N8 Nokia Panorama 2.05 with autofocus

hi,
ive seen loads of images for a new release of nokia panorama , with autofocus.
ive installed this from ovi ( sorry nokia) , cleared the previous version, but no autofocus version appears.

the middle screen shot clearly shows the autofocus option when you click settings.
my phone is recognised by ovi as an N8 but im wondering if this software version with autofocus is for the n900
any one managed to get nokia panorama 2.05 with autofocus working on an n8??

You are quite correct in your assumption that this Qt application is also available for N900 with autofocus as per screenshot, but can't include one from N8 (can't take screenshot from within camera application) which only has "Image resolution" in same screen to compare:

Wondering why I can't watch streaming video sites like Justin.tv on my new N8 but can view them just fine on my E71. When trying to watch a channel on Justin.tv, It states I must upgrade my flash player. How can my brand new phone's flash not be compatible yet my 2 year old E71's flash works just fine. By the way, I was using Skyfire on my E71 to view these sites and although you can download Skyfire for the N8, you can't access anything because it's not set up to work with a virtual keyboard... Hi, I've been testing couple of devices with the flash movie site Veoh. I've tested N95, N97, N900, Iphone 4, and 7230 and one more older model of Nokia. Only N900 and Iphone 4 worked well with flash videos on Veoh.com. No doubt, IPhone 4 gave the best experience with Veoh. It is the only recommend phone to use with that site.
All other Nokia phones expect N900 could not show the flash movies on Veoh.com. All Nokia phones were tested with original default web browser of Nokia in out of the box condition. Now I'm figuring out how C5-00 Symbian 60 third Generation phone works with veoh.com. More on that at C-series section here. So far I can only recommend Iphone 4 for fun with movies. No secret any more what is behind the Apple Inc.huge success.. Just like their computers their phone is excellent.
I will test C5-00 with the above mentioned skyfire web browser cause it has the same OS as E71:

Anyone got Nokia Music to work with (recognise) N9...

Several times over the last months I have tried to get Nokia Music to work with my N95 8GB.
Every time I have spent hours and hours installing, upgrading, uninstalling etc etc but never success.
The Nokia Music PC software will not recognize my phone.
No matter what kind of connection i choose when i connect the phone - PCSuite, Mediaplayer etc, none of them makes the Nokia Music recognise the phone.
I am currently running Windows XP SP3, PC-suite 7.1.30.9, Nokia Music 1.3.20716.09, phone firmware is 31.0.015, phone code is 0550372
I am (_again_) dead tired of this, and for the moment (again) I truely hate Nokia PC software.
Has anyone got Nokia Music to work with N95 8GB?

Yes - it is working fine for me on a n95-
You need to connect your n95 in Media player mode.
You have 1.3.20716.09 but the latest version is - 1.3.2072
1) You can get the latest version from here - http://musicstore.nokia.com/download.aspx
2) If you are having licencing issue it could be because of the drm folder . If step one does not work try to delete the drm folder - C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\DRM . You need to make sure that hidden files and folders are not hidden and also that protected operating system files are not hidden.
To see hidden files:
1.
On the Tools menu in Windows Explorer, click Folder Options.
2.
Click the View tab.
3.
Under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders.
Oh and just to be sure you are using nokia music

You can see in that picture on the left hand side is the phone you drag and drop your music into that phone picture to transfer your music.

This is because the software in the first link (nokia music) is designed to recognise "DRM" software. But nokia PC suite in the second link does not currently do that.

Not sure what you want - you shoot the photo by doing a sweep and the camera makes a static JPEG that is long (panaromic) and you import it - on the camera and in iPhoto is is a panaromic photo

Yes, there are some issues when using a Class 10 card on a Lumia. However, all of the entire 64gb cards are either rated Class 10 or even faster than that. So the safe option for now is to get a lower capacity card other than 64GB, the next one is a 32GB in which I believe has a Class 4 variant.

Nokia Panorama not working properly on non-changin...

I'm trying to use Nokia Panorama (fully updated) on my Nokia N8 (Belle) to take a panoramic shot of a lake I'm staying at for my vacation. As Nokia Panorama automatically detects where to move the camera to for each shot, it doesn't understand how to take the shots on this lake as it looks almost the same all around. I've tried it inside on changing landscapes and it still works correctly as it should, but it just doesn't know what to do when looking at the lake. I can get about 2 pictures, and then I go for the third and the box on the bottom of the screen doesn't move as I move the camera, then turns red thinking that I've made a mistake or gone too quickly even though I can see that the photos will match because of the previous photo being overlayed on the edge of the screen.
What I'm wanting to know is if there is any way to turn off this automatic detection and just let me do it manually using the previous photo that is overlayed on the screen.
Please help, I'm wanting to get this photo before I leave!

Stop using Nokia Panorama if it doesn't work properly. You had better take one or two 'normal' photos. Or try video recording instead.

How do I use Panorama / Tab Groups with the keyboard?

Yes I know that CTRL-SHIFT-E opens the panorama window, and then I can use the mouse to organize my tabs into groups.
But how do I do this with the keyboard?

In short: Pretend I don't have a mouse. How do I use Panorama / Tab Groups?

Nokia E5 bluetooth connection with car

When I connect my E5 with Toyota over bluetooth I can't prevent autoanswer - my phone automaticaly answers after 2 seconds. I tried other phones (Sony Ericsson and Nokia E52) and with them there were no problems.
I tried to disable autoanswer on my Nokia E5 but I couldn't.
Any ideas?

Just wondered whether under Menu > Ctrl. panel > Settings > General > Enhancement > Wireless car kit = Default and presumably it is here you have set Automatic answer = Off ?

Nokia E5 - Product released with bugs - Any Nokia ...

I bought Nokia E5 assuming it's a super Smartphone at affordable price but i was conned. It doesn’t even have features present in budget phone. You have released this product with lots of bugs. I want someone from the higher ups respond to my complaint.
1>    Even if you have 3G internet it is slow and takes a long time to display pages. Sometimes it is stuck at 0k and does not load the page. Bug: There is a BACK button at the bottom right of the screen to go back to previous page but doesn’t work. The page gets stuck at this point. If you’re lucky you should click on the back on the web page itself.
2>    Lack of feature: When you receive an SMS, classic Nokia phones display name of the person who has messaged. This phone only shows ‘1 message received’ no name display.
3>    Lack of feature: All Nokia phones have a feature where you can send text message to recently used recipients, numbers in called register, contacts etc. so that you don’t have to add recipients again and again. This feature does not exist in E5.
4>    Defect: ‘Options’ Key on the left side doesn’t work..need to press hard to get it working (it’s specific to my phone and was working earlier)
5>    Defect: Often looses connection while talking and gets ‘connection error’. Even if you dial back the same error shows up. If the caller is trying to call at this time, they get not reachable issue. You need to switch Off and On the phone, wait till it reboots and then it connects again. Looses signal many times. This is not SIM issue, one time I rebooted the phone and still had lost signal. I put the SIM in my old 2700 classic; I found there was full signal. I put the SIM back into E5 still had lost signal. I did not use the phone for ½ day and then tried putting Sim again, it worked. Pathetic phone!!!
6>    Feature made complex: All Nokia phones have an option to Mark/Unmark text messages or contacts to delete. For ex: if I choose to delete 10 messages from my inbox, I can go to options and select ‘Mark’. Later on Mark button is active and you can just highlight the message and keep pressing center key on keypad and it’ll automatically start marking the items. Once all 10 messages are marked, choose delete and they’re deleted. In E5, every time you have to navigate to options and select ‘Mark’. For ex: if you want to delete 10 messages from inbox, you need to navigate 10 times and select ‘Mark’. What a time waster!!!
7>    Do you call this a business phone? Lack of feature: You can snooze a reminder only up to 5 times. After 5 snoozes the option to snooze does not display. While I can snooze infinite times in my 2700 classic. Budget phone is better!!!
8>    Product limitation: It has a built in dictionary which doesn’t have many words. For ex: retrospective
9>    Bug: If you install any application dictionary, you cannot type lower case letters for certain words. In order get a meaning of a word say ‘ordinance’, you should type oRDinAncE. I’ve installed 4 dictionaries and had this issue with every one of them, so this is not app specific. The same app(English mini) in 2700 worked just fine.
10> Bug: Built in Map application doesn’t work most of the times. It gets stuck on Waiting for GPS while my friend’s Iphone gets full GPS signal.
11> Bug: Built in ‘Google’ app doesn’t work either. It only displays the result, when you try clicking on one of the results, you get ‘unable to open this browser…’ while you can open a new web page and type www.google.com, search for results, click on the link it works. Damn I can’t even uninstall built in google app.
12> Product limitation: You cannot organize your songs, the way you want. It displays everything including ring tones. I think Nokia wants their customers to listen to mp3 ring tones while travelling.
13> Lack of feature: How to turn off Camera sounds? You can’t, this is ridiculous and disturbing.
Trust me Nokia has lost its market to Samsung and Apple. Nokia phones are no longer reliable. What a waste of money for Rs 9500/- I don’t even get features available in a classic budget phone. If you have a convincing response let me know.

This is really pathetic and shame on Nokia that even knowing the problem they are not responding to their customers.
Seriously nokia is loosing his name by creating such useless products, and no quality thing is anymore associated with this brand.

Nokia c3 wifi problem with asda pay as you go sim

Any advice greatly appreciated.
Bought a brand new nokia c3 on vodafone pay as you go today because I knew that I would be able to use my Asda pay as you go sim with no problems.
Put my Asda sim straight in and everything seems to be in order except when I try to browse the internet through my home wifi it keeps saying I need to subscribe to packet data first. No browser opens up at all.
I use the same sim with my n95 and browse through wifi with no problems.
Am I missing something obvious?

Is your original contract SIM also an Orange SIM? If not, it could be that your premicell is SIM-locked to the original network. If this is the case you'll need to contact the operator with which you have the current contract and ask them for the network unlock code.
I'm not entirely convinced of the 3G vs. 2G argument because I have hade several really old phones (Philips fizz and Xenium 9@9, Alcatel BE4 to name but 3) that dodn't even do GPRS, only CSD, but which did accept my Orange USIM no problem.

Nokia 5230 - using it with the car speaker

i possible to use the nokia 5230 with my car speaker. I want to use my phone on the car speaker, while driving. I am able to use aux to connect the nokia to my mp3player in the car, but i cant seems to use it on the voice calls. (it works fine if i use it to play mp3 on the phone)
is there any instruction how to use Nokia5230 with car speaker system?

The phone would work connected by a 3.5 to 3.5 lead in as much as if you received a call whilst connected the music would stop and you would hear the caller through the car speakers, but you would still have to use the mike on the phone to speak to the caller . You need a bluetooth car kit to use it for calls properly. A work arround would be to use a splitter lead (one 3.5 extender with 2 inputs) then plug your phone into both a wired headset and the cars auxiliary input ! But doing this would mean a lot of wires !!!
