N73 + PC Suite Modem drivers + WinFax 10

Hi,
Can I send faxes from WinFax 10 with the modem drivers installed by latest PC Suite for N73?
If not is it possible to do that with a fax modem card and all of the above somehow?
Maybe in Linux?

PC SUITE installs and connects the phone perfectly through cable and through bluetooth
PROBLEM:
I am trying to connect to the internet through the modem of my E71, but its not working.
I think that the modem drivers are not there or are broken, because when I connect the phone to the laptop (dell), BOTH through usb cable or bluetooth, Vista sees a modem and starts searching for drivers for it, and then fails: (the parameter is incorrect).
I read that these drivers come with nokia pc suite, so I tried with different versions, but same result - paremeter is incorrect. Tried installing the drivers manually from the nokia support site - Vista does not see the drivers in the folder i put them.
Can anyone tell me how to install the drivers properly so I can link to internet? re-installing PC Suite and installing drivers manually does NOT work!
I used 7 nokias for the last 9 years, but this is the first one I want to break in someone's head up there in Finland

Is your Vista 64-bit? I think there's no Vista x64 driver for E71 modem yet.

Certainly its a silly question but why you install the W2k OS on this Vista notebook???
Whatever seems Toshiba driver page does not provide the W2k drivers for this new notebook but dont give up dude ;)
This unit uses a modem Conexant chip.

All Drivers are working fine EXCEPT Audio and Modem drivers on my G430

I have a lenovo 3000 G430 4152C2Q that is 1 month old.It came with Vista home but I uninstalled it and installed Windows XP SP2.I downloaded all drivers from Lenovo's official site for my Laptop's type and installed them. Now I'm not able to install Audio/Sound drivers and not able to connect to Internet as it's giving me some error messages for both.(I've installed patches and hotfix already).
I've seen most of the people having same problem, So I tried following instructions given by members in some other posts but still I'm not able to make it finished and same problem is there. Please help me asap with clear instructions so that I can install Audio drivers and modem drivers...as I'm a techie and most of the times I use internet for my work.
I will highly appreciate any kind of help.

Hi, If you search for "launch2net" in google you will find a program that allows you to connect to the web via your phone. This works for my N80 but cost a couple of bucks. I am attempting to write my own modem script and will let you know if I succeed.

Nokia N73 & PC Suite 6.82.22.0

I recently purchased a Nokia N73 from 3 Australia, and installed PC Suite from the CD, and upgraded to PC Suite 6.82.22.0 During one of the installs my computer had a problem and seemed to hang the installation (it stalled for some five minutes before I stopped the install). I re-installed PC Suite and everything seemed fine, except that when I connected my N73 by cable, the 'new hardware' wizard appears to load in the 'Nokia USB modem'. It tries, and fails, to load this twice, and then the PC Suite software and the System Tray icon (little phone) both show the phone as not connected. However all PC Suite applications are available and working correctly. I have tried uninstalling PC Suite, rebooting, and re-installing PC suite with no better success, then reading other posts I used PC Suite Cleaner, and then reinstalled PC Suite. The very first connection was great, system tray icon changed to little green orb, and PC Suite then said connected. Sometime after that i must have rebooted the system (or at least disconnected the cable) and now PC Suite will not indicate the phone is connected although all PC Suite options (sync, backup, contacts etc) are available. What can I do to resolve this issue? I have WinXP Home with Service pack 2, PC Suite 6.82.22.0, and Nokia CA-53 cable. I normally used it through a USB hub, but even connecting it direct to the computer USB port makes no difference (the drivers are 'installed' and hardware is ready to use) Abes

Open Control Panel > system > hardware > Device manager >
when phone is connected -> can you find this:
"Wireless Communication Devices
1 Nokia N73 USB Generic
2 Nokia N73 USB OBEX
3 Nokia N73 USB OBEX
4 Nokia N73 USB OBEX
5 Nokia N73 USB Phone Parent
Or is there "Unknown Device" only??
And check also Modems and Ports -> can find your phone from there (and is there yellow marks)??

N73 / PC Suite 6.82.22.0 / Restore problems

I safely backed up all my phone's data via data cable before upgrading the software on my phone (again, via data cable). All went well and the software upgrade was fine.
But on restoring it only puts the multimedia data back on there. So I only have pictures/sounds etc, but no contacts, notes, calendar... I'm absolutely desperate to get this data back.
When doing the restore I have three restore options. 2 old ones from my old (6600?) phone (about 2mb each) and a large one (26mb) for my N73 - as it has a much higher quality camera the files are bigger. However, when I actually go to the folder where those update files are kept (.nfb files?) there are only the two old backup files.
But the data must be somewhere on my system as it updates all the pictures and videos perfectly.
It's also worth noting that I've tried rebooting both my phone and my PC several times but without success. And every time i turn on my phone it asks for the time and date, as if it were the first time I've ever turned it on.

I've tried updating the contacts, notes and calendar from a previous backup in february and that seems to work. So I have most of my numbers now.
But I've lost all numbers, notes and important diary updates that I've input into my phone since february.
Also, since the phone software update it asks for time and date every time I turn it on, which is really annoying.
Any ideas?

How to install nokia 6020 modem drivers?

My Nokia is 6020, I would like to use it as a modem for a notebook (with Windows XP).I have CA-42 cable with a disk, so Nokia PC Suite was installed on my notebook, but attempt to connect to the Internet was fault because the notebook regarded the built-in modem as appropriate one and the only potential. So I downloaded Nokia6020IrDA_2000_XP.inf drivers from www.nokia.ru . It didn’t work either. Now it identifies “PC Connectivity Bluetooth Modem - connected to COM6” (that is funny – I have no Bluetooth at all!). All Mobile settings are correct.

MODEM DRIVERS FOR N81

I have been trying to "pair" my wifes n81 with her Asus eee so that she can use the phone as a modem. I have tried every way of doing this via pc suite and not had much luck. When I also delete all signs of pcsuite and just connect the phone to the laptop via usb it automatically recognises the n81 and seems to be trying to initiate downloading the phone drivers but never manages to do it and comes up with a box saying that the hardware has not been installed. Does anyone have an idea why the laptop is not able to download the drivers from the phone even though it recognises it. I am not too bothered about whether we use pc suite or not and would be prepared to just use dial up if necessary. thanks

Drivers are found in PC suite installation CAB file.See the folder where you have downloaded the latest PC suite. else use the CD that came with the phone. You can also get drives from Nokia site, See this link http://www.nokia.co.in/A4971442

N73 & PC Suite - no photo upload & not fully synch...

I'm running Windows XP and the latest PC Suite (updated yesterday).
Regardless of the "both way" settings, when synchronising data only goes from the PC to the phone, not the otherway. I've tried the fix mentioned earlier (create new settings) but no luck.
Also similar story with photos...the pc isn't able to read any photos on the phone. On image store, it simply says no new photos, on Photoshop Album it says 'cannot connect to phone, phone busy or locked' (neither of which is true)
in summary, data only seems to go one way - PC to phone.
any ideas?

Hi,
I downloaded my contacts from my N73 in CSV format. I edited the CSV. Now when I try to import this file via pc suite/ communication center the program crashes ("communication center stopped working, windows vista is trying to find a solution blah blah").
I have latest pc suite 7.0.9.2, connecting with USB cable (also just been updated).
Any ideas?

Hi, my N73 is still syncing with Outlook and updating my diary and contacts. But the communication centre (messages) is not updating. I have 'repaired' PC Suite and reloaded my phone, but still it is not updating.
Any thoughts?

Audio and Modem Drivers - No Soundmax

All,
After pulling my hair out yesterday I wanted to share my findings. I have a T61p with a Thinkpad modem. After using the modem for about 2 minutes it will crash BSOD citing HSF_CNXT.sys. Upon restart I did not have audio. I did not realize that my modem and audio share the same bus. Long story short if you use your modem and your laptop crashes and upon restart you have no audio or modem do not do the whole uninstall/reinstall driver routine. Simply turn off your laptop, unplug the power supply, take out the battery, press the power button put it all back together and restart and it will work (hopefully). Go buy a real external modem and forget you have an internal modem.

The Toshiba driver page provides XP drivers for Tecra A6 PTA60E and for Tecra A6 PTA61E.
If you dont know what Tecra you exactly have please check the label at the bottom of the unit!!!!
