N73 phone freeze problem

Hi,
I am wondering if anyone could help me out.
My phone was working fine before..But suddenly one night,when I tried to dial a number, the screen freeze. I had to take off the battery then restarted again. At first, I could turned it off, but after 30sec, the screen blink onece and freeze and the screen became all black and turned off. Now, when I turn on the screen, only the word"NOKIA" appears, then the phone freeze. and I have to take off the battery to turn it off.
Does anyone know what problem is it? Hardware?Software?Firmware?
I would be reaaly appreciated if anyone could help me out...

you could try if a hard reset works
press and hold "green phone" +(3) +(*) and when they are pushed in press th "ON" button. i think this is the correct way
the phone should be turned of
This will reset all in phone so everything save in phone will get deleted. But as it seems you wont be able to save any information no matter how you do it.
If this dont work i guess that a Service point is your chance

Blackberry Tour Youtube problem/facebook and phone freezing problem

ok any time i go on youtube to watch a video it never works i always get this error thing that says:
in the top right corner it says Error Playing in red
and then a box opens and says "An error has occered attempting to play media." and then all i can click is Ok
and this has only been since i installed the buzzmetin app and then removed it cause it was just pissing me off
also i docked my phone with my pc to add some music to the media card thats about it.

the facebook problem is just bothering me but i just use the mobile browser app to get to facebook now for the time being.

mine is by default 0000 and i wanted to change it to something different so people cant just access my phone when i have the blue tooth on

YOUTUBE has not release an app for Blackberry Tour yet. The only option you have is to download an app called Vision (http://vision.metova.com/download) I do have BuzzMe app and still watch videos on my phone. Hope that helps! As for your freezing problem, make sure whatever app you open..ie, internet, games, google maps....make sure you close it fully. One way to make sure your BB is as fresh when you wake up in the morning, download an app called Quickpull Lite. Good luck...

I got the same problem. The percentage of getting this problem is around 10% of all my dial/receive calls.
The problem usually appears when I receive calls. The phone app will freeze, and I cannot dial or receive calls even I closed the phone app, however, most other apps work properly.
Once this problem happens, I will not be able to turn off the phone by holding sleep button, the only way I can get rid of it is holding sleep and home button at the same time to reset the iphone.

It appears that I have the same problem with my IPhone 5 as many others. After I installed IOS 7 my phone freezes up constantly.

I bought the IPhone 5 a few months ago and realized that the phone signal is much weaker than my Iphone 4s. I work way out in the country running heavy equiptment and working cattle most the time by my self. I really need a phone for potential emergencies. I went into the ATT store where I bought it and they told me there is nothing I could do. It had been 2-3 weeks since I bought it so I was stuck with it. Now it has been a few months and I am basicly without a phone when I am at the farm.
The first couple of times I went to the store to complain they told me the last time that a tower was going into operation soon near my farm. I tried to do a search on that and even called ATT and they wont confirm one way or the other as to the tower. I have owned IPhones every since they came out and have been happy with them.
Now a couple of weeks I installed the IOS 7 update and now the phone freezes up all the time. I have have had a plumbing business for 30 years in
Victoria, Tx and I intend to tell everyone I know not to buy apple. They have lied and manipulated me into keeping this phone past the time I can return it.
And I cant use it where I need it most. I called ATT about the freezing and they told me to do a complete backup and restore. That did not do anything except waste a lot of my valuable time and make my life miserable trying to get everything back to the way that I like it.
I guess I am going to have to bite the bullet and just buy another phone because I am locked into a contract for the next two years.
Very dissapointed with Apple and cant wait to be done with them.

The music continued to play with the iPod?
If so, when a call is received while listening to music with the iPod, when the call is answered the music should be paused. When ending the call, the music starts playing again from where is was paused.
There is no automatic mute with notifications for received email or messages while on a call and there is no setting for this.

Nokia C7 freeze problem

Hello. I use Nokia C7. All works fine but often when I surf the web browser, use skype, search updates and doing many other things my Nokia C7 freeze and dont (cant) resart. Only option to restart the phone is remove and insert battery. How to FIX this problem?

This problem has nothing to do with applications added or needing software updates. It is purely a hardware problem, there seems to be a fundamental flaw with the design of Nokia phones, and it is very disappointing that they are not more honest about the problem.
My Nokia C7 seems to freeze frequently when processing CPU intensive processes especially, such as trying to watch videos on the BBC iplayer or Youtube, but can happen anytime. The pattern seems to be with these phones (and the N8) that these freezes happen quicker and quicker as time goes on. It is just not good enough to say take the battery out, which is the ONLY way to reboot the phone, do other phone users of different manufacturers have to do this? Not in my experience.
I find it incredible that Nokia, with its dwindling share market, can release these phones without having fully tested them properly. You may have gathered that I feel rather disgruntled with Nokia, I have always had Nokia phones but I am now regretting my decision to start a new contract with this phone. I like it and the features, but what point is there in giving you applications such as the Navigation and the iplayer for example if you can't use them because of freezing.
I will be sending my C7 off for repair next week, in the hope that they have sorted out their hardware issue, but I say beware to anyone else with this phone. If you have had occasional freezing problems, then they will in all likelihood increase as the internal hardware degrades.

Phone freezes up while trying to download anything greater than 600 KB?

I do frequent web searches for info for my son for school and when trying to dowlnload anything greater than approx 600 KB the phone freezes after dowloading 90-95% and I need to reboot. For example was downloading something that was 881 KB and it froze at 878. Have good reception and XEV is what I am receiving on. Are there any solutions to this problem or am I just trying to do too much. There are no graphics involved just text. Thanks

First things first. Let us see how much free space - also called available "storage" - you have on your hard disk.
From the Apple menu select "About This Mac", then click on "More info", then click on "Storage" (at the top of the little window). It should tell you "xxx free out of yyy", that's how much free space you have. There is also a cute graphical depiction of how your storage is being used. Could you report on that please?

P.S. In Activity Monitor it sounds like you were examining how much RAM - also called "memory" - is being used. This is different from "storage" which is what is relevant to installing stuff. (Files, photos, applications, etc. are stored in "storage". The computer takes them out of storage and puts them in memory when it wants to use them.)

5800 Music- how bad is the freezing problem

I am looking at buying the 5800. However after looking at hunderds of reviews and comments it seems to me that users either love or hate their musicexpress with not much inbetween. Knowing that users will often only vent their anger when things go wrong can anyone tell me how bad the freezing problem is that seems to raise its head often with this phone. Are there many people who have this phone not have this problem or is the problem only occur when thier is some conflict with some app.
One other questions is it possible to use the phone to keep reasonabvle amount of notes- I am about to head overseas and want to use the phone also to replace a notebook and diary and also to use its many other functions

I do not have this problem, then again my 5800 has not been working in anyway except perfect ever since I bought it, except for the crashing browser on v30.
Yes you can keep a lot of notes on the phone, Although you may want to find a "note app" like express note to save the notes onto memory card if you plan to use it all too often.

Take out the battery when the phone freezes. Cause...

I have a question. Lets tell that my/a phone freezed. If i/someone take out the battery(without turn off the phone, because it can't turn off) , cause any problem to phone? I have done it untill now, about 5-6 times (i have the N82, about 7 months)

I suspect it does cause problems but I also do the same thing if it hangs and doesn't go off. I ususally give it about 2 minutes to reboot, if it doesn't after the two minutes I take the battery out.
your only other alternative is to wait unjtill the battery dies but that scares me because when my phone freezes the backlight get's VERY BRIGHT and I don't know what other damage that could be causing so I'll live with taking the battery out

I bought an iPhone 5 in New York last December. Now I live in Bogotá, Colombia and I can't find an authorized service center because they said that only if I bought it from a local carrier they attend the warranty.
My iPhone 5 screen is flickering randomly, the phone freezes and the screen turns black… The only way to make it work is to reboot with Home and Lock buttons pressed at the same time. But in the process most of the times it flickers again, and again, and again. I couldn't find a reason to identify what could be causing the issue. Also sometimes when it freezes, some group applications get ungrouped, causing a big mess.
I already tried to restore the phone, remove the SIM, delete all applications with no luck.
Any sugestion? Thanks!

Was this phone ever jalbroken?
If restoring as new, without using a backup, didn't help, there is certainly a hardware problem that only replacement can fix. Your warranty is void unless you return to the USA. Short of that, finding a local independent iPhone repair center would be your only option

Phone function problem

I am using Palm Treo 680 unlocked phone. Recently I have problem with phone function. I can receive phone calls, can send & receive SMS but I can not make a phone call. Also sometime when having an imcoming phone calls, when I press green button to receive these phone calls, the phone freezed. Please instruct me how to solve this problem.

Try a 10 second soft reset by taking out the battery for at least 10 seconds. This allows the device to power off completely, like a shutdown on a PC.
If this doesn't work you may need to perform a hard reset. The hard reset will erase all data on the Treo so make sure you sync to backup your data before the hard reset.

N73 music player problem

I upgraded my firmware to 4.0750.31.2.1 abt 2 weeks back.
When i added new songs and tried to refresh,i could'nt refresh..it keeps running forever...
donno whats the problem....??plz help...and also i found that my firmware is no longer available,they seem to have downgraded it...

It is also occurs in mine,after added hundreds song it will make the music player and the phone itself going to hang.so i prefer to add the songs manually to the playlist.the playlist can be found under folder e:\playlist\ and the format is commonly used .m3u.if you dont want to make your phone freezing,add only few songs once in time and refresh the playlist, and so on.

Phone freezing up

Every since the 4.2.2 update my phone will randomly freeze up and I have to do a battery pull to restart it. never had to do this till the update and my Bluetooth power last half as long as before. it is as though it never disconnects when not in use.

I have that same problem. In a little over a month, it's froze 10+ times. Using it as an alarm clock, it's frozen over night twice and my alarm hasn't gone off and was late for work. I took it to a Verizon store in Michigan and they said there is nothing they could do because Verizon doesn't recognize it as a problem yet. After moving to Virginia, I went to a store in Richmond and they said the same thing. They may be able to switch it out but that would just give me the same phone and problems. This doesn't help me because I have a corporate phone and don't have a choice to change anything. Asked the IT at work and they can't do anything until my phone upgrade at the end of November.
I have been doing random things when it freezes. I've been talking on the phone, charging or not charging. or while opening an app. The little clock on the notification line will actually be different from large clock on the lock out screen. I can't unlock it. It will say it's charging with the % but the little battery won't have the lightning bolt in it. I've pulled the battery out countless times. I've even done a factory reset and that still hasn't helped. Verizon hasn't been much help either. I can't wait to get rid of this phone. Or at least get some type of help (which seems highly unlikely).

Video/film conversion freezing problem during play...

i was wondering can anyone help me. i have been trying to transfer films to my n97mini using the ovi package. it seems to convert ok and transfer but when i try to play the films on my phone they all seem to freeze at the 25min to 27min mark during playback, but the sound keeps playing.

Hi I have experienced the same video playback freezing problem. This occurred after installing the latest phone os upgrade (N97) . Before this I had no video freeze problems but many memory related issues. In my view what has happened is that memory that was prevoiusly allocatedto video support has been reassigned to address the other memory related issues.. I have also tried to use the video conversion software contained within the PC Suite software and although the video gets converted and copied onto the phone successfully, the video does not work. I dont believe this is a codecs issue as this should be sorted out by the converter utility.. Can you please fix this as soon as possible and issue another os upgrade, preferably one that works on Windows Vista!

Phone Freezes

I installed the accuweather app from Blackberry World on my torch 9800 running the latest version of OS 6. After the reboot, when I tried to open the application my phone rebooted. I went to uninstall it in blackberry world and the phone froze. So I just figured I would hide the application and not use it. However, even not running the applicaiton my phone freezes after 2 minutes. The only resolution is a battery pull, which then buys me another 2 minutes. I tried using blackberry desktop to fix the problem but the phone freezes as soon as it connects to blackberry desktop.
When I say the phone freezes I should clarify. I get the spinning clock symbol and thats it. It ran for 25 minutes before the last battery pull. Help! any suggestions would be helpful.

I recommend that you attempt to boot into Safe Mode:
KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode
It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, see what happens.
If the behavior ceases, then attempt to remove the app while in Safe Mode.
But if the behavior continues in Safe Mode, then you may need to consider more drastic actions -- WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload, and the "Bare Bones" OS Reload Process. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup to your PC...please review the Backup link in my auto-sig on this post for instructions.
