N73 product code 0539683 can't update to 4.0726.2....

Why my N73(product code 0539683) can only update to 3.0704.1.0.1??
Both 0539682 and 0539684 can update to 4.0726.2.0.1.
Can anybody tell me why??

May be your phone is branded. It depend on your mobile operator which is the owner of that product code, to recieve and modify FW for their own. May be some conflicts between that operator and Nokia. When it is finish on these procedures then it will be avilable to you as an end user.

I think that you could try to update it in Nokia Service Center or wait until the update will be available. RM-91 has not such version of firmware to update.

Does anyone know what this product code is from? Ive been trying to look around and such but cant seem to find it. I bought my n73 me edition here in Australia. The product code is 0544995

I am sure it has been covered before but I do not find the answer. I am trying to load WinTen from .iso. Although instructions say we do not need a product code, I can not progress beyond the screen asking for one. If I leave it blank

My reply is lengthy, I am afraid. Please bear with me.......
1. MS is holding a big event to day at 9a.m Pacific time. It is possible that a new build of Windows 10 TP is going to be released, or even a Consumer Preview.
So, you might want to find out what is being said in the event first.
2. You are right. product key is not needed when one installs the Windows 10 TP.
That said, here are the generic product keys for Enterprise version and non-Enterprise version.......

Can't update E61 (prod code 0538289) to firmware v...

Hi,
I've been trying to update my E61 phone (prod code 0538289) to the latest v3 firmware build for over 3 weeks now.
The phone came factory flashed with firmware v2 and would like to take advantage of the enhanced SIP capabilities present in v3.
At first NSU game me a message that no update is available but I can reflash to the same version. After several attempts all I get is that no updates are available.
Can anyone help?

For your product code there is no update available. Generally, you can only update phones which are not branded by a provider. I guess you bought a branded phone from a phone company. You have to go to your phone company to have the firmware updated. Branding and support for the branded firmware is generally from the company you got the phone from. Nokia Service Centers in your country may also have the branded firmwares for your provider.

I've just input my product code into the Nokia Device software update site and it says 'Sorry, there is no software available for your product code'. Can anybody explain this?

A SWAP product code is a generic code that is applied after the main board of the phone is replaced. What should happen is the Nokia Care should re-program the original Product Code to the new board but they don't always do this. Contact your Nokia Care centre again and insist that you have a SWAP code and require them to update your phone for you because you are not able to do so yourself with a SWAP code.

it has been out for a while, for other product codes, perhaps not yours yet or do you have a branded/locked phone to the network? that might be the reason why you can't update. if your phone is unlocked unbranded then it is a matter of time for your product code to receive the update. i updated mine few weeks ago with no issues.

I was just checking the replacement for my previous product code 0548364
My replacement does not have a product code ??
the only 6 figure number is an "item" number starting 0027 is this a new product code???

So I would guess it has been swapped like for like except the colour although the case was changed as I have the graphite not deep plum so I would assume 0548364 is the code so this would be as good a guess as looking in shops!

Last year I bought Microsoft Office for my Mac. This year I bought a Macbook Pro, but I moved to Vietnam before I could download Microsoft. I don't have the disk, but I have the product code. Can I still download it free of charge? I'm not sure what version I would have bought of microsof, but it would have been the newest version as of September 2011.

I have several issues with the N73 OS example cant delete emails and frequent crashes I checked with the update software and read this board so I hope some one can advice me of a updater to fix this small but annoying issues.

If your problems are so severe you should either get over to an NSP and do the update tyhere (You'll get V2.0628.0.0.3 at first and there's a huge chance that you can then update to v3.0368.0.0.1 from there) or just go over to your reseller and claim warranty. I have never yet had any of the problems you pointed out. Just today, I couldn't get my phone out of the Offline mode (first time since I've had it) and had to reset it using *#7370#, which means I had to restore a back-up for it... But because I knew this was to happen just CREATED a backup first, so that no data would be lost at all. However, if such a thing happens again I might go and claim warranty as well...

I can't update to Belle (product code 059B288)

I'm N8 owner with the motherboard swap code 059B288. I can't update my device to Belle by using Nokia Suite. Don't tell me i have to bring it to nokia care center for update. Getting defective first batch phone isn't my problem. Please let unlucky owner like me can update the phone firmware.

Also if ther is a letter in your product code then be sure to enter it in upper case.

That's very interesting. I would never thought product code was burnt into the chip. I'll try the OTA option once the latest firmware becomes available;that's only after I read about everyone else's experiences first. I do understand it's desirable to do the full firmware update through OVI suite,but does it really make that much of a difference? I have severe problems with wireless LAN and VoIP. WLAN is very unreliable and the connection drops constantly. I still haven't been able to connect to the authentification server for VoIP which is probably also connected with the WLAN issue.
I downloaded the latest version 1.1.45en of the Nokia Software Updater, connected my E60 with the cable and tried to update the software but it said that there was no new version available. I could read on these forums that there IS a newer version 2.x than my "1.0610.02.15 12-04-06 RM-49" which is said to fix a lot of WLAN and VoIP issues.
So I urgently need this new firmware to be able to use my phone for what I actually bought it: wireless Internet and Voice-over-IP.
I bought mine from from a known online shop in Germany without any branding or locks. I don't understand why Nokia makes it so hard for users to update their genuine Nokia mobile which was not bought from a strange bazaar or so...
Please add my product code to the list for allowed phone updates.
