N78 music player hangs..

my n78 got two problems..1.when ever i open the music player it starts searching music..and never stops..it even searches in the backgrond..the only remedy is to restart...2..four keypad lights not working including the caller keys..so i am planning to change the phone..does the n82 will be a better choice?? pls help me out

My Music Player hangs after the latest firmware up...

I have a 5800 Xpress music phone. I updated the firmware yesterday to the latest version (V40.0.005). And also added some songs from OVI suite. Now my music player hangs all the time. I dont know what to do. And need to restart the phone again to get rid of the problem. Sometimes even if i restart it wont work. Then i need to remove the battery and then restart. So please help. I am frustrated.

After I updated my 5800 to v 40 - i did a soft reset (wiping the phonememory) and a format of the memorycard to make sure the device was cleared for glitches. Atm my 5800 is working like a charm. Actually quite a bit better than my n97.

E51 Music Player hang...

Bought the E51 one month ago..
Recently found that the Music Player hang whenever I start the application..
Anyone faced the similar problem before?

Your MP should work if remove your Memory card from your phone
When it works back up your data in your card using pc suite (simply copy paste) then format your card
Then try it inside your phone again, it should work
If it doesnt go to nearest nokia care centre

N8 - applications hangs - camera, music player, video player, photos.
These applications are hanging very very frequently. i have to restart my phone again and again due to this. i am not happy with this.
Can somebody help me on this.

There's an update for apps, go to yr N8's Menu > Applications > SW Updates
Have you guys done that yet?
So far my N8 is working fine without hang-ups even before the update I mentioned. Installed 20+ apps now.

5630 XM Music Player

Hi, so I'm just wondering if anyone else's 5630 music player keeps crashing? Mine does after a few songs.. Not every time but pretty often.
Hoping a new firmware will fix it.

what you need to remember is that Nokia try their best at testing and developing phones before they are released. they don't have access to testing by millions of users, so when the phones are released, there of course will be more bugs reported to them and that they will know of, since say for example, they had a hundred testers, now they have access to millions more. and most of the time they do a great job, and within months the phone is noticeably faster, more stable, more reliable and a pleasure to use. i must admit i was a bit miffed when i bought my N78 and it was buggy, but i was patient and with the last few updates it has gotten better and better. now my phone is a joy to use with the latest firmware (v30), and i have not had a single Music Player bug/crash/hang/restart in a whole month of intensive usage with the phone. not to mention the phone either. please be patient and you will be rewarded.

Ineed a music player for E51 that remembers the tr...

Hi.
I like my E51 apart from a few things.
One of the worst is that the music player will not remember the track position when you exit like every other MP3 player in the world.
Is there a 3rd party application I can use as a player that will remember the track position or is there a work around for the Nokia Music Player?
I've seen a few symbian music player and the cost is minimal compared to the hassle of having to scan 45 minutes through a mix because the damn phone won't keep the position.

I almost bought the E51 but in the end opted for the N78, and had the same problem you have. Music player forgets where it is in long mixes, audio books etc if you turn the phone or player off.
For the nseries the quick work around is to turn the file into a podcast, you do this by selecting the track, click options, song details, then set Library to Podcast.
Don't know if it'll work on the e51 but it is the same symbian version so I think it should.

Very slow music player on iPad

Very very slow iPad music player on iPad? I see loads of questions on this but no answers. Have switched off music match and really anything that could be causing the delay. Currently trying to reset the iPad device but if there are any quick answers out there, please let me know. Have a very large music collection but willing to only use subset on iPad if required (anything to get the performance back to normal). Thanks.....

Music Player not working in my new Nokia X6

I got a new nokia X6 5-days ago from some few 2-3 days back it started automatically restarting on its own while i am doing soemthing in the cellphone i had not done anything wrong with the settings just installed 1-2 themes and 1-2 apps from ovi.
Can anyone tell me why it is happening ?
The second issue emerged today yesterday night i download many album from ovi on my X6 and today when i i try to start music player it doesn't open the screen gets black nothing happens for a long time, the phone doesn't hangs coz i can get into open apps by press and hold of menu key and come to home screen and do other things
pls tell me how to solve this problem
i srsly regret my decision to buy x6 over many other its not a good cell and really not worth the price it is saled

Just try turning phone off and remove battery for 5 minutes, re-boot and go into music player and select Options refresh. I recently set up a new X6 for a friend and it's been trouble free for 6 weeks and I put 15 apps and 20 Albums on it for him plus a few vidz no problems, but just dragged and dropped them from computer to E. Also hard reset and updated the software on the phone before doing anything at all to it. If a simple restart doesn't solve your problem, I would suggest a reset, but if it's only 5 days old, take it back to the shop where you bought it, and get them to sort it !!

Please help me regarding this problem i tried and tried to check here but i could not find the solution.
problem: I upragaded into this latest firmware yet the music player wont play, it will open only, it could not even be scrolled. the worst is it hangs up, everytime i go to the MUSIC PLAYER.

hey i resolved the problem i have to delete all *.m4a and (maybe) *.aac music files from memory card.., and i think we should let this know to NOKIA about this bug.. any way , i will check this again...now i go to movie

Music player on iPad.

Why change the layout? The last was similar to iTunes and very familiar to apple product users. I preferred that layout. Also I would like the ability to rate tunes on a 5 star basis, view play count. Look, just give us iTunes on iPad and stop reinventing the wheel please. This current music player is too limited. I would be happy to give advice as to how to improve it.

N73 music player problem

I upgraded my firmware to 4.0750.31.2.1 abt 2 weeks back.
When i added new songs and tried to refresh,i could'nt refresh..it keeps running forever...
donno whats the problem....??plz help...and also i found that my firmware is no longer available,they seem to have downgraded it...

It is also occurs in mine,after added hundreds song it will make the music player and the phone itself going to hang.so i prefer to add the songs manually to the playlist.the playlist can be found under folder e:\playlist\ and the format is commonly used .m3u.if you dont want to make your phone freezing,add only few songs once in time and refresh the playlist, and so on.

The music player on control center on ipad2

Since I updated my ipad2 , i have gotten hang of most of the new functions , but then I am having some issue with the music player on the control centre , there Is the play button and next there. But then i can't play music when I press play, then even after I open the music app and play from there,it's playing , but I cannot next on the control centre also , in IOS 6 , I could just start from the control centre by pressing play without opening the music app , is it the IOS 7 issue or it's my iPad not working ? The rest is all fine but . Can someone help please .

yeah even i am facing the same issue. The sound works for some time and the moment i get happy that the issue is solved, the bingo no sound.
Its really frustrating i have to say and also i have noticed the over all volume of the ring tones has come down.

Music player problem after updating the latest ver...

After updating the latest version for my phone, everything seems perfect. But today i see there is a serious problem of the music player. I still can play the music but i cannot change to another song or exit the player because whenever i do that, it is frozen (only music player).
Does everyone have the same problem and knows how to make it work smoothly again? Thanks

HI even my phone has stopped responding. I had a backup file in .nbu format created using the PC suite. I restored the phone using the backup file but it didnot help me. I cannot play even 3 songs consecutively, the player is getting hang and I am forced to restart. Please do not update your firmware. All the problems after I updated my firmware to 40.0.005 version. I am planning to take my phone to nokia care and reset the whole software once again so that it comes with the factory settings.

Nokia 5800 Sound problems in music player

Having a weird problem with the music player. When you choose a song to play, there is no sound unless you press either volume button, then the sound works normally. I have tried this in all different profiles, with and without headphones and nothing seems to work. Any ideas how I can get the sound back in the music player?

I don't know the exact solution to the problem but you may try to do a reset option. Sometimes with my N82 the sound just stops but the music is going. So i pause and play it again.
Try this reset but-
Before perfoming this please take a backup of your data.
Factory defaults-
Type *#7780# on your standby screen.
This will reset all your setting to default factory settings. User data wont be affected.
Soft reset-
Type *#7370#
This will reset the phone as well delete user data. Use when want to format the phone.
If none of these worked then you might want to do a hard reset.
For this you have to-
1. Switch off the phone.
2. Hold down the following three buttons: Green (the call answer button), * button, and '3' button.( Just in case of N78 it will be the multimedia key the small silver key on right side & for Nokia 5800XM - use the following buttons to do a hard reset, GREEN/RED/CAMERA keys pressed all at once on power up. this will only work on 5800's that have firmware version 20... and up. For Nokia N97 is SHIFT /SPACE BAR / BACKSPACE. )
3. While holding these buttons, hold the power button to switch on the phone.
4. Release the buttons when the phone shows the nokia hands logo or shows other signs of life like the language selection screen.

Droid Music Player Anomaly

Interesting anomaly: When I have my Bluetooth earpiece in and I answer a call, the Music Player starts when I hang up. I haven't started the application--it starts on its own. I took the phone to a Verizon Tech Support site where they completely reloaded the OS ... which was interesting and helped with new updates, but did not stop the anomaly. I have to go to the phone and "pause" the music to stop it from playing.

I just went through this with my TB upgrade. With regard to album art, WMP sync is simply not copying the jpegs (^Note1). The good news is that WMP properly organizes your music to enable "syncing" to your device. Here's what to do:
1. Mount your phone as a USB mass storage and open the $removable_drive/Music folder (where $Removable_drive is the drive letter assigned to your phone's USB storage). (^Note 2).
2. Select/Copy folders under "My Music" directory and Paste into "$Removable_drive/Music/" (^Note 3).
^Note 1: The jpegs are stored as hidden system files in a given My Music/$Artist/$Album/ folder but are not getting copied during a WMP sync.
^Note 2: Under "$removable_drive/Music/" you'll notice the same folder hierarchy as in your WMP libraries, e.g. "My Music".
^Note 3: Since the folder hierarchies are the same, you can just drag/drop the file folders into your $removable_drive/Music folder -- this is the way music is intended to be "sync'd" in Android. This copies the hidden system files as well. In my case, I first deleted the folders on my phone, so I didn't have to worry about over-writing files during the paste.
