N73 Memory Type

Hi People
Got a bit confused here. My book with the phone says MiniSD card only for this phone. But when looking at the accessories on here it seems to indicate that a MicroSD will also do. The shop says MicroSD wont work!
Simple, can i use both types of memory in this phone or MiniSD only. I see some issues with size recognition in the threads on here so ill stick with one gig probably
Thanks in advance.
Greig

Dude, my N91 has 4 GB HDD.No expansion.Although the accesories part says it suppports mmc.
Great y will stick to one GB.
Me too think miniSD and micro sds have some differences and micro sd wont work on yr N73.

    Hi,
Since new Xorg update, I can see the folowing message at /var/log/messages.log:

I don't know if it is relative but, from time to time, the screen and keyboard freezes and need to reboot. Another times, if I click, for example, over a xfce-terminal icon on panel (or whatever application), it opens two or three terminal windows instead of only one.
    Thanks in advance.

Afaik that is cause by PAT being enabled, append nopat to your kernel startup string

  • Not sure about memory type

Hi All - I have a Mac mini G4 1.5 Ghz processor. Currently have 512mb DDR SDRAM and would like to upgrade to 1GB. I went to the Crucial web site and they indicated a DDR PC2700 chip. When checking the memory type currently in my mac (512) it says it is a Type:DDR SDRAM Speed:PC3200U-30330. It sounds to me that the PC2700 is NOT a match to the PC3200U-30330?? - I'm not sure if I'm inerpreting it correctly. I've noticed in my searches that there doesn;t seem to be much info on the 1.5ghz machine. I'd just like some verification on the chip before I order. Any thoughts?

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
PC2700 RAM is the correct type for all the G4 minis, including your 1.5 model. However, many minis were sold with PC3200 memory, which is also compatible, though the faster RAM doesn't improve system performance in any way since it's clocked back to match the system's bus speed - which is designed for the PC2700 spec.
    Thus you can use either.

  • 4200 PRO memory type?

    Hi.
I've just got hold of a 2nd hand sat 4200 pro laptop which still has the standard 64mb memory in it. I want to upgrade this but I am not sure what memory type it has. I've seen some 256MB PC133 SO-DIMM LAPTOP MEMORY for sale near me but I think the laptop may be PC100. Can I still get the PC133 and fit it or will it not work? I know I may not get full performance out of the ram but I'm not bothered about that s'long as it works.
    Thanks for your time.
    JB.

Thanks for that, but it was more on the memory speed I am concerned. I want to buy 128mb for the laptop but I can only get PC133 near me. Can I fit PC133 in this machine?
Also, are all laptop memory sticks the same? Apart from DDR and SDRAM of course. I mean, can I fit any SDRAM laptop chips?

  • N73 memory card

My N73 is the Hong Kong IE version and I bought it in January. The problem is that the memory card just randomly removes itself during normal usage, once i even noticed that everytime I press the '3' key it just removes itself. Is anyone else experiancing this? Also when you select 'remove memory card' in the options menu, is the card information i.e space left, card size etc suppose to dissappear? Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't on mine.Since then I have had to replace the motherboard 3 times and also the memory card. What is the problem? Maybe the wires connecting the motherboard to the keyboard are damaged?

  • Which of these 4 memory types for my rig

I swear, the more forums I read the more confused I am. I want to achieve 2.9-3.0 GHz as INEXPENSIVELY as possible I am planning on building with these specs:
    MSI 975x v.2
C2D E6400 Conroe now (Until the Kentsfield quad comes down)
    Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
    Ultra Xfinity 500
Radeon X850xt (untill DX10 cards get cheap)
Hitachi 80 GB SATA II & Maxtor 300GB SATA I
    Memory ?????? 2 GB xms2
    6400c5 5-5-5-12 T1 $202 (should that 12 be 15?)
    6400c4 4-4-4-12 $229
    6400c4d 4-4-4-12 $244
    6400pro 5-5-5-12 $255
these prices are with a $40 rebate and 20 dollar paypal promotion, so I have to buy the memory by the 5th.
the rumors about the Promos ICs scared the crap outa me since I don't know a whole lot.
This will be my first OC build. All I do is game.
    That took forever to type!
    Thanks!

I just had to return a twin pair of Corsair 1GB 800 C4Ds / regrettably as I did it before I started reading about how to tweak the memory and the 975X PUE MB.  The D stands for Dominator which affords a higher cooling potential.
I would be interested in knowing your success.
I have to decide which of them to reinstall in the next few days.
    Thanks  Keith

  • New Mac Mini Lion Server (mid 2011) and memory type

    Hi,
I found an unclear advice about memory upgrade.
    The manuals says
"Memory modules for your Mac mini must meet the following specifications:
-Small Outline Dual Inline Memory Module (SO-DIMM) format
    -1333 MHz, PC3-10600E, DDR3 compliant (also called DDR3 1333)
    -Unbuffered and unregistered"
I opened the box and found inside a Samsung chip labelled "... PC3-10600S-11-B2"
Is the PC3-10600E type the same as PC3-10600S?

    Now resolved.......  No further comment

Yesterday it was gone, now the problem is back and it's not going away. I can't get into LifeBlog, it automatically closes because of the memory full error. I tried resetting the phone but it's still there.
How are you resetting your phone ?
I would advise you to use one of the two methods you can find in this post :
    /discussions/board/message?board.id=smartphones&message.id=4007
However please be aware that doing so will wipe ALL the data from your phone such as information in your calendar, contacts and so on.
In order to save your data you can use the PC Suite application to save and restore the data from your phone - this software can be found here :
    http://www.nokia.com/pcsuite
One thing to note is that as part of these diagnostics, you should NOT restore any backup or install any software on the phone as you could be putting the problem back onto the phone.
If this doesn't work then it's likely you have a hardware fault and you should approach your local Nokia Service Centre to get your phone fixed.
    Hope this helps.
Please let me know how you get on.
    Regards,
    Edward

  • N73 Memory Problems

Has anyone had any issues with the memory on the N73? I have deleted all the data on my phone, and backed it up on to my PC, I have saved everything to my memory card. My memory card is only 1/4 full and my phone memory is empty, yet my phone is still telling me that there is no memory & I need to delete data.
It now wont even let me recieve text messages because it says there is no memory! There is nothing left for me to delete!!
I have restored the phone to factory settings too.
    HELP!!!!

I had the same problem before but I was able to solve it...It is about Lifeblog. I dont have problem regarding the phone memory anymore. You will need 2 apps to install in your phone. (1)"JBak Taskman v.99" and (2)"Xplore". You can download these apps from mosh.nokia.com. Just follow the instructions in the link below. You can completely disable LifeBlog w/ this link:

  • Nokia N73 Memory Error

    Hey.
I got a Nokia N73 Music Edidtion and now i get a message saying that the phone memory is full, but i dont have ANYTHING on it, only some contacts.
any idea on how to fix it??

It is not meant for storage memory. It is RAM. It happens when you or your phone leave some applications open. They take up space of your valuable RAM. You will have to find some application manager programs such as; Tracker, Task Manager to properly have a look in your phone memory (RAM). Then you can decide to close or kill those. Task manager built in to Symbian is a joke.
The most RAM hogging program on you phone is your internet browser that come with Symbian.
