N79 + N800 DUN problem

I am not sure if this is the right section of the forum to post this problem.
Whenever I use my n800 to DUN with my n79 i will encounter, after a period of time no internet connection.
however the n800 still shows its still connected to the n79 via DUN.
When the problem occurs its entirely random, it may happen a few mins after dial up or even a few hours.
when it does occur I will have to disconnet the bt connection via the n800. Attempting to dial in again via the n79 will normally fail. only after resetting the bt on the n79 then will i be able to dial in again.
It seems that it might be a BT problem on the N79. not sure if its a hardware or sofware problem.
using the n800 and n79 with my other phone (E51) and PC gives me no problems
N800 + E51 => no problems
PC (Win xp) + N79 => no problem
the n79 has software version 11.049.53.1
does anyone has any idea what the problem might be?

Try a hard reset. If it fails, then you have to take your phone to a Nokia Care Point.
Hard reset. Turn off the phone. Press and hold three keys together, the green key, the '*' key and the number '3'.Then, turn on the phone and don't let the three keys before you see the Nokia hands logo.
For 5800 XM hard reset need different keys. The green key, the red key and the camera button.The process is the same.

Nokia n79 navi-wheel problem.

my nokia n79's navi wheel isnot working. its on from setting, navi light is glowing around center button but navi wheel is not give any response. my software version is 32.001, its a t-mobile unlocked fone.

Here are a couple of things to try (in this order):
Turn off phone, remove battery for 5 seconds, replace, turn on phone.
Adjust naviwheel setting to OFF, leave Settings application (return to standby), then open up Settings once more on turn naviwheel back on.
The naviwheel, as you might know, does not work across all applications; nor does it work beyond a certain "depth" of menus. You should test it at the "root" (first) level of the Menu application. If it doesn't work there, perhaps you need to back up your settings and data and reinstall your phone software. But first: do you have any applications which allow for key shortcuts or special key mappings? There could be a conflict there.
Finally, there have been problems with an electrical component behind the naviwheel, but this is more commonly associated with a general keyboard lockup.
Good luck, and maybe someone else will have some additional suggestions...

Nokia n800 wlan problems

Just was looking for some insight on my n800, the wlan is not able to locate access points what it use to be able to. I am stumped on how to get this to work or just to send it in for repairs. Is there anything I can do to resolve my issue.

N79 Video REcoding problem

Hello All,
I purchased my N79 5 days back. I am happy with my device.
But when i started exploring Video recording i found recording freez in between for a short while(.5 - 1 sec) and continue agai. When i play the recording the same is displayed.i.e. recording is not continuous.
Can anyone else having the same problem and solution?

Try a reset.
Factory settings reset. In standby, dial *#7780# and the phone's lock/security code (the nokia's default security code is 12345). This reset restores phone's original settings.
Soft reset. In standby dial *#7370# and the phone's lock/security code. Soft reset deletes ALL your phone's data.
Hard reset (the three key code/reset). Turn off the phone. Press and hold three keys together, the green/talk key, the * key and the number '3'.Then, turn on the phone and don't let the three keys before you see the nokia hands logo/nokia boot up screen.

N79 - Intermittent freezing problems

My problem started when i was using the browser. Suddenly it freezes and any key presses has no response. I off and on to reset but it work for a second then freezes again. I did a #*7370# with no help. Eventually I did a 4 finger reset and managed to get everything working again.
But now intermittently it still freezes and sometimes the selections keeps skipping to the next selection like a key git stuck. I have to off/on to get it working again.
Sometimes I also get the message that memory is low and I should delete some messages...or something but upon checking the phone's memory it is still free with 45MB and 6GB in my card. Again, I have to off/on to make it work again. It shows this memory full message when Im opening a text message. I cant read it until i off/on the phone.
Im on the 11.049 version

I am located in Malaysia. I am Chinese too.
Anyway I have not gone back to Nokia Service Center. I hope to solve the problem by myself. I will try to hard reset it again.
The problem is its so intermittent that its very difficult to determine what causes it because sometimes the problem changes. Sometimes I have to take out the battery to reset it. Sometimes just off/on will do the trick. Sometimes the key moves rapidly like its stuck and sometimes it just frozen and no key presses will do anything.
Have you taken it back to Nokia?

Nokia N79 FM Transmitter Problem

Hi guys,
I'm from India and purchased an N79 about 6 months back.
I have updated my firmware to the latest 32.001.
However I seem to have a problem with the transmission of the FM Transmitter.
Earlier in firmware versions 11.XXX and 20.XXX the signal from the FM Transmitter used to be very clear, and the output from the speakers very neat. Almost as good as the car music system. However with the update in firmware, the signal is really low and there is a lot of disturbance when I'm transmitting. I tried to use different frequencies to transmit, but the result is the same. Kindly help me guys. I really love this phone and this application. Hope to get a solution soon.

2nd Level Dunning Problem

I have configured the two level dunning procedure. Configuration settings are as follows:
(a) Defined the Dunning Area
(b) Defined the Dunning procedure in the following manner:
Dunning Interval in days - 1
No. of Dunning Levels - 2
Total Due items for Dunning - 0
Minimum Days arreas - 14
Line Item grace period - 14
Selected -> Standard transaction dunning
Under Dunning Level Tab
Days in Arrears - 14 & 35
We are not using interest & no penality charges.
Assigned the Dunning Test with the following combination
Observations during Testing :-
(1) Customer sales invoice posted on 01.03.2011 and due date is 01.03.2011
(2) 1st level dunning carried on 21.03.2011 and dunning run and print out is success
(3) 2nd level dunning carried on 30.04.2011 .... here the system is showing the dunning run log
     Document number XXXXXX (same document what i have posted on 01.03.2011) has now dunning level 2
     But the system is (a) Not checked the Dunning notice / dunning area for customer
                                   (b) Not checked the Dunning procedure
                                    but shown as job finished
    If i continue the print out option - the sytem is showing 0 dunning notices are read & not customer dunning history updated
Kindly let me did i missed any configuration ? Altenatvely if i want to do the debug with the help of ABAP.. in which program i need to maintain the Break point

Dunning Problem

There is an error that is below in transaction F150
Error : Customer X is blocked by dunning run 20080430
In fact ,The job for dunning 01052008- SADTE has been deleted and last dunned 01052008 on customer master data.
There is no dunning run on this date-20080430 .
What do you recommended me ? Thanks.

We implemented OSS note186095 but now we have another error that is 'for X customer ,there is no dunning procedure exists, can not be dunned.'
In customer master data dunning procedure is filled.
What do you recommended me ?
Also what is the differences between to run ' individual dunning notice' and 'Run with identification ' ?

N79 photo browser problem

When all (photos) is selected, the number of photos changes up then down. The picture looks blurred when viewing low res shots transferred from the computer, far more res than the screen res of the N79 though. Sometimes they look OK then the next time blurred.The captured photos (taken with the phone) seems OK. The back button doesn't work, options>exit is needed to get the phone working again. I think maybe the original software has become corrupted. Is there a reset or refresh library command for photos like there is for music? I've checked the card with a test program - no errors. (res= resolution). I just bought a one year maps licence, I don't want to lose that.
I took it to the phone shop and they said they can reset it to original but is there a quick fix?

N79 - Music Player Problem

I have stored my songs in 1 folder and other sound files in another folder. Problem is that, music player scans all folders, due to which, these other sound files are shown along with song files.
I want that only my songs to be shown in music player and not other sound files.
How to make music player to scan a particular folder only ???

It is a bit of an inconvenience, but you do have the most control over which music selections play when and in which order when you organize them into separate playlists. In doing so you can also override the limited way in which the Nokia Music player orders tracks (due to the way it interprets mp3 tags) within an "Album".

N79 network signal problem

hi guys,i have recently bought a n79 phone just a week earlier and now i am facing a probem with the device.The network signals and the operators name just disappears suddenly any time and then signals never come back till i switch it off and then switch it on.i used a samsung phone earlier with the same network operator and no such probem ever occured.

could be an old sim card if its two years old or so it might be wise to get a new one, also can you exchange your unit or go to nokia care and see if they can make some assessment as to what might be going on ?

N79 Profile Setting Problem

I've just got N79 and I set my profile to "Meeting" and I found that:
When I set my Ringing Type to "Beep once" or "Silent" with "Vibrating alert ON". My phone does not vibrate at all.

Problem of downloading mobile messenger of N79

N78 software update issue

Hi, I just updated the firmware for my new N78, after updated , the process seem to be slow, now my camera can't use the zoom buttons, and my theme look not good and not interact as before.

I didn't find any way back.. i only hope that nokia read this tread and build another firmware with all bugs fixed.. Overall i prefer v12.146 cause the navy scroll and right soft key is now working correctly.
Or might be you can sell your phone, and buy the new N78 with old firmware.. or buy N79 with no problems found (yet).
Have you ever try to change your camera default storage to Phone memory and restart? Is the zoom problem still exist?
By the way, if you wanna have a fast application, i suggest you to install application in phone memory not in MMC.
