N73 Non responsive applications
Hi,
My N73 stsrted to show non responsive attitude in most applications like the camera and gallery viewing, and slow response in contacts and dialled numbers.
I tried the troublshooting hints in the catalogue but it is not helping any bit.
I have to shut down the phone in many cases and start all over. or in some cases I click the red Exit key to go back to the standby mode.
I'm starting to feel sorry I ever decided to go for a "SMART" phone.
Is there any phone software upgrade or repair, I use English and Arabic languages.

I have the N73 too and found this sort of problem when i first got it (6 days ago!!!!!)
Checked out latest drivers and seems ok although if you have full/almost full memory this can cause "lag" too so if you have a miniSD card transfer whats on the phone memory to the miniSD and also back up to your pc/laptop(if you have one)?

Oh and although miniSD cards are good don't fill them right up, they like any memory need abit left over to function properly.

I tried to set up a remote desktop connection between my MacMini and my work computer. It was not working so I hit cancel, but then the big black screen of death came up and will not go a way. Try ( alt + cmd + esc ). Gives you a menu of running applications, and a chance to "Force Quit". -
I have a non-responsive application. I've tried alt+cmd+esc and it doesn't work. I have held the start button to shut the computer down but when I boot the computer again the app automatically opens and I'm stuck again.

Full gc's/Application non-responsiveness
I have a web application that proceeds through a series of minor collections followed by the occasional major/full collection. After a period of time, the application becomes non-responsive and the vm goes into the process of doing full collection after full collection. Can someone explain or point me towards articles explaining theoretical possibilities of what is occuring. To avoid this situation should I concentrate on increasing max memory to the vm, should I focus on increasing the new size, other...? The amount of memory after each collection is relatively constant. Thanks in advance...
Sounds like the heap is getting full and the JVM is working aggressively to make more room. Perhaps the problem is it hits its maximum heap size and it cannot make anymore room. I'm no expert on this topic, though I'm interested in it.

Register non web application on SSO
how can i register non web application ? I have installed app server , oid and was able to sync with active directory. I need to integrate and have a single sign on for all my application . What will be the next step ?
Thanks Kiran for your prompt response. I dont have any web based application. I have some of the applications where backends are oracle and sybase. How can a provide a single sign on for the application. Once the user enters his user name or password. If he has the prvilege the use multiple apps he dont have to enter username and password for each application. I had syn with windows AD. I have oracle db on unix. I believe i have to sync with EM users for all oracle db. what about sybase ?? how can i have the single sign on . I have OID, IAS installed on a single windows server.

Safari is non-responsive after intitial start up. Before it can load the homepage (google), it will hang and give a perpetual pinwheel until I force quit the program. Safari works in temporary user account but not in my primary user account. I have reinstalled osx via the command-r upon start up and the problem still persists. Any suggestions on how to reinstall or repair safari?
Thanks for thinking about my problem. I've already experimented with creating a new user, a co-administrator. The programs don't crash when that account is running, just as they don't crash when the guest-user's account runs. So it seems that the problem is limited to the default user's account, which is the one that was running when I installed the updates to the OS and the firmware. Another clue is that the programs that crash as soon as they are launched are *probably* the ones that were open at that time in that account. Yet deleting Saved Application States does not keep the programs from crashing when next launched.
So the mystery continues, but these additional facts will help with the diagnosis, I hope.

Cusrsor Freezes up and is non responsive- Solution?
I am using a mouse with my newly purchase C2D MBP and still from time to time, getting the non responsive frozen cursor. As far as I can tell, there appears to be no rhyme or reason to this. This is my second computer. First there was an odd low pitch beeping sound coming from the left side near speaker as well as the non responsive frozen cursor. Exchanged the computer for exact same model I have now. No longer have the beep but noticing lately there is still the non responsive frozen cursor problem I had with the original one. The Apple solution as far as disabling track pad really has no relavelance to the problem I am experiencing with my computer as well as I see from others in this discussion. I'm not sure what to do at this point. Any suggestions?
Macbook Pro C2D MBP Mac OS X (10.4.8)1. Try unplugging the mouse and plugging it back it when it freezes.
2. Note the exact time if freezes and check your system logs in your Console application for clues.
3. Boot from your system install DVD, play around with the mouse awhile and see if you can get it to freeze. This will help determine if it's software or hardware related.
4. You could have some bad sectors on your hard drive. Back it up and do a "Zero all data" reformat. Then clone everything back.

If the checkbox at the bottom marked

is checked, uncheck it and test.

If any applications are listed on the right and have a checked box next to them, uncheck all the boxes and test. You may first have to click the padlock icon in the lower left corner of the window and authenticate as an administrator to unlock the settings. -
Submit a webdynpro IView from a non-Portal application

i have create a WebDynpro application. This application shows in a table a list of '. This reports are IView for Bex Web Application in a SAP portal. For navigation to this BW IView the WebDynpro application must be also embedded in a WD iView.
The problem is:
This WD IView will be requested by a non-sap/portal application with dynamic parameters and also with the POST method.
In the WD application i have implemented the parameter request with following code:

If the non-portal application submit the WD application directly -> the parameters are available.
But when the non-portal application submit the WD IView, then the Parameters are 'null'.

Non-responsive scripts after installing Flash Player 11.3.300.257
Adding more info, I do not happen to have RealPlayer installed.
After updating FlashPlayer to the latest version I experienced non-responsive scripts - I use NoScript plugin with Firefox, as well as Java 7 update 4.Java 7 update 5 has been just released, thanks for replying.
I did not install it though, in order to try to reproduce the problem.
I am a Mechatronics Engineer and I have a non-common OS and software configuration.
There is a numerical simulation application in my system which requires a programming language compiler to run, and such compiler requires the OS primary SDK and framework to be "understood" by the system.
That said, I believe all the debugging routines might be somehow limiting FlashPlayer abstraction layer functionalities.
As awkward as it may seem now, Firefox did not crash after one absolutely random measure I took.

Although there is a hanging before opening the about page and Youtube, flash content is indeed presented.
Well, there might be a different abstraction layer approach regarding this content debugger version.

Pages is non-responsive when it opens
Pages, version 5 is non-responsive whenever it opens. It's very frustrating as I have created several documents which I cannot access. Why is there no option to open these documents with the previous Pages' version? Everytime the application is force quit, I have a report sent to Apple. Why is there no update to correct this glaringly bad application?
Shame on you, Apple!Update your operating system to 10.9.2, and Pages v5 to v5.1 in the App Store Updates section. Then use /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility to verify/repair the permissions on your boot drive. Do the first two sentences resolve your Pages v5 hanging issue?
Pages v5 has had two updates (5.01, and 5.1) since last fall. Apple has suggested more to come, but they don't share their plans or schedules with this user to user support community. -
Home Hub v1 non-responsive user interface
I haven't used the home hub for a couple of years, but because of ongoing IP profile problems I've got it out of storage to use in place of my Draytek 2600.
Using the internet works fine, but more often than not when I'm trying to configure application sharing, or fixed IP addresses, etc. the hub user interface just freezes and won't respond. Only solution is to turn the hub off and back on.
Is there a fix to this problem of a non-responsive hub user interface?tarbat wrote:

No, but it's the last version that allowed telnet access. Mine's locked to that version for that reason.
I do find the browser interface sluggish at times, but I don't use it much as the telnet/CLI allows for much more control and configuration.

Messages loads in 10.10.1 then goes non responsive
After the 10.10.1 update, Messages will load but then immediately goes into the spinning beachball of non-responsiveness causing me to force quit.
What I've tried so far to resolve this:
1. Logging out and back on to iCloud
2. Ctrl-Alt-P-R on restart in case it was a PRAM issue
3. Restore via Time Machine backup (not allowed due to the deep integration of Messages in Yosemite)
4. Re-installing Yosemite
Unfortunately I haven't discovered a way to remove Messages off my HD and try reinstalling.

Quit Messages if it’s running. Force quit if necessary. Relaunch it and test after each of the following steps. If the problem isn't resolved, quit again and go on to the next step.
Step 1
Make sure you know the ID and password you use with iMessage. Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
Select the login keychain from the list on the left side of the Keychain Access window. If your default keychain has a different name, select that.
If the lock icon in the top left corner of the window shows that the keychain is locked, click to unlock it. You'll be prompted for the keychain password, which is the same as your login password, unless you've changed it.
Right-click or control-click the login entry in the list. From the menu that pops up, select
Change Settings for Keychain "login"
In the sheet that opens, uncheck both boxes, if not already unchecked.
From the menu bar, select
Keychain Access ▹ Preferences ▹ First Aid
If the box marked
Keep login keychain unlocked
is not checked, check it.
Select
Keychain Access ▹ Keychain First Aid
from the menu bar and repair the keychain.
From the Category list in the lower left corner of the window, select My Certificates. Look carefully at the list of certificates in the right side of the window. If any of them is marked with a red "X" as expired or invalid, delete it. Also delete all items with "iMessage" or "com.apple.idms" in the name, whether valid or not.
From the menu bar, select
Keychain Access ▹ Preferences... ▹ Certificates
There are three menus in the window. Change the selection in the top two to Best attempt, and in the bottom one to CRL.
Log out and log back in.
Step 2
Hold down the option key and select
Go ▹ Library
from the Finder menu bar. Move the following items from the Library folder to the Trash (some may not exist):
Containers/com.apple.corerecents.recentsd
Caches/com.apple.Messages
Caches/com.apple.imfoundation.IMRemoteURLConnectionAgent
Containers/com.apple.iChat
Containers/com.apple.soagent
IdentityServices
Leave the Library folder open. Log out and log back in.
Step 3
Go back to the Finder and move the following item from the open Library folder to the Desktop:
Messages
Note: you are not moving the Messages application. You’re moving a folder named “Messages.”
If Messages now works, delete the Messages folder on the Desktop. Otherwise, quit Messages again. Put back the folder you moved, overwriting the newer one that may have been created in its place.
Step 4
In the Preferences subfolder, there may be several files having names that begin with any of the following strings:
com.apple.iChat
com.apple.ids
com.apple.imdsmsrecordstore
com.apple.imessage
com.apple.imservice
Move them all to the Desktop. There may also be a file with the name "com.apple.imagent.plist". Move that to the Trash.
Also in the Preferences folder, there's a subfolder named "ByHost". Open it and do the same thing.
Log out and log back in. Test again. This time Messages should perform normally, but your settings will be lost. You may be able to put back some of the files you moved to the Desktop in this step. Relaunch and test after each one. Eventually you should find one or more that causes Messages to malfunction. Delete those files and recreate whatever settings they contained.
If the issue is still not resolved, quit Messages again and put all the items you moved to the Desktop back where they were. You don’t need to replace the items you moved to the Trash. Stop here and post your results.
If you later decide that you don’t like the results of Steps 3 and 4, you can undo them completely by quitting Messages and restoring the items you deleted in those steps from your backup. -
It seems every couple of days, our FMS (latest version) goes
non responsive. By this I mean, the connections on the RMTP/HTTP
ports fail. (verified using

We're using nothing more than the sample guestbook
application, and find that after a couple of days, we don't get

bugfix issued in the 2.0.1 update. Have you updated to the latest
