N78 showing system error when trying to delete pho...

I took photos in my N78 (with the record location option turned ON). Later I moved all the photos to another location(phone memory to memory card) through a file manager software(Xplore).
Later I moved them to my computer using the USB cable.
Now, in the phone, in the "images menu ", the phone still shows the icons(a broken blue icon) for the already deleted photos. Moreover, when I try to delete the photos, it asks for the delete confirmation and when I press Ok, it shows "Generalystem Error".
So, is there any way I can delete all the icons for the already deleted photos ?

Syncronise your phone data with Outlook
Copy (dont use select all) only files you know ar need from mem card to PC
1. format memory card using phones file manager
2. pres " * " , " 3" , "mutimedia key" and "power"  Hold all 4 kyes down untill Nokia saund played
syncronise with PC to bring your datas back,  install aplications you need , paste saved  files from memory card in propper folder

what can be done to avoid getting the following error when trying to delete unused clips in Imovie 09 "the operation could not be completed.  *** -[__NSArrayM insertObject:atIndex:]: object cannot be nil"  I use to get these type of error messages when trying to delete unsused clips from a large event 60 minutes or longer, but now I get this message when trying to reduce a 4 minute event.
Also, does anyone know if there is a limit to the total amount of space that can be taken up by Projects in Imovie 09
Thanks for any help

Zachy,
It goes something like this...
Put your new drive in the enclosure. Use Disk Utility to format it, etc. I'd give it a slightly different name than the original. Let's say you have Old Disk and New Disk as your drive names. Use Carbon Copy Cloner to copy Old Disk to New Disk. Now you should have an exact copy, which you can test by rebooting and holding down the Option key. Choose New Disk from the list and let it boot, make sure all is well.
Shut down and physically swap the drives. Take Old Disk and put it in the enclosure. Now your system has a new disk with a lot more space and you can reformat your old disk and just use it for large files or whatever.

• 'System Error' when trying to save Form Manager Registry Settings

Hi,
trying to save changes made in the form manager registry settings [Home > Services > Adobe LiveCycle Form Manager > Registry Settings (http://localhost:8080/FormManagerAdmin/registry-cfg-load)], I get an error, which reads:
> System Error
>
The request could not be processed. Please retry the operation. If the problem persists, please contact your system administrator.
Has anyone had this error as well?
The system runs fine apart from the jboss log files being crammed with the well-known and pretty annoying
SpyJMSException.
Does anyone have an idea how to apply changes to the form manager registry settings, if the web ui does not work? Where are the 'form manager registry settings' being stored? Maybe I succeed in changing the settings manually at least without having to re-install Livecycle...
Regards,
Steve

We are using JBoss 3.2.5.
Weirdly, last week a collegue of mine was able to save the registry changes. This week, both of us get the 'System error' when trying to save changes. Even using a default Administrator account, we were unable to save changes.
Is there any other way apart from the LiveCycle web UI to change the registry settings without having to re-install the server? Where are these values stored?

• Getting No checksum error when trying to delete uploaded file

When trying to delete an uploaded file I get the following error :-
No checksum was provided to show processing for a page that requires a checksum when one or more request, clear cache, or argument values are passed as parameters.
I have a tabular report displaying the uploaded files with one of the columns showing a delete icon.
When you select the delete icon it has Column Link details of the following
Link Text : <img src="#APP_IMAGES#del.gif">
Link Attribute : &APP_ID.
Target: URL
Url:
javascript:confirmFileDelete(htmldb_delete_message,'f?p=&APP_ID.:11:&SESSION.:REMOVE_ID:&DEBUG.::P11_DELETE_ID:#FILE_ID#');
The above was working till I turned on the Session State Protection.
I believe I need to add a checksum to my url via the pl/sql package apex_util.prepare_url but can someone please show me how to do from my URL????
Thanks in advance
Keith

Keith,
Why not do the following then...
I think confirmDeleteFile is a custom function correct? As the second parameter, just pass in the file ID. Then in the function use JavaScript to set the value of P11_DELETE_ID to the file ID. Then call doSubmit('REMOVE_ID');

• Weird Error when trying to delete a flickr album

http://bayimg.com/GAkNMAAcn
I tried to delete a linked flickr album created through aperture but got this error. No reaction when I click either button, I forced a quit and then tried to delete it again but the same thing happened.
What should I do to delete the album?

That's not an error message that you've posted - that's a dialog box asking you to confirm your deletion request. (Potentially 'saving you from yourself'.)
That aside, the issue is that you can't actually carry out the deletion. A stuck object like this is possibly a good reason to run some [Library First Aid|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3805]...
Or... Have you done any independent album management over at Flickr? If you have, that might have broken the connection between Flickr and Aperture leading to this issue.
Or... Is your software (operating system and Aperture) fully patched?
Hope something here helps.

Gary

• File system error when trying to connect to a network share

I am trying to set up a BB Curve (9350) to access a network share (Applications/Files/GoTo) and am getting a message "File system error".  It does not ask for user/domain/password.  I have this working on another BB Curve.  When it works, it prompts for User Name, Domain, and Password.  Is there a setting on the BES that allows some phones to access the network, but not others?
Thank you.
JerryK

Sometimes the devices can get pushed additional policies on accident basically, I would call the carrier first so you guys don't get charged for support and have them transfer you over to blackberry tech support.  If you have access to the server and the device they might be able to figure out whats goin on.

• System error when trying to update software

Hi please help me ... why is a system error only comin up when i tryin to install updates for iphoto etc

You do not have enough hard drive space to install all those applications.  Reason why you are unable to install.
You need to first do some serious housekeeping.  So forget what I said previously for the time being.  First things first:  Make room!
================
Empty the trash!
Open up your application folder & go through all your apps.  Trash all the apps you no longer want and/or use.
An easier way to do this is to open the Application folder in list view & press the Command+j keys.
In the the dialog that appears, click the "This Window Only" button & the "Calculate All Sizes" check box. Wait a bit until your file & folder sizes have all been calculated, then click the "Size" column to sort your apps from the fattest to the most anorexic.
Get rid of all your photo files you don't want and/or need.  Same goes for those pics off the websites you downloaded (gifs, jpegs, etc.).
Get rid of all your music files you no longer listen too.  Especially, if you already have the actual CDs and/or DVDs or you can later redownload from a website.
Use Spotlight to make sure you got rid of everything.  You can even trash directly from Spotlight!
Drag what you don't want and/or need to the trash.  Better yet, download this neat little shareware app *demo* called AppZapper.  It basically does all the work for you by not only trashing the apps but the apps preference files, caches & all its associated files.
Another software that does the above is AppDelete.  Best of all this software is *free*!
Burn what you want and/or need onto CDs or DVDs.
Not everyone has the  luxury of purchasing an external HD to store their "stuff, junk, music & photos".
You can check with your ISP to see if they offer *free* storage space.  Most if not all do now-a-days.  I store all 5000+ of my music & 500+ music videos in my ISP storage bin. There are thousands if not millions of *free* storage facilities on the web also.  Use your favorite search engine, to search them out as they come in different storage sizes to fit your needs & wants.
Check for duplicate fonts.
Applications>Font Book
Select “All Fonts”
If you see any “black dots” next to any fonts this mean you have duplicates and/or multiple versions of these fonts.
To clean this up, select a “black dotted” font or the Apple + *click* to select multiple dotted fonts;
Edit>Resolve>Duplicates.
What the above does is turns off the duplicates & multiple version fonts.  Not delete them.
More than likely the “extras” were installed by other programs and/or other users.
Clear out font caches
Use FontNuke.  It does all the work for you.  And, best of all it’s *FREE*.
Printer Drivers
Get rid of all the printer drivers you don’t need & use except the ones for your *current* printer(s)/scanner(s).
HD>Library>Printers Folder
If you accidentally threw something out that you needed for your printer/scanner it can be easily obtained from the manufacturer’s website and/or from the CD that came w/the printer/scanner.
Garage Band
Has about 1GB of loops stored.  Get rid of some some them.  You surely don’t use, like and/or need them all.
HD>Library>Audio/Apple Loops>Apple>Apple Loops For GarageBand
Or just get rid of the Garage Band app altogether if you don’t use it.
Get rid of extra languages
Strip your computer down to your “native” tongue. You can do this with a *FREE* utility called http://monolingual.sourceforge.netMonolingual.  Another app that apparently does all the work for you.  I’ve never used it.  However, a lot of users here swear by & recommend it highly. However, there is a warning for *native English speakers*.  Make sure you keep BOTH English and English (United States).
Rule of thumb: You should never let your hard drive get to where you have only 10-15% of space left.
====================
After you make room on your HD, try updating from SU again.
For repairing permissions, detailed instructions are in the OS Help menu.
Short version:  Go to Applications>Utilities>Disk Utility and select your volume and then select Repair Permissions.

• S-1-1-0 Error when trying to delete folders on an NCP Server

Hello:
There are a couple of TIDS that point to this issue.
The TID that references Windows 7 says "reported to Engineering"
Problem:
On trying to delete folders on an NCP Server (does not matter if you are admin or any other user) from a WIn 7 Client you get an error message about needing permission from S-1-1-0 in order to make changes to this folder.
Seems to have been an issue with both XP and WIn 7 at one time but may have been resolved in XP.
S-1-1-0 is the MS SID associated with the group Everyone which prior to XPSP2 included "anonymous" users.
I am assuming that Win 7 follows the behaviour of post XP SP2 in not recognizing "anonymous" users as being members of Everyone thus the error message.
Does anyone have the correct technical explanation for this problem. ?
Renaming the folders allows you to delete them which makes me suspect that renaming alters a SID somewhere.

In our case we are using Client 2 SP2, so it looks like the "bugcat" came back.
In fiddlying with it we have found that renaming a folder and all its sub folders that you may want to delete allows you to do so.

There was a long standing problem with the Novell Client for Windows 7
that wouldn't allow you to delete files which were read-only. An
example would be some of the files located in a Windows roaming profile
stored in a user's home directly on an OES2 server. The XP client
would pop up a message asking if you wanted to do this, whereas on
Windows 7 you could get the error about needing permission. Deleting
from a command prompt worked ok.
Fixes have gone into the latest Novell Client which should address
this. Please make sure you are using Client 2 SP2.

• Error when trying to delete a work status option

I am trying to delete one of our work states and I keep getting an error indicating the "operation has timed-out", has anyone seen this before?
Thanks!

Hi Amy,
Whenever you try to delete a particular work state, it will delete all the work status related information from the database. This means that all the work status previously set for the transactional data will be lost. How many records do you have with teh work status set? You might be getting this error because there might be lot of records for whom the work status has been set.
You might try to first take a bakup of all the work status related information from all the applications, then delete them. And then try to delete your work state.
Hope this helps.

• E71 system error when trying to save new calendar ...

Does anyone know how I can stop this from happening. Every time I try to save a new calendar memo it fails and just comes up with an error saying System Error.
Help please????
Lindsay

I've been trying for some months to get CALENDAR om the Nokia E71 to accept memos,Meetings, etc without getting SYSTEM ERROR message. I've tried backing up data, re-setting phone, re-loading some adat, re-loading all data, etc.
I've now worked out the solution.
Get a new phone, but not a Nokia.
The customer service is lamentable. This error is a basic progrmming error. The fix should take any reputable software programmer 10 minutes to sort out. BUT, it seems that Nokia, having had the punter's money, have moved on to the next release.
On checking the www, it seems that this problem has been around for years, with no known resolution.
This is my first and last posting on this forum.
