N8 Belle instaled without user confirmation

I was just plug the usb cable to my N8 just to charge it to my computer as i always do every day cause battery sucks.
after an hour my friend call me to my other phone and he tell me that my N8 is out of reach or it is turned off.
So, immediatly, i went to my room, check my N8 screen and i saw a message to ask for my PIN.
after inserting the PIN, phone ask for my security number (???) and.... **bleep**?
welcome to Symbian Belle!
who do this? without user confirmation? why?
This is Illegal and it called Piracy!
my conatcs and photos where there by all my apps, wifi settings etc where lost.
Thank you Nokia, that's very clever! next time F**k  all my stuff and my computer too.
The bigger problem is that there is no Greek language support. I can read Greeks but i Can't write, and menus are all to English
Please help me because.... (*&^$##%^) aaarghhhhhh!
Bytheway, Symbian Belle is stupid, slow, and ugly.
also, i am living alone, so, no one is messing with my computer

@gask10
Whilst default setting within Nokia Suite is to launch application upon connecting device to PC I have never heard of it "clicking" on update confirmations by itself!
If Greek language pack had been previously added to device this would unfortunately be lost upon updating to Symbian Belle.

  • Updates Install without user intervention

    Hi All,
I am currently using WSUS and GPO's to push updates to our Windows 2008 R2 Servers.  We just began doing this within the last couple of months and have created the GPO to "auto download updates and notify for install".  The only other
relevant setting is "reschedule Automatic updates scheduled installations" is set to 15 minutes.  Based on our setting of "notify for install", I would not expect this setting to have any effect.
Now twice in the last week, individual server administrators have been working on their servers, rebooted for whatever reason and then they report to me that Windows Updates are installing without their approval.  Anyone have any ideas how this could
    happen?
    Thanks

"I'm absolutely sure they didn't either. That's my exact point. The user does not "initiate" an installation of downloaded updates when the system is shutdown/restarted from the Start Menu -- it happens automatically since Windows 7 SP1."
If this is the case it explains what's happening and I have to stop this.  What settings then can I use to install the approved updates only if the sys admin initiates it?
There are two ways to approach this:
Configure the WUA to "Notify for Download" (AUOption='2'). As a result, the sysadmin will need to perform two tasks: [1] Download the updates (at which time the Install Updates and Shutdown consideration is in effect, and then [2] Install the updates when
desired. This implies planning in advance to allow for the download time, and then planning for the installation event.
Use the Command Prompt to reboot the server: SHUTDOWN /R /T which will completely avoid the installation of any updates already downloaded.
Personally I would offer this argument for consideration: Why is a sysadmin rebooting a server without consideration for the fact that updates might be pending installation? Most organizations I know
only restart servers as a function of installing updates, usually during scheduled maintenance windows. Any other activities that require a system restart are deferred until that scheduled maintenance window.
A corollary to this is also: Why is a sysadmin unfamiliar with patch state of the system they're responsible for?

  • Force Apple Software Updates to Install Without User Intervention?

I have a Mac server (Yosemite 10.10.2) that pushes certain Apple software updates to my client iMacs (Mavericks 10.9.4).  For example I want to update the Apple Remote Desktop client on all of the clients.  Once I log into a client machine I see that the update is available and has been received from my Mac server.  The problem is that it is not installed.  It appears that I would have to visit each machine and log in and then click install to get this done.  I have to believe there is a way to get this done without having to visit every machine.  Any ideas would be appreciated.

You might want to look at implementing Munki. Munki is mainly intended as a means of distributing both initial Application installs, but also updates for those applications, e.g. Microsoft Office. It can however also automate installing Apple Software Updates. Importantly it does not require the end user to ever enter any administrator details to allow these updates to be installed.
    See https://code.google.com/p/munki/wiki/AppleSoftwareUpdatesWithMunki

  • Give ZEN app file system rights so can install without user login

    ZfD 6.5.2 NW 6.5.5
Is it possible to give an app rights to the file system on a Netware
box to find the msi it needs to install even if there isn't a user
    logged in to the workstation?
We have an app associated with workstations and when we tried to push
it a number of installs failed because the users were logging on
    workstation only.
This is also relevant to apps which install as "unsecure system user"
because they do not inherit the logged-in user's Netware file system
rights. In the past we've given the [public] trustee rights in order to
get round this problem but would like a better solution.

  • Google safe browsing: meaning of "malicious software being downloaded and installed without user consent"

    As an example, see http://www.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=google.com
What does this phrase mean? Is it a browse-and-get-owned exploit? Is it for outdated browsers, or modern browsers too? Does it require specific vulnerable plugins to be active, such as Java?

Read the following about "drive-by downloads". Item 2 at the top of the page. User does not need to click on something on the infected page for a download to occur. Simply visiting the page is enough for the download to occur.

  • Itunes deleting apps without request and without asking confirmation

as soon I install itunes, I have a huge slow down of all XP. Installation takes a long time, it freezes XP very often. Once it s installed, it takes a long time to start (often more than 1 minute), often freezes XP. quicktime steals the default access for mp4 files, each time I try to use explorer on a folder with MP4 files, xp freezes for minutes, it never shows previews, takes a long time to start when it effectivly starts, reads a lot less than open readers like vlc or mpc. when I try to set another reader as default reader for MP4, quicktime keeps the hand on it, cannot get rid of freezes withoout deleting quicktime, witch make itunes unavailable
LAST BONUS: after having reinstalled itunes to sync my contacts, it tried to sync the apps without beung asked (maybe because i dowloaded 2 apps on my computer) and STARTED TO DELETE ALL OTHER APPS WITHOUT ASKING CONFIRMATION DELETTING ALL MY DATAS
    TOO MUCH FOR ME
    BYE ITUNES

No, they actually thought that people would use autosync and have one master library. They didn't think that people had 3 or 4 computers that they would spread their music/videos over. Why not combine all your files on one computer?
As far as music/videos from your Aunt's computer, those aren't yours and the other reason for Apple doing what you want is they don't want people stealing music. Please don't steal music.
One more thing, on your master computer that the iPod is linked to, set it to manually manage your music and you can use it between different computers. You will have to eject it manually every time you are through syncing/charging and want to remove it.

  • Photoshop Elements install- forgot user name

I had to reinstall my syatem on my IMAC and Photoshop Elements would not work correctly after reinstalling the system. I deleted it  and tried reinstalling it from my disk. I dod not remember the User name I used but I did put in the correct serial # as I had written it on my disk. How do I get it to install without the correct username?
    Macauley808

PSE doesn't require your adobe ID. If you're having problems with the welcome screen nagging you, just go into the applications folder and launch the editor and/or organizer and then click the dock icon and choose Keep in Dock. Then launch it from there in the future. You don't say which version of PSE, but the editor is in Applications>Adobe Photoshop Elements>Support Files for the past couple of versions.
If you mean your photoshop.com account, that would be migrated to adobe revel, so there's no direct connection to photoshop.com anymore from within PSE.
Or are you having a problem with your serial number being rejected? If so, what is the error message?

  • Why is plugins installed without my consent? And why is it so hard to remove them completely? Example: Ubisofts Uplay plugin

I recently noticed that I have some plugins installed in my Firefox that I didn't even know I had. I remember accepting MS Silverlight and Adobe Flash, but I can't remember ever saying yes to Google Update and the two versions of Ubisofts Uplay plugins. One which I disableled now and made me write this complaint. I assume these plugins got installed in Firefox when I installed related programs. However I never got notified that this was happening. I didn't even know I had the first Uplay plugin installed which had a big security flaw. Which is now disabled by defalt from your side. I have better things to do than to check which plugins are magically installed on Firefox.
My question is why is some plugins installed without Firefox notifying the user that it has been modified? In my view a browser should not make changes without notifiying the end user, and Firefox should not trust that other programs do that.
A small related question is why there is no good way to remove a plugin it completely from firefox? Why is there no button that I can click that erases it like it is on addons. I don't want to risk plugins activating again when firefox updates or I reinstall. When your support suggestion is to manually edit the registry then it is clearly not good enough.

You should be able to see the file path of all plugins including plugins that are blocklisted by looking in the pluginreg.dat file in the Firefox Profile Folder.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
*Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder

  • Generate a Report Dynamically without User Intervention and Output to XML

Here's the scenario for which I am trying to find a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have a series of reports that the users generate from a UI by selecting the report, setting the values for a list of parameters, and then click a submit button. The report is generated in the UI for them to view. They can print it from here or export it to Excel.
They would like to be able to schedule a report to run daily without user intervention using a saved set of parameters. The system would run the report automatically and email it to a defined set of email addresses.
To do this, we need to have the report generated in a string or xml so a Java process can read it and email it.
I see that I can change a report's template to export:xml so I feel that it is possible. How can I export a report to XML without user intervention? Can the report template be changd dynamically at runtime? Ideally, I need some way to call this same report and have it output as a string data or xml to be used by a Java process that would store and generate the report for email.

    Hi Kumar,
From Program1 you are calling Program2, using submit syntax (inside Program1).
While using submit, if you have correctly filled up the selection screen of program2, then it will AUTOMATICALLY get executed, WITHOUT F8.
If there is any compulsary field in program 2, which does not get populated, then it will not run automatically, or unless some special code is written in program2.
If you do not want the output of Program2 on screen, then u can use
    SUBMIT Program2 AND RETURN.
In that case, no selection screen (of program2) will appear and neither the output of program 2.

  • Can You Play Multiple Playlists Without User Intervention

Can you stack and play multiple playlists? ie if you had three playlists of 50 songs each, could you pick all three, play all the songs in the first playlist, when it is finished move automatically to the second playlist play its songs then automatically move to the third without user intervention? And if so, can you play each of these in shuffle mode?

There's no "impromptu" method of doing so that I know of.
As far as un-impromptu methods (it's always fun inventing words), it will depend on whether you want to listen to this mega-playlist on an iPod or just with iTunes.
If it's just with iTunes, you can go to the File menu > New Folder command and create a new folder which we can call the Mega-Playlist folder. Drag the three playlists in question into that folder. When you select that folder and press Play, iTunes should go through all the songs.
If it's on an iPod, since Folders don't transfer over from iTunes, the only solution I know of would be to create a Smart Playlist with iTunes that will -
Match any of the following rules:
Playlist is the first playlist +
Playlist is the second playlist +
    Playlist is the third playlist.
Synching this mega-playlist to your iPod will allow you to select it from the Playlist menu.
Shuffle mode would shuffle songs from all three playlists together, not shuffle songs from the first playlist before moving on to shuffling songs from the second playlist before shuffling songs from the third playlist.
