N8 Bluetooth - AVRCP 1.4

Hi,
Any one knows whether Nokia N8 supports Bluetooth AVRCP 1.4 version?
Thanks

Sounds like you're describing a product from the old USSR.
Another feature missing from the N8 is what Damian Dinning mentioned while discussing the N8's camera with GSMarena:
If you prefer the more processed look, you can adjust the color and sharpness settings on-the-fly and the Nokia N8 will remember those settings for the next time you start the camera.
I can't get this to work on my N8. Does it mean that the feature is there but I can't use it?

  • Bluetooth AVRCP on Mac OS X

I have a question about Bluetooth AVRCP on Mac OS X (AVRCP is the Audio/Video Remote Control Profile, which is part of the Bluetooth specification).  I am using a Bluetooth headset with the Spotify app on Mac OS X.  The combination works well and I'm very happy with the sound quality.  However, the Play/Pause and Track Forward/Backward controls on the headset have no effect on Spotify.  Instead they cause iTunes to start.  The AVRCP functions of the headset work properly in other situations, such as with an iPad, so I don't think there is any problem with the headset. I read a number of other posts about AVRCP with Spotify, but I did not find any that addressed this specific case.  I don't know if this is an issue with Spotify, Mac OS X, or both.  Does anybody know what and/or where the problem is? Here are the technical details: MacBook Pro, early 2015, Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.4, Bluetooth 4.3.5f8.Spotify 1.0.8.59.gee82e7e6.Sony Wireless Stereo Headset, MDR-ZX770BT, Bluetooth 3.0. Thanks in advance for any help.

But what about my wireless mouse? It's a Microsoft and when it's plugged in, additional boxes come up so I can select Button 1 for Expose, or Button 2 for Dashboard, etc... Are you saying this will absolutely not work with a Microsoft Bluetooth mouse? I contacted the seller about and he said it does support Mac but I'm still not sure...

  • BB10 Support for Bluetooth AVRCP 1.4??

    Hi guys,
This is something that has been bugging me for a while and I could not find answers anywhere else on the internet regarding this.
AVRCP 1.4 is the evolution of AVRCP 1.3, which enables bluetooth connected devices (eg.: a cars infotainment system) to search through the phones music playlists, display album art, playlist information and etc.
As it seems to me, this is not supported by the latest official OS release.
My question is: Is this in BlackBerry's TO-DO list?? iOS7 and Android KitKat both support the AVRCP 1.4 bluetooth profile, which makes me wonder why BB has not enabled this yet?
I attach the link to a pdf explaining everything there is to know about AVRCP 1.4
BB, please make this work !!!!

  • ICS and Bluetooth AVRCP Profile

I had to flash back to Gingerbread due to the USB tethering wi-fi hotspot issue.  Prior to doing so with ICS I got artist, track and album info displayed on my car stereo when streaming via Bluetooth.
Well that is GONE now (w/ Gingerbread) and I am using a new Sony car stereo I got just after the ICS update in order to have this feature!
SONY MOBILE WHY ARE YOU NOT MAKING ANY COMMENT ON IF THESE ICS BUGS WILL BE FIXED?  These are NOT the performance issues which we were 'warned' about when updating.

  • IOS6 bluetooth connection with car stereo

With my iPhone 4S running iOS5, my after-market car stereo bluetooth was able to read my song name, artist name, ect. Now that I upgraded to iOS6 my Kenwood receiver cannot read this data while connected via bluetooth. Since the data can't be read, the steering wheel control to search/skip a song forward or back also no longer works. I tested the car stereo last night with an iOS5 phone and it worked correctly, so I know the problem is related to the bluetooth iOS6.

  • Finally got AVRCP working!!!

Great job guys and just in time!
Back in July I posted this somewhere (I thought it was here, but it might have been another Discussion)...
Hey guys. I really hope you hear us soon. I don't know why Bluetooth AVRCP is only partially implemented even in iPhone 4.0, but it goes beyond a mere convenience issue. For many of your customers it is a legal issue and for all of us who enjoy the freedom of using stereo bluetooth for handsfree in our vehicles, it is a HUGE safety issue. Perhaps all it will take are a few traffic related deaths for you to make such a miniscule change. The technology has been there for 5 years or more. Don't you think it's about time? I'll make you a deal... If it isn't implemented by the time 5.0 is released, I'll be moving to an Android based device and getting away from my ridiculously inflated AT&T iPhone plan.
    There's my two cents,
    Todd Rasmussen
    iPhone fan (losing the faith)
Now it works great and I can skip forwards and backwards with my headset and I don't have to worry about crashing my car while fumbling with my iPhone anymore. And they even got it done before the release of 5.0.

I guess this came out in September. I got laid off in September, so it probably wasn't at the top of my priorities. But thanks again. I REALLY needed you guys to get this implemented, and you did!

  • Need help with new SoundBlaster ROAR SR20 or it goes to the trash. [Bluetooth]

Hey Guys, I just recently purchased a the Sound Blaster ROAR SR20 and even after 2 days of owning it and countless searches for help, I've come to no conclusion of why i cant get my laptop to recognize it [Bluetooth] and allow me to download any drivers for it. I have tried Connecting it VIA USB 3.0 whereas the drivers said they were successfully installed [and it works over USB] but when i attempt to re-connect via Bluetooth it shows that 3 separate Bluetooth Peripheral Device Drivers are needed and not installed. I am currently running Windows 7 (64x) Professional and have tried already using this method but with no luck.

Attached [hopefully] is a image/screenshot file of the drivers it is showing errors for.

Ok so i purchased a aptX enabled dongle, installed the drivers from a mini CD, and now when i connect using the CSR 4.0 Bluetooth driver that now shows up on my taskbar, a pop up displays saying that Im now connected to an aptX enabled device.
Now my problem is that under properties (when selected for playback) i notice that now my advanced settings are drastically...well...crappier. Meaning that the Default Format sampling rate is Locked at 1 Channel, 16 bit, 8000Hz which is telephone quality, and it sounds like telephone quality.
However when connect using my built in Bluetooth adapter my Default Format sampling rate is 2 Channel, 16 bit, 44100Hz which is CD quality and i have the option only one other selection....2 Channel, 16 bit, 48000Hz which is DVD quality.
One would think that the so called legendary aptX codec would allow for a higher sample rate so I am wondering if this is user error or perhaps i have an outdated driver (a problem since CSR updates/drivers are no where to be found on the internet)
Im Hoping that maybe you can help me resolve this issue since Ive hopefully narrow down the list of possible errors
Hope to hear back from someone soon
    Thanks,

  • Lumia 820 + Creative WP 350 bluetooth headset issu...

    Hi,
I have tried using Creative WP 350 bluetooth headset as hands free, but the microphone sound is unclear and speech very hard to understand. Sound is muted and fuzzy. Voice quality is much better with couple of other brand phones (Android 2.3 and S40)
I have tried resetting the headset and all the official updates have been installed in Lumia. Is there anything that can be done, or will this headset be incompatible with Lumia 820?
    Technical information of WP 350:
Bluetooth Version: Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR (Enhanced Data Rate) Supported Bluetooth Profiles: A2DP (Wireless stereo Bluetooth), AVRCP (Bluetooth remote control), HSP (Headset profile), HFP (Hands-free profile) Audio Codec: aptX, SBC

    Does ANYONE have a solution?

  • IOS5 A2DP and AVRCP *****

    Hello,
I just updated my iphone 4 from iOS 4.3.5 to iOS5.0.
I' m using it a lot to stream audio from the iDevice to my car radio through Bluetooth using Bluetooth A2DP and AVRCP profiles.
For info, my car is a Renault Scénic with build in Bluetooth radio.
This was working perfectly with iOS 4 (up to iOS4.3.5):
    - Audio streaming was going smoothly
    - Audio automatic suspend/resume when some alarm from the embedded navigation TomTom based system suspended the audio streaming
    - AVRCP commands for "next track" and "previous track"
Since I switched to iOS5.0 in the exact same material configuration:
    - Audio streaming is still going smoothly
    - But audio automatic suspend/resume when some alarm from the embedded navigation TomTom based system suspended the audio streaming is now pretty bad: it takes several second for the audio stream to resume when suspended
    - AVRCP commands for previous track" is not working anymore
Hope the iOS dev team reads this an correct the stack ASAP.
    Best Regards

    Hello there,
I think now the limitation of the ID3Tag display on the car radio is not coming from Apple but from the devices which is connected to.
Bluetooth standard is defining several profiles:
List is available on Wikipedia there: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetooth_profile
1 - Audio streaming is performed using Bluetooth A2DP profile: stands for Advance Audio Distribution Profile.
This one is the one to really stream the sound. To me, there was an issue on this profile with iOS5.0 and iOS5.0.1, but solved with iOS5.1 on the fact that some delay was present when resuming some song stream, etc.
2 - iDevice control from car radio is based on Bluetooth AVRCP profile: stands for Audio/Video Remote Control Profil.
This is the one also used to transfer ID3 Tags since release 1.3 of this profile.
To me, there was an issue on this profile with iOS5.0 and iOS5.0.1, but solved with iOS5.1 on the fact that rewind, and audio file control was not working correctly.
But now the fact that ID3 Tags are not available on some car radios is due to some limitations on the car radio side, as they may not support AVRCP1.3, but only AVRCP1.x (lower than 1.3).

  • Xperia Neo media server doesn't work anymore with Sony Bravia TV after ICS update!

Xperia Neo (MT15i) updated from 2.3.4 to 4.0.4 (4.1.B.0.431). I did not perform any reset (factory settings) after the update.
Media server does not work anymore with Sony Bravia TV KDL40-NX700. With 2.3.4 it worked correctly before.
When I start the media server on my Xperia Neo and try to view my photos on my Bravia TV it shows connection, I am also able to view different folders on the Smartphone but when it tries to load the photos in any folder on the Smartphone it stops working after a while. Feedback on TV is "cannot connect to media sever". The same procedure worked without any problems when using 2.3.4 before.
Is this a known issue and is there any solution for this?

Wow that is a new one, great find!
I wish I had tested that with my Ray, as I had used the media server feature quite a bit with my DirecTV receiver when on Gingerbread.  But too late, it's on the way back to Sony to get rolled back to Gingerbread.
Too many other problems with ICS that have crippled my device.
    1) Wi-Fi Hotspot does not work anymore
    2) USB tethering does not work anymore
    3) LED notification issues for incoming SMS
    4) Dialer slow to load
    5) HD Video recording skip frames and jitter.
    6) Bluetooth AVRCP profile broke (can't use the play/pause button on my car stereo anymore)
If you have not done so take a look at the above features and see what you turn up.

  • IPod Nano, 1st gen., won't connect with XP

I have a 1 GB black 1st generation iPod Nano. The screen recently broke, so I had to send it in for servicing and they sent me a new one. My old iPod Nano worked perfectly with iTunes and Windows XP. Now, when I try to connect my new one, I guess that since it has a different Serial Number, iTunes nor Windows will recognize it. I called the Apple company, hoping they could help me, but they couldn't and said it was a Microsoft problem. My iPod will charge and everything, it's just that when I try to use the iPod CD, my computer won't recognize the CD either. If you have any suggestions, please post them. I can't wait till I can use my iPod again!

The iPod Nano only has A2DP (stereo bluetooth) AVRCP (controls) and low power Bluetooth profiles. It does not have File Transfer Protocol (FTP) and cannot connect to your phone.

  • Using 2G iPod Touch with Motorola S805 can't skip tracks

I have a 2nd generation iPod Touch running the 3.1.1 firmware and I just recently bought the Motorola S805 bluetooth headphones. For some reason, I can't use the built-in controls on the S805 to skip forward and back through tracks. The play/pause and volume controls work fine. I know that it is not a problem with the headphones because the skip controls worked with my music-enabled cell phone. Is this a compatibility issue on Apple's part by not being standardized with the AVCTP (Audio/Visual Control Transport Protocol) or just an issue that sometimes arises during pairing? Any input would be appreciated.

Unfortunately I found the answer -- apple devices do not full support bluetooth avrcp profile version 1.0. Apple only supports pause/play/stop.

  • TouchSmart 1115dx Pen and Touch not working

VI, like many others over the past year or 2, have had significant issues with the "Pen and Touch" going MIA after the 8.1 update. Initially, all was well, but I have been fighting this for the past 2 months--or more. It is showing that there "is no Pen or Touch Device". I have restored, reimaged, re-everything, pulled new updates--found a BIG error in the Blue-tooth setting (wants to install to SW/Seup rather than SW/Setup folder). Even after changing the destination folder to the correct one, it is not working. My Bluetooth AVRCP Device and the HID Consumer Control device are both in the "hidden" category in the Device Manager and the error message in the properties says "not connected-code 45--reconnect to device". Further analysis shows that there are no problems indicated, but the Update Drivers message says "all drivers are up to date", while the Driver Details shows "no drivers required or loaded." Roll-back and disable buttons are unavailable. If this is a mechanical error, I would appreciate information on where it is located and how to access, as -- of course --my machine is no longer under warranty. PLEASE help ASAP! I have been on the phone with HP support, on chat, in the Windows store, etc--we need this fixed quickly as I teach school and love using the touch device in class!
