Nokia seems to be comitted to improve the user experience... Its really good to know that... They have to do it to survive... BTW Nokia N78 latest firm ware is a little better. The operations seems to be fast.
It has just been a day with the firmware.. So far no problem... I faced a few problems while updating the USB get disconnected when the update is about to begin... but the latest software update program has all required warning... It asked me to restart my pc and my cell phone... And try again ... I did it Alas it worked ... got it updated ...
I found a few things new :
The icons for videos (The one in old version was better) and search are all new.
I am from india. I brought this phone seeing the FM transmitter option. But after i brought the phone i found it missing.
But with this software update i got the option under the music menu :-) thanks a lot nokia.
Few problems with the camera still remains... music volume has come down a bit... the gps seems to be working a little faster.

N78 New Firmware

Hello guys!
I know anybody here have the information about new firmwares coming to devices but you are much more experienced than me to know if N78 lifes cycle has end or Nokia would planning a new firmware to N78
I'm asking because it has lots of bugs that should be corrected, and when I say "lots" I mean at least 4 or 5 annoying bugs
The lastest firmware is dated from 05/08/09 (American Format)
Do u have any idea about this question?

N78 new firmware / programs

Hi,
Two questions.
I updated to the latest firmware for my n78 a while back and discovered I now had yet another browser program in my program list... or do I? Is it the same as the built in program? That now just shows up in the list? I can't delete it.
This is not a big problem. I just wondered
I use fring on a daily basis. It is now available for N78. Up until now I have used the n82 version. Does anyone know if there is a difference?

Nokia E71 - New Firmware Released 2nd July - Vr 30...

Hi All
If you didn't know already a new firmware for the Nokie E71 was released yesterday.
I have updated mine this afternoon, and it looks good so far. The only thing I have initally noticed that a Myspace Facebook and Youtube application has appeared.
As for the other improvements at the moment they must all be in the background. The handset is much faster though.
My handset is a UK Model, Unbranded and SIM Free, so not all network operator will have approved the update as yet. As always if you cannot update then its generally because the firmware for your operator or region has not yet been approved.

It is not possible to update between Feature Packs.
My GPS is working fine, along with my maps.
If you are restoreing from a backup, you can find that somethings will not install correctly. I normally only restore stuff that I actually need to keep such as contacts etc, and install everything else anew, or resync with Mail for Exchange.
I notice that stability has also improved.

Will N97 mini get new firmware updates in 2012?

Hi I am nokia fans. Still I am so hope that new update firmware will be release for n97 mini owners. Since 5800 and 5230 get new updates at October 2011. When n97mini will taste new firmware update again?

v30 was released at the end of June 2011. Don't expect another update anytime soon. I went from V12 to V30 and it's a trade-off in features. The new browser is an overall improvement,but the email client no longer gives you the flashing notification option. Free RAM drops 5 MB's on my phone. The Smart Dial and Emoticons are subjective as features. One thing I do like is that the phone stays in portrait view when closing the keyboard.

I got the v30.011 update. I would guess you will get that one or v30.014 depending on the region of your particular phone. I have no clue what difference there is between them.
With respect to the new firmware, I've been using it for about a week now and it is better than v21. There is no more phone lockup when skipping tracks in the music player and menus seem a touch faster to open. As mentioned before, there was a change to the Videos icon and slight changes to the menus. Everything now points towards the Ovi store (downloads, video services, etc.) for content. The free video feeds are gone and I havn't found them on Ovi so that really sucks big time.
There is a bug in the internet radio application. When playing a station and another station is selected the playback stops and it goes back to the main radio slection screen. I also had an issue with the music player not starting from the vertical standby screen initially, but when I changed the standby mode to horizontal and back it has worked fine since.
I still wish it was possible to change the standby mode applications in the horizontal icon theme like you can on the E51.

Will we see new firmware for N routers now that 802.11n was made official a while back?

Let me first say that I am not employed by Cisco or Linksys, and that this is just my opinion:
My opinion is that the first routers to show up with "final wireless N" firmware will likely be new routers. This is because there is competitive pressure in the market place for manufacturers to start selling new routers with "final wireless n" firmware. I am sure everyone wants to be the first to apply a sticker to the box proclaiming "This router meets the final wireless N standard", or something like that. After new routers are on the market with this firmware, then the manufacturers will have time to start updating older routers.
Also note that "draft-n certified" devices are all reportedly compatible with the final wireless n standard, so, in that case, there might not need to be a firmware upgrade.

Nokia N78 When Newer Firmware Update

Hi!
I have a Nokia N78 with v12.046, the last firmware, and this FW have a much bugs. When Nokia release a new firmware for Nokia N78 to solve the much bugs that this version of FW have ?

the new soft ware have huge number of bugs
1- the phne hange at any time and many time in each situation ( play game , open clip, WLAN browsing , and pla pla pal)
2-the power safer just only when i make it 30 sec or 1 min or any time , its start to work after 5 secs only
3- the videwo dont have send option from the gallary , you showld go to photo = all = and after that send the clip
the phone after i turn off need to make turn one 3 tmes or more and may be hanger
and many other bugs
its the most mad phone software
and i reinsttal the soft ware and phormat the memory and every thing still like that

New Firmware Update for Nokia N95 (RM-159 ) :Decem...

Hello All,
It looks like new firmware update is available for Nokia N95 basic model .
Earlier Version of Firmware was : 30.0.015
Now the latest available Firmware was : 31.0.014
When i connected my N95 to PC using PC-Suite, it notified me about this. But when i searched the internet for change log , i found none. Is it right firmware , why Nokia didn't disclose change log, which it used to do it earlier ???
I will wait for 2 more days for official communication from Nokia....

Ok, so no one wants to install this firmware because theyre affraid they loose their freedom?
Somebody should shine a light on this FW, or nokia has

Suggestion for a new firmware (nokia 2630 phone)

Hello,
I've bought nokia 2630, and revealed one weakness.
When i use "go to" menu or some other menus i can't use numbers to
move through menu (then i push "5" i go to point #5 and go in; in my old nokia 6021 this worked fine).
So such thing in 2630 works only in main menu, but not in "go to" or "functions" and some others menus.
I've interested in service center about new firmware, but they said that i have the latest version.
So i decided to post here to ask official developers to think about new firmware there this function will work properly.

I know there is a new firmware for N73ME, my question is, anybody knows when will be release a new firmware for normal N73, with same improvements like N73ME (or more).

Last week I updated the firmware of my E61 to version 2 and I really regret it. (is there anyway of going back to the old firmware? ) I cant stand pressing blue function key when I browse the web on my E61 every single time I want to use a shortcut, it gets reallllly annoing after a few times. I think most of E61 users will agree with me that this 'bug' ruined this update. Also there seems to be a problem with mp3 player. When an equaliser preset is active it goes off every time you change the song and you have to press volume up or down in order to set it on active again. I know there are more bugs in this new firmware but I think those two I mentioned are bothering me the most. I would also be very very thankful if the new firmware will have support for PAP for EAP-TTLS. (or maybe a separate plugin ?) any replies are welcome (especially from the Nokia staff )

The iPad 4, which is now also called the iPad with retina display, essentially replaces the iPad 3, which is no longer available except as a refurbished product. The naming is confusing, as both the iPad 3 and iPad 4 had a retina display. I called my local Apple store, and they said no, but I'm waiting for a call back from a manager to confirm this.

WARNING N95 new firmware release.

I have recently launched the new Nokia N95 firmware, being aware to carefully back-up my data before launched this firmaware.
Unfortunately new N95 firmware launched after having read in vradio.org FAQ, that my player software named "vradio" bought for 20 euros one week later, is now obsolete because of this N95 firmaware.
And the only way is i have to pay fees one more time !
I am horrified to be victim of such swindles.
Two e-mails were send to [email protected], AND [email protected], responsable developper. His answers still waiting.

I don't really know if "vradio" is third party software, because i bought this software few days ago using an url's named "software market".
This url were directly connected on NOKIA official site and unfortunatly this url seems to have disappeared ! ! !
Is there any people who know why "Nokia-software-market" is now not supported by Nokia ?

Vradio software is an application to organize some of web-radio adress in a playlist sort. Until now, it was possible to listen some file's style "winamp.pls" in one click from the web adress without this software ! Now, with the new firmware, i get an error message: "not supported", each time !
While I am now sick of having no access to any free radio/video since my change of this damned firmaware on my N95.
So ATTENTION ! WARNING !
If there is still time for you do not change the firmware . . .
