N8 picture date wrong

I've had my N8 for less than 2 weeks so still learning it.
When I take a picture a file name is generated based on teh date correctly e.g. 14062011005 was teh fith picture taken on teh 14th of june 2011. When I check the details of the picture this is correct 14/06/2011 17:28.
However, when I transfer the file to my PC the file modified date is 7/14/11 6:28 PM.
Is this an issue with the phone or my PC or both or something else.

Depending on how you transfer the picture to the PC, some software actually changes the datestamp info to be the time the picture was transferred. (Dukto despite being an excellent application, annoyingly does this)
Or, are you sure that the date is correct on the PC and in the format you want?
History: Always Nokia since 1994 including Nokia 2140, 7110e, 6150, 6210, 6310i, 6230i, N82
Current: Nokia N8 (Anna - I have no intention of going to Belle) - and delighted with it!

If I understand you correctly, when you enter a date in the Adjust Date and Time window, the picture does not update with the date you enter. If that is the case then something is wrong with iPhoto or your perhaps your library.
How large a date change are you putting in? iPhoto currently has an issue with date changes beyond about 60 years at a time. If the difference between the current date on the image and the date you are entering is beyond that range that may explain why this is not working.
If that is not the case:
Remove the following to the trash and restart the computer and try again:
Home > Library > Caches > com.apple.iphoto
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.iPhoto (There may be more than one. Remove them all.)
---NOTE: to get to the "home > library" hold down option on the keyboard and click on "Go" > "Library" while in the Finder.
Let me know the results.

Calendar date wrong with monthly appointments in O...

After 2 or 3 Nokia software upgrades, this problem STILL isn't fixed, even after multiple reports. Why?!?
Looking at the other related posts on this topic, it sure seems to be related to more than just my phone model (6085).
Using Vista (Enterprise), Outlook 2007, and the latest Nokia PC Suite (7.1.26.0), recurring monthly calendar appointments are wrong on the phone. I sync only PC --> phone, and the first occurance of a monthly meeting shows up properly, but for subsequent occurances, the phone gets the date wrong, usually a few days late. For instance, a "3rd Friday of every month" meeting in Outlook 2007 will cause this error. It is easy to reproduce.
I deleted one bad one, did a sync (and confirmed it was gone from the phone). I added the recurring meeting back (such as 3rd Monday of every month), and sure enough, the first calendar item was right, but the second one showed up 2 or 3 days late. It seems to make the 19th of every month (for example) instead of the 3rd Monday. ERROR!
They are 1 or 2 hour meetings -- not "all day events". I do not use any alternate calendars.
This is rather annoying, and based on the number of posts on this problem, it would seem to be pretty ubiquitous. It certainly deserves a fix!!! Please!!!

Hi I have same issue on Noia 2630 / XP / latest PC Suite version (NZ time UTC+12:00). Outlook and Phone appear to sync ok but when you check txts and calendar entries in Nokia Communication Centre the dates and times are wrong by 1 day (24hrs) if they were created at the PC end of things. TXT's created on the phone do appear with the correct date when viewed in the Communication Centre, however calendar entries created in the phone appear with the wrong date when viewed in the Communication centre. Go figure...
If you ignore Nokia Communication Centre it looks ok.
I think this is the reason I gave up on Nokia PC suite a few years back - it never works quite the way you think it should - it fools you in to thinking it is useful but there is always some basic issue that makes it so frustrating...

I'm afraid I can't advise on the specifics of either. Probably Blogger is the place do start; I can only suggest looking in their Help and/or looking at the settings for the episode - where you put the title and description - and see whether there is a place there for the date.

Organizing photo library by picture date (iPhone 3G)

When ever I sync a folder into my iPhones photo library it automatically organizes the pictures by name. Is there a way the change this so it is organized by picture date instead.

If they are folder titles then you can drag each folder into the open iPhoto application window to create a new roll with the same name as the folder.
You can also select specific photos in the main library window and use the File->Create Film Roll menu option to create a new roll containing just those photos. (You must be in the main library for that menu option to be active).
Terence's recommendation of Smart Albums is a good way of grouping photos with similar attributes, keywords, date or date range, file name or partial file name, title or partial title, etc.
You can use multiple keywords on one file like John, Joan, jane, etc. then you can find all photo associated with one or all of those keywords keywords by clicking or option-clicking on more than one of those keywords in the Keyword pane.
You can create a test library, import couple of folders into it and then test out the various ways to organize your photos before applying them to your primary library.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.

Getting image from Picture data of sepecific format

So suppose one picture is in the delphi form and i want to put that picture in my generated UI of java. how can i get the picture? is there any other way or i have to decode that picture.data and how? can any body help me?

file??Maybe. It's not in Sun's libraries, whether there are others, I wouldn't know. Maybe you can search the web?

Sales area data wrong mantained in Business Partner

We work with a CRM 7.0 EPH3 and we do integrate our CRM with a SAP ERP.
We are using common distribution channel and division for maintaining sales area data in Products and Business Partners.
We did mapped the common channel and division as well as we have done for non common in the organization model.

ERP refuse the combination cause is not a valid sales area data for master data maintenance, and I can´t delete this info from sales area in the account

I don´t need to map the org model cause it´s already fixed, I need to solve the problem for the account master data wrongly maintained. the accounts are maintained for
1006-00-40 and each time that get updated and try to sinc a red bdoc raise with the same error. This sales area is not valid in ERP.

Importing old pictures with wrong date stamp. After adjusting date they are landing in the correct folder of referenced masters.

I was thrilled to learn that with Aperture I could have one big library and using referenced masters, I can organize the pictures by date so I know where everything is and can backup to the cloud. I started importing really old photos that were taken with god knows what camera and the date is wrong. Since I had all these in date structured folders I could make a best guess on the date - not needing it to be exact, just so it shows up close enough in projects and the original lands in the right folder for future use & backup. I have come to learn that changing the metadata is only referring to how Aperture sees it. In other words, images that were taken on 10/31/04 are still landing in the referenced masters folder on the date the camera said. I now understand that the metadata date is not the date Aperture needs fixed. Is the best way to fix this to delete the images from Aperture, find some tool that will adjust to the approximate real date, then reimport. If so, can someone recommend a utility that does this? If I can fix this inside of Aperture, even better. I saw on one of the discussions: "it's all about the Exif and IPTC and not about the file metatata." Please feel free to learn me on that. Cheers.

That answers some of it - the relocate files. That will allow me to put the files in the right year/month folder. I imported full folders into Aperture so need to edit the metadata date for multiple pictures at the same time. I understand when you select multiple pictures and then ajust time, it adjusts in relation to the first picture. In my case these things were taken by all sorts of crappy cameras & re-edited years later (2003 data). So pictures taken on the same day have 2001, 2003 & 2007 dates. I really do just wnt to set all of them to the same (ballpark) date.
So my goals are:
1) have the pictures land in the right referenced folder - answered
2) do a mass adjust time to the same date for a folder of images
3) have the projects then land chronologically inside Aperture - not sure about this one yet

Changing date of pictures goes wrong in iPhoto

when changing the date of (multiple) photos the time continues to drop. So I type 2012 and the photo's are now backdated to 1435. When I try to change it again to 2012 it becomes 1350 or something of that order...

Thanks, your answer was helpful but not the full solution. Increments of 10 years work, however as I'm in 1435 that will take a long time. In addition, if I apply it to a group the photos with different dates (1435, 1450, 1443 etc) do not get the same date but they all ad those 10 years to it (so it becomes 1445, 1450 and 1453 etc). so for now I keep it in the dark ages so I can find all of them back until Apple finds a solution for this problem.

Dates wrong in RAW files imported from Canon Rebel

I recently imported a large number of pictures from my Canon Rebel via my iPod into iPhoto 6.02. There were a mix of JPEG and RAW files, the dates & times for the JPEGs were fine, the RAW files were wrong, some back at Dec 31 1970, others were 21 hours earlier than the JPEG files.
The date and time on the camera were correct and still are.
The same photos look OK in Adobe Elements 4.0, though I can see the same bad dates in part of the EXIF data reported by Adobe. Adobe shows me several versions of dates though and others are correct.
Anyone seen this, know what's wrong?

I'm afriad the fact that your Olympus dSLR is supported is no relevance.
The Raw from every model of camera is different. Note: that's every model not every brand. So, the NEF produced by a Nikon D40 is not the same as the NEF produced by a D60, the CR2 produced by a Canon 350 is not the same as the CR2 produced by a Canon 400.
Support for individual camera models has to be added one by one, and Apple will update the OS to work with the most recent version of the software. That's an incentive for you to keep up-to-date. So, for support for your 60D you'll need 10.6.5 plus Aperture 3 and/or iPhoto 11.

PSE 11 - Photo dates wrong

I still have my catalog sorted by Newest First, but half my pictures are scrambled! The date is now wrong on thousands of pictures, and they are (consequently) out of sequence. HELP!

Sounds like your database is damaged.
Try these in order - from best option on down...
1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
2. Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 6* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Rolls and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Roll Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

Dates wrong in List View of Calendar

Everything is entered correctly and shows up correctly in the Month and Day view of the calendar app on my iPhone. When I go to List view, however, events appear on the wrong dates! Very frustrating!! Anyone have a solution? Thanks.

Still no answer? For instance, on my calendar, the School Board Meeting is September 2nd, as entered. In List view on my iPhone, it says it's August 31. Ha??? Anyone else have this going on or an idea of how to solve it? I used to depend on my list view to see what was coming up, but can't any more.

I have no experience with mac and just bought an imac. How do I transfer all my pictures,data and itunes from my pc?
