N79 n-gage games

I recently bought a new nokia N79 and then i upgraded my n-gage version before doing so , I backed up all my data to the memory card and when i started then-gage application it showed no games at all. All though the games are visible in the private folder (in some numbers) when connected in the USB mode .
Please help me .

    i don't know if you can download the apps from anywhere else but ngage for ngage to be utlilized.

  • N86 Lost all N-Gage games after Hard Reset

    I own an N86 and have loved the phone, had some small issues to did a Hard Reset of the phone, lost all my Data including contacts and messages which I don't care much about, but I also lost all my N-Gage games and also the N-Gage Client. Now I am unable to find the N-Gage client anywhere.
    I want to play my games that I have paid for on my mobile again how do I get them back, my fav was Hooked On- COTD, my kids can't live without it

    Ngage has been around for quite a while now and has been "coming soon" for the N73 for as long as I can remember.
    If they're taking this long to adapt it to the N73 it's almost certainly because they're having difficulty streamlining it to work on such a poorly-equipped handset.
    Don't get me wrong. I think the N73's a great little device and I love mine. It's just not up to the task of a gaming platform.

  • Very old n-gage game now need to re-set activation...

    Hi,
    Perhaps there is still someone able to help me with this. I have purchased an activation code for my N82 for the game Hook on Creature of deep. I have recently hard-rest (the one press three buttons while power on ) my cell and re-installed the game by the exe installer  I downloaded before. After the installation, I tried to enter the activation code again and it said too many ... contact customer care. And untill now I know the whole N-gage forum, together with the n-gage site were gone and i don't know what can I do about it. (Since the whole site was gone....)
    Is there any body can help me to reset my serial here? My order number is 0DP782D29KY0U and order date is ： 23/12/2010 13:12:49

  • How can I transfer my N-Gage games from one memory...

    hey there , I have nokia 5320 , and have purchased the game One and installed it on my 1gb memory card that comes with the phone package ... after a month I bought 4gb card and copied all files from the 1gb card to the 4 gb card and put the bigger card in my phone. Now all games work but not 'One' game, when I start the game the phone shows black display and I can only turn the phone of by removing the battery, and then plugging it in again .. Not only that the game does not start but the phone freezes .. can you help me is there another way from installing and purchasing the game one more time ?

  • N79 - problem with central navigation key

    I've got a problem with my N79. The central navigation key refuses to work after I play a N-gage game (hooked on, to be specific). Rebooting helps but it's so irritating.
    Anyone knows how to solve this?

    I tried a couple of other N-gage games - the central key didn't freeze.
    A strange thought vame to me - those games were trial, Hooked on is paid by activation number. And i don't remember having problems when I played Hooked on in trial mode. 0_0
    Aha, I just found another way to unfreeze the central key - the keylock slider. It's much better than rebooting, but not less irritating.

  • N86 games - Why only 2 buttons are avail and not a...

    The top part of the phone which is covered by the slider has 4 buttons (for pic viewing, music and games).
    I found it very convenient to play games with it. However, only the 2 middle buttons are available for n gage games. The top and bottom one are not, and it's a shame cause they could be very useful in some games.
    Why?? and can this be changed somehow so that all 4 buttons will be operatable in games?

    No, it has nothing to do with the phone reporting it to the game. Even if lets say the phone reported the buttons, they will still be useless, and would have no function since the game was only written to have the nav button and two commands. Its like those emulators for PC. When you use a gameboy emulator for example, you only can use buttons for navigation, the "a" and "b" buttons and start select, even if you have like 100 keys, because the game was written to only have those command scripts.

  • N78 - N-GAGE 1.40.1557 trouble after software upda...

    Everything worked fine with my N78, except minor RealPlayer issues, but after software update 12.046 to 13.056 N-Gage application won't launch games, won't uninstall old n-gage ones, won't install new n-gage trials. The phone's application manager still uninstalls other games (not n-gage) but with everything n-gage related it says "removing failed". The purchased games via GPRS/CSD/WAP Vodafone portal run normally like before. Whenever I launch N-Gage and try to run a game it tells me I need to update it or asks me to uninstall a n-gage game but fails the uninstall with "error -2". I downloaded a n-gage trial game via GPRS/CSD/WAP Vodafone but it failed to install with message "file corrupted" - that never happened before. These "error -2", "error -1" and "error -5" keep popping up with everything n-gage related. Everything else works fine as ever. I did two backups of my personal data after emptying the memory card (music and videos) and checked all backup boxes on Ovi Suite 1.0 and 1.1 on my desktop and laptop machines (one computer has internet, the other doesn't). Then after the software update errors I restored one backup with Ovi Suite 1.1. As it failed to correct n-gage problem I re-updated the software to 13.056 with no luck of change. What should I do to bring back n-gage? Thank you.

    I had enough of Symbian S60 3.2 application manager's faulty behaviour (did not install neither uninstall packages) and decided to try the famous last resort code *#7370#, suggested by user samposuv at Antony Pranata's Forum Nokia Blog (http://blogs.forum.nokia.com/index.php?op=ViewArticle&blogId=34687&articleId=93). It worked nicely as it cleansed the phone to the core. As I had previously backed everything up, it was easy to restore all the purchased items at Vodafone portal. Installed n-gage 1.40.1557 once more, as it had been the root of all trouble, as well as the latest version of NetQin free antivirus. The minor RealPlayer issues still persist but they are manageable (I have to wait about 15 seconds before the 2nd read of a video file in order to watch the pictures or else only audio is heard - happens sometimes, not all the times). In the end only have to account the loss of a n-gage file, acquired by a give-away code by Nokia Publishing, so "no biggy". The Speed Dial was just "off" (oops!). Sorry for mistaking 13.052 for 13.056 - mAbAd! PeeaCe!

    Defender on your N95 using wide screen virtualy impossible to play but would look nice. obviously the simpler games should work fine.

  • N81 8GB and N-Gage Aplication/Download! Bug

    Hello all,
    I'm pretty sure someone else experienced this bug. I tried it in several N81's with different firmware versions. I tried lately with the new version v20.0.056 but it still has the same bug.
    Everytime you download something directly to your phone (using download for upgrading nokia maps or using n-gage aplication to download new games), even thou you choose download destination and installation destiation to your 8GB hard drive, a part of your internal memory "goes away". N81 8GB only has 17MB free memory (apart from hard drive), which is very small for such a recent phone, other phones released around the same time (late 2007) have around 60's and 120's MB's.
    If you try to upgrade nokia maps through download! and install couple n-gage games, your internal memory goes under 1MB, which causes great instability on the phone performance. Only way to fix it is format your internal memory (using *#7370#) but your nokia maps goes to v1.2 again.
    I really hope you can reproduce this bug and fix it. Its really anoying having wireless in a phone but you can't use it to "tweak" your phone due to memory issues.

    Well, the most cool feature is the animated menu, with fades, similiar to N78 and 6220c. The rest i didn't notice much, n-gage already coems installed and Navi Wheel still doesnt work very good (expectable thou, since it was the first phone to have it).
    My N81 is still mainly for music, the rest i'm not using much. The music player has been stable since the 1st FW version and i gotta say, it rocks using with BH-604 =D
    By the way, updating your N81 doesnt delete your phone information (at least in most cases ), just backup your information in case your phone doesn't start up after the update.
