Decompress the provided .rar archive with Winrar: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Then flash the desired file with Nvflash for dos: http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/nvflash_download.html
To do so rename the desired file to .rom and create a dos bootstick (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=165175.0)
Put nvflash and the vbios file on it and boot from the stick. Then type nvflash -4 -5 -6 gop.rom (if renamed vbios that way) and hit enter. Confirm the questions and let the tool flash. -

The included FLASH.CMD did not function for some reason (quickly flashes the cmd window and closes it), but after running nvflash with the same option as in the file in elevated CMD everything went smoothly, GPU-Z reported new flash file, and most importantly, UEFI now does the proper fast boot. -

New to the forum. I ran into some problems after updating Winodws 8 to 8.1. Seems the UEFI install I did wasn't executed correctly. So, now I have a one-week-old PC sitting here, doing nothing.
Just updated the MoBo BIOS via USB, now trying to figure out how to flash the graphics card.
I made the DOS-bootable USB-stick and used this command:
nvflash /v >rep txt
Graphics card: N770 TF 2GD5/OC
S/N: 602-V282-20SB1307058435
NVFlash:
NVIDIA Firmware Update Utility (Version 5.136)
Adapter: GK1xx (10DE,1184,1462,2825) H:--:NRM B:01,PCI,D:00,F:00

I then used (all commands below taken from rchitype's blog):
nvflash --protectoff
Then:
nvflash –-save backup rom
I assume I have to use this command with the new ROM you'll hopefully provide me with?
nvflash --index=1 -4 -5 -6 new rom
From what I understand, I should now be able to use the Windows 8 settings of my MSi motherboard?
Thanks for your trouble!!!This is the bios to use: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=172185.0;attach=11857

You can backup your old vbios if you want with: nvflash –-save backup rom
To flash you have to rename the provided file NV282MH.301 to a .rom extension (e.g. NV282MH.rom)
As you don't want to crossflash or such updating just takes the following: nvflash NV282MH.rom (in case you renamed file to NV282MH.rom) -
