N73 music player faults in new firmware

3 days ago i upgraded new firmware (3.0638.0.0.1). yesterday I transferred some AAC songs from data cable. whenever i tried to update music library it crashes. then i removed my kingston 2gb minisd and did the same thing but this time it works fine. with previous firmware i didnt have this kinda problem. any suggestions?..

i am having exactly the same problem and cant seem to find a work around for it. surely there must be a way for it to work?

It is also occurs in mine, after added hundreds song it will make the music player and the phone itself going to hang.so i prefer to add the songs manually to the playlist.the playlist can be found under folder e:\playlist\ and the format is commonly used .m3u.if you dont want to make your phone freezing, add only few songs once in time and refresh the playlist, and so on.

    Happy New year all..
Please let me know how to stop The Music Player autoexecuting after the N73's boot..?? It is not Music Edition..

well, either you can use the inside methodolgy:
music player > any song > options > album art > change > then exit
or you task manager and in the startup options disable the mplayer command.

  • 5530 music player not recognizing new songs

    hi all,
new problem for me. the nokia music player is not recognizing new music. it just files them under unknown. the files are properly tagged. the only way to get it to recognize the files is to format the sd card and put the music back on the card.
also after deleting music, the player still has the files in its unknown folder, even after updating the music library.
very frustrating as i use the phone everyday as my main music player. this problem has only turned up in the past couple of weeks, with me changing nothing else on the phone.
    any advise?

Hi, just try up this found somewhere-
You can do this to rebuild the library as it is corrupted.
    Restart your device and then refresh your library. If this doesn't help then;
Connect the phone to your pc/lappy and put in 'Data transfer' mode.
    To delete the library files:
    - Ensure you can see hidden files in Windows Explorer:
Windows Explorer .. Tools .. Folder Options .. View
Select "Show hidden files and folders"
    - Connect the phone to your PC using the USB cable in "Data transfer" mode
    - Find and rename (or delete if you're really brave) files with names like:
    E:\private\101FFC31\mpxv1.mpd
    E:\private\101FFC31\pcv5.mpd
    E:\private\101ffca9\harvesterdb.dat
(assuming the phone's mass memory / card has been connected as E)
Note that the folder names may be different and the files may have prefixes - eg: mpxv1.mpd could be called abcmpxv1.mpd.  Basically, you need to search under the Private folder for any files that look similar.
Now just refresh the Music Player library and the job is done.
This will take longer than normal as it's a complete refresh, but it should now work.
Please thank me by giving 'KUDOS' star. It will help me to serve you better.
Currently using N82 and 5230. Next would be N?

  • N97 Music Player Fault

I installed all the updates through USB from my laptop and for 2 days afterwards my music player was working fine on the phone, then my music has vanished from my library on the phone, but I can still use any of them as ring tones through the ringtones settings part. However in my llibrary mode it is showing as nearly 5 hours of music at the top of the screen but the middle display says no files, I have connected my phone yesterday to my computer and asked it to add more songs which the computer said was successful, So I then refreshed the library after disconnecting my phone and there is no change to the library, but everything else on my phone works fine.
    What do I do?

    Try This

  • Nokia N73 music player tracks change

Hi, how can I change the tracks when I`m using my headset (HS-23). I can only change the volume of the music...

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

it seems you cannot change the track by using HS-23 since the button only for changing the volume. i think you can only change the track by entering the music player,or maybe if there is an available app to calibrate key or make a shortcut key, you can use it,but not from the headset, but from keypad.
Anyway, why dont u use another headset adapter that able to do so, like Nokia Headset AD-41, it has volume change,play/plause,and next/previous track button, while it also has 3.5 mm connector, so you can combine it with standard 3.5 mm headphone

  • Music player stuttering?

Is anyone owning a N96 with firmware 30.x experiencing stuttering when the music player begins a new track?
Basiclly in the first 5 seconds of playback some little pauses occur, may be one or two. Only in the first 5 seconds.
I strongly suspect the music player software updating the "most recent" played tracks playlist.
    Can someone confirm?

CPU usage is clearly hitting 100% when the "stuttering" happens.
The stuttering only seems to happen when Ovi Maps is "on top" and navigating to somewhere, although the CPU spikes to 100% at other times.
    I have found a couple of things help/cure this;
    - turning off the screen (not a good solution as I find Ovi Maps gives verbal directions too late)
    - changing the display from the map to the simple graphic showing the next direction
Any suggestions as to how I might cure this properly, so that I can run the two applications together?

  • PS4 Media/Music player song order Alphabetical only?

Is there any way (besides going back and creating individual playlists for every single album) to get the PS4 USB music player or the new Media player to play musc files in album track order rather than alphabetical order? Virtually every MP3 player I've ever used on other consoles, PCs, and hand-held/moblie devices can do this. Album track order has been standardized since the beginning of MP3 technology. Am I missing something?

PS3 never got Sorting Via Meta data either...IF you copied a file from USB the meta data is not even read only the file names are... You had to get a NAS / media server to copy the meta data with the File ... So don't expect any rush... those Who had A PS3 will off course still be ripping music with the TRACK number in the File name... Meta data on Applications will be displayed so no Track name will show on PC but the Raw files are still numbered in order...   Theres a reason why Amazon still sell digital album music with the Track number at the front of thefile name still...

  • New n97 v2 firmware and music player /firmware v2

just wasted five hours manually updating album art on the n97 for albums thats artwork wasnt recognised using the album art/change function then as usual after being connected in mass storage mode refreshed the music library and it removed all the found artwork and some alterations to file names thanks a lot nokia for the five hours wasted tempted to send you an invoice for my time !!
the only way round this ive found is to use nokia music to add files then theres no need to refresh the library
but this is a pain as i already have most of my music in itunes and album player and when youre dealing with importing 3000+ tracks is terminally slow never mind having to optimise the artwork for the phone
other than that apart from that am overall v pleased with the new firmware kinetic scrolling more mb on c drive
and seems more stable having said that last night the phone was very nearly being repackaged and being sent back to nokia

I use Mediamonkey to ID-3 tag all my music. This is what the media player uses to identify music titles and album art.
With Mediamonkey, you simply drop and album into it, select search and it finds your album or you have the option of a manual search. Select save to Tag and It saves the album cover to the ID-3 tag and adds all relivant information such as
    Album name
    Album Artist
    Year
    Song titles
    Ttrack listings
    Record label
I have used this software with my current N97 and previously on my N95 and other Sony Ericsson phones. I have over 16Gb of music currently on my N97 and all of it is tagged with the correct album art.
Give it a go. This will solve your problem.

  • N80 - Music Player does not see new tracks in musi...

I updated my N80 with the latest firmware last week. I recently added fur new tracks to my phone. I can see the track in the gallery under tracks but when I go to the music player, and into the music library the tracks are not there, even if i say update music library it tells me 0 tracks updated/added. Please help.

To the guys who posted earlier... have you found the solution for this problem?
My N80 has been updating fine until two days ago when i uploaded new songs... the tracks get in but the music library doesn't update these new tracks in, it would register 0 added tracks then after the update it would say that there are no tracks in at all... you need to get out of the music player first & reenter it to see the tracks that were already there before the new ones... if i try to remove tracks, the update works fine & would record the removed tracks... what is wrong????
    Please somebody, help!
