N73ME FW 4.0736.3.2.1 thread removed from here...

OH YEAH!!!
n73ME FW 4.0736.3.2.1 thread removed
What reason? what basis? why?
Honestly, it makes me wonder..
Right now all I can say is "inappropriate language"!!!!!
ALot of inappropriate langauge.. All the colors and letter cases and everyeverything in most langauages too.
hah!
Does Nokia have product Beta-Testing nowadays?

Hello Moee
Two ways to close Music application in N73-ME_4.0736.3.2.1
1-Hiding it(running in background)
2-Purely Exiting(this option comes with the FM-4.0736.3.2.1)
Nokia didn't kill the equilizer as u all discussing about it here
there are only some bugs in the Music application specially with Equilizer
just get that it works fine but making some tricks
choosing the first way of closing application will deal with u as u do before,
before any thing u do in Music application create or actiavate ur setting and just get back to the stand by mode.
going again in Music will show u all the settings set in there relative presets
and choosing the 2nd and starting Music application again also works fine if u do as in first described
but only settings are not shown correctly but take it in mind that they all(default settings and ur presets as well) work fine try to re-actiave them while listening to music
u will notice changes
and remember in computers, things are not purely meant to be completely bug free.

    I recently bought & downloaded Mac OS 10.6.8 — "flash plug-in failure" in SAFARI 5.0.5 now mostly continuous. A user 2wks ago suggested in thread: remove .xpt file from apps library.  I did that and mac was working wonderfully then!
    Now plug in and download failures are awful, as in frequent.  What do I do???  Please help. I am running an iMac 24, that's about 5 years old.

    Hi.. Ms. Bee from Delaware. Its just an opinion.
    I seriously doubt, if 90% of the users have no issues with Safari and feel comfortable using it. There could be something wrong with your statistics here... oh yeah..
    Please try to Google search : "a Flash malfunction Magnet"
    I do agree that, most Adobe flash based programs crash on a Mac. But, its Vimeo's fault to adopt flash.
    The majority of the internet community use flash content/plugins. Unfortunately not HTML5, that Safari is good at performance in comparison to Flash apps.
    10% of the 3rd party internet Enhancers like Ms.Apple Developer should transform the Flash community.

    Weblogic 7Frank,
    You can supply THREAD_DUMP as an option with weblogic.Admin and script
    that out. When you say "and it will output it to standard output" I'm
    a little confussed, the output goes to the server's stdout by default,
    do you mean stdout from where the script is executed?
    ~RyanMy weblogic startup script >> outputs to another log file...when I use the THREAD_DUMP
    option in the weblogic.Admin class, it dumps it to that...However...what I wanted
    was to write a separate script to use weblogic.Admin and output to STDOUT of that
    script....Is that possible.

  • Getting a native thread Id from JMX?

    The Java thread id is available in the java.lang.management.ThreadInfo but there seems to be no way to get the nid for a Java thread - is there any way to do this from Java code?

    Hi,
    Me too required the native thread id from JMX.
    Following are my use case,
    When CPU utilization of a m/c is too high due to a java application, I can get the exact problematic thread by using following command in linux,
    top -b -H -n1 -d1 | head -n 20
    The PID listed in the above command is directly mapped to native id. I can easily identify the problematic trace which causing high cpu by converting PID to HEX and match it in the thread dump. For easy debugging, I would like to high light the problematic thread trace which taken using JMX.
    Is there any way to get native ID from JMX ? or any other work around to get native ID....
    I greatly appreciate your help on the above requirement.
    Thanks,

  • Discussion thread removed, Why?

    Hi
    Yesterday I created a discussion thread, regarding the new advertising standards authority legislation, to which a number of people did present there opinions and thoughts.
    Today all traces of this thread have been removed, it does not appear in any history or my list of discussions created, this points to the thread having been removed. I am therefore left wondering why?
    The tread was not meant to offend, (and did not do so as far as I can ascertain) but generate thoughts and opinions on such legislation, more legislations are to come and simply ignoring them is I think not a valid argument, but definitely something worthy of at least a discussion on the forum, as they will in some way affect almost everyone. If anyone, (possibly a moderator) can please explain why this discussion was removed I would be grateful.
    Paula Z

    Hi
    First, thank you David for clearing this up for me, as I can now post a reply to a few of the points that where raised in the original thread for those interested.
    After some research/questions into what the legislation means for those of us involved in designing/developing web sites, I have received the following information -
    It is not the intention of the ASA, (Advertising Standards Authority) to interfere with legitimate web sites offering legitimate services or products, but to stop those sites advertising services or products that are not regarded as 'genuinely deliverable', (e.g. SEO sites claiming that you will be on the first page of Google, or that having a web site will increase your sales) pirated items, (software, video, etc) or counterfeit goods, (offering products that are not genuine or as advertised).
    Stop the abuse of email marketing campaigns that the targeted person has not signed up to, or has no way of stopping. (similar to that of mail-shots or telephone cold-calling).
    Ensure that all concerned with any form of advertising or offer of services on the internet, act in a considerate and responsible manner to all users of the internet.
    Now to the other points, and these are the result of the 'lack of action' within the web design/development community as a whole to implement changes themselves, notification of possible legislation was indicated by the European community commission 4years ago regarding this, (note: I remember this notification, and I did write about it in a reply to a thread 2 years ago) -
    What constitutes a professional web designer/developer - No official training or qualifications are to be required, nor are any to be expected. But it is to be expected that anyone offering these services should at least have a good understanding and be able to implement to a satisfactory standard, the lessons of the 'Web Standards Curriculum' as appropriate to the services offered. This are now offered, (free of charge) by both Opera at - http://www.opera.com/company/education/curriculum/, and Firefox at - http://www.drumbeat.org/p2pu-webcraft. An Open university course in modern web design/development that includes html5/css3, PHP/MySQL is also now available, a degree in 'media studies' alone is NOT regarded as a qualification or experience in web design/development.
    Professional bodies - Membership to any professional organization is not seen as a qualification, though it is hoped that the community will adopt and enforce via 'peer pressure/user groups' or similar, a professional 'Code of Practice' that can be seen as a standard to which the community as a whole will aspire to uphold.
    Other government departments are also to receive powers to protect the consumer over the coming years. One such is the OFT, (office of fair trading, which does now have the powers required) which is to ensure that action is taken to uphold current legislation regarding the availability of services as defined in the disability's discrimination act and other legislation, they have the powers to remove a web site completely, and enforce a court order that stops the site owner(s) trading under another name, (action will also be taken against anyone who knowingly assisted such infringements of the law).
    O/K, that's the main points I think, any questions, and please Osgood_ no abusive language as I can already hear it from here .

  • How to get a thread dump from Weblogic 9.1

    Hi All,
    Can someone please walk me through how to configure a WLS9.1 server to generate thread dumps. Ideally I'd like to do this via the admin console. I read about the MagicThreadDumpFile property, but can't see where/how to set it.
    Many Thanks
    Stuart

    I only know how to do this in WLS 8.1, but it will likely work in 9.1. On UNIX, you can send a kill -QUIT to the pid and it will dump threads to standard output for the server. You can also use weblogic.Admin THREAD_DUMP (http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs92/admin_ref/cli.html#wp1197887) or whatever is the equivalent in WLST now that weblogic.Admin is deprecated in 9.x. I'm guessing it is the threadDump() method documented at http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs92/config_scripting/reference.html#wp1104314.
    I know of no way to do this through the console, unfortunately.

  • JMS Threads disappear from JNI application

    My application is a combination of C++/FORTRAN/Java which runs on Solaris 5.9. Messages come into the application via a JMS topic (Sonic implementation). I use JNI (JNI_VERSION_1_2) to embed the JVM. I'm able to process incoming messages for a period of time - but then it appears that the JMS threads just 'go away'. I've tried increasing the stack/heap size of the JVM -but the threads still dissappear. Sometimes the threads go away within minutes. Other times it takes hours. I also have been unable to make a correlation between the speed of the messages going into the application and the speed with which the threads dissappear.
    When I enable JNI verbose messages, I see the following messages right before the JMS threads go away:
    [Loaded java/util/ResourceBundle$1.class from /usr/java1.2/jre/lib/rt.jar]
    [Loaded java/net/URLClassLoader$2.class from /usr/java1.2/jre/lib/rt.jar]
    Happy process thread dump:
    [Thread# 1] t@23: "JMS Session Delivery Thread"
    [Thread# 2] t@22: "ClientListener $CONNECTION$ Administrator"
    [Thread# 3] t@21: "ClientSender $CONNECTION$ Administrator"
    [Thread# 4] t@6: "Finalizer"
    [Thread# 5] t@5: "Reference Handler"
    [Thread# 6] t@4: "Signal dispatcher"
    [Thread# 7] t@1: "main"
    [Thread# 8] t@3: <Sync-GC thread>
    [Thread# 9] t@2: <Sync-GC thread>
    Unhappy process thread dump - JMS threads have disappeared:
    [Thread# 1] t@5: "Finalizer"
    [Thread# 2] t@4: "Reference Handler"
    [Thread# 3] t@3: "Signal dispatcher"
    [Thread# 4] t@1: "main"
    [Thread# 5] t@2: <Sync-GC thread>
    Any ideas??? I've tried other versions of Java - but with no success.
    Please help!

  • Threaded Queries from Single static Connection object - Good approach?

    Hi,
    I need to generate a report where I need to query count(1) from over one hundred tables from oracle 10g database. I am not updating or deleting any record.
    My approach is to use a single static connection object and create one thread for each table and capture the result back into a static hashtable.
    But still, I am not getting any substantial performance improvement. Earlier, my report took 40 minutes, when it was non-threaded and now it takes 30 minutes.
    Is there anything more I can do to make my report get the counts faster? Will a connection pool help?

Beneath the hood Oracle turns a count(1) into a count(*) in order to deal with this. Why? Because count(1) is turned into count(*) in order to avoid it being slower (Oracle 7 was the last time count(1) was different). And the reason generally given is because so many people were mistakenly using count(1) thinking it performed better that they decided to put in the "conversion" to fix the silly queries.

  • Threading- Can I call methods from specific threads or from all in a group?

    I've just recently started working with threads. I've done a lot of searching and reading but I haven't seen the specific questions I'm wondering answered. Of course, it's about communication.
    The amount of newly created threads that will exist is indefinite. Sometimes I'll have one, sometimes ten. So I'll just call them t1 - t9. When I create them, I add them to a ThreadGroup - tg.
    This project contains 2 class files, Main and ThreadClass. I'll post all of the code so you can see what I'm doing.
    public class Main {
        public static void main(String[] args) {
            for (int i = 1; i < 10; i++) {
                ThreadGroup tg = new ThreadGroup("tg1");
                Thread t = new Thread(tg, new ThreadClass("t" + i));
                t.start();
    public class ThreadClass extends Thread {
        public ThreadClass(String name) {
            super(name);
        public void run() {
            System.out.println("New Thread - " + getName());
            while (true) {
                try {
                    Thread.sleep(100);
                } catch (InterruptedException e) {
                    System.out.println("Exception: " + e);
        public void printText() {
            System.out.println("Printing text from " + getName());
    }So whenever a new thread is created, it prints "New Thread - [ThreadNameHere]". But I also have printText() in ThreadClass that has not been used yet and that is what I really want to accomplish. Is there a way to call printText() by the thread group (tg1 in this case) so it is executed across all threads that belong to the group? Is there a way to call printText() in a specific thread from my Main class, such as "t3"?
    Thank you for your help!

    Yes, usually you want to implement Runnable, not extend Thread. You're not adding new functionality to Threads or making some kind of more-specific version of them.
    You can get each thread in your ThreadGroup back out into an array by using one of the varients of Enumerate, but nothing stops you from just putting your objects (that implement Runnable) into an ArrayList or any collection of your own that you want to as you make them, and then later iterating over it and calling the method that you want.
    Something like this...
    public class MyThread implements Runnable {
       public void run() { ... }
       public void printStuff() { ... }
    public static void main(String[] args) {
       MyThread a = new MyThread();
       MyThread b = new MyThread();
       ArrayList threadList = new ArrayList();
       threadList.add(a);
       threadList.add(b);
       for(MyThread thread : threadLIst) {
          thread.printStuff();
    }

  • "Safe" delete of Thread class from a Vector

    I need to be able to delete a thread class object from a vector.
    1) Is it safe to do so immedately after calling xyz.stop() ?
    2) If so, does Java clean all the thread stuff up automatically ?
    3) If not, is there something else I should do to clean up?

    The stop method of class Thread is deprecated, however it's still possible to stop this thread. A thread's memory should become available for garbage collection the moment it is no longer executing, and it is no longer being reffered to.
    To stop your thread, you need to set a boolean flag that is available to it to false:
    Thread myThread = new Thread()
         public boolean stopRunning = false;
         public boolean threadComplete = false;
         public void run()
              while(!stopRunning)
                   doSomething();
              threadComplete = true;
    }If you are doing something involving blocking I/O inside your thread, you're going to need to interrupt the thread after setting this public flag to true in order to get it to stop executing.
    Then you can simply remove it's refference from that Vector, and it will become elligable for Garbage collection the moment it becomes inactive.

  • How to get a Thread Dump from Windows Service?

    We're running WLS 8.1 as a Windows Service, but we can't seem to generate a Thread Dump when the server locks up (apparently).
    Can anybody recommend a wrapper that will do this?

    Hi,
    Please refer to the following URL for more information http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs81/adminguide/winservice.html
    To cause the WebLogic Server instance to print a thread dump to standard out, do either of the following:
    Use the weblogic.Admin THREAD_DUMP command. For more information, refer to "THREAD_DUMP" in the WebLogic Server Command Reference.
    Open a command prompt and enter the following command:
    WL_HOME\bin\beasvc -dump -svcname:service-name
    where WL_HOME is the directory in which you installed WebLogic Server and
    service-name is the Windows service that is running a server instance.
    For example:
    D:\bea\weblogic81\server\bin\beasvc -dump -svcname:mydomain_myserver

  • Ejb lookups fail from threads spawned from servlet

    Hello,
    We have a servlet from which we are spawning a thread. In the thread we are
    trying to do a JNDI lookup for the database resource / EJBs. It does not
    work as if it is not able to find the context t do the lookup.
    I thought that the threads are spawned in the same JVM and context, so why
    does the lookup not work.
    Please need to figure out a solution to this problem, we need to call some

    Custom threading is not supported. I think a workaround was posted on
    this alias (search for custom threading), where you can call the
    proprietary API's of the container to recreate the context, but I'm
    pretty sure that it's not a supported or recommended solution.
    The better (and more scalable) solution is to avoid spawning your own
    threads.

    Hello,
    If i have a code that executes multiple threads , can i identify which thread is operating on a certain field ?

    Watchpoint events contain the thread that accessed the field.

    Hi darren,
    As one of the posters of that thread, I would like to report that 1/2 of the replies said that phones do nothing in the studio except annoy those not on the phone, 1/4 compared it to no phones on planes, 1/8 said that cheaper/older phones can cause interference on amped instruments like a guitar, and the last 1/8 was fluff.
