N8 - CONTACT : Unable to read NOTE without being i...
I have the problem of not being able to read the content in NOTE (viewed in contact) that I sync from Outlook 2010 to my N8. All details are viewed in CONTACT but when comes to NOTE, it will need to be in edit mode before I am able to view details. This creates error as I can accidently delete the content written in note when in edit mode.
I had higlighted this issue from the first Nokia 5800 I had and now with N8, the issue still remains.
Turn off shuffle and turn off repeat song.
Tap the Now Playing screen until the scrubber bar (the time elapsed/remaining) is displayed. Just below the scrubber bar;
on the left side are two arrows pointing to each other. Tap the arrows until they are white (repeat is off).
on the right side are two inter-twined arrows. Tap them until they are white (shuffle is off)
Both settings have three positions, so you may need to tap more than once to make them white, which turns off the feature.

I had highlighted this issue to Nokia many times from the time I had 5800 and now N8. In CONTACT, it is showing details of information in sync from Microsoft Outlook 2010 but when comes to NOTE, it does not display the complete detail at all. When I select NOTE tab, it will immediately go to edit mode and then this will create an error to which you can accidently delete the content written in NOTE.
Can anyone inform how to overcome this issue or someone at Nokia Software Development take notice of this please !

Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

I rented a movie teh other night and started the download. It was taking a while so I went to bed. In the morning there was an error message and the movie did not download. I did nothing as I figured I would just try agian another day. A few days later I received my receipt by email. I had been charged even though I never got access to the movie. I tried to access the download again, but can not figure out gow to download the movie agian without being chraged. PLease help.
You could try the Store > Check For Available Downloads menu option. If that doesn't start it downloading then you will need to contact iTunes support (rentals are a one-time only download, so they will need to add it back into your queue).
Try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account (Store > View My Apple ID on iTunes 11) and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that film, click the arrow to the left of it and use the 'Report a Problem' link and fill in details about the problem (iTunes support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours).
Some people have had a problem with the 'report a problem' link (it's been taking people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) - if it does that to you then try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page. -
When I open a pdf file, after a few seconds, it hides the toolbar and I don't know how to get it back. I use multiple monitors and, without being able to grab the toolbar, I am unable to move the pdf file to a different monitor. How do I stop this?

I've created a Cloud Service containing one simple Worker Role. I've configured an EndPoint in the WorkerRole configuration, which allows Input connections via tcp on port 10100.

As you can see, nothing special is being done. I've used the RoleEnvironment.CurrentRoleInstance.InstanceEndpoints to retrieve the current IPEndpoint.
Running the Cloud Service in the Windows Azure Compute Emulator everything works fine, but when I deploy it in Azure, then I receive the following Exception:

I've already tried to configure an internal port in the ServiceDefinition.csdef file, but I get the same exception there.
As you can see, the client can connect to the service (the log shows the message: Client connected with the address) but when it tries to read the bytes from the stream, it throws the exception.
For me it seems like Azure is preventing the retrieval of the message. I've tried to disable the Firewall in the VM in Azure and the same continues happening.
I'm using Windows Azure SDK 2.3
Any help will be very very welcome!

When opening Bridge (CS6) I get the following message: "Bridge encountered a problem and is unable to read the cache. Please try purging the central cache in Cache Preferences to correct the situation" I tried and after selecting purge cache it does not allow me to select OK. Also Bridge keeps saying "Building Criteria" with the spinning wheel and nothing happens. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. Please help:)
Maybe a Preferences reset can help:

It should be on your "Purchases" pane in the Mac App store (if that is where you bought it from). There should be a [ Download ] button there to download it again.

IB Error: Unable to read symbols from "UIKit" (not yet mapped into memory)
I created a simple view program for iPhone, using IB to add a button and a label, once the button is clicked, the label text is changed.
I am able to compile it fine, and ran it. The program/view showed up. But when I clicked on the button, the console showed this message:

I checked UIKit info, it's physically (full path) at:

The relative path to SKD is:
System/Library/Frameworks/UIKit.framework
I'm running the latest SDK beta 8, OS X 10.5.4 latest update.
Anyone had this bizarre problem? I was able to run all Apple samples fine.

THanks!The answer is mentioned in a few other posts, but I thought I'd repeat it here, so that it's easier to find this solution in the future.
I got the same problem trying to build an iPhone-Simulator application using another build process -- in this case, Boost Build. When I tried to run the program, it gave me the same nonsensical dynamic-library error.
The problem is that the application you built for the iPhone Simulator is NOT a real application, even though it looks like one. You need to run it from within Xcode.
In my case, I got around the problem by building the GLPaint sample using Xcode, copying over the executable it generated with the one I generated via Boost Build, then running GLPaint (actually my program now) from within Xcode. Then it worked.
So far, it seems that Macintosh and iPhone are very unfriendly platforms to someone that's trying to port an existing project. Any attempt to do something, without completely buying into the Apple way of doing everything, leads to a torrent of cryptic undocumented errors. Even an old Unix guru like me can't keep up. -

To migrate your data to a new iCloud account go to Settings>iCloud and turn off all synced data (contacts, calendars, etc.), when prompted choose to keep the data on your phone. After everything is set to off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. Next, create the new iCloud account on your phone and turn on syncing for contacts, calendars, etc again. If prompted, choose Merge. This will upload your data to the new iCloud account.
