N73 music - voice recorder

Have a confusion !
the voice recorder in N73 m records for just 1 minute... with a memory card of 2GB, is it possible for record for more time - say around an hour or so !!!
help me please

where can i find this software ! how much does it costs !
and do you use N73 m phone too !

I've just recently used the Voice recorder on my 5800 XpressMusic (FW 31.0.101) phone & I've notice something weird
If you select Options > Settings > Choose memory location > recording Quality > High
Then record something, then select 'Options' > 'Go To Gallery' -
No mp4 files (the format 'high' is recorded in) are shown
Yet it's fine if you set Recording quality to 'Standard' (WAV) or ' MMS compatible' (AMR)

So I've found out
- but the problem with THAT is when you have >300 'songs' on the phone - it takes a while to scroll through to find a 20sec 'clip'.
What would you prefer ?
Currently, When using the 'Standard' or 'MMS' quality:
Select 'Options' > 'Go To Gallery' > There they are
OR
When using the 'High' Quality:
Select 'Options' > 'Go To Gallery' > 'Back' > 'Songs' > select a category e.g. 'All Songs' > Scroll through list to try & find it (& possibly scroll right pass it, so you'll need to scroll back)

.Y N73 is having only 1 minut voice recordig...??? this 1 minut voice recording of Nokia n73 is mearly uselesss..!!!!!!this is a very basic featute even 4 an average Model..Then y its not there for N 73?
is it possilble to extend the time limit by any means..?

We checked it with an iPhone 5 in house multiple times and could not reproduce this Problem. Must be something specific to your device. Maybe your speakerphone volume is turned down completely?

Restarting music play after voice recording

It would be nice to pause a song, do a voice recording, then go back and continue from where I paused. This does not seem possible. I have to find and restart the song after the voice recording.
Is this possible? If not, it would be a very nice feature to have.

In order to make this happen, you would have to tick the option for each track on your Nano to "Remember playback position" in iTunes.
To do this, right->click on a track or all of your tracks at once to edit them all simultaneously, then choose "Get Info" from the shortcut menu. From there, head over to the Options tab. Here you will find the "Remember playback position" option. Go ahead and check it and then sync the updated changes to your iPod.

You can't do anything in the background of iOS. Apps are still one at a time (with a few exceptions like Music), and suspend when the app is closed. It's also against the App Store guidelines to sell apps that would allow such actions.
Though, maybe you could get your Voice Memos saved to MP3's, which can play in the background of other apps.

Zen Vision: M Voice recorder feature for school quest

Hello guys. I am very close to purchasing a Zen Vision: M 30GB MP3 Player.
My main concern is with the Voice Recording function since i wish to record
school lectures.
Will anyone who owns one of these or has direct information, please discuss this with me?
] How clear are the recordings? I'm planning to record 2-3 hour lectures at a time
2] I've been hearing there is a faint noise due to the hard-disk of the unit, does it present an issue?

Advice on voice recorder attachments?

We have to replace an Olympus digital Voice Recorder that was lost.
Our primary goal is record lectures, classes, etc.
We have an iPod with color display (photos, no video) that was purchased late in 2005.
Are there any of these products that will work well for this purpose? I see iTalk (which seems to have vanished from the Belkin web site?!) iMic, iTalk, iPod Microphone Adapter, iPod Voice Recorder, TuneTalk... And that's just Belkin products...
Any recommendations for these products for recording lectures?

It is recommended to attach a tripod (not supplied) or opening the stand on the rear and placing the IC recorder at a more upright angle on a table when recording a music performance (e.g., concerts) so you can adjust the angle of the IC recorder and the built-in microphones more precisely.
Also, you cannot modify the Scene Select settings (page 34 of the manual). If you want to change the setting items, such as REC Mode (page 74), Mic Sensitivity (page 75), etc., for recording situations, use the menu to change each item of recording settings.

Reduce base on voice recorder?

Hi I have the icd-ax412 voice recorder and wanted to know what are some good setting to reduce the base during concerts that allow voice recorders at the base makes the sound not so good on playback?

I don't have any experience of that voice recorder, but if you are meaning can you record live music with an iPod and voice recorder and expect the results to be at or near cd quality, the answer is no.
Far from it in fact. It's meant simply for voice recording, using it for anything else and the quality of sound will be very poor.

Mac compatible Digital voice recorder

I'm looking to buy a Mac compatible Digital voice recorder for interviews (I'm a journalist). Needs are one that is easy and basic, where I don't need to download any software if possible. I'm going to be doing lengthy interviews and need something that can stand up to travel & length of time (about 2-3 hrs per interview). Thanks for an input. Apple store couldn't help.... thanks!

For a high quality portable audio recorder, I've been very happy with the Olympus LS-10, but it is more expensive that the ordinary voice recorder, on the order of $250USD. If you want quality, this has it. I am disappointed at the sound quality of the voice recorders I have tried. It's stereo, about the size of a pack of cigarettes (if anybody remembers that). The built-in microphones are not perfect for music (reduced bass and boosted highs), but are excellent for voice. The device records about 10 hours continuously on 2 AA batteries. It has tiny speakers and earphone jack, and an iPod-easy menu system. It requires no software to transfer files. You connect the USB cable to the Mac, and the recorder shows up on the desktop for you to move whatever files you wish. You can record in WAV, MP3 or WMA formats at several bit depths and sample rates to balance quality with file size.
There are many competing products (Sony, Tascam, Marantz, others) that have some similar characteristics, but I have no experience with them - except some Zoom products I tried were poor.

Why I have to mute Audio Voice Recording Track always in order to subdue the voice recorded when I want to solo other tracks, audio or midi for listening.The other audio tracks don't sound without being muted. Please advise how to deal with this .Thanks

I wll try this--but I still am unclear on how to do what the Manual says is possible: select clips on another track that WILL be moved, if I so desire, so as to remain synched to the main Video track.
UPDATE:
In the case of inserting Freeze Frame, I just tried both Ctrl method and Alt method, and neither worked.
1. Put Video on Vid1 track
2. Put Music on Sound Track
3. Ran a few seconds of Vid
4. Stopped Vid, selected Freeze Frame
5. Held down Ctrl key while clicking "Insert in Movie" also tried with holding down Alt key.
Result: a 3 second still was inserted int the Vid1 track. A corresponding gap was created in the Sound Track.
6. Slid the final part of the Sound Track to the left along the timeline to re-connect it to the next segment created by the above process.
Result: the video following the final Freeze Frame was pushed to the right end of Video1 track.
7. Slid the Sound Track all the way to the left.
Result: the entire Video 1 Track contents were pushed to the right and divided in pieces.
I documented each step with screen shots which I can send if you want them and if I can figure out how to do it.
UPDATE #2
In the case of inserting a video clip to the Timeline, I just tried both Ctrl method and Alt method, and neither worked.
1. Locate video in Project Assets
2a. R click video in Project Assets (pull-down menu appears), hold down Ctrl, click Insert to Timeline.
Result: Vid clip is inserted on Video 1 track, Sound Track is separated with a corresponding gap.
2b. R click video in Project Assets (pull-down menu appears), push Alt
Result: pull-down menu disappears as soon as Alt is pushed down.
I can stil drag the Vid clip but it's one more manual step...I love shortcuts!!

Convert GarageBand Voice Recording to Audiobook

I'm trying to convert a Garageband voice recording to Audiobook format. The file is currently saved in iTunes music library. I want the ability to listen to the file using my iPod's Audiobook category. This way, I can listen in fast playback mode--which I don't think is available in the music category.

I'm not very familiar with Audiobook formats, I think there's several of them around. If you're talking about the AAC format, here's a 4-step workaround that I found in a discussion group on the Net and that I quote without actually having tested it:
Interestingly enough, I just figured out how to turn mp3s into audiobooks today.
Step one...convert your mp3s into AAC files (.m4a) using iTunes
Two...in the finder, change the file extensions for those files from .m4a to .m4b
Three...download an audio bookmarking iTunes script from www.malcolmadams.com/itunes/scripts/ss.php?sp=makebookmarkable and install the script
Four...Add the new .m4b files to your iTunes library, select them, and select the Bookmarking script from the Scripts menu.
Try it and tell us if it works for you!
(In your case, you might skip step one and export the GB file as AAC in the first place!)

The Voice recording app, is there an easy way to transfer the file to Itunes?

I have a very long file that was recorded in the Voice Recording App on my Iphone, and I am trying to upload it to my Itunes. How is this accomplished? Has anyone done this before?

Sharing voice memos with your computer
Sync voice memos with iTunes: Connect iPhone to your computer, then in iTunes select iPhone.
Select Music at the top of the screen (between Apps and Movies),
select Sync Music, select “Include voice memos,” and click Apply.
Voice memos synced from iPhone to your computer appear in the Music list and in the Voice Memos playlist in iTunes.
Memos synced from your computer appear in the Voice Memos app on iPhone, but not in the Music app.

5310 Voice Recorder

I have noticed that on the 5310 XpressMusic the voice recorder has a maximum record time of 58 Seconds. Is there a way to change this to a higher capacity? Since the phone does come with a 1 Gig card. Any help would be appreciated.
