N78 and PC Suite 7.1.26 SMS Sync problem

Once my pc suite updated to 7.1.26, i couldn't send recieve SMS via pc suite.
Delete the content in ..\AppData\Roaming\PC Suite\, uninstall and reinstall the SMS DS Plugin on my N78 doesn't fix the problem.

I use Lotus Notes 8.02 and PC Suite 7.0.8.2 both US English.
When synchronizing everything is in sync except for the emailaddress, this field is not synchronized.
Is there some kind of 'fieldmapping', ini or reg file that can be changed to include this field? Or is it a bug?

PC Suite 7.1.30.9 Sync Problems with Notes 8.0.2 C...

Folks,
I saw few other topics with similar report but none solution, therefore I'm posting my case.
I've used PC Suite for many years with Notes with no issues. I even refered it as the best feature of Nokia phones.
About few days ago I got the recommendation to upgrade the PC Suite to this new version. Since then I haven't been able to sync my calendar to either of my two phones; N95 and the just bought N97.
I run Windows XP Pro with SP2.
I have already UNinstalled the 30.9 manually or with PC Suite Cleaner and installed the versions .18 or .26 however nothing works anymore.
I tried to replicate Calendar alone or with any of the other options or with all of them but still no success.
It shows the replica and when it reaches 98% of the total of registers it chrashes and shootdown the Notes. The strange to me is it seems to be replicating the Contacts, even when it's not selected to.
Any recommendation or suggestions??

I believe that I finally found part of the problem.
After my last posts, I booted to another machine I usually were able to do a full sync of my Nokia E63 against Notes 7 and for my syrprise that machie failed also. That machine shows the version of Windows XP as: Windows ver 5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp_sp2_qfe.051011-1528ervice Pack2) and theLotus notes there is the same asin my other machine that was failing (7.0 HF277). Then it was clear to me that something in Symbian was causing that failure. I cleared all the existing entries in the E63 calendar and tried again, the same failure appeared, the sync stoppin premature and a message in the E63 display showing that it had a network error (I were connecting via Bluetooth). I then powered off and on again and still had the failure, then I decided to remove the battery for 1 minute and plug it again.... and voilá.... everything worked fine, my E63 was able to resynch again the calendar....
I don't know exactly what happened, but I believe that after some special condition, a piece of software under Symbian reaches an intermidiate state that is causing that failure and only after some interval that should act as a RESET, puts back that piece of software into the original state.
I hope this should help in your case. I don't had the oportunity to retest under Notes 8.02.

Few questions about phone itself and PC Suit coope...

So I have 5610 XM phone with 09.40 firmware and PC Suite v 7.1.18.0...
As I understand it sync works like this 1. New event on the phone (like new sms) new sync. 2. New event on PC Suit (like replying to that sms you just got) sync again. PC and phone are connected using USB cable.
The prob is that when I get a new sms sometimes it takes ages to actualy see that I got it on the PC screen. Sometimes it syncs right away and next time it takes like 1 min. Same thing goes with replying. You just got a new sms and trying to reply... bang error shows up that the message can't be sent but if you try again 2 mins later it works fine again. Refresh messages button never help.
And btw everything is damn slow... not even mentioning that PC Suit can't read contacts from SIM card... only from phone memory..
So do I have a problem here of my own or it just works like that and I can go fck myself?

I too experience long delays in updating the messages pane, whether connected via USB or bluetooth. Sometimes it's quite quick.. But other times it can take 5 min to show up a new message. Generally I don't care because I don't reply to texts very quickly, much to the annoyance of friends, family..

Hello, i just want to say how much annoying symbian is.
Well im browsing ovi suite's web from pc. Found an app that i want to download.
I clicked send to mobile and everythinks starts:
Got sms with link. First opens converstations, to be able to click the link i must open the message, then after i open it web browser launches and finaly ovi store??!! thats so annoying.
Why theres no possibility to open links from conversation? And why always browser launches instead ovi suite?

ovi suite does not send sms but have only option download and install
if you mean ovi store that how it works not only for symbian but for meego so is not the fault of symbian but nokia's
try this tips
1/go from your phone's ovi store and download direct
2/after the item number on your web browser ... delete the rest letters
exaple

to look like that

then add... /download
with no spaces
it will ask you to log in and will download to pc with out sms

Nokia n90 and pc suite 6.70.22

Hi,
another question.
I am trying to connect my n90 to my pc to get some images off it and send sms.
i can install pc suite 6.70.22 with no problems but i get a message saying the connected phone is not recognised. i have tried this with a 6680 and an n70 and this works fine on the machine i installed pc suite to.
i have also tried this on a seperate machine, again i get the message from pc suite saying that the phone is not recognised - but the 6680 works fine.
both machines run windows xp home with sp2 and pc suite 6.70.22. i am connecting with a ca-53, one machine has laspersky antivirus and the other has no antivirus or security software.
i am able to use the get connected wizard but it does not complete untill i disconnect the phone from the pc.
the firmware on my phone is: 3.0545.5.1 and has previously worked with pc suite 6.6 and pc suite 6.70.21
has anyone else seen this problem, or been able to fix it?

Ups, I mixed this phone with 6230i, which has the mode selection, sorry to confuse you, the phone screen should not ask any questions. Anyways, there should be at least an indicator that USB is connected.
I reread the post once again and if I understand right, your 6680 and N70 work OK, but with N90 you donät even get the USB drivers installed ? What does it say in device manager/hardware when you connect the phone and follow up from there what happens ?Message Edited by manta on 27-Dec-2005

N78 and Sync Problems

I am having so much problem syncing my N78 and have spent hours trying to resolve. I am using the supplied usb cable to connect and am using PC Suite. My phone is recognised but when I go to sync it always bombs out with a either connection lost or terminated - sync seems to get to various stages but never as far as writing to my phone - please please any assistance would be greatly apreciated

Try updating Nokia Nseries PC Suite. This is most easily accomplished by
a - opening the program,
b - clicking on the Settings icon (circle with spanner) and then
c - selecting the Update Manager tab in the window that presents itself.
d - Select N78 as the device for which the software is to be compatible.
e - Click on the light blue "Check for updates now" legend on the left under the radio buttons.
If you do not have latest version you will be prompted to download a newer version, which may address your issue. I have version 2.1.2700 but I am in North America.
If your computer software is up to date try the following:
a - A Bluetooth dongle to see if the device with synch properly via Bluetooth
b - Different USB ports
c - A different cable
All of the above assumes you have selected PC Suite as your connection choice on the device when you connect. Good luck. I hope it evens out for you soon. Synching is one of the beauties of this device.
I also use regular PC Suite with my N78-3 and both the PC software and my devices function perfectly for synching, my desktop and laptop contacts and calendars.

Suit refuses to send SMS to a "invalid recipient"

Sometimes the PC Suit for my Nokia 95 *MB refuses to send text messages to some numbers, for example a number in Israel. The Eerror message says "Recipient (number" is not valid. Can not send message." Who knows what is going on??? The number IS VALID! I called it and it works.

A workaround:
You can export the contacts as a .csv file and manually copy->replace the invalid character->insert a column as the valid numbers. Then you can import the .csv file into pc suite. When sending SMS, you can choose the "valid" number.
Still quite a lot numbers, but with a decent text editor, it's much easier than editing contacts one by one.

Failing to assemble Downloaded Pre-built Virtual Machine for SOA Suite and BPM Suite 11g

Hello,
I checked the download checksum of the files downloaded for Pre-built Virtual Machine for SOA Suite and BPM Suite 11g ( Pre-built Virtual Machine for SOA Suite and BPM Suite 11g ) and they all match checksums.
however, when I try to assemble them with 7zip, I get a corrupt error message. I have tried downloading with Chrome and Internet Explorer. I have also tried assembling the 7zip files different ways.
Is there anything else I should try?
Running on Windows 7, 64 bit machine. (with lots of disk space).
Is there any other way to get the files?
