobile" despite the number is a telephone number.
9. I am not able to enable both
- Automatic retrieval > E-mail notifications
- Automatic retrieval > E-mail retrieval
E71 only allows either one of the above to be enabled
10. Sometimes, E71 will hang when answering a call.

I am also facing some of the problems you have listed.
My frined has Nokia E71 but with older FM 100..... He do not have much problems.
Nokia has to fix these problems at the earliest.

Labview hangs when accessing dll

Im accessing an active x dll using labview 8.21. When we query the dll all parallel loops in labview hang until the dll returns. Is there a way to get around this behaivour?

I do not know if this will help, but there is an issue with the Call Function Library node in LabVIEW 8.2.1 and is posted in the LabVIEW 8.2.1 Readme help here:
If you configure a Call Library Function Node to call a LabVIEW DLL, place a checkmark in the Specify path on diagram checkbox on the Function page of the Call Library Function dialog box, and select Run in UI thread in the Thread control, LabVIEW hangs when executing the Call Library Function Node. To correct this problem, select Reentrant instead of Run in UI thread in the Thread
control. If you configure the Call Library Function Node to call a DLL
written in C with these same settings, LabVIEW works correctly.

Why does facetime hang up when I get another call on call waiting?!?!?

I love facetime, buy my one complaint is, when I get another call if I am in the middle of a facetime chat, it hangs up the facetime call completely. Just to ask if I want to accept or decline the new call. That's one bug that needs to be addressed.

no, if another call comes in, it will completely hang up the facetime call, and bring you to the incoming call screen and you can accept or decline. Even if you decline it does not resume the old call. You have to call the person back.

When I am on a call in my car I can play and hear the music on my iPhone but when I hang up from the call the music reverts back to my iPhone speaker.

Crystal report hangs when calling oracle package

hi i have a oracle package that calls a proceadure, if i test this package in PLSQL developer it compiles and i get sensible results
this package has been designed using a ref type cursor to be called from crystal reports. it primary objective when the report is run, is to use File util to output data to an xml file.
when i run this from crystal reports it locks crystal reports up, and dosent output a file.
any ideas why crystal is hanging?

Hi yes the package uses fileutil to output a file,
the report user has permission over the file util output directory.
I have previously used this method to generate rpt, and other output files in parelell.

XlC compilation hangs when calling createEnvironment()

Let me first say I am posting this message for a developer as I myself don't have much C/C++ development experience. My developer states he is trying to compile using xlC compiler and the -g -pg flags. He states it hangs when it gets to the OCCI call createEnvironment(). However, he says he can successfully compile when he ONLY uses the -g flag. Does anyone know what might be causing this? He also stated that they used to use the -g and -pg flags together BEFORE they tried compiling using the OCCI calls.
