N78 - Software bugs ?

Question

Sent my N78 to the service centre located at the east on 25/9/2008..and it is still with them! No solution I guess?
It has been a disappointing and frustrating experience since I bought the N78 two months ago. It was working fine until I upgraded the firmware. So I sent it to two of the service centers located at the east and north. Each time it came back with the same problems: Video playing and photo slide show.
Video playing: Video clip can only play once. When I play it the second time, it has only the audio but no video!
Slide show: While running the photo slide show with MP3 music playing, there is no control over the music volume. Worst still, it continues to play the music even when I ended the slide show! Both service centers had upgraded the firmware and the problems still remain the same. They even sent it to Nokia HQ for further diagnosis but only came back with nothing solved!
I suggested to them to test on a new phone set but only to be told that they do not have a new one for testing??

Hello vikiz, maybe we have some set-backs in language for my mother language is Chinese or even Cantonese.Well, i meant when you want to connect your phone to you PC, you have to use the Data line right?Ok now, just confirm what you are doing:

1,there are two ends on the USB data line,One is connected to the phone,and it's the only port on the phone.
2,the other end of the data line should be connect to the computer USB PORT,right?That's the problem.
=====On you PC, there several USB PORT, DO NOT select the USB ports in front of your computer,try to use the USB port that is located directly on you Mainboard of PC,because if you use front USB PORT, it will cause the lack of power which due to the failure of connection.===================

And you said"The music player sometimes hangs and the phone will restart at times.",
Might be is because of your Media Data Base Files are broken,check if you can reflash your Music Library.BUT!if not , you can try to do this:
USE the "MASS STORAGE MODE"to connect your phone to the computer,then use the explorer to find this directory:
[MEMORYCARD]:\Private\10281e17,you will see“[101ffc31]mpxv2_2.db”and “[101ffc31]pcv6_1.db”this two files.
Delete them both,then reflash the Music Library.
