N8 high capacity extended life battery

Hello
as all N8 users know, the standard 1200 mAh battery is not powerful enough. Two questions for you:
- where can I buy a higher-capacity, reliable battery?
- has anyone used the following 1500 mAh battery (no English brand name) which is currently on sale at ecrater.co.uk:
http://www.ecrater.co.uk/p/13538311/1500mahhigh-capacitybattery-for-nokia-bl4d-n97#
Thanks for your feedback.
(Btw, I know that replacing the N8's battery yourself voids the warranty)

Hi WhosThere,
Please keep in mind that replacing the battery yourself in Nokia N8 will void the warranty of the device. Also discussing the methods how to do that or otherwise modify the hardware or the software of device is not allowed on Nokia Discussions. Please refer to the forum Guidelines.
For the best performance on your Nokia phone, always make sure to purchase an original Nokia battery from a reliable, Nokia-authorized store. Please have a look at this link: Batteries.

  • Extended Life Battery for Palm Pre

I apologize if this has already been cussed and discussed. I searched for an answer but didn't find it.
If I were to buy and install an extended life battery for my Pre, will that void or otherwise affect my warranty. I've had my Pre about 2 months and like except for constantly recharging the battery. I found a battery that supposedly has 126% capacity of the standard phone.
I called customer service but I'm not convinced he understood my question.
    Thanks

yeah....i'm sure it would work, but 1750 won't get you that much more life. this is what i got:

15 bucks and you'll never have to plug in the phone again. you'll have 3 batteries to rotate. i jus chage the battery when i get up each morning.

  • How does the extended life battery (TV08) work? Does it kick in once the primary battery is dead?

I just received my extended life battery.  Following the "instructions", I was able to attach it to the bottom of my laptop.
    I left it charging overnight.
Today, I unplugged my AC adapter and ran on battery.  After a couple of hours, my primary battery completely discharged.  I was expecting the extended life battery to "kick-in".  It did not.  My computer completely shut-down.
My question is, am I missing something on how to use this extended life battery or do I have a defective battery.
My laptop is a Probook 6455b.
    Thank you.

I have an elitebook 6930p & am trying to use it with the TV08 battery as well.  The battery seems to work with the laptop, but makes a buzzing noise when in use (this does not happen with just the TD06 battery or when plugged into the docking station)
I called tech support & they told me the battery (being 14v) would overheat with the laptop.   Everything I can find on HP's site says the TV08 would be the correct extended battery for the laptiop.... does anyone know what the issue might be (with the buzzing, or which battery should be used)?
According to your service manual the tv08 (534063-291) is only for use on japan model 6930p elitebooks, chapter 3 page 28.

  • Free extended life battery? why not Verizon?Free extended life Battery? Why not Verizon?

Since Verizon was first out of the gate with the Nexus why is Sprint the first to "make things better" for their customers? Read this article and comment of you agree.

  • Extended life batteries for sale through various sites-- cover issues

    morning all.
Last month I purchased an extended life battery.
When the battery/cover arrived, I went to intall it, and noticed that one of the alignment pins was improperly aligned.
I contacted the retailer, and they were going to send me a new cover.
I made sure to make the issue that the alignment pin on the upper left corner of the cover (looking at the back of the phone) is aligned properly.
I'm posting this, so that for anyone who does decide to get an extended life battery--- look closely, and pay attention to your phone's back-- alignment pins, and the cover-- look at the photos, and ask for photos of the cover-- specifically the pins.
I wound up having to break an alignment pin off just to get the cover to work.
PAY ATTENTION to what you're buying.

I have the same issue.  Some app is downloading a large amount of data though the 'Dialer' app.
See: Menu / Settings / About Phone / Battery / Battery Use
Touch Dialer and for me, this morning only, it has sent 1/2 Mb and received 3 Mb of data.
Questions for Verizon:  What app(s) are using this approach?  Why, I am assuming because this method of data download is not interruptable by a user?  How do we turn this off to get our battery life back?
This needs to be looked into by Verizon!!

Can I use a higher capacity battery in Lumia 520 - Windows Phone ...

You can, if you can find one with the right size and voltage. There's always a risk with third-party accessories, you should judge that for yourself.

  • How can i extend the battery life of my iphone 4s? when i left it in standby mode when i saw in 5hours it drains to 5%, i thought when i leave the phone the percent is still the same. whant am i goin to do?

How can i extend the battery life of my iphone 4s? when i left 50% it in standby mode when i saw in 5hours it drains to 5% i saw 45%, i thought when i leave the phone the percent is still the same. whant am i goin to do?

I was not aware of the fact one could use ringtones as alarms, this will suffice! Although I foresee some very awkward times as the sound does not stop once I respond to the reminder (it keeps going for good five - ten seconds after I "stop" the reminder), but it's better than missing it altogether!
    Thank you very much!
Regarding the Alarmed app, doesn't it have to be running to actually remind you?
-Modular747: I don't know anyone who actually reads the terms of service agreement, those things are usually up to thirty, small print pages full of legal jargon. Rules, I do read - not the legal documents (also they often contradict the laws in my country, but that's a whole different story).
I agree with you - the average customer support consultant mostly cares about keeping his job and earning his salary (don't we all?) and thus racking up completted tasks (i.e. getting rid of customers as fast as possible - in a good mood). The "threat" none the less is real, if a cell phone causes me more trouble than it is worth, I will indeed throw it away (I have done so before) - and recommend a different brand to anyone willing to listen.
Don't get me wrong, I love Apple and I've been faithfully using and recommending their producs for twenty years now, not because of fanboyism, but because they earned it. This calendar issue, however, is like a toaster that doesn't automatically eject the toast at the set time. I see it as a major flaw and after googling around a bit I see that it's been around since at least 2007 (THAT'S SEVEN YEARS!!) so I strongly believe they are aware of this problem by now, but are choosing to ignore it for some mysterious reason and it really ****** me off.
I will send the feedback but based on my observations I suspect the Send button is merely a cleverly disguised Delete button.

  • Do I get better results/ keeping the battery's life longer by charging only when it comes to 5-10% or should I let it empty and then charge it? Someone told me also to turn it off while I charge it... So help what is the best way to keep long life battery

I got the new iPad on June 2012 and I wish to keep the long life of the battery as much as I can. I always and only use the cable that comes with the product and never charge it through computer.
    Should I:
    1) wait till baterry is completely empty, pratectly dead and then charge it?
    2) charge it when it reach 5%-10%.
    3) turn off the iPad when I charge the battery?
    Thank you apple support :)

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery
    http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. • Extending iPhone Battery: Auto Switch to Wifi when I hit the Browser Icon

I have read that using WIFI on the browser actually extends the battery life up to 400+ minutes vs using EDGE for the page loads.
Is it possible to have an APP do the switching from EDGE, to WIFI as soon as a user hits the browser button, (maybe if automatically connecting to the users main WIFI, or any other open WIFI without asking, if present, if not it stays on EDGE) then switch back to EDGE after the browser is closed? Kinda like when the APPS ask if they can use the location feature, but without the dialog box asking?

Also using the AIM I have found in the settings where it asks if you would like to leave it open or disconnect after the app is closed? I am assuming leaving it open would drain the battery quicker? Are there any other apps that get left open after they are closed that could cause battery drain?

  • Switching to FIOS, want the new high-capacity DVR. How can I guarantee getting one?

After 12 years I have to say goodbye to Dish because my old oaks are getting too tall and too wide and I don't have a clean line of sight...so I'm switching to FiOS.  I've gotten used to the best DVR in the industry, and I understand that there are new high capacity DVRs for FiOS that rival the Dish DVR's capacity.  How can I guarantee that when I order FiOS I'll get one?

You can't . Its whatever is put on the truck that morning. HOWEVER, you can do what I did and refuse the install. My installer was nice enough to go back to the office and get one for me. It is outgrageous to offer the older smaller equipment to new customers.

  • Can i exchange the HDD of macbook air with higher capacity?

hello all i would like to ask if i bought the macbook air 128GB, can iexchange the HDD to higher capacity 256 GB later or it can't be exchanged?
also is there is any one know the manufacturing country of the macbook airavailable on the apple.com site? is it made in US or made in China?
    thanks a lot in advance

Hi, it can't be upgraded (well not without some serious warranty voiding surgery to the internals). If you wanted to upgrade you would need to buy another one
Its designed in the US, built in China

There is no Apple in this user to user forum.
Take your phone to the Apple store and have the guys at the Genius bar take a look at it.
