N76 SOFTWARE UPDATE TROUBLE

Hello,
I've just buy an N76 and i try to make Firmware update from V10.0.035 To V31.0.014 but software update always downloading the update and reboot my phone and after Say:
"PHONE RECOVERY" try to remove charger and battery, insert battery and connect charger, click retry and press the phone's power button ?
NB: I have follow all the steps before begin the update (Backup, general profil etc...)
Someone know how we can make firmware update on N76 and software update ?
Thanks

I was able to successfully update my N76 to firmware V31.0.014
It took longer to download the new files (about 75mb) than to update the phone! I'm using Windows Vista, and everything worked smoothly: from plugging in my phone to NSU saying my N76 was updated and could now be restarted took less than 25 mins...

I have two software updates that I'm having issues with. I'm running Leopard 10.5.2 on a 2.2 GHz MacBook Pro.
Whenever I attempt to install a Keyboard Firmware Update, version 1.0, it tells me: A networking error has occurred: Cannot open file (-3001). Make sure you can connect to the Internet, then try again.
I have tried this on several different connections, wired and wireless, and continue to be unable to install.
I also am having trouble with the MacBook Pro EFI Firmware update, version 1.5. I have "successfully" installed this update about 4 times, yet the update continues to appear in my update box.

See if downloading it directly works:

If you look at the list of software updates in the Systems Preferences you can see if it actually installed or not. If it is listed it installed. Otherwise download it from the same page previously referenced and see what happens.
Installing a firmware update is not the same as installing a regular update. Also installing the EFI firmware update is even more different.
Be sure to follow the instructions to the letter.
If you find that these updates are indeed installed, then check your startup folder in Users in
System Preferences and remove it from the list.

  • Software Update Trouble

I've been having a lot of troubles with my MacBook and now it seems like my software update doesn't work. Its stuck on about 70% and its not moving at all. My internet connection is fine and it worked a while ago. Here is how it looks like
    http://img195.imageshack.us/my.php?image=picture1zgk.png

Cancel your update process and quit Software Update. Then try the following:
    Fix for Software Update
See Troubleshooting Automatic Software Update in Mac OS X.
    Delete the following files:
    /Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist
    /Home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist
    /Home/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.xxx.plist
    "xxx" is a number.
    /Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate/ (delete entire folder)
    Now, do the following:
Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger and Leopard.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now restart normally.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior (4.0 for Tiger, and 4.1 for Leopard) and/or TechTool Pro (4.6.1 for Leopard) to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
Now restart Software Update and see if it works properly.

  • I podtouch software update trouble?

I can not update 4th gen Ipodtouch.  This is a new device. I up-dated Itunes and safari during startup connection to PC.  When I connect and use Itunes on PC desktop a network error occures. Seems like a time out, occurrs after about 8 minutes and during software processing.   The Ipod does not have software update function under, "setting>general>___," like the manual says?

Thank you very much.  I had disabled the anti-virus program before, but with your suggestion, I disable it and the windows firewall.  It worked!  After the software up date, the ipod touch now also shows the "software update function" in the device settings.
    Thank you again, much appreciated.

  • Software Update Trouble (pics included)

    Hi everyone,
I'm trying to do a Software Update and have been unsuccessful for months. Here is what I do:
Click Apple logo > Software Update > ...checking for new software... > (screen below appears)
Then, when I click Network Diagnostics > (screen below appears)
Everything appears fine, but I still cannot update. I haven't been able to update for months. Please help me
ADDITIONAL INFO: MacBook Pro approx 14 months old, purchased brand new from apple store. Used daily for uni. No problems with anything else, just software update. I don't download music or anything else. Just used for uni work and surfing the web.

It sounds like you are connecting to the internet fine, but your connection to the software update server is not working. If that is correct, then perhaps you need to reset the location of the software update server to the default. [By the way, you said "used daily for uni" -- are you at a university? Has your software update been configured to get updates from a university server?]
Open the /Library/Preferences folder on the main hard drive.
Find the com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist file and move this to the desktop. If you find a similar file with a .apple at the end (com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist.apple) then move that too. Copying them to the desktop means that you can restore them if this does not work. Save these files in a safe place if you need to restore the back sometime in the future, e.g. put them in a folder named Copied Software Update Preferences Files, or something like that.
Restart your computer. Try Software Update again.

  • Software Update Trouble (OS 10.6.8)

    Good day!
I own an i5 MBP currently running on OS 10.6.3. Recently, i have been trying to run the software update to go to 10.6.8, and i seem to be having problems. I have had to restart the process several times, as the application would report that "an error has occured" and that the process could not be continued. Initially, simply clicking install again would get the process going again. However, for the past two days, the status indicator has been stuck at around 400MB of the 1.09GB and i cannot seem to get the install process going again. The error prompt keeps coming up asking me to check my network connection. I do know, however, that my network is working, as i can easily access websites on the same connection.
I have tried restarting the computer, which has resulted in the same outcome. I did not have this problem when i updated my C2D iMac.
I would like some help on how to address this situation, so i can update my software on my MBP.
    Thanks!

  • Nokia software update- trouble restoring user date

    G'day.
I have a nokia n80. when i update the software i lose all of my user data. When i restore it from the back up i lose the new firmware.
    Could anyone help please?

I have a similar problem; updated my N80 with the software yesterday, restored all the data today, and my applications are now not reachable. The system tells me that the applications are installed, but I cannot find the icons for them, or put them on the standby screen - where I would quite like to find some of them!
I backed up both to the card and to the laptop, and neither restoration gives me access to my nice programmes.

    Welcome to the forum!
Apart from loss of all data issue, it might be worth trying reset by keying in *#7370# followed by 12345 (default Nokia lock code unless altered by yourself).

However, the "fonts" on the display and all the items have become larger than what it used to be and it's really ugly. Does anyone know how I can reduce the size of the font?

    Hello Dear,
You can remove your ugly font and get back to original state. Try this link for the font remover software.

  • Nokia asha 310 software update trouble

I have downloaded a software and when i begun to install,it showed Delete some items. So i deleted everything frm my phone, but it again showed same message. As there are system files that are taking too much memory and i am unable to delete them so i can't instal the software.
    Please help.

I had the same problem when I had to select one (key) option from several from an pre recorded menu of options. The keypad would lock up in a few seconds and I had to quickly press the lock button on the side of the phone to unlock the keypad, by that time I had lost track of what the automated message was saying - very frustrating and not user friendly at all. There should be something that Nokia can do to deactivate this auto keypad lock feature. Thanks.

    Close your iTunes,
    Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
    (Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
    netsh winsock reset
    Hit "ENTER" key
    Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

That is only present if you have already updated to iOS 5 or later.  If you're on iOS 4 you can only update while connected to your computer's iTunes.

You can't access iCloud from your iPhone unless you're on iOS 5 or later.  Otherwise, refer to this article:

  • After software update, iMac has trouble booting

I have a 17" white intel iMac (bought november '06).
I recently had to archive and install (long story)
Everything works except after every software update that requires a restart, my mac doesn't restart right. I hear the startup noise a few times, getting softer every time until it is not audible. The iMac stays on the gray screen until I hold the power button down and manually restarted it.
I tried resetting PRAM a few times, but it didn't help.
    How can I fix this?
    Thanks!

Are you sure you really had a problem? After a system update, it's normal for the imac to stay on the gray screen for a couple of minutes, then even reboot sometimes. If you've interrupted the process, you probably do have trouble now. I'd download the combo update from the downloads section of this site, run that, and give it time to restart itself.
If you mean it was stuck for like half an hour or something, that's not normal.
