N73 - Restore from Memory card option missing afte...

Hello,
I re-installed the software on my N73 today morning as it had become slow. Before doing this, I backed up all my important data into the memory card.
After installation, when I tried to restore the data, I found that the "Restore from Memory Card" option is no longer available on the menu list!!! The only options currently available are
Remove mem card
Backup phone mem
Format mem card
Set Password
Memory details
Help and
Exit.
I removed the battery, removed the memory card, restarted the phone, but nothing works!!!
Someone  help me in resolving this problem pls. All my valuable data is in the memory card.

Still no clue what happened.. But could not wait for miracles to happen anymore.. Rebuit the phone. Fortunately 99% of data / apps I need could be resynched from Outlook..

  • N76 - Restore from memory card

    Hi all
I dropped my old N76 and knackered the battery housing so I went out and bought a replacement new N76 handset. I backed up all the data from the old phone onto the memory card. I then inserted the memory card into the new N76 and performed a "restore from memory card".. And now I am getting a "phone start up failed contact the retailer".. Is there anyway I can get this phone working again without taking it to the retailer?
Why did this happen in the first instance?

    I love my N76

I take it all back. I don't think it has anthing to do with firmware versions. Before I updated the firmware on the old phone a few months back, I did a phone back-up to the memory card, I then downloaded and installed the latest firmware, then restarted the phone and restored from memory card. It all worked fine. The backup was created on a older FW version and restored on a newer FW version, so if it worked fine then, it should now too.
I think it may have something to do with the product code. The old phone has code of 0550463 and the other handset is 0550284. But surely, that shouldn't make a difference? I don't see why it should matter?
I thinks I am missing something here..

  • Cannot restore from memory card

    Hi all
I have had a lot of problems with my phone and decided to do a hard reset. I wasn't able to back up all my information via PC Suite as the connection kept going, so I backed it all up to my memory card. The phone is now working OK (including connecting to PC Suite) but I can't see the option to restore the information (calendar and contacts) from my memory card to my phone. I know it should be in File Manager, Memory Card, Options, but the option simply isn't there- I can either remove my memory card, or back up my phone to the memory card which as it has no information on it I don't want to do!
    Any ideas please?
    Thank you

    Hi DRMOO,
Thank you for your post and welcome to the forums!
You did not mention the phone model you are using, so I cannot give you any specific instructions.  Have you checked your memory card for a folder titled "backup" or similar? Contents of the folder may be hidden on your phone's file manager, but you should be able to see the backup file if you connect the phone to your computer in mass memory mode.  If the folder does not exist or it is indeed empty, it is possible that your backup was not successful and your data is lost.
Let us know how you get on,

  • Can I use Restore From Memory Card to clone E72

    Hi
I have two E72s, both have the exact same firmware 091.004. Can I use the "Back Up phone Memory" feature to transfer everything (apps + settings + data) from one E72 to another? I just want to switch to another E72 this way:
    1. On the 1st E72, back up phone memory using File Manager.
    2. Move the SIM card and memory card from the 1st E72 to the 2nd one.
    3. On the 2nd E72, restore phone memory from the backup on the memory card using File Manager.
Will it allow me to clone everything (like an image) to another E72? Is it officially supported?
I tried once, some things were missing such as Opera Mini not found, Nokia Evolve theme not enabled, profile settings not applied etc.
Is there a way to clone everything to another E72?
    Thanks heaps.

  • Delete from memory card after import

    Hi,
I'm a fresh Lightroom newbie, and I am missing how to delete pictures from a memory card as I am importing them into Lightroom. This seems a glaringly obvious feature, so it must be hiding somewhere.
The only options I can see in the "Import Photos" dialog are
    - Copy photos to a new location and import
    - Copy photos as Digital Negative (DNG) and import
There doesn't seem to be an option to delete files after import, just various ways to eject the card.
I've found one way if I choose "Import Photos from Disk" while in Lightroom, there I have a Move option, but why not from device? Every other photo importer has this.
    Thanks,
    Zak

Thanks for your responses. I'll go ahead and use "Import photos from disk" and change to my card reader. I personally had no problems in my years reading & immediately deleting files from memory cards. I had a few instances where I inadvertently deleted a fresh imported picture on the computer, I used undelete utilities on the card in these cases.
That said, I still think it would be a good feature. If the users want to do it (2 years of questions), just let them.

  • Importing contacts from memory card

Have recently got new 5800 after mine got wet. The new one is slightly different and I have put my memory card from old one into new phone.
I can't seem to find the right route to import my numbers off my memory card.
I'm sure the card is not corrupted as it had all my music on which automatically transfered when I opened real player.

file manager>double click the memory card>option>copy contacts>from memory card...
this is how i remembered doing it.

  • I cannot find my pictures in iphoto after downloading and delating from memory card....

I downloaded my pictures from memory card, and once it was done, iphoto asked me if I wanted to keep the pictures into the memory cart, I pressed no, and now I cannot find my pictures anywhere... Is there a way to find them back ?

    Hard to say
    Are they in last import?
do not use your memory card until you resolve this - you may want to use software like Media Recover to recover the images on the card
You can try Back up your iPhoto library, Depress and hold the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - rebuild your iPhoto library database
For the future a best practice to is to never have any computer program (including iPhoto) delete the photos from the card but to import the photos and keep them and then after at least one successful backup cycle has completed and then reformat the card --  I use three very large (32 GB) cards in rotation so I do not reformat for typically a year or more giving me one more long term backup of my photos

  • Transfering pictures from memory card to computer

Re: Transfering pictures from memory card to computer

    Here’s my question,
I have a new HP Photosmart 7520e all in one. I put my memory card in the slot but the printer screen does not show my computer as a destination option.  I'm using Windows 7.  Nothing at the computer end acknowledges that the card is in the printer slot. The computer is wireless hook up. How do I transfer pictures from the card to the computer?
Thanks support team. My old HP Printer pooped out on me and I just got this new one hooked up. I have a card full of pictures I need to move into “My Pictures” but so far, my new HP doesn’t want me to. Stainless909

My computer does NOT have a card slot or I would have use it to start with. Next: This sentence doesn't make any sense to me. (youyr answer) "You can map the card to network drive but why you have to do that hard ?"  I don't understand "maping net works".
All my previous (4) HP printers had card slots (as this one does) but when I put my card in the computer would read it and ask me if I  was ready to import them and I picked the destination ... click on "import" and it happened. This one.. nothing happens on the computer but the printer screen gives me a choice of destinations (snapfish & usb cord) but does not offer an option of moving them to the computer. Are you not understanding my problem????  Would this be better resolved with a phone call? 951 769-8420 Thanks Bruce aka... Stainless909

  • Confusion re: photostream, import from memory card, events, etc.

confusion re: photostream, import from memory card, events, etc.
Up until a few weeks ago, my travel-photo-handling went like this:
Each night, I download photos to my iPad for safekeeping. They, of course, wind up in Photostream.
When I return home, I connect my camera card to my iMac (where I have my iPhoto library), and I can "see" the photos on my memory card - the photos which, although in Photostream, I have not yet manually downloaded.
    I select and ownload them.
New Events are created in my Library automatically, as I have my preference set to Autosplit Events.
This week, I came home from a trip during which I had downloaded to iPad during my time away.
I connected my memory card to the iMac.
iPhoto did not "see" any photos to import - as far as iPhoto was concerned, those photos were already in my Library.
I had iPhoto show all photos on my card, selected the photos from my trip (I shot over 1000) and clicked "Import Selected"
    iPhoto says they're duplicates.
However, the photos have NOT been downloaded manually and there are NO Events in my Library for those days.
Note: yeah, they're in Photostream, but IN THE PAST - and I mean literally up until 3 weeks ago - the photos have ALWAYS been "visible" and importable even if in Photostream, as long as I had not yet manually downloaded to the computer.
So my question, I guess, is multi-part:
What changed in iPhoto and/or Photostream in the past couple of weeks?
Why are Photostream photos suddenly considered to be the same as the photos on my card which have not yet been manually downloaded to the computer?
What the heck is going on?
I hate having duplicates, but I also hate being confused by something that used to be really easy, then - with Photosream - became annoying, and is now simply perplexing and sometimes imcomprehendable.

Check iPhoto's Photo Stream preference pane to see if the highlighted checkbox in the screenshot below is checked.  If it is then all photos taken by the iPad are automatifdally being imported into your library.
Go the the Events mode and check the View ➙ Sort menu option to verify where new Evens will be located, at the top of the window or the bottom.  Then check to see if your PS pictures are there.
As a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library.  Connect your iPad and import all photos.  Dismount the iPad, close and reopen the test library, connect the iPad again and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it?
If it does'nt then your current library is damaged and needs to be repaired.

  • How 2 move the message from memory card 2 phone me...

did anyone know in nokia N73 how 2
move the message from memory card move
to phone memory???? did anyone know
how 2 move it??? teach me plz.....

Here is an easy way to move your messages from Phone Memory to Memory Card or from Memory Card to Phone memory In Nokia models.
1- Install latest version of Nokia PC Suite and connect your set.
2- Open Nokia Communication Centre. (Select Phone Memory or Memory Card from which you want to move messages to other memory)
3- Select all messages in a single folder (Inbox/Sent Items or from My Folders) and click on file> export. This will create *.csv file.
4- Download NBU Explorer 1.8 from http://www.soft82.com/download/windows/nokia-nbuexplorer/  (You must have installed Windows Installer 3.1 and Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 to run NBU Explorer. You can easily download these from Microsoft Site,)
5- Open *.csv file in NBU Explorer and click File > Export All. (Your all messages will be exported as *.vmg files.)
6- Disconnect and connect your phone again in Nokia PC Suite.
7- Now set your target memory in your phone for messages.
8- Open Communication Centre and Select your desired folder then click on file > Import messages by selecting multiple messages *.vmg files. (You don’t have to import messages one by one but you can import all messages in a single folder at once)
9- And you have done it.
10- You can import *.csv list in Nokia PC Suite rather *.vmg files, but in this case, all the spaces (blank spaces) in your messages will be lost. All the text of your messages will be merged to a single line. So exporting via NBU Explorer is recommended.
11- Any query?  Contact me at ********@yahoo.com.

  • Photos did not download and I deleted them from memory card. how to recover?

Photos did not download to computer.  I deleted them from memory card.  Is there a way to retrieve them from memory card.

If all you did was delete them it should be relatively easy to recover them BUT don't use the card until you've done it. Even after a format it's fairly easy but not after re use because you write over them. For more help read the replies here.

You will need a card reader because I don't think it can be done in camera using the usb cable.

Icloud or itunes backup, only backs up app data, not the app itself.
so if you restore as new, then there is no app data on your phone, you start out new...
