N750TI-2GD5/OCV1 legacy/hybrid bios switch

Hi,
Is there a physical switch to change between legacy/hybrid bios on this card (N750TI-2GD5/OCV1)?
I know that the switch exists on these models (byt they're too big for my small/mid-size HP computer):
N750TI TF 2GD5/OC
N750TI-2GD5/OC

Check this list from MSI website, N750TI-2GD5/OCV1 seems doesn't have hybrid bios switch.
http://event.msi.com/2014/vga/Hybrid_BIOS/
But you can flash to GOP vbios with non-UEFI OS first, then don't need to worry about the hybrid bios switch.
Better to check if the graphics card have GOP vbios or not before you buy it.

  • Do all MSI Nvidia 750 TI graphics card have hybrid bios?

I have been advised to get a MSI Nvidia gtx 750 TI graphics card that has a hybrid bios switch as my HP pavilion has had compatibility issues with another graphics cards in the past. Im  having a look on Amazon but im really not sure what one to choose as i dont know which ones have hybrid bios. Do all MSI GTX 750 TI card have hybrid bios or only certain ones? Im really not very good when it comes to things like this and i want to make sure i get it right so i thought i would ask, hope you can help.
    Thanks Steve

If the VGA card have hybrid bios, it will write on the product box.
But since the website spec didn't mention it , I think it is better to ask the Amazon seller before you buy it...
You can check >>MSI website for hybrid BIOS introduction<<...

  • N660 TF 2GD5/OC comes with stock hybrid bios?

    Hello,
I am planning on buying a N660 TF 2GD5/OC for a brand new win 8 system. Well the card come with hybrid bios installed (uefi gop so I can use with secure boot and fast boot) or would I have to update something?
    Thanks!

All currently produced GTX6xx cards from MSI are coming with a hybrid (GOP supporting) vbios. None the less no one can say what reseller has in stock. Earlier models could be shipped with legacy vbios. If that's the case we can supply you with a GOP vbios on demand.

  • N750Ti-2GD/OC - BIOS Switch?

    Hello,
I just got this graphics card N750Ti-2GD/OC, S/N: 602-V809-174SD1402107934, which has a little switch on the upper edge near the ports, someone told me that this is some sort of BIOS switch. It has two setting options, 1 and 2, and it is set on 2. Do I have to worry about this switch, since I am running my mainboard on Legacy BIOS and all my harddrives with that MBR partitioning scheme?
    Thanks

Well, this was easier than I thought and everything seems to work without touching that switch. I deinstalled Intel Graphics driver, installed this graphics card and when I restarted Windows 7, Windows Update offered some Nvidia driver (340.52) as an important update, and I gave ok to install, even though MSI-Support offers some other version 334.89 and Nvidia 344.11.
I was not sure how old this card is, so I checked with GPU-Z 0.7.9 the release date Feb. 18, 2014. The BIOS Version is 82.07.32.00.16 (P2010-0050), the GPU temperature under 0% load is 26°C and the Fan Speed is 34%. Those values do not tell me much, but the colours seem to be a bit more intense now compared to the Intel onboard graphics, and this graphics card does not make any sound that can compete with one of my old 3-pin case fans.
Since installation is that easy, I wonder whether there is a simple way to find out before ordering what other graphics card models can be savely operated with my 480W power supply, which might be the bottleneck limiting the choice. This N750Ti-2GD/OC is supposed to be an energy saver but not such a big performer.

  • GTX 970 GAMING 4G Hybrid Bios

Hello I wanted to know if the card GTX 970 4GB Gaming has installed a series of hybrid Bios (Legacy and UEFI-GOP), and then if I have a Z97 motherboard Xpower AC and windows 8.1 installed can activate the Fast Boot.
    Thanks for the info.

All current GTX9xx cards do come with a hybrid vbios. So there will be no problem using Fast Boot.

  • N750Ti-2GD5/OC to replace on-board graphics

So far I have been using the on-board video Intel HD Graphics 4600, but now I can get the discrete graphics card MSI GeForce GTX 750 Ti OC 2GB with the dimensions 212x120x34 mm which supposedly would improve my system’s graphics performance whithout overburdening my PSU and which should fit into my pc-case even without having to take out the installed 120mm cooling kit. Since I have never changed the GPU of a running system, I thouhgt that the following steps would do the trick:
1.) Deinstall Intel VGA Driver 10.18.10.3621 under Windows 7.
2.) Shut down and power off computer and remove main A/C power cable from PSU.
    3.) Mount discrete video card N750Ti-2GD5/OC to PCIe x 16 slot (PCI_E2).
4.) Start up Windows 7 and install Nvidia driver nvidia_334.89_v7864.zip downloaded from MSI global support site.
Did I forget anything important, or do I have to change any setting of the UEFI-BIOS?

Since I also have a HDMI cable it might be worth a try.
Unfortunately, due to some thunderstorm and flooding I will be getting the MSI video card next week. So I used the time to look up the Intel site under "Uninstalling the Intel® Graphics Driver and Intel Display/HDMI Audio Driver" which also refers to the "4th Generation Intel® Core™ Processors with Intel® HD Graphics 4600" and it said to try to remove the Intel graphics driver first by the method under Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features and only if this does not work for my system I should try uninstalling the Intel graphics driver via the device manager method(?).
And it was also stressed that in order to avoid any potential installation incompatibilities, Intel recommends that I first check with my computer (in my case mainboard) manufacturer and use the driver software they (in my case MSI) provide. Therefore, I changed the Windows security updates to manual, so I can premeditate ("om mani padme hum") whether I want an update or not.

  • Artifacting with R7 260x 2GD5 OCV1

Hello Forum members, you guys are probably gonna have fun with this one
I recently installed a new R7 260x in my system and have been having problems with it that are driving me crazy (and trust me its a pretty long drive). After the install, I have been having artifacts (dancing red pixels) show up in the darker areas of my screen, and I have traced the issue back to the card under the fact of it does it with every display. Also, in some games, skyrim especially, I have been having distortion of the objects on the loading screens. Other than that the card runs just fine, but I am unsure of what the issue is here. I filed a support ticket and heard back from a tech with troubleshooting tips that worked to no avail. I am also sure that the PCI-E slot is working because my old gpu worked just fine in it also. I checked for a mainboard bios update with Live Update 5 and it said my BIOS was up to date. If it helps, my system specs are below
CPU: AMD FX-6120 (scrapped from an old Hp tower that my family was going to sell since we bought a computer to replace it)
RAM: 8gb Kingston (Don't have the model number since it is from that old Hp tower also)
Mobo: Msi 970a-g43 (chose it since this was a bit of a budget build)
    GPU Msi R7 260x 2GD5 OCV1
Old GPU: Hp Radeon HD 7450
    PSU: Rosewill Hive 750 watt
    Windwos 8.1 64 bit

Hey, I haven't checked this forum in a while but nice to see it is still active. Got news to report on this. I sent the card back to newegg and received the replacement yesterday. This is a good one. After installing it yesterday, it ran perfectly fine. I booted up this morning and the artifacts returned much worse and blue this time. Plus windows I minimized were leaving outlines of were they were sitting and a bit of ghosting, along with the image distortion. So, to try something, I rebooted my system and after the reboot it worked just fine. I'm at school right now so I can't test it to see if it happens again but when I get a chance I will let you guys know.

  • Unable to download hybrid bios

I've been trying to download the hybrid bios for about a week but I'm still unable to download it. I have the R9 270X GAMING 2G. when I try to download the bios in Live Update 6 the progress bar comes up and is full but says 0% and then it says it has been downloaded but nothing pops up. There's no file for the bios update in C:\Program Files (x86)\MSI\Live Update\LU5\DL_FILE. I was wondering if there's somewhere I can manually download it?

    Use >>this<<
Create a bootable usb stick (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=165175.0).
Then unpack the previously provided archive (102.rar) and put the included file (TV303MH.102) on that stick.
Rename TV303MH.102 to 102.rom. Put the atiflash.exe also included in the archive on the USB stick too. Now boot from the stick.
Type atiflash -p -f -noaper 0 102.rom [ENTER] and let it flash the vbios.

  • MSI GTX 770 (N770-TF-4GD5/OC) Hybrid Bios Question

I have a MSI GTX 770 (N770-TF-4GD5/OC) that's currently using the NV282MS.3E0 bios. MSI Live Update 6 says I can update to NV282MH.3E0. However I'm currently using it with other hardware. The motherboard is an ASUS P5N-D. I am planning to update my whole system. So I wasn't sure if would be safe to update now or should I just wait until I get the new hardware before updating? I know using a UEFI Hybrid Bios does have some risks with older hardware. Thanks for any info given.

    do not use live update!
it has a bad record of flashing the wrong VBIOS versions and if its not meant for your card you will have severe problems!
if you want a updated VBIOS or a GOP/Hybrid VBIOS ask us and we can supply you with what you need:
we just need 2 things to do it:
1: give us your serial number of your card (leave off the last 3 digits)
2: upload a copy of your current VBIOS to somewhere like dropbox and give us a link to it! (you can get the VBIOS copy by downloading >>GPU-Z<< and use the icon on the right of the VBIOS number to save a copy of your current VBIOS and then upload it somewhere where we can access it)

  • Bios Switches A / B only boot when OC Genie button is on. MSI Z77 Military Grade

    MSI Z77 Military Grade
    1. Bios Switches A / B only boot when OC Genie button is on.
    2. I normally use Bios B and upgraded the Bios from 17.6 to 17.12.
Flash was successful. I don't remember if I had the OC Genie button on or not.
But when I rebooted I couldn't get into the bios stuck at "A2" (thought I totally corrupted the bios
until I turned on the OC Genie from the motherboard.
    However here is the quandary:
    3. Neither A or B Bios will boot without the OC Genie button on.
    4. The system will cycle twice than stop at A2
    5. Eventually I would like to have both Bios-es working optimally.
Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

  • Request for A6005-201US bios, switch some keys

    Hi,
I'm looking for a modded bios that switches the fn and the left ctrl keys, and the left alt and the "\" key adjacent to it.
I ran the usb flasher, got these numbers.
    Mainboard: MS-1682
    PCB v1.000
    BIOS A1682SMR V1.0E
    Thanks for your time.

I was able to switch the left alt and the "\" key using SharpKeys, handy program. If it's too big of a hassle (or if it's not even possible), the alt key can be left alone. I would still like the fn and ctrl switched though, haven't found a way around that.

  • BIOS switch Nvidia always on - disable Optimus

    Hi everybody,
I just bought a T430s with Optimus, and as some of you may know, Optimus does not work in Linux. I have exclusively been using Linux for years, and there's no way I'm switching to Windows. I don't really care that the automatic switching doesn't work, and I would be perfectly happy just using the nvidia card, and taking the power cost.
However, apparently the BIOS that my T430 shipped with does not allow me to run with the nvidia card always switched on. I want to disable the intel integrated card so that I can only be using discrete graphics. Does anyone know how to update the T430s to a BIOS version which allows this? As of right now, I simply can't use my graphics card.
    Thanks!

Maybe a return is in order then?

Latest VBIOS for the 050 is TV273MH.150
flash it by booting from USB key to pure dos, then execute:
    atiflash -f -p 0 xxxx.BIN [ENTER]
where xxxx.BIN will be your vbios file
You may want to flash the mainboard bios to the latest version as well just to make sure, but it should be fine.
