N8 + Ovi/Social + Facebook photo upload

Does the Social/Ovi app compress the picture before sending it to Facebook? The quality doesn't seem very good once the photo has been uploaded to FB.

Tested out by sending the same photo by e-mail. It seems like the Social/Ovi application compresses the hell out of the pictures before sending. That should be fixed as the photos look **bleep** when uploaded to Facebook via the app!

Heh, these are just the types of things that really irritate me. What is the point of sticking a great camera on the phone if the the software then ruins the photo when you want to share it? :-D

Safari crashes when trying to use facebook photo upload

I have been using facebook photo upload from Iphoto with out any problems. Tonight I tried it and it shuts down safari happened a couple of times but it corrupted my whole photo library and now Iphoto shows the measage that it is totally corupted and unusable. Any one got any ideas to get it working and to recover photos

Please post your iPhoto question in the iPhoto forum. There are ways to recover, I think, but I am not an iPhoto "expert." Photos are precious and I think you will get the best guidance for possible recovery in the iPhoto forum. There are some real experts there.

New to Mac-- Security Certificates and facebook photo uploader question

Hi all,
I'm new to Mac and really have to idea how to fix my problems, so please bear with me as I ask what may be a dumb question.
I was attempting to upload a photo into a pre-existing album on facebook. Because the album was created before I switched to Mac, I did not use iPhoto to publish it, and attempted to use the Facebook photo uploader. On my PC, it would ask to download the Facebook photo-installer add-on, which would then be deleted and need be be reinstalled if I cleared my internet explorer history fully (Maybe this is why PCs are far less stable...but I digress)
When I navigated to the photo uploader, I received a message from Java that something was wrong with the security certificate of the application. I clicked "don't trust" because the other options were "trust" and "show certificate"...it all happened so fast, I don't remember the exact language, and I wanted to keep my Mac as stable as possible. Now, the photo uploader is nothing but a red "X" in the upper left corner of where the application should be
I reset all of my Java defaults. I reset Safari (deleted history and all that, by doing Safari-->reset Safari) I don't know what else to do and I don't want to accept that I did something irreversible within a week of having my new computer...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!

Facebook photo upload album list not refreshing

I have a N8 with the latest firmware and software.
When using Nokia Social/Facebook app to upload images, the album list dropdown does not list all my facebook photo albums. I do not want to upload all my imgaes to the same/default "mobile uploads" folder. I have tried restarting, refreshing etc, but still only get one or two albums listed - and not the same two every time.
Anyone have/had the same issue?

I found a fix!!
Try deleting the app. Then on the iPhone go to Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website data > scroll to the bottom and tap 'Remove all website data'. Now re-download the Facebook app and see if it works.

Facebook Photo uploader not working

a few weeks ago (nov 2012) i upgraded to the latest vresion of facebook, but if i now go into the app and click to upload a photo, nothing happens, not even an error message appears. everythign else is working fine though. Photo uploading works if i go to the gallery and select send to facebook.
ive tried uninstalling, resetting my phone and upgrading my software but nothing has worked. any help would be good and i have a blackberry curve9300 3G

Facebook photo upload does not work anymore

Hi guys,
for whatever reason does my iphoto photo upload to facebook not work any more.
It always requests the sign-in-information (username, password), which I - by a 100% - enter correctly, but then nothing happens. I have no idea, what to do now. Has anybody experienced similar problems? Any ideas?

How do I use the Facebook photo uploader with the new version of Firefox? I need to upload lots of photos, it used to work fine.

I can now only upload 5 photos at a time, and when I tried downloading the photo download software it said it wasn't supported by Firefox 3.6.6. Any ideas?

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Accessibility settings.

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.
*Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
*Check that images are enabled: Tools > Options > Content: [X] Load images automatically
*Check the exceptions in "Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions"
*Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images with the cursor Down key).
If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.
Make sure that you do not block third-party images, the permissions.default.images pref should be 1.

There are also extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and security software (firewall, anti-virus) that can block images.

Mobile Facebook photo upload problem

Everytime I try to post a video or photo via mobile facebook a message pops up saying that the photo cannot be uploaded at this time. It asks if I want to save this photo and try to upload it again later. Help, thanks..

Facebook Photo Uploads

I've uploaded a picture to Facebook - it shows in it's entirety when the profile tab is clicked but is cut off on the home tab - has anyone experienced or heard of this ? using PSE5 - is there a way to edit the photo so that it appears complete in every section on Facebook ?

You're not alone, I've experienced the same.
Some have had better success in doing so by taking the pictures at a lower resolution or size. Open your camera > Options.
Another method to upload pictures is via email direct to Facebook. Check your Facebook account settings for details.

Facebook photo upload

I've just uploaded a photo to Facebook, and posted it, and now I can't get out of Facebook, I can't restart, in fact I can't do anything other than use Facebook.

Give the PlayBook the three button reset. Hold down the Power Button and both volume buttons at the same time for 15 seconds and then wait 1 minute then hold the power button only until the red light flashes then release it and wait for the PB to reboot. Hopefully this will clear up the glitch.

Facebook photo upload from Iphoto

Hi, am trying to upload some photos from iphoto onto fb, but for the 1st time it is telling me I need Iphoto 5. I am not computer savvy and don't know how to do this. Please help.

Sharing to Facebook directly from iPhoto does not work well right now.

[Facebook] Photos Upload impossible

My problem is easy to explain but harder to resolve...
I just can't upload photos on website (Facebook, imageshack, and a lot of others sites that I've tried), I've tried with Firefox and chromium.
I tried too an other script of upload. But unfortunately this other script use shockwave plugin.
I search a lot on google and forums. But I find nothing...

I find this thread whith a similar problem, but I don't understand how using intel video driver place to nvidia can resolve the problem. My graphic card is an Nvidia 9500GT.

Facebook photo upload error

I have the n97 and I have the latest software update. Ever since I updated facebook will not upload any photos. I have uninstalled and re-installed it. I have updated the new software 3 times. But still every time I try to upload a photo I get a script error. Before the software update it worked fine. Lots of other bugs but I could upload photos. Any idea how I can fix this? Thanks.

it does have udp. i dont think i have lost anything but it is possilbe you might lose spore and the guitar game. i have removed those as i dont play games on my phone. so yes back up would be wise to do. reformat is more like 'out of the box' condition. now that pertains to firmware and things embeded there. it does not pertain to apps that have been added on after the firmware install. so again you might lose game apps. accu stays as long as you have firmwrae v11....
so yes back up and go for it. and you are right for such an expensive piece of technology its a shame that we have to deal with not being able to download programs that came with the phone because they are nowhere to be found on the net and some other things.

Facebook Photo Upload Failing

I have an iPhone 5s. I have had it for about three or four months. Yesterday, my facebook app started acting up and will no longer upload any photos. I have tried deleting the app and reinstalling. I've rebooted the phone. I have signed out then signed back in. Nothing as worked. Now, my photos and albums aren't even showing up within the app anymore. They are still there on the site though when I log onto a desktop or laptop. I've looked through a lot of forums and done everything that people have suggested, but to no avail. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this and a fix? Thanks.

I found a fix!!

IPhoto v.8.1.2 can't use the Facebook photo upload button - get error

Everytime I hit the Facebook button down at the bottom of iPhoto and try to log in, I get an error that states, "An error occurred with iPhoto Uploader. Please try again later."
Have no clue what the problem might be. Did make sure iPhoto was set up to receive incoming connections in the Firewall. Any suggestions or know what's up here?
Using iPhoto v.8.1.2 ('09) and Leopard 10.5.8, PPC
