N76 + Parrot CK3300 problems

Hi,
I've recently "upgraded" to an N76 from my previous phone (a nokia 6230i). The phone is okay, but I have a bit of a problem with my bluetooth car kit (a Parrot CK3300). I've paired with the car kit so that it works correctly as a phone, but when I first turn on the kit I get a REALLY loud buzz on the speakers for a couple of seconds just after the phone connects and it won't let my car kit access the phone book (no matter how hard I try).
This did not happen on any of the previous phones I had before, which include: 6310, 6310i, 6230, 6230i.
The good people at Nokia seemed keen not to let this be the fault of their own Nokia phone and so blamed it on the bluetooth port of my car. I explained it still worked fine with the 6230i that I still have.
They then said it was the new "bluetooth profile" on the phone that was not compatible with older car kits. I've seen entries saying that the N95 works fine with this car kit and also, Parrot's website says the N76 works fine with this car kit (and supports Object Push, which is what is supposed to let the car kit see contacts on the phone).
Has anyone else experienced problems with this phone / car kit combination? If someone out there can confirm that this phone is, in fact, compatible and shouldn't be producing the horrendous screeching noise then that would help me a lot. If not, then we can document this as a known issue.

You may have to send the conta\cts to the Parrot kit as a business card, try contacts/mark/mark all/ send/ via bluetooth/ send. If this dont work try asking Parrot www.parrot.biz they have a forum.

    Check your settings in the Applications -> Application Manager -> settings.
    Mine are Software Installations -> All
    Onine certificate check -> Off
    and it installs OK.
    If not then you can configure the internal mail client to access your gmail quite easily. Come back if you need some help as it doesn't work unless you manually enable the secure settings.

  • Low headphone audio with Mp4 playback

    Trying to watch an Mp4 video and audio is extremely low on headphones. I tried using Quicktime, VLC, Flip player and iTunes and all are outputting almost inaudible levels of audio on my headphones with a characteristic underwater gurgling sound. But when I unplug the headphones, it plays the audio at a normal level over the speakers. All the videos played back with audio at normal levels yesterday on both headphones and speakers.
    It doesn't seem to be a problem with the headphones since Youtube and Spotify sound perfectly fine.
    Tried to change setups in Midi without any luck.
    I have Air Parrot installed as a mirroring software, but it's never caused a problem like this before. I suspect it might have something to do with this, but even when I force quick Air Parrot, the problem remains.

  • 6120c Bluetooth problem with parrot ck 3100

    Hello,
    I am having serious problems with the connection of my Nokia 6120 with my parrot ck 3100. During a call it will kill the microfone and no one can hear me. I am still hearing other talk.
    After hanging up and calling again sometimes it is fixed and sometimes it is not.
    Also the phone seams to lose the connections every once a while.
    Anyone out there with the same problems or a solution for this.

    It's true, you can find at http://europe.nokia.com/A4143881 a soft called Nokia 810 Contact Download Application for Nokia S60 3rd edition devices that, after installing on the E51, the car kit will sync the contacts (only the contacts !!!) with the phone. I checked and it works with my parrot 3100 and my E51.
    At this link you can find also the soft for all the S60 editions (1.2 and 2nd edition).
    Please note that, after installing the software on the E51, you need to run it. The soft will ask you if it will automatically start when the phone will start => yes !
    Still, a problem is unsolved, why it does not sync the missed/received/dialled calls with my parrot car kit?

    on my N76 I have an old problem with the Music Player, I always have the blue arrow on the music icon, notifying that the music is playing and I don't find a "quit" option. I have the last update 3.0.014
    Is it normal ? is it the selection by default ?

  • Problems with N76 after software upgrade of PC Sui...

    I downloaded and ran the current Nokia Software Updater which has been installed on my PC and in turn installed and updated all related components.
    I then followed the instructions to a tee, backed up files, via content copier, updated my N76 with the latest version of the Device software. Upon the phone restarting, all was good and the phone asked me for my country, state and date and time. When I check Device Manager it advises that I have V31.0.014 and that the Device is Updated with current date. Upon checking the Sync folder Lifeblog and PC Suite are both DEFINE and dated.
    Before having had a chance to restore from my backup, I received some text messages with pics which I uploaded to my PC Lifeblog with no problems.
    I then restored the backup file with great ease, so that I could have my contacts etc back on my phone.
    Only problem is that it seems like not only files are restored but also any previous phone settings. I have gone through the whole process three times and each time I restore when I check the Device Manager it tells me that the phone has previous version on it and that the Device has not been updated. Also when I check the Sync folder it tells me that the PC suite (is not defined)and if I try to change any settings manually it advises that the profiles are READ ONLY.
    HOW CAN I FIX THIS IT IS DRIVING ME NUTS!

    I have a problem.. I'm not receiveing any text-messages unless i restart my mobile. I have N76... First, i thought if i upload a new software it will solve the problem.. i did upload a new version, but still nor receiving sms unless i restart my mobile... what to do?

    I tried to remove the battery but it didn't work.. Also i tried to insert a diff sim-card (i assumed that maybe my sim-card is the problem).. but no, my mobile wasn't getting any sms even with the diff sim-card (inless i restart it).

  • Problems pairing with Parrot 3200LS hands-free

    My phone was pairing just fine for two months. Then it stopped connection with my Parrot 3200LS. I have tried deleting from the phone and the Parrot. I have re-paired numerous times and I can get the connection initially to work, but when I re-enter my car it won't connect. I have checked the software update and am really getting frustrated. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't know if it is my phone or the Parrot device. When I look at the bluetooth settings on my phone it looks like it is constantly searching. It does recognize the Parrot 3200 and when I select the device it will sometimes connect and sometimes it will say connection failed. I shouldn't have to manually connect when I get in my car. Any help would be appreciated. I have also sent a question to Parrot and am waiting for a response.

  • 1.1.3 and Parrot Bluetooth car kit problems and solution

    I've discovered a potential fix with help from the good folks at Parrot Bluetooth devices technical support. The main issue with version 1.1.3 upgrade and car kits appears to be when the iPhone attempts to sync contacts with the BT device. Apparently, something changed in 1.1.3 about how Apple sent contacts through BT. To fix it on a Parrot car kit, first delete the iPhone from the list of paired devices on the car kit. Then unpair the car kit on the iPhone. Pair the two devices following your devices instructions, only with contact synchronization disabled. On my 3200LS this meant selecting "Disable Synchro" from the phone pairing list. The connection was quick and rock solid after doing this.
    I have seen reports of this same solution working with Ford Sync devices also, and it may address some of the Garmin issues too. Obviously, this isn't ideal since you won't have any contacts or at least will have to manually enter them on your device. But it should get you through until Apple devises a fix in a near future (hint Apple) upgrade.

    Thanks to the $15 Beamer, AirPlay streaming is still possible on Macs  that do not support Airplay and mirroring.

    The issue of firmware on operator-variant models is a common sore point on these boards.
    Unfortunately, Nokia's hands are tied. The operators have to approve new versions of the software before they can be applied to any phone sold to them by Nokia as their own variant.
    You will probably find that the operators' customer service staff are trained only to give advice on network services, if you want answers on issues other than that you need to locate the operator's head office and pester them. If you are a contract customer, that address should appear on your bill.
