N8 geotagging (GPS location info) with video not a...

Why does my N8 have a setting which I can enable or disable capturing geolocation information for videos if it doesn't actually do it?
My original firmware (PR1.0 ?) had the option.
PR1.1 had the option.
PR2.0/Anna had the option
The betalabs camera update for Anna also has it.
When you finish recording a video, you get the preview screen where you can play it back right away. If you hit OPTIONS->DETAILS, and then scroll down to LOCATION, you will see lat/lon information there (if you have a gps link). Nowe exit out of the preview and camera app and go into your recorded video listing. Find this video and see if it has GPS info. It doesn't. A picture does, but videos do not.
JPG's have an exif "layer" where this type of information (including the settings used to take the picture) can be stored and embedded right into the image. However, I'm not even aware of this type of embedding available with MP4 video files. Maybe it exists, but, the N8 is not able to display the lat/lon after you exit the recording preview.
How is it possible that this feature is still there, not usable, and nobody says anything about it and Nokia leaves it as an available option...?
Or am I missing something?
No matter where I post it, no web site is able to retrieve the lat/lon from the MP4 (if it's in there) like they do with images. Picasa, flickr, etc are all able to pull this info from within the file and display a map. I'm not even aware of a viewer that could display this info for a video file in order to have an external verification. But, I don't think it's storing it anyway.

Any GPS/NAVI apps with video out feature??

Are there any GPS navigation apps out there for the iPhone that will work with the video out? My car stereo has an audio/video input, I have the a/v connector and I'd love to run a GPS app for navigation and display the NAVI video and audio on my head units audio input. I know that some dont support the video output feature, know of any that do?

Keynote slides with video - not linking in Ibooks Author

I have a problem with linking Keynote slides containing videos in Ibooks author. I am using the latest version of both programs on Yosemity (6.5.2 keynote, Ibooks Author 2.2 )
The keynotes is set up with ‘Links Only’ and it works perfectly in Keynote. In Ibooks author the ‘link only’ is not working and the slides just progresses to next one. Like the Presentation type was set to normal, whether or not I press the link or outside the link. The exact same keynote slides without the video doesn’t have this problem and links perfectly in Ibooks Author. The result is the same testing the Ibook directly on the Mac or on the Ipad Air (8.1.2)
To make sure about the video types I tried a number of different ones (different Mac/Ipad video conversion programs) all with the same result. The result is also the same whether it plays ‘on page’ or ‘full-screen’ in the Ibook. The videos all plays perfectly but the links are not working.
Saving the keynote to 09 seemed to solve the problem. I am new to Ibooks author …. And the whole Mac environment. But I am thinking it’s supposed to work without having to do this????
The same happened when I tested a linked keynote example from Lynda.com. ‘Ibooks essential training’. Only in the 09 version it was working with the links, when the slides had videos. This example was off course also created in an earlier Keynote version.

This is a problem that I've reported both here and via bugreport.apple.com. However, I don't think that it has to do with screen resolution (retina/non-retina). Rather, I think it has to do with setting the widget to "full screen" where transport controls cannot be used and selecting a "Links Only" presentation.
I used simple forward and back arrows set (Control-click on object) to go to next slide or previous slide. What I found was that while this works as designed when played back in Keynote (OS X or iOS) but not in the Keynote widget. The links only setting and these hyperlinks are totally ignored in the Keynote widget. Tapping anywhere went to the next slide. Tapping on the back arrow also went to the next slide,

Ipod classis with videos not showing on TV with connection - Help

Got a new Ipod classic as I got into an accident with my first ipod. Trying to play videos (movie) from ipod classic to tv. Bought Belkin video connector and use with my old ipod. With the ipod classic, when I plug in, i can only hear the sound of the movie but cannot see the picture. need assistance. thanks

I had to replace my old 80gig Ipod, so I bought the new 160 gig classic. When I pugged it into my Sonic Impact V55 audio-video player that the old one worked fine in it will not work. The sound works for the music files, but when I use the TV out to play videos it says to connect the Ipod even when it is already connected. The same thing happens with a Belkin audio-video cord. The Sonic people say that this is because Apple changed the software in the new classic Ipods. I have spent a lot of money on accessories and can't believe Apple would do this without a remedy. Help!!

Please help with videos not being displayed

I bought two videos at videohive. All i have to do is put my photos at the placeholders and render the videos.
I did with three other videos and all went fine.
but these two that i bought today are being displayed like this:

We can't know anything. You are not telling us what is involved in the projects or any other details like system informtaion. Perhaps you forgot to download some complimentary footage, perhaps you are missing a CoDec to use footage that comes with the project, perhaps there is some other technical issue like some CoDec or effect not being compatible with your render settings.... In any case, you will have to spill a lot more details and provide more screenshots.

Podcasts with video not working - suggestions?

Vids work in itunes but not on the iphone?
I watch woodworking pod casts from thewoodwhisperer.com (and several others in itunes. Some are tagged "apple TV HD" but when I sync them on my iphone all I get is sound no video. And an error "was not copied because the video format is not supported by the iPhone" but it plays fine in itunes. Help me understand this and is there anything I can do?

Does having WiFi on improve GPS location services even when not connected to it?

I know it'd use more battery juice but it'd be worth it to me if it helps. I've tried different setting combinations and can't tell for sure which ones were best. I use a walk/run app that gives you a "breadcrumb" trail overlay on a google map. It's fairly accurate but sometimes it has me walking through buildings and shows other inconstancies. So anyway, does anyone know if leaving WiFi on when only connected to 3G improve the GPS lock?

Thanks for the responses. Reading the article you linked, modular747, confirmed what I was thinking might be true. I often read how accurate the iPhones GPS is but I have no frame of reference, it's the only GPS device I've ever used. Does everyone have it wander around a bit or is it always "dead on"? I have a 4S and have read it uses the Russian GLOSNOSS satellite system as well as the USA's GPS. But still, it wanders. This is normal? I'd like to make sure I've not got a defect in it. I especially notice it when using the tracking apps (Walkmeter and Nike Plus) I described above.

Having trouble with videos (not audio) of you tube . . . we use them for training and don't want to use IE after all this time !? HELP . . .

HELP! CS3 blank green screen after render. with video not stills

hey. it seems that i have the same problem that other users have found when they have lots of still photos in a timeline and that is once you render they are just replaced with a blank green screen. however i dont have any stills in my timeline and it happens to every project that i open. once i alter a clip whether it be a transition, effect or change in speed and then render it all i get is a green screen. i am pretty sure i have some kind of spyware virus on my computer but would this be able to affect premiere pro cs3 like this? i have tried all the tips given to people that have the problem with stills such as changing the opacity and increasing my computers virtual memory but none of this seems to be helping me. i really hope someone has a solution as i have about a years worth of footage stockpiled that i was just about to start editing but cannot do so. thanks alot.

I can no longer recommend Firefox to viewers because of the severe problem I have been experiencing: No audio with video; navigation often does not work. Maybe this is purely a local problem. Please let me know if the site is fully functional or not when you go there. There is no problem with Chrome or Safari. My computer is a Macbook Pro 3,1 Intel Core 2 Duo. MacOs 10.6.8

Flash 9.0r48 no audio with video

I have just downloaded and installed the latest Flash player
on my system (Red Hat Fedora Core 3 Linux, AMD Athlon 64 (cpuid is
x86_64)).
This version has exactly the same problem that earlier
versions had, namely that there is no audio (sound) with the videos
on sites such as YouTube and CNN.com.
I have fixed the problem by reverting to Flash 7.0r25, which
works perfectly.
Does Adobe intend to fix this problem?

I recently upgraded to an iPhone 4, and I noticed that the pictures I've taken do not seem to contain GPS location information. I was hoping to use them to geotag my pictures and access them via iPhoto Places feature, but they do not have any location info. I have turned "On" location services for the camera.

Problem solved - the information was not transferred with the photos when I uploaded them to Dropbox via PhotoSync app and then downloaded them to my iMac. Not sure where the info got dropped, but it was in the original files so I was able to recover it.

GPS Location is not shown in Ovi Share

I upload photos with my Nokia N78 to share.ovi and for some I am sure, that they contain the GPS location. But share.ovi does not show it and I have to add it manually.
It hasn´t worked for any photos, that I have uploaded, yet, although I turned on the GPS Info in the N78 camera settings and if i go to image details, I see the GPS infos.

4.3.3 is the complete basic tool suite. What you downloaded was a .dmg file...double click on that to open and mount. If it's an installer, run it. If it's Xcode the application, drag it into your /Applications folder and run it from there. Unmount the .dmg when done.
You can then download components such as debugging support for another version iOS and documents.
I would suggest you start with the latest tools. You'll go blind trying to straddle fossilized tools and SDKs and anything you learn will be at high risk of being obsolete to get into the store and support things today. Don't put yourself behind the curve at the beginning. Don't be afraid to use Storyboards.
