N8, can't find a timer...

As silly as it sounds I can't find a timer on my N8... I would like to just put the phone to alarm after say 12 minutes or 2 hours as in my old nokia. I can't find either any free apps to do that on Ovi store, hardly it is possible that there's no timer on a such great phone otherwise...?
So anyone can help me out here?
PS. What about calculator... is there any free scientific ones available? Or any other PDF readers 'cos the one on the phone is laggy....?

For 'timer' I just set a to do note in calendar and set alarm for when I want it to go off, in fact once you've done that, just reset time on it next time you want a short timer.

  • Moved my iTunes library to my new 2TB time capsule, now iTunes can't find the Time Capsule.

Had my iTunes library on my older 1TB Time Capsule. Just bought a 2TB Time Capsule. Moved all the music from the old to the new. But, iTunes tells me now it can't find the server. I've checked the location of the library on the iTunes preferences, to point iTunes to my server. I keep getting an error message that iTunes can't find my server. I've already added the folder on the server to my login preferences, like it was with the older Time Capsule.
I did everything exactly as before but now iTunes can't find my Time Capsule.
Should I have just pointed the login to the server and not the exact folder? I've been working on the solution for an hour now.. Please, can someone here help me?

Is it in the Applications folder?
If so you can open it from there.
If it is you can get back on the Dock by dragging it there from the Applications folder again.

  • TS4268 Please help, I can't find face time and Siri icon on my mini ipad? Just bought it I have the IMessage icon and is able to use it.

Please help, I can't find face time and Siri icon on my mini ipad? Just bought it I have the IMessage icon and is able to use it.

There is no Siri "icon". You access Siri using the Home button. But you may need to turn it on: Settings App > General > Siri. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4992
Same for the FaceTime function (but if it is ON, there will be an icon): Settings App > FaceTime > [turn it on and set you Apple ID. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4319

  • How can I find the time a site was accessed in Safari's history?

I know that Safari's "History" list is in reverse order, that is, most recently visited sites at the top of the list.  How can I find the time a particular site was visited?

As of Safari 5.1.7 there does not appear to be a way to view the time in the browser, but it is still possbile to find from the raw history file. Open /Users/[yourusername]/library/Safari/History.plist in a text editor. Depending on how your text editor reads the file, you may see a lot of garbled text, but you should still be able to find the URL that you want the time for. After the URL you may see the page's title, but should also see a left square bracket followed by numbers.
    Example:
    _?http://www.apple.com/_Apple[377832904.6o
The integer is an Apple timestamp (number of seconds since 00:00:00 UTC on 1 January 2001). Find a timestamp calculator online to get the actual time for your timestamp. In the example above, Apple was visited on Dec 21 2012 at 17:35:04 PST.
    Cheers.

  • HT2292 I can't find apple time service. Where can I download this?

I can't run my iTunes in my computer.
When I click the service tab in the msconfig, I can't find apple time service. Other services are exist. Where can I find or download this service?

"Rebooting" means restarting &, as fruhulda said, that won't cause things to disappear. If you mean you had the hard drive erased & the system reinstalled, you will have to find the original disk with the AppleWorks installer.

  • I installed a new router from my ISP provider and now I can't find my Time Capsule or "Guest" network.  What do I need to do to correct this problem?

I installed a new (and supposedly better & stronger) router from my ISP provider (Verizon) and now I can't find my Time Capsule or "Guest" network.
My Mac is not backing up because it can't find my Time Capsule network & my "Guest" network has also disappeared.
What do I need to do to correct this problem?

You must reset the TC to factory and start over. The TC simply remembers too much from the previous setup to work in the new one.
If your new router is going to take the router role, then the TC will have to be bridged and you will lose your Guest wireless.. the way around this is to use the Verizon router as your guest wireless and the TC as your main wireless.
    The Factory Reset Gen1-4.
Unplug your TC. Hold in reset. and power the TC back on.. without releasing reset for about 10sec. When the status light flashes rapidly; release it.
Be Gentle! Feel the switch click on. It has a positive feel..  add no more pressure after that.
TC will reboot after a couple of minutes with default factory settings and will wipe out previous configurations.
No files are deleted on the hard disk.. No reset of the TC deletes files.. to do that you use erase from the airport utility.
    Factory reset Gen 5
Hold in reset for about 5sec until the status light flashes quickly.
If your AirPort Time Capsule still doesn’t respond, do a similar reset to the Gen1-4.
Unplug your AirPort Time Capsule .. hold in reset and power the TC back on.. without releasing the reset.. wait until status led flashes rapidly.

  • HT1218 Macbook Air can't find my Time Capsule!?!

Bought a new macbook air, it can't find my time capsule for some reason utilizing airport utility.  It was originally set up with another macbook almost three years ago.  Anyone know why this is happening?  I want to set it up to back up my files (macbook air) as well as take advantage of the extra storage/hard drive space for photos and music, etc...

Nevermind, I figured it out myself.  I had a WiFi network and a guest WiFi network.  The timecapsule was on one and my mac on the other.  Once I adjusted them to be the same it fixed the problem.  Thanks for all your help...Not!

  • Mac can't find my time capsule

Macbook can't find my time capsule.  Has been working fine for a few years but now it isn't.  I can connect to the internet but it won't do backups and can't print to printer wirelessly (hooked up through time capsule).  Did a hard reset on the TC.  Light is green but still no luck.  Any suggestions that might keep me from having to go to the Apple store?

When I activate Time Machine and have it do a backup it'll get sSotuck on "preparing backup" with the little clock icon spinning backwards.... and never start the backup.
That could be an issue with the computer hard disk corruption.
    Or corruption in the backup.
Did you turn off wireless whilst this was happening??
That is important to stop double connection.
Do A4 full reset of TM .. and A5 verify of the source and backup disk.
    http://pondini.org/TM/Troubleshooting.html
    Perhaps the other way around.
    The model number is A1302.
So, I'm kinda stumped at this point.
You do know your TC is old.. well beyond the normal useby date..
The power supply may well be on the way out.. this can cause multiple issues as they go flakey just before dying completely.
I recommend you get a USB drive and do a full TM backup to that. If that works fine, and you have nothing in the old backups you want.. (there should not be as TM is not an archival storage system). Wipe the TC disk and start over. You can also archive the existing backup to a USB drive if you want before deletion.
TC is waving the red flag to you.. be thankful you got a warning and take steps.

I can't find my time capsule or primary network (only have access to my guest network)..it's simply not showing in Airport Extreme... I don't want to reset time capsule because I already have important data there.

You must reset the TC to factory and start over. The TC simply remembers too much from the previous setup to work in the new one.

  • HT201250 where can i find the time machine password

Where can i find the time machine password?

    There is no such thing.
If you're backing-up to a network drive (Time Capsule, NAS, etc.), that drive may have a password.
If you're backing-up to an encrypted external HD, you'll need the encryption password.
Please clarify what version of OSX you're running (your profile says Leopard, but you've posted in the Lion forum), what you're backing-up to, and exactly what message you're getting and when (a screenshot would be fine).
