N73 (non-music edition): How to rename my song art...

Hello,
I'm just new to using n73 and I like my phone very organized, but I don't know how to rename artists and albums so I couldn't put them in the right categories (I've got 100+ songs on my phone, and it gets me headache). :-p
I just want to know how can I rename the artists and such so I could keep them organized....
[I have also tried the file manager on PC Suit but it won't work]

You used to be able to drag the artwork anywhere outside of iTunes (10.7). Get Info on the track, click the artwork tab, and simply try dragging the image to the desktop or folder of your chosing. You'll probably have to rename the image file to your specifications.

  • Nokia N73 (not music edition) Ring tone mute mode

    Hi,
I am having the Nokia N73 (not music edition) phone. If I receive any call when the music player is in the pause mode then I can see the vibrating alert only and not the ring tone. At that time my ring tone is going on mute mode. Is it a build-in functionality? Or it is a problem?
    Thanks,
    Parker.

Try switching profiles. If you see it's set to Silent, turn it to General instead.

  • How to rename a song that says Track 1

How do I rename a song that I have imported from a CD that just says Track 1, it came up with a list of possible options but none of them were right, I only got an Okay or Cancel option.  I have also searched for the song in itunes store but it doesn't exist.  I have quite a few un-named tracks on my itunes and it would be good to name them all.  Thanks

Hihglight the song. Right-click and then select Get Info/Info and then type in the information you want to the appropriate fields. Press OK.

  • I don't like how Itunes renames my songs

By default Itunes is renaming songs as Song# - Song Title. I personally like to name my song files as "Artist - Album - song# - song title."
Is there anyway to make it so that when music is imported to the iTunes folder and managed by iTunes that it can name the song how I want it to be named rather than by their "Song# - Song Title?"
    Any help would be appreciated.

If you import from a CD, by default the heirarchy is Artist folder/Album folder/tracks and the tracks are listed with track # ahead of the track name. There used to be a preference to not add track numbers when importing, but Apple has taken that out of the software. I haven't seen it since version 7.2 that I can recall.
I like to have complete control over my tags too, but when I burn with Roxio, it helps to have the track numbers to preserve the original order of the tracks.
On my Mac I use a batch file renamer to remove the track numbers from the file name, and that's cool, because it doesn't remove the info from the tags and the album order stays the same.

  • N8 Music Synchronization - how to clear all songs ...

    Background:
I quickly synced a stack of songs from my N97 sync in Windows Media Player (Win 7).  Naturally the sync was way larger than the storage capacity on the N8.
When I had more time, I went back and made a more conservative sized playlist and went to do what I would have done on the N97: Deleted all folders in the "Music" directory on the Mass Storage drive.  Seeing there was an "Albums" folder with .alb files in it I also toasted them (must be related right).
    Method:
    1. Connect N8 in Mass Storage mode
    2. Delete Music and Albums folders.
    3. Sync playlist using WMP
    4. Disconnect and rebuild library.
    Result:
My music library has very little album art now.
It seems to be incorrectly ordered and grouped by artist-album instead of album-artist
    It is basically a mess.
    Other info:
Got a message after sync was complete that I should consider using Ovi Suite mode (what was previously called PC Suite mode) to sync songs in future.
I didn't use this method to sync because I found some folders on the device could not be deleted.  The phone seemed to lock up.  This did not happen in Mass Storage mode.
    Questions:
    1. How do you correctly delete all songs on the N8 mass storage drive (including all supporting/supplementary files) and database files (if necessary).
    2. How does Ovi Suite mode differ from Mass Storage mode in the way it manages Music Sync?
    Nokia N8

OK. I have got perfect album art synching using MediaMonkey.
Connect using Mass Storage and then configure your device (Assume its a memory card and you can tell it how to do folder structure). I tried doing this initially using default settings and 90% of my music (all embedded art) appeared fine, with just a few missing.
Take 2. In device configuration, get it to copy the art over as folder.jpg as well. Then refresh music library, and the device will create .alb files (not picked up by the photo gallery, unlike the folder.jpgs!). Then, still connected in Mass storage mode search your music folder for all .jpg and delete, leaving just the .alb.
No missing art. No covers in photo browser. Best solution I have so far.

  • How to rename converted AAC filename using Nokia M...

I'm using Nokia 3110. I encounterd some issue about the mp3 music fail to playback due to require activation code on my Nokia 3110 phone. I managed to overcome the activation code problem by using Nokia Music Manager. I just do not understand why this issue happen??? Because some of the songs from the same CD album do not have this activation code issue. FYI. I purhcase original CD.
Second issue i'm still figuring is about how to rename AAC song as per my desire. The default file name after converted to ACC using Nokia Music Manager is 01-.AAC. I did try to rename it using Nokia Music Manager. But, once it downloaded to the phone. It still display the "original" file name, which is 01-.AAC. Please assist.
Third issue is about the album information. How does Nokia Music Manager categories or get the "correct" album information? Some of the song name is incorrect after downloaded to the phone.
    from Music Lover

Not come across the activation code issue at all.
To stop the track number appearing in the file name:
    - open Music Manager (Transfer music option in PC Suite)
    - click Options .. Settings
    - unset the "Add track number to the file name when ripping content from CD" option
You'll have to re-rip all your music again, though.
If you don't want to do this, I'm sure there are tools around that will let you edit the track information in the file - try a search on this board or google.

  • ITunes(10.6) or iTunes Match is renaming my songs

I updated to iTunes 10.6 yesterday everything was fine. This morning I noticed iTunes Match was turned off. Maybe from the update, no big, I signed back in. At least one of my song has been reverted back to UQLqfobz9Jpn.128. By chance I took a screen shot yesterday of the song and here it is again.
Notice iTunes got rid of any metadata that was not originally part of the song when imported(plays, rating, title).
    My Questions:
    1) Is there are way to revert the metadata back.
    2) Some other songs are like this, any tips on finding them all?
    3) Is the a tech support doc on this, I could only find info on HOW to rename a song.

You are experiencing a problem many others have reported.  Basically, during the matching process, if there is a "clean" version of an "explicit" song, Apple is matching to the "clean" one.  The explicit track is still on your computer unless you've removed it.
As for who would want a "clean" version of anything, only people who have purchased it could tell you why.  Consider the legal implications, however, if someone who wanted "clean" versions suddenly found all their music had gone, well, nasty!
Apple's legal department may have forced engineering to put some measures in place to keep that from happening.  If they did, they're working a little too well.  Hopefully with time Apple will get it straightened out.

  • Problems with Camera on Nokia n73 music edition

I have a nokia n73 music edition and this is the issue
When I slide down bac cover to open camera sometimes the I don't get image from back camera at all but only from front.
Another this is that today I opened the camera and with the shouter I couldn't take pictures.
I pressed it but nothing occured.
I tried to update the software but no luck because it says that phone has newer software.
I also when I go to the Camera through the main menu then it shows the video of front camera

Format your memory card and try again. Remember to backup all your stuff in the memory card before formatting.
If you still have problems, then try these options one by one:
    1. Turn off your phone and leave your battery out for 5-10min. Then, put them back in and turn on the phone.
    2. Restore factory settings: type *#7780# at the standby screen. Enter 12345 for the security code or the one you've changed it to.
Before you try the next two steps, backup your phone memory using PC Suite.
    3. Soft reset: type *#7370#. Enter the security code when prompted
    4. Hard reset (Last resort, nothing else works): Turn off your phone, press and hold down these keys: 3, * and the call (Green) button. Turn on your phone without releasing them. Leave the keys only after you see the Nokia logo on the screen.
If none of these work, then take it to the nearest Nokia Care Point.
PS: There's no use posting more than once, under irrelevant threads. It'll only delay help

I'm on the v4 firmware, and its still slow though.
Menu speed has improved a little for sure, but most things are still relatively painful, especially when compared to something like a SE K800 (which uses the same darned processor, running at a similar speed, around 200mHz).
I had the ME software on my N73 and had no problems what so ever.

  • I am going to restore my Macbook Pro to it's factory condition. In iTunes I have renamed a lot of my songs. Last time I cleaned off my mac and restored my music I had to rename all those songs again. How do I get itunes to remember all of those names?

I am going to restore my Macbook Pro to it's factory condition. I do this every once in a while because it seems to improve performance. I backup everything to an external drive and then I restore only what I want from my backup drive. In iTunes I have renamed a lot of my songs. Last time I cleaned off my mac and restored/reloaded my music I had to rename all those songs again. It took me about 2 weeks to reorganize my music. How do I get iTunes to remember all of those names and keep everything exactly the same when I restore/reload the music into iTunes?

It may seem like it does but it really doesn't.
Just delete stuff you don't want.

Use Time Machine, backup everything, do the reinstall (I recommend you don't do it) then restore your user folder with Time Machine.

  • N73 Music Edition

    Hi,
I am having problem with my N73 Music Edition phone. It freezes frequently. Need to remove the battery to restart again.
I have updated the firmware a month back but this problem remains. If we use keys quickly the freezing occurs very often.
    Firmware: V4.0736.3.2.1
    04-09-2007
RM-133 @ Nokia N73 (08) (this is the latest till today)
All my data are in memory card.
Could anyone help me to identify/solve the problem.
    Thanks
    Biju

if you have the latest firmware installed and it's freezing up, then your only other option is taking it to a nokia care center. they may be able to resolve the problem or replace your mobile. whatever is the best solution.
    everything happens for a reason
