N73 has 16 million collors

n73 has 16 million plus colors not 262,144.... and capable for N-gage games.....(coming soon),,, and has 2 stereo speakers (N73 only) w/ equalizer,, loudness and stereo widening settings....... i can connect my n73 to my altec lansing speakers w/ audio adapter,,,,,, and sounds real good!!!!! and has a camera cover for protection....Im sure I will keep my n73 in case i buy new model.....

Hi nessalpha,
well the N78 has 16 million colours too (no N-Gage support yet) and two stereo speakers as well, plus it has a 3.5 mm audio output jack!
Doesn´t this sound even better?!
Look here.
I had a N73 before and now I have a N78 and I am very satisfied with it and would never trade back again. If you come across a N78 you´ll see for yourself!

  • How to write a cursor to check every row of a table which has millions of rows

    Hello every one.
I need help. please... Below is the script (sample data), You can run directly on sql server management studio.
Here we need to update PPTA_Status column in Donation table. There WILL BE 3 statuses, A1, A2 and Q.
Here we need to update PPTA_status of January month donations only. We need to write a cursor. Here as this is a sample data we have only some donations (rows), but in the real table we have millions of rows. Need to check every row.
If i run the cursor for January, cursor should take every row, row by row all the rows of January.
we have donations in don_sample table, i need to check the test_results in the result_sample table for that donations and needs to update PPTA_status COLUMN.
We need to check all the donations of January month one by one. For every donation, we need to check for the 2 previous donations. For the previous donations, we need to in the following way. check
If we want to find previous donations of a donation, first look for the donor of that donation, then we can find previous donations of that donor. Like this we need to check for 2 previous donations.
If there are 2 previous donations and if they have test results, we need to update PPTA_STATUS column of this donatioh as 'Q'.
If 2 previous donation_numbers  has  test_code column in result_sample table as (9,10,11) values, then it means those donations has result.
BWX72 donor in the sample data I gave is example of above scenario
For the donation we are checking, if it has only 1 previous donation and it has a result in result_sample table, then set this donation Status as A2, after checking the result of this donation also.
ZBW24 donor in the sample data I gave is example of above scenario
For the donation we are checking, if it has only 1 previous donation and it DO NOT have a result in result_sample table, then set this donation Status as A1. after checking the result of this donation also.
PGH56 donor in the sample data I gave is example of above scenario
like this we need to check all the donations in don_sample table, it has millions of rows per every month.
we need to join don_sample and result_sample by donation_number. And we need to check for test_code column for result.

You didn't mention the version of SQL Server.  It's important, because SQL Server 2012 makes the job much easier (and will also run much faster, by dodging a self join).  (As Kalman said, the OVER clause contributes to this answer).
Both approaches below avoid needing the cursor at all.  (There was part of your explanation I didn't understand fully, but I think these suggestions work regardless)
Here's a SQL 2012 answer, using LAG() to lookup the previous 1 and 2 donation codes by Donor:  (EDIT: I overlooked a couple things in this post: please refer to my follow-up post for the final/fixed answer.  I'm leaving this post with my overlooked
    items, for posterity).
    With Results_Interim as
    Select *
    , count('x') over(partition by donor_number) as Ct_Donations
    , Lag(test_code, 1) over(partition by donor_number order by donation_date ) as PrevDon1
    , Lag(test_code, 2) over(partition by donor_number order by donation_date ) as PrevDon2
    from RESULT_SAMPLE
    Select *
    , case when PrevDon1 in (9, 10, 11) and PrevDon2 in (9, 10, 11) then 'Q'
    when PrevDon1 in (9, 10, 11) then 'A2'
when PrevDon1 is not null then 'A1'
    End as NEWSTATUS
    from Results_Interim
    Where Test_result_Date >= '2014-01' and Test_result_Date < '2014-02'
    Order by Donor_Number, donation_date
And a SQL 2005 or greater version, not using SQL 2012 new features
    With Results_Temp as
    Select *
    , count('x') over(partition by donor_number) as Ct_Donations
    , Row_Number() over(partition by donor_number order by donation_date ) as RN_Donor

  • How to update a table that has  Million Records

    Hi,
Lets consider the basic EMP table and lets assume that it has around 20 Million Records . we need to have an update statement.Normal UPdate statement may hang the system or it may take a lot of time.
The basic or Normal update statement goes like this and hope it may not work.
update emp set hiredate = sysdate where comm is null and hiredate is null;Basic statement may not work. sugestions Needed.

I heard Bulk collect will resolve these type of issues and i am really poor at Bulk Collect concepts.Exactly what type of issue are you concerned with? The business requirements here are pretty important-- what problem is the UPDATE causing, specifically, that you are trying to work around.
so looking for a solution to the problem using Bulk Collect .Without knowing the problem, it's very tough to suggest a solution. If you process data in batches using BULK COLLECT, your UPDATE statement will take longer to run and will consume more resources on the database. If the problem you are trying to solve is that your UPDATE is not fast enough, this is a poor approach.
On the other hand, if you process data in batches, and do interim commits, you can probably hold locks on individual rows for a shorter amount of time. That would only be a concern, though, if you have some other process that is trying to update the same rows that you are updating at the same time that you're updating them, which is pretty rare. And breaking your update into multiple transactions introduces a whole bunch of complexity. You now have to write a bunch of code to ensure that your process is restartable should the update fail mid-way through leaving some number of updates committed and some number rolled back. You have to have a very detailed understanding of the data and data consistency to ensure that breaking up the transaction isn't going to negatively impact any process, report, etc. To do it correctly is a pile of work and then it's something that is constantly at risk of creating problems in the future when requirements change.
In the vast majority of cases, you're better off issuing a simple SQL statement during a time when the system isn't particularly busy.

  • Download! on N73 has transfer interrupt error

When I select the Download! icon on my n73 and try to download or install anything, a transfer interrupt error appears with a 403 content error message. Anyone help with this please?

    Hi Bryan,
Thank you for posting on the Adobe forums, this error occurs when the installer cannot locate the Data1.cab file on your system or the required files with in the Dat1.cab is missing.
The only resolution to it is to download again, also, Acrobat 9 is not tested and developed for Win 8.
    Thanks,

    Hi
I need farsi language in my N73 now i have arabic but I have some problem with it does any product code of N73 has Farsi language??
    Thanks too much...
    ITS EMMERGENCY TO ME
God give me the success to help others

Take your N73 to your nearest Nokia Care Point and ask if there is a Farsi language pack. If there is, the NCP should be able to install it for you.

  • Need suggestion: few records to be updated in millions

    Hi All,
I need your expert comments over below senerio:
Senerio: i have a table which has 2 column. Person_Id and Country_id. it has millions of records.
    1) One persion_id may have multiple country_id but maximum 4.
    2) this data is get updated. But around 4000 records are updated only out of millions present in table.
This updation will be done by a procedure which i will create. We will have information about those 4000 records which will need update and will update above table.
Now from performance point of view.. how we should design this table?
    1) Should i create partition on this table? if yes.. what type of?
    2) Should there be any index..
Please suggest, if there is any other better way.
    Thanks alot in advance.

yes.. records will be indentified by persion_id.
but since persion_id is not unique, will not oracle go for full scan even if there is an index.
thats why we thinking of partition.
Did you actually read what I wrote?
    The important bit was
"Oracle will choose the best path to access the rows."
So, create the index, gather statistics and find out yourself!

  • N73 Bug List (long)

    N73 2.0628.0.1
This model/firmware seems to be a really buggy release. There's a lot of problems people are experiencing with it.
The moderators of this forum claim that Nokia staff do read and take into considaration problems reported here, although they never reply or confirm any issues and they refuse to provide any kind of publicly available bug reporting system.
So, maybe if we collect our problems in a single thread it might be easier for Nokia to notice and hopefully correct at least some of them.
So, here are mine. Some bugs and suggestions below.
    BUGS
    1. [SEVERE] Once I was saving a contact data from a message received by IRDA to Contancts when the phone died completely (with the display on). I had to remove the battery.
    2. [SEVERE] During a call I turned on the recorder. After some time of recording the phone rebooted with no apparent reason.
    3. [SEVERE] N73 has problems with theme installation. When you install too many themes (don't know what is "too many" though; in my case it was 25 but others had problems after installing just a few) they tend to disappear: some from the Themes list and even more from Application Manager. So I have the themes installed and: some of them appear in Themes but don't appear in Application Manager so they cannot be uninstalled; others don't appear anywhere; others appear in both places.
    4. [MINOR] The help text for Themes states that you should press "C" to remove a theme. This is not true. The only way to remove a theme is to uninstall it from Application Manager (and I'm unable to do that due to #3).
    5. [MINOR] Barcode Reader. It's not available anywhere in the menus but when I try to install it I get "This component is built-in" error.
    6. [MINOR] Gallery. Create an album, add a photo to it. Go to Gallery, Options/Albums/View Albums. Highlight the album and select Options/Slide Show/Start. The application crashes. From time to time it also reboots the device.
    7. [MINOR] Gallery. Often when I view a 3 megapixel photo and try to zoom it, I get "not enough memory" error.
    8. Cable connection in USB Mass Storage mode seems to be implemented in a non-standard way. (Or, maybe it is a card formatting/partitioning issue?) Tried it on Linux, and could only see the card as a device (/dev/sdb in my case) but no partition on it (i.e. no /dev/sdb1). I understand that this is not important to Nokia as Linux users are in minority but why can't you do it in a standard way? Practically all USB Mass Storage devices (USB disks, cameras, memory card readers, flash memory sticks) work without problems, but N73 doesn't.
    SUGGESTIONS / WISHLIST
    1. Nokia, please, some more testing before bringing your products to the market! I've been using my N73 for two weaks maybe and encoutered several serious bugs. How is it possible that your qualified testing team which you surely have wasn't able to find them?
    2. Support. There is a lot of complaints about quality of Nokia customer support. I don't have my own experience with it yet so I'm not complaining but why you cannot at least provide an e-mail address? It's always: go to http://europe.nokia.com/A4144989, but then I need to select my country, browse through 5 or so web pages and then all I get is a *tiny* text box telling me "Ask your question". And I need to select my phone model from the list but guess what? it is not even listed there!
    3. More RAM! It is way too small in n73. Just after booting I have about 20 megs and then it's getting lower. A single application like Gallery can easily take 5 - 7 MB and it doesn't seem to return all of it to the system when closed.
    4. Could you please consider providing an easier way of upgrading the firmware? Due to the number of bugs in your software I really need to do the upgrade. But the nearest Nokia service center is about 100 kilometers away. I'd like to do it myself but without a need for third party software (I mean MS Windows).
    5. Available firmware version. It is not displayed on the update page. Some posts in this forum say there is 3.0628.something available. But tried on the software update availability page, entered my phone's code (0541421) and got "Sorry! No software update available for this product code. Try again soon.".
Why isn't it available for my N73??
Phew! Anybody something to add here?

Hey I am in Australia and bought Nokia N73 yesterday and I can't connect it to PC. I am running Windows XP with SP2. Windows reports "One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognise it.For assistance in solving this problem, click this message."
Well clicking on the message pops the device driver troubleshooting dialog which recommends "try reconnecting and if still doesn't work replace the device"
    Any help please?

  • FLASH PROBLEM IN N73

    hello guyz.howz the day?
well i have a serious problem with my N73, when i record any video my flash comes on. and i tried every thing to turn it off but nothing happened. and it surely consuming my battery life too.
plzzz can any one let me know how to turn off flash in video mode
    Regards
    Boby..!

It isn't so much about the .swf file size, but what it contains.
The N73 has a buil-in Flash Lite version 1.1 player, and it can only run Flash Lite v1.1 files.
It cannot run .swf files made for PC's (for the "full" Flash version you find there). It also cannot play Flash-Lite v2.0 or v2.1 .swf files.
(Flash Lite, I've read stated, corresponds roughly to Flash v4 on PC's, where the full version is now at something like v9 already.)

  • N73, N76 or N95 - Which is better suggestion

My usage will be mainly Music and Messaging and few calls.
So i will be looking on for better battery performance. Currently having 6300 which drains in 3/4th of the day.
How can i check which battery will have better backup on wat basis can we decide.
    thanks in advance.

These three devices share little in common. Depends on what you want to use it for.
The N73 has better battery life.
The N95 has a lot of features no other model has.
The N76 is slim and pretty, but otherwise a very basic smartphone.
640K Should be enough for everybody

    Hi there!
I have eternal problem with N73-even when I set a volume level to 100% sound is pretty quiet, and I can't hear it on a busy street....Thought a friend of mine has 6233 and the nokia has very loud plaer'r sound...more than enough.
As far as I know N73 has powerful digital amplifaers so I guess player's sound has been software-locked. And this is S60....'multimedia' device...
Maybe SOMEONE(nokia's engineers) here has some solution and can tell something...
I just don't want to change my phone to SE or SAMSUNG, Eten and so on...Message Edited by noxit on 30-Jul-2007 08:26 AM

    Heh))Realy?
    I was talking about firmware V.30704.1.0.1 / 19-01-07/ RM-133
and this vol level is just killing me((
Regardind personal taste-that's not only my problem-a read that a thousand times in our (russian) part of inet...Mainly I heard about 2 solutions
    1. Change firmware from N73 to N73ME (it gives some increasing of volume...but as far as we know there is just no diference between N73 and N73ME in sound quality ((. This is just marketing .
2 Very...hm..unusual way...start LCG JUKEBOKS on top of standart player(standart player don't play anything it just started). 2nd way gives a sound 2times louder...
So maybe some players from independent producers can pass through those software locks????

  • N73 - annoyed to hell with nokia

well n73 had it 4 less than 24 hours from orange replacment for my totally unreliable 6680 total of 16 handsets in 12 months
nice lookin handset good features but
turn the thing on and it instantly connects to wap (packet data ended using the red key ) (costing me money) not impressed, turn it off on battery out a full reset and it still does it, rang orange tech support 45 mins on hold to be told oh were not sure we will try to resolve the problem and ring you when we have a fix, totally not acceptable, put sim card back in 6680 and that goes bottoms up as well!! now forced to use a brick as a phone the 6680 is under 2 weeks old and is dead the n73 has problems but thank god for the old trusty 702 still alive and kicking
any one got or know of a fix for my N73???? as TBH im rather annopyed with my nokia build quality and software problems dont seem to be sorted, is it me or is the product totally rushed not product tested thoroughly????? since the introduction of the new "smartphones" ive had nothing but problems!!!!!!!!!!

You can thank Orange for this 'feature', many Orange variant Nokia handsets e.g. N70, N80 etc. are blighted by automatically connecting to data services and costing the owner money.

  • N73 sms tone stopped working

once again the sms tone on my N73 has stopped working AGAIN. My phone does not inform me at all that I have a new sms. Inorder to check I have to go into the messages section of the menu to check. Here is what I have tried
    - Soft reset (settings->restore factory defaults)
    - Firmware upgrade (i have the latest version now)
    - Hard resets (using some code I found)
    - Changing profile settings with different tones
    - Changing profiles all together
With the exception of the firmware upgrade all of the above have been tried several times.
Any more suggestions. I am sick of this phone and I am about to throw it away. How is this so hard to fixed

Since you have did, that would normally solve the software issue if there is. It is highly provable that you got an intermittent hardware issue, a visit to Nokia Care Center would be a good idea.
Knowledge not shared is knowledge wasted!
If you find it helpfull, it's not hard to click the STAR..

  • Sequence / interval mode in Noia N73 and N95.

The camera in my Nokia N73 has a sequence mode where it takes 6 pictures in a sequence.
I read that Nokia N95 has a similar mode where you could set time between pictures and number of pictures that should be taken.
Is there any software I can load into my Nokia N73 that gives me the same functionality as in the Nokia N95?
I want have a sequence/interval mode where I can set time between pictures and number of pictures.

    I'm afraid thats not possible...
Also,n73 Sequence mode is useless...It never works!
I've tried 4~5 firmwares! but it never works!
Just takes random shots and shuts down!
Its given me anywhere from 2~9 shots...very Frustrating!

  • What is mobile TV in N73 music edition

i want more info about this....

Most likely just Internet based (needs a data connection) video streaming and/or download service.
Definitely not actual TV broadcast reception directly by the phone, because the N73 has no TV reception hardware (analog or digital).
If it is a network operator specific service, you might want to tell whose network your are on, and in which country, and more about what kind of "mobile TV" software you see on your phone.
