N8 how do I connect to get a 3G connection?
Only got my Nokia N8 yesterday, so still learning and fiddling with it! how do I get it to connect to a 3G reception? any ideas?
If youre phone's internet settings are correct and you have a 3G signal, it should use a 3G connection automaticaly. I f it doesn't try going to settings, connectivity, network. There you will find a setting for network mode. Set this to dual mode. If youre phone's internet settings aren't correct or setup yet, the easiest is to phone your service provider (vodacom, mnt, etc..) and ask them to send you the internet settings for your N8. Use a mini-Displayport-to-HDMI adapter and a standard HDMI cable to connect the computer to the proper HDMI port on your computer — the one that is paired with the separate RCA audio inputs (see the TV's manual for this information). And connect the headphone port on your MBP to those inputs with a cable that has a 1/8' stereo headphone plug on one end and two RCA plugs on the other. You'll also need to select the proper HDMI input in the TV's menu system, and you may have to select the headphone port as the audio output in the Sound pane of System Prefs on the Mac (or it may be selected automatically).

I bought a Power Mac G4 (version=3.3) second hand from my company. It is running Mac OS 10.2.8 and Microsoft Office X. I wish to connect it to my BT broadband hub. However, it does not appear to have an AirPort card and even if it did I was told that the BT hub mainly works with microsoft rather than apple products. Can anyone advise me how I can connect and what products I need to buy?

Not true. Those adaptors were intended for the iMac G3 (long outdated) and only the iMac G3. All G4 machines just take AP Cards the way they are.

Actually I HIGHLY recommend upgrading to OS X Leopard. Tiger is no longer supported by hardly anybody (Apple, Adobe, etc) and Leopard is still the minimum for most things nowadays. If you want more life out of this Mac, then I would highly recommend installing Leopard. And as mentioned above you NEED a Retail DVD. (The Leopard DVD has a little Purple in the Center of the DVD and a BLACK X in the center. -

I am connected to wi-fi through TC connected to a specific router and is working perfectly and saving data through TM without any issues.
The TC version is 7.6.1 and am using OS 10.7.3
The router mode is on Bridge mode and router is connected to TC through USB cable, I suppose for internet access. My Mac is on wi-fi through TC
I have another location, much further, which recently have been installed with wi-fi through router that has WPA accessibiulity with password, 100% different than the current one.
Since, I will be most of my time in this new location, I wish to move my TC to this new location, and configure it in similar fashion like what I am having right now.
Naturally, I do not wish to lose any saved data on the TC.
Hope I managed to provide enought info.

Your new router may not correctly handle Bonjour data required by AirPrint. Contact Frontier to correct the router's setup. A firmware update may be required.

Additional things to try.
Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
On your iPad go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings and see if that enables you to connect.

If you mean using iCloud, you go to Settings>iCloud on your phone, sign in with your Apple ID to create your account, then turn Calendars (and anything else you want to sync with iCloud) on. Then on your Mac, go to System Preferences>iCloud sign in with your iCloud ID and check Calendars (and anything else you want to sync with iCloud).
This requires iOS 5 or higher on your phone and OS X 10.7.5 or higher on your Mac. -
In the office, All my colleges use Windows laptops. The Internet connection is out of LAN wire installed in one of the computers. Others use Internet by creating adhoc connection. However none of the apple products are being able to connect to this connection.How can i connect my MacBook Pro or iPhone 5 to this Internet network?
Just how is the one computer connecting to the internet? What type of connection does the office have, DSL, Cable or is it a Data connection through a Cell phone provider.
I doubt all other computer are doing Ad-Hoc but are probably Sharing the Internet connection with Internet Connection Sharing from that one Windows base PC.
All you khave to do is Connect to that same WiFi SSID name and have the correct password for it.
