N73 SMS Mesaging Delays

Hi All, I have an N73 Nokia Mobile Phone and I cannot believe how long it takes to send an SMS message. It is consistent and takes over a minute to send. Do I have a setting wrong somewhere ?
Please help it is driving me nuts !!

download sms accelerator and see if that helps, restart the phone after installation

N73 - SMS Editor Bug

Hi!
I have a N73 ME with Firmware Version 3.0638.0.0.30 (It looks like Nokia wont ever release a newer Firmware for my Product Code 0544952).
When i write a SMS and press 3x "0" to get an line break the phone brings me right back to the standby screen - but only if i confirm the line break by pressing the joystick to the right.
"0", "0", "0", "joystick right"
When i confirm the line break by pressing pushing the joystick to the left everything is fine.
Can anyone confirm this? Is this still the case with newer Versions?

N73 sms tone stopped working

once again the sms tone on my N73 has stopped working AGAIN. My phone does not inform me at all that I have a new sms. Inorder to check I have to go into the messages section of the menu to check. Here is what I have tried
- Soft reset (settings->restore factory defaults)
- Firmware upgrade (i have the latest version now)
- Hard resets (using some code I found)
- Changing profile settings with different tones
- Changing profiles all together
With the exception of the firmware upgrade all of the above have been tried several times.
Any more suggestions. I am sick of this phone and I am about to throw it away. How is this so hard to fixed

Since you have did, that would normally solve the software issue if there is. It is highly provable that you got an intermittent hardware issue, a visit to Nokia Care Center would be a good idea.

N73 SMS and Adobe

Hello! I've got couple of questons.
1. Dont know after what but now when i connect my phone via data cable or BT. Adobe photoshop album starter ed. does nog connect with my phone, and i cant get pics, vids.
Trough if i use it with card reader, everything is ok. (tryed reinstalling Adobe and N73 drivers) Not helping.
2. How can i copy all of my SMS to my PC (from N73). Tryed Lifeblog but it does not copy all. Most of them but not all. No ideas why. Maybe thare is any settings i have to make?

Long SMS/TXT Delays When Messaging With Non-ATT Users?

Is anyone else noticing a VERY long delay getting TXT/SMS responses back from friends that are NOT on the ATT network?
My buddy is on Nextel - He sent me a message about 45 minutes ago and I still haven't gotten it. I've noticed other delays (usually around 10-15 minutes) with other friends as well.

I'm having the same problem and I asked a question on here but there seem to be bigger problems at the moment. I hate assuming about anything...but maybe the text problem will clear up as soon as they get everyone activated and squared away...ya know?
Some of my messages get to people...and other times, it will skip over one message but deliver the next one...to the same person!
Who knows...anyone?

N73 - SMS Guard conflicts with Lifeblog

I've installed SMS Guard on my N73, and everything was working fine...UNTIL I thought I'd look at what LifeBlog app on my phone was all about... since then, SMS Guard has stopped working...
Does anyone know what the problem is and a work around... I can't delete Lifeblog, or remove it... No the Apps Manager does n't remove it... it appears that Lifeblog has modified something with the messages that crashes SMS Guard when you run the Manage SMS feature.
Appreciate any help... don't want to take the drastic step of resetting phone, just need to get things back to the way they were before Lifeblog made life a pain!!!

Thanks for the sympathy... Lifeblog obviously has its place in the world on Nokia, but the way these developers write software, that completely **bleep**s other things really ****** me off...
I'm using SMS Guard to hide personal messages... but since Lifeblog took over.. its just not worked... Is there anyway to hide personal messages on the phone, but still be able to upload them onto the pc...I've looked through the folders on the phone memory, can't even find the messages are kept... can only see them in pc suite...

What is the maximum limit of recipients?

i am not sure abt the capacity.
i read it somewhere like it can handle infinite(memory dependent) contacts and groups...

N73 SMS Accelrator Link Required

I am trying to download the SMS accelarator, but there it is not allowing me too, been through evey N73 page can't find the link or file anywhere.
Please can someone tell me where the file is exactly or put step by step instructions on how to get to it.
It asked for some serial number from inside the phone, and tells me there are no updates available, but its is crashing the phone for 50 seconds or more when sending sms messages.

N73 SMS accelerator

Hi, I have a N73 (on O2) and I really need to install the SMS accelerator to improve its speed.
I tried to download it directly on the phone from nokia.com. I could do that but then I got a msg: the "Installation of 'N73_acc.... .sis' is not supported".
What did i do wrong ?
The connection to the website was obviously fine, the file is the right one for the N73 (it's the one on the nokia website, in the pages dedicated to the N73 !).
The set up on my phone appeared fine (able to accept 'All', instead of 'Signed')
Can someone help me ?

even I had similar situation. What you can do is go to FileManager and search for this file it should be under install and try to install from there or from Application Manager but for some strange reason it cant do on runtime.

SMS messages delayed in Group Chat

I bought a new iPhone 5s 2 months ago and have since often had issues receiving SMS messages on time in a Group Chat. 4 of us in the chat have iPhones, 1 person has an Android, but it was never an issue before buying the 5s. It also happens when I have a perfect signal. Hours later, I will get a whole slew of messages that were sent earlier in the day, so they are somehow getting stuck and it keeps happening. This has not been an issue for other iPhone users in the Group Chat. Does anyone know what might be causing this and how it can be fixed?

I've gotten used to the cute Java smileys. I've just gotten the N73 and it's missing those cute faces or even the simpler version of them. Is there any way I can download smileys? or a shortcut to their symbols?

you press the "1" key 3 times to write :-) on the N73. thats a shortcut enough for me. ... and :-) appears. how easier can it get

N73 SMS problems,send/recive

I have a Nokia N73, and can't send or recive messages from the phone, but when i put the SIM-card into an other phone, I have no problem y sending or reciving messages, anyone who have had this problem or know what to do?

Be sure to backup your phone for it will reset to factory default & erases most of the files:
Format Nokia Phone:Works in most symbian
Apart from usual keyin *#7370#
Or you could try full format:
1. Switch off the phone.
2. Hold down the following three buttons: Green (the call answer button), * button, and '3' button.
3. While holding these buttons, press the power button and switch on the phone.
4. When the message 'Formatting' appears on the screen, release all of the buttons.

9210i SMS retreval from PC

Is there any body that know how to retrieve SMS mesages from a 9210i phone to my PC using a cable or other conection.

i think it has only just become possible for symbian based phones to transfer sms from the phone to the pc. this would only be for the very latest phones compatible with pc suite 6.6 etc. I dont think this will work with the 9210x

Sms to e-mail

I was wondering if there is anyway of sending an sms mesage to an email address using J2ME and midlets??

Hi,
I do not really see any point in doing this, why not just send a message directly to the email address? If you want to do this you will have to have a SMS gateway, e.g. GSM modem with SIM card connected to a PC, you send the SMS to the phonenumber of that modem from J2ME and then in the message there will be an email address and the server software will interpret it and send it to that email address. Just like when you use the feature provided by the operator. Your phone must support messaging API though.
