N73 Music Edition - Cannot install Application

Hi Everyone,
I have recently upgraded the firmware of my N73 (by taking the phone to an authorized service center). Since that time, I am unable to install any new application (like google mail and others) on my device. Can someone help me understand what is wrong?
My phone has a 2GB memory card.

Yes, I have done that... the funny thing is, some applications (such as Norton Antivirus, Nokia Maps, Google Maps) installed properly. But when I am trying to install the GMAIL application from m.google.com/mail, it downloads the entire app and then says "Unable to Install!". Same case with some other applications too...
Please help!

    I am having problem with my N73 Music Edition phone. It freezes frequently. Need to remove the battery to restart again.
    I have updated the firmware a month back but this problem remains. If we use keys quickly the freezing occurs very often.

    if you have the latest firmware installed and it's freezing up, then your only other option is taking it to a nokia care center. they may be able to resolve the problem or replace your mobile. whatever is the best solution.

    When you access the gallery, for example, or applications in S60 phones, you are not seeing the folder you are seeing all relavent media files on the phone, no matter where they are stored.
    "Images and videos" shows all image and video files on the phone memory and memory card. You only see the actual folders if you use File Manager.

    As far as i'm aware it purely a cosmetic change (i.e. the Black Facia) and that it has a different music application, comes with better headphones & memory card for music. (I think). I have seen them both and thats all i could see different).

  • Cannot install applications because the certificate for .... is not valid

    Hello,
    We have an in house enterprise app that can no longer update.  We have taken the steps outlined here.  These steps include installing a SSL certificate on the server from a trusted CA (GeoTrust) that shows as valid in Safari on OSX.  Also the http to https redirect has been setup and verified in Safari and FireFox.  Addtionally, the plist file's XML has been manually updated to point HTTPS.  New installs work on iOS 7.1 without an issue. 
    However, the program has automatic updates that fail with the message "Cannot install applications because the certificate for .... is not valid".
    The update process works like this:
    A Plist file exists on the server that contains the version number of the build on the server.   The app will download the file and parse it into a NSDictionary then the verison into an NSString.  If the version doesn't match the current version then the user is prompted to install updates.
    When the user says yes to the prompt a UIApplication is sent the Open URL message with a hard coded download URL that looks like this:
    imts-services//?action=download-manifest&url=http://www.example.com/app/Release.plist
    On iOS 7.1 the user will receive the message "Cannot install applications because the certificate for example is not valid".   This error occurs even thought the certificate is valid.  It almost looks like the URL isn't respecing the redirect from the server.
    Has anyone else seen this?  Is there a work around for it?  Or do I have to redeploy the app (with an HTTPS in the hard coded URL)?

    kkoishi, cskimble, OS 7.1 update forced all software installation services to use the HTTPS protocol instead of HTTP.   • N73 Music Edition A2DP Problem Inspite of FW: v4.0...

    I am using a Motorola "Snoop" S9 A2DP headset with m N73 with the latest FW :v4.0736.3.2.1 (04/09/07). The Problem I face is that whenever I listen to music when I am on the move (on my Motorcycle or Walking)the music Skips as if the Bluetooth connection is lost or being interrupted although the status lights on the headset as well as the status indicator on the Phones Screen both show that both the Headset and the Handset are connected. First i thought that the problem lies with the Headset so I tried a Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970 A2DP headset but the same problem cropped up with the same as well. So now i zeroed upon my handset so i re- Flashed it using Nokia's Software Updater, Still no resolution, So i thought this might be a hardware problem So i tried Using the Motorola Headset with a Different Handset ( My Friend's N73 music Edition with the same FW).
    In Fact both the Headsets(Motorola S9 and the Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970) work fine with an N95. I wonder if this is a design or Incompatibility flaw with the N73 Handset itself.
    Experts Please provide your valuable inputs and help me resolve this Problem.

  • Problems with Camera on Nokia n73 music edition

    I have a nokia n73 music edition and this is the issue
    When I slide down bac cover to open camera sometimes the I don't get image from back camera at all but only from front.
    Another this is that today I opened the camera and with the shouter I couldn't take pictures.
    I pressed it but nothing occured.
    I tried to update the software but no luck because it says that phone has newer software.
    I also when I go to the Camera through the main menu then it shows the video of front camera

    Format your memory card and try again. Remember to backup all your stuff in the memory card before formatting.
    If you still have problems, then try these options one by one:
    1. Turn off your phone and leave your battery out for 5-10min. Then, put them back in and turn on the phone.
    2. Restore factory settings: type *#7780# at the standby screen. Enter 12345 for the security code or the one you've changed it to.
    Before you try the next two steps, backup your phone memory using PC Suite.
    3. Soft reset: type *#7370#. Enter the security code when prompted
    4. Hard reset (Last resort, nothing else works): Turn off your phone, press and hold down these keys: 3, * and the call (Green) button. Turn on your phone without releasing them. Leave the keys only after you see the Nokia logo on the screen.
    If none of these work, then take it to the nearest Nokia Care Point.

  • How to determine N73 Music Edition is genuine?

    Hi recently i have bought a N73 Music Edition, Its pretty sweet. But i have read informations about how you can update an N73 phone to a Music Edition and then just change to the black cover. I was wandering if there is anyway for me to determine if my phone is truely a Music Edition N73. Thanks alot.

    Control click on the column header name. Add the column type "Kind". Then you can sort on that column.

  • N73 Music Edition Not Swiching on

    I bought nokia n73 music edition july 2008.
    It suddenly switched off. And when I swtch on it showing nokia screen and it blinks 2 times and switching off.
    It is never switching on at all. When I try Switching it on screen will blinks twice and screen will blank.
    Last month I got same problem(I have warrenty). It got repaired at nokia care center.
    Now I dont have warrenty.
    What is the problem?
