N73 with memory card

I have a few weeks a N73 with 2Gb of memory. Now it happens several times that the phone doesn't recognize the memory card anymore. Sometimes it will recognize it when I replace the card but sometimes I have to reboot the phone.
Does anyone have the same problem? What did you do with this?
I have also another problem. Sometimes during calling I hear suddenly a lot of noice and my caller cannot hear me anymore. It looks like a bug in the firmware. Does someone have the same problem? What did you do about it?
Kind regards,
Roland.

I dont know, but i bought a n73 and i also used it for a few weeks but now it doesnt recognize the memory card.
I cant find my Photos, music, and videos..
What should I do??
I hope theres someone that can help me...

  • Problem with memory card slot on nokia c5 03

    Sir,
    I have a Nokia C5 03 from the last 8 months.....
    Working very well.
Recently, my memory card stopped working.
I thought that there might be a problem in the memory card and bought a new one.
Even though i inserted new card in my phone, i am getting the same error.
In file manager it is displaying as "Memory card Corrupted."
I have checked the new memory card by inserting in to another phone which was working normally.
There i have even formatted the new memory card and again inserted into my c5.
Then also i am getting the same error message........
Can any one suggest me what to do in this regard??????
    Thanks in ADVANCE.

    Hi,
    Welcome to the forum!
Have you also tried inserting the old memory card to another phone as well? What happened after inserting it to another phone? If it's working properly with another phone, the memory card slot of the C5-03 might have an issue so you should bring it to the repair facility to have it checked.
You can search for the nearest repair facility in your area from this link: http://www.nokia.com/in-en/care-point-finder/
    Hope this helps.

  • Has anyone had a problem with memory cards switching the file from EOS to EKS?

My camera memory cards have suddenly switched from an EOS file to an EKS file and are no longer readable.  I don't know if the problem is my computer, my card reader, my memory cards, or my camera.  It doesn't seem probable that two cards would become corrupted or go bad at the same time.  I have two large capacity cards and two new high capacity cards that I haven't tried yet, but I'm afraid to try to use any of my other cards until I know what is going on with these two.   The camera I'm using a 5D Mark II.  Can anyone please help!   This is a serious problem for me!
Thank you to everyone for your help and assistance!
    Best regards,
    Windsails

Lightroom should recognize your camera (assume it's LR3 or later) automatically without pointing it to the DCIM directory. The files you are referring to is system file I think and not the photos; thus OS cannot read the file.
Do you have a card reader? For some reason, if you connect your camera into Lightroom directly, sometimes LR doesn't show the preview of your images. Instead you'll get ? next to a gray box. If you don't have a card reader, just plug your camera in, ignore the ? and the gray box (this is LR problem, not your camera), then import them anyway. You should see your test shot once it's done importing.

  • Pearl with memory card works until synch with desktop mgr

I have a Pearl 8130 and a 4gb MicroSD HC card.  The card has been formatted and I used the Roxio software from desktop mgr to move stuff to the card.  All was good.  Now each time I connect the pearl and sync with the desktop software, once I disconnect from the laptop, the phone doesn't recognize the memory card.  I have to "add" it each time and then it works fine.  Any idea why my connecting to the desktop software would somehow make the phone no longer see the memory card?  I searched in the support forums and nothing came up.
    Desktop Mgr ver 4.3.0.17, smartphone v 4.3.0.97
Media card support On, Mass storage mode On, Auto enable Mass Storage Mode Yes, Total space 3.7GB, Free space 3.4GB
    Thanks.

hi Sanj, you may try to delete everything form the memory card with a card reader under windows, or also may try to format the memory card to fat32, and then try use it again with your phone. I recommend to format the card with the phone after it started successfully.

  • N73 Password Memory card

I have updated my phone wiht the latest update but it is asking for a password which i ahve not set please help

I bought my N73 about 15 months ago from eBay as new and for most of that time it has been a loyal and indispensible companion. Recently it started switching its self off, usually over night. Checking out the Nokia site, I was advised to get the latest software update, which I did, also at the same time updating the conectivity software for my PC. I followed the instructions, backed up my phone, installed the new firmware (V4.0735.3.0.2), restored my phone settings so that my address book was full again. At no point was I advised that if my 2Gb memory card was password protected and I didn't know the password, the card would effectively be useless. I appreciate that a catch 22 situation has reared, either keep the card or update the firmware as I don't know the password to the card. If I had been warned, I could at least have saved the details from the card to my PC.
Next course of action? Go to some flakey site that is supposed to be able to read and reset the password setting. What's the point of having a password in the first place?
    Or is there another way?

  • Not able to Delete the data from Memory card

    Hi all,
I have bought a new nokia 3120 classic.it is working fine but recently i have received some data from my friend.
Then suddenly the problem begins like.. when i take a photo.. i am getting error like the image is not in the format and i am not able to save that. And also, the main problem is I am unable to delete the data from my memory card.
Every time after deleting i am getting the same data.
Why this happening..is it because of VIRUS?? If so how to delete the virus from my memory card??
When i contacted the nokia care people in bangalore they are saying that they can offer the service of formatting the memory card??
Except that my Phone is working fine..the problem is with Memory card!!!
    Please help me...

you can actually format your memory card first see if you have such option on your phone to format directly from the phone if that is not possible you can always use a card reader and reformat your card using your pc. just understand that all data from that memory card will be lost unless you do a back up of it. if you do a back up and restore the data to the memory card after reformat you might get the same issue so be careful as to what you will decide to do with the data from the card. once you format your card it should all be good unless the card is corrupted itself which can also happen. but first try with the reformat and see if it works out for you.

  • C3-01 Memory Card

I purchased this phone 2 months ago and have had a problem with the memory from new.  I can only use the phone memory.  I tried 2 different memory cards 1gb and a 4gb (which was brand new).  The phone keeps telling me the cards are not formatted and gives the option to format, selecting yes the phone tries to format but is not succesfull. It then reverts back to phone memory.  Under memory status it states memory card not available.
Emailed Nokia who told me to try a soft reset and a hard reset if the the soft reset does not resolve the issue.  Neither helped.  Weeks later a software update become available so I updated the software and still not able to use memory card.
Contacted Orange my provider who simply read the discussions on here and advised I purchase a Class 10 memory card.  Which I did and guess what....still the same!  All three cards work perfectly in my old handset.
Has anybody else suffered this problem?  Any suggestions how I can get the damn phone to recognise the memory card?  Or do I need to go back to the Orange salesmen and insert it somewhere painfull
Any help would be gratefully received.
    Thanks
    Neil.

Hi, Sorry to hear your memory carsd issue.
If you are using the Nokia supported memory card, and it does not work, possibly  there is something wrong  with memory card reader or hardware.
So i would suggest to visit Nokia Care Point in your area.

  • Autostart when a memory card is detected?

    Hello,
I have a rather annoying problem with memory card auto-detection.
I have "When a memory card is detected:" set to "do nothing" under "File handling" in Preferences.
Unfortunately, Lightroom starts whenever it detects a memory card (does not show the import dialog though).
It might seem like a minor issue, but what makes it a real problem is that I have a phone in synch with my pc. And each time my phone connects to the pc via bluetooth, Lightroom pops up. I checked all the Lightroom settings, and I was unable to find anything that would solve this "autorun"...
I would appreciate your help, cause I'm going crazy when Lightroom starts whenever I get home (heh), restart my computer, restart my phone or even when a phone temporary loses connection to the pc when I'm just walking around the place. Argh...
    Thanks in advance,
    Dani.

Could be that the Downloader has not installed correctly. Locate the Downloader Installer .exe file and double-click it. After installing you should see a small downloader icon in the task bar.
However, my opinion for what it's worth, is to leave the thing alone. Many, myself included, find it a real pain in the butt when LR opens every time a CF card is inserted. Some choose to download their images to already established folders using Windows Explorer rather than use LR to download the images - there have been reports of corrupted files when doing it this way although I myself have never experienced it. You may of course decide that you want to open the images in another programme (say MS RAW Viewer) just to have a look, at least the way your system is running now you have an option - the other alternative which you desire gives no option at all - LR opens on insertion of a CF card, full stop. If you want to do anything else then you first have to close it down. Not really a pain, more of a nuisance.

  • Memory card problem on 5230

Hi, I have a problem with my 5230, it often display a message like, 'Unsafe to remove memory card before you close the application first' or something like that, whereas I'm not remove the card. I must restart the phone to get back the access to the memory card. What's wrong?
    thnks for all help!

    jj5230
For what it's worth there can be issues with memory card in 5230, for example if I remove memory card from device and add media using card reader and then replace and reboot it quite often crashes; have to start device without memory card and then insert it; I do have a number of applications installed upon memory card so if try to remove it get the message that application running etc.
Have you tried alternative memory card or tried re-formatting it?

  • Memory card problems please help!

Ok I've never quite been able to figure this one out, and I figure this is the forum to come to to try and fix it. I have a Canon photo printer with memory card slots I've been using for a while now as a stand alone. Now that I have my iMac I decided to hook it up but here's the problem. When I try to delete selected pictures from a memory card I can't because it's read-only, and I can't change it to read-write. If fact when I connected my camera to my old Windows PC I couldn't do this either. iPhoto asks me after the import if I want to blank out the memory card, but I want to keep certain photos on the card. I just want to go in and delete files like any other USB drive. I tried "Get Info" but there is no way there to change to read-write. This is more of a problem with the memory cards than my printer or iPhoto, but if anyone knows a way around this I'd really appreciate it.

... also I've checked the little write-protect tabs, I have 2 SD cards and both are not set to lock and neither lets me A. delete anything or B. put any files back onto them. In my experience it seems that on both Mac and PC they have tried to over-simplify the process of managing digital photos by forcing you to use applications rather than learn simple file management(i.e. cut, copy and paste). I don't know why photos have to be different from every other file type. If I put in my Memory Stick Duo in my PSP and connect with USB I can delete and move whatever I want just like I've always been able to, even photos. It seems that as soon as an SD memory card comes in contact with a camera(mine's a Canon PowerShot) the only way to put anything onto it is to take a picture. Again if anyone knows how to change photo memory cards to read-write status it would be fantastic.

  • 6300 - memory card issue

    Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could give me the idiots guide to putting new memory card into my nokia 6300 please. I have bought a SanDisk 2gb micro SD card but when I put it into the phone, go to gallery and the memory card icon it comes up with 'memory card not formatted' and then 'operation failed'. I can not find any option anywhere on the phone to format the card. When I click on options on the memory card icon it gives me all the options apart from the one to format the card. I still have my old card which works when I put it back in and has the option to format so I really am stuck for what I am doing wrong.
I hope someone is able to help this dumb blonde!!
    Cheers x

try formatting the card with a memory card reader.and then use in 6300.

  • HOW TO FIX 5610XM Memory Card problem

Without long introduction I just want to say how to do that, because it is annoying that you just can't use memory card
So it's really simple, you have problem with memory card it self OR your back cover.
Back cover has a small plastic thingy witch let's memory card to be readed, If it somehow fails to do it's job, then you have to do it by your self useing something like a isolated wire, to put it in that plastic things place, and then put the back cover on it.
I finally can use my memory card so I am really happy, and I hope this will helps for you as well :]

The newer video cards are plug and play.  The only thing that you have to do is install the latest video driver that comes on a DVD with the video card or from the manufacturer's website.
There are two main things to consider when buying a video card:
    1. The length of the card.  It is important for the card to fit into the space provided and have good airflow.
    2. The wattage required to run the card properly.
Because of the age of your computer, I believe that the power supply unit (PSU) is either 250W or 300W.  You can find this information by reading the label on it.  Most of the newer cards require at least 400W to run properly.
One other concern for buying a new video card is, does it require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  I know that the last EVGA video card to work with a standard BIOS is the GT 640.
Here is a guide that will help you understand how to replace a video card or other Expansion cards.
If you are not comfortable with working on a computer it would be advisable to find a certified computer repair shop.  It will cost you more money, but will save possible problems.
