N8 Fails in hotmail sync

After reinstalling the whole firmware in Nokia Care, everything works fine, except the email app.
VERY STRANGE problem. I can only sync maximum 50 emails in my hotmail account but 250 emails in my yahoo account! The setting are all the same (maximum mails in inbox > 250).
I have tried to delete the account and re sign up it, and i have tried to login with another hotmail account. STILL THE SAME. 50 emails maximum for hotmail accounts. Soft reset has been tried. NO USE AT ALL :-(
How can I solve it? Do i need to reinstall the whole firmware again in nokia care (OMG !)

Try removing all your mailboxes and re-installing the software yourself using Nokia Software Updater or Ovi Suite, and then do a fresh set up for mail, if the Yahoo account is working Hotmail should too, and if it was working before a fresh set up may cure it !

I recently deleted a few gigs worth of photos off my iPhone 4. Ever since I've been having trouble with a few things. All software is up to date. So far here are the things I've noticed that seem suspicious.
iPhone fails to start sync using wifi. It times out on Step 1 (starting sync) or Step 2 (backup). I've tried closing and reopening iTunes, restarting the MBP and iPhone, and deleting my iPhone backup. In some cases iTunes loses the connection to phone and won't come back. It syncs fine using a USB cable, but won't get past step 2 using wifi. I hate wires so I would prefer to do this over the air.
My smart playlists no longer sync. I've tried unchecking the boxes and selecting them again, but nothing. Duplicating an exisitng smart playlist and selecting it to sync seems to have worked for now, but I'm concerned about now being able to add my original playlist. Sounds like a larger issue to me.
My iTunes screensaver on my MBP no longer displays artwork. It says there is no artwork to display, but iTunes still has artwork in it.
I've read numerous threads about all these issues. I know there are many people out there having these problems. I just haven't found a good solution for any of them. Everything was working beautifully until I tried to clean up some old stuff on my phone. Apple is playing dumb according to the people that have contacted them.

iTunes 10.6.3
iOS 5.1.1

Hotmail sync problems - HELP! (Nokia N8 - Anna )

I got a problem with my hotmail sync.
I deleted my account without wanting to, and now i want it back - before I could sync all my folders in the hotmail account, but when i'm trying to make a new account it only syncs the inbox/sent maps? The other maps doesn't even appear on the screen when I go to maps.
How do I set up the account in a way so all maps are sync?

I had two hotmail accounts on my nokia c7. one of them stopped to synchronize. I deleted it and I tryed to reconfigure again but it will not let me. I did a soft reset, a hard reset, installed all updates (anna), but still does not leave me. In nokia care they told me to delete the account in messaging web, before configuring the account in my phone, but it did not work

HT1386 fail to start sync session

So I got a new Macbook and when I went to sync my I-Pod it deleted everything on my I-Pod and the only things I could restore were things on the cloud. I then resynced to my old computer (Dell) to get all the other stuff back on my I-Pod. When I did that I got my stuff back except for the the music I got from CDs. I was then able to successfully put the music, videos, etc. to my new computer. Months later I tried to resync to my old computer, for backup and to try and get my other music back on my I-Pod. However it did not work, I kepted getting a failed sync alert. I then restored my I-Pod and tried to sync, but I keep getting the failed to start sync session message, and nothing is working. When I look on my I-Pod all my pictures are there, and I can see the lists of music and videos I have but they are faint and I cannot tap them to work. I don't know what to do now.

Authorization of my computer fails, can't sync applications

My computer is one of 4 authorized computers for iTunes store. I have downloaded some free apps and 1 bought app that I wanted to install on my iPod Touch (2.2.1).
I have tried:
* Deauthorize and reauthorize the computer.
* Restore back to Factory settings of the iPod Touch
* Clicking on each application under Applications and typed in my password. It responds that I have 4 of 5 computers authorized.
Nothing helps, it's like the authorization is not registered even if it says this computer is already authorized if I try to redo it.
The account I'm logged into is an administration account in Windows Vista so that shouldn't be the problem either.
Any suggestions?
Edit: Maybe this should be under "Installing and Using iPod touch Applications" but I could find a way to delete it or move it.

I said "Authorization of my computer fails, can't sync applications " in the heading but I can try to explain some more.
This is what I did
1. Selected an app at iTunes Store i.e. Flight Control and clicked "Buy" (or "Get App" when it was a free app)
2. Typed in my password for iTunes Store
3. The app is now under "Software" in iTunes.
4. Attach my iPod Touch via USB
5. It sync automatically and a popup comes up saying "Some of the applications in your iTunes library including "Flight Control", where not installed on the iPod "Béatrice Karjalainen's iPod" because you are not authorized for them on this computer."
I searched for solutions on this problem in this forum and people suggested that I should reauthorize my computer bu deauthorize and authorize again. I did that. It didn't help so I continue to search for a solution. Someone said htat I could double click on each application under "Applications" and type in my iTunes Store password there so I did so. When I double click on an app it says "This computer is not authorized for "Flight Control". Would you like to authorize it? And the rest of the ordinary authorization info. I type in my password and press "Authorize" get the following as answer "This computer is already authorized".
I try to sync again, the same as before, my computer is not authorized.
I can't use App Store on the iPod as my wifi-function on the iPod seems to be broken all of a sudden. It just stopped working a couple of days ago. (And I have problems with the battery that is uncharged when listening to audio books within less then 2 hours).
I run iTunes 8.1.0.52.

The Ipad Device ID is the same as it originates from same provisioning file as V1 of app and I have checked it again in Xcode.
I have restarted and re-synced multiple times and it fails each time. Restarted Ipad to reset.

Recreate your Mobile provisioning files. Make sure that while creating the MP files, you have not enabled for iclould and have checked your device to be included in the Mobile provisioning file.

Server failed to hotmail

I first had hotmail as my mail app now it says "cannot get mail" the connection to the server failed" I could download emails at first but now there is nothing in my mail. When I did have mail there, I then had trouble deleting emails

Try to delete and add the account again;
Go to Settings – Mail, Contact, Calendars
Click on Add Account…
Choose Microsoft Exchange
Fill in the fields shown (Leave domain blank and your login should be your email address)
Click next and it will ask for server. Use m.hotmail.com
Choose if you want your email, contacts or calendar synced.

Role creation in OIM 11.1.1.5.0 fails with LDAP Sync Enabled

I am in the process of configuring LDAP sync for OIM 11.1.1.5.0 with ODSEE.
At this time, when I add a user in OIM, I can see that the user gets created in LDAP under the LDAP dn that I supplied when configuring OIM (Configuration process screen name = "LDAP Server Continued", field name = "LDAP User Container")
However when I try to add a role in OIM, the call fails. OIM server logs have the following exception message:

Any idea whats going on?
When configuring OIM, I provided a value for the "LDAP Role Container" as "ou=Groups,dc=mycompany,dc=com". The docs shown an example of "cn=groups, dc=mycountry, dc=com" (see http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E21764_01/install.1111/e12002/oidonly.htm#CDDDIAIC, step 18). Could this difference in container type be causing this problem?
Any idea where OIM stores this container information if I wanted to test ldap sync with the different roles container?

After itunes update my ipod touch is not syncing correctly first I got error message..ipod failed to complete sync because connection was lost..now it wont sync new music

After recent itunes update my ipod touch 4 is not syncing properly...I got error message twice "ipod failed to sync properly because connection was lost, please try again"... it continued acting weird, now when i click on "sync now" it says preparing to sync, it goes through steps quickly says sync finished but it doesnt update.. can anyone help?

Custom contact ringtones removed when using Hotmail sync

I sync my Hotmail contacts with my iPhone. Every so often, custom ringtones that I've assigned to various contacts are removed from the contact ... kicking it back to the default ringtone. I'm guessing it's a problem in that Hotmail doesn't recognize them. And when manually (?) synced, Hotmail and/or the iOS remove them due to attribute incompatibility. Should and/or can Apple developers fix their software to accomodate this?

And upon upgrading to the (current) iOS 6 ... the custom ringtones and text alerts have once again disappeared.

Failed Exchange Server Sync Question

Hi all my exchange server has failed so had to replace it which I have now done but im unsure about the phones. All the users phones still have the contacts and emails on but there Outlooks are effectly blank.
If I sync the phones will I loose all the info on the phone as it will sync with the blank mailbox or will it copy all the items from the phone to the mailbox?
Any help would be great.

Mailboxes and email are completely separate from contacts.
When a connection is reestablished with the Exchange Server, if the same messages on the iPhone that are available in what was the server stored mailboxes with the server that failed are not available with the new server - no backup of the server that failed is available, all messages on the iPhone will be lost. What is available at the server takes priority in this situation.
The same applies to contacts.

For the group synchronization to work successfully during resync, both the user and group should reside at the same level in the synchronization scope. Otherwise, it displays an error.
But the AD's DIT exists and can't be altered. Groupos and people are in different branches that is a common design as soon as you leave the default "put all in CN=USERS"
Is there a workaround?

6230i is rather old phone, so if you had a version of pc suite that worked with it, try to find it and use that,maybe the newest pc suite no longer supports well 6230i (altough I have seen it in the forum here that it does work. You have something special in your setup that prevents it from working but difficult to guess what.
And if you like to get official Nokia support, contac NOkia care, this is end user forum, you will not get official Nokia help from here.

i've found a great & simple solution for this problem
just open your iCloud acc on iPhone
turn off calendars (it wil ask you to keep info or not - KEEP IT!)
and turn back on (MERGE!)
now SYNC it..
and that's it
PS in my case it was contacts so the procedure is the same..
