I just read that the USB cable CA-101 that comes with the N78 supports charging. Why isn't it charging? Should I configure something on the phone?

Try to force your phone into recovery mode. Disconnect it from the computer's USB cord. Turn it off if you can by holding the sleep/wake switch until you see the red slide to off. If you can't turn it off, please continue. Press and hold the home button while plugging it into the computer's USB cord. Continue holding the Home button while iPhone starts up. While starting up, you will see the Apple logo. I've updated my Iphone but cannot activate it? When I try through wifi it says the activation server is unavailable try later and I've been doing this for 5 hrs now. When I try to activate it through Itunes it says there's no SIM in the phone when there is. The phone worked perfectly before the updating of the software? Can anyone help?

hey apple users. if i deactivate my iphone because i got a new phone, can someome else put thier sin card in my old iphone and then it will work again? or does the phone stop working all together if i deactivate the phone on the support page?

does anyone know what is going on with my phone? I don't think I'm causing this, but you never know. my home page where the phone, camera, messages, etc...all the icons will get giant....maybe 3 will be on the screen instead of the normal 20.....I have to move the screen around to find what I need to open and then I cannot...so I turn off the phone, when the red arrow appears, and have to hold down one side of the screen to make the arrow move, If I try to slide it over with my finger..........I can't get it to the end.....eventually the phone will shut off and then I turn it on again and the icons are normal....but this happens several times a week and I would like it not to happen , what can I do?

I'm sorry to hear about your phone! I understand the need for an active device. You are able to activate an old device and process an insurance claim for your iPhone 4s within 60days from the incident date. Keep in mind if the old phone is not a smartphone and you currently have unlimited data that feature will fall off. If you have a tier data plan no changes will be made. Hi, my iphone 5 encountered an unknown error while updating to iOS 7 via itunes and is now stuck in recovery mode and prompts me to restore the phone when I connect it to itunes but then I would lose all my data. I DO NOT have any back ups on itunes. Is there anyway to get out of recovery mode without restoring or recover data after a restore?
Or any other suggestions please? ThanksAs pdroth said, you should have gotten a backup made when you started the update of iOS. If you cannot find a backup, and the phone is in recovery mode, there are no futher suggestions to make. To get the phone working again you have to restore. You cannot force a backup at this time since it is already in recovery mode. It will not allow anything else but a restore at this point.

I have seven(7) podcasts on my iPhone 4 that iTunes will not delete. iTunes copies them from the phone to the library and will not delete them from the phone when deleted from the library. I have replayed the podcasts over and over and they still won't delete. Podcasts are WSJ Tech briefings.
This happens to several of my podcasts whenever an updated iOS comes out. You can delete the episode directly from the phone by swiping it from left to right. That seems to fix the issue (they drop off the phone and dont reappear on iTunes). It's as if iTunes stops tracking the play count for some shows.

Apple should think about this, if not already in the new IOS 7No.
The battery will run out sooner or later anyway, even if you could prevent shutdown.
iOS 7 includes a feature that prevents anyone wiping and then re-setting up the phone without your AppleID and password. -
I plugged my iphone in to do an update and it was mid way through the update when the phone was accidentally disconnected. Now the phone is stuck on the screen that shows a cable and the iTunes image suggesting the phone needs to be plugged in to iTunes. I have plugged it in, powered on and off, attempted to enter DFU mode numerous times all with no success. ITunes does not recognize the phone and I continue to only receive the screen saying I need to plug in to iTunes.. Please help!
Hold Sleep Button with Home Button toghether until it restarts Always it takes 8 to 15 seconds, after it restarts leave the sleep button and remember do not leave the home button it automaticlly switches to DFU mode.
