N8 Social Application, does not stop traffic after...

Hi!
Why does the edge icon stays connected after exiting the social app?
When I go to connections I can see that the phone sends and receives traffic and I have to force it to disconnect two times before it stops!

E72 notifcation light does not stop blinking after...

After receiving an SMS my E72 sometimes keeps blinking the light even after reading it/deleting it. It's as if the notification gets "stuck". It also happens with calls but less often.
This only started happening with 052.005, with previous versions where were no problems.
Can anyone confirm this? Is it a problem in the current firmware or is just my unit needing a hard reset?

I suspect it is a but as this version had some changes to the breathing/notification light behaviour due to asian languages (even if mine is european PT)

Mail application does not respond even after forcing quit over and over

My mail application is not responding. I have forced quit at least 5 times and I still get the beach ball. This just started happening 2 days ago and now I can't access my mail at all.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.

Scheduled job does not stop even after the scheduling window closes

We have written custom stats gathering job whose duration has been set as 14 hours in the schedule. This job starts daily at 6:00 PM and expected to complete upto 8:00 AM next day. But the problem is that this job continues to execute even after 14 hours. If we look at the dba_scheduler_job_run_details table, then its execution duration is about 16 - 19 hours daily. We could not understand as why it is not closed when scheduling window closes? Is there any problem with the scheduler configuration?

Straight out of the docs 83 DBMS_SCHEDULER
stop_on_window_close
This attribute only applies if the schedule of a job is a window or a window group. Setting this attribute to TRUE implies that the job should be stopped once the associated window is closed. The job is stopped using the stop_job procedure with force set to FALSE.
Having said that, stop_job with force applies to whether information about the job is gathered - you would have to test, but I believe that the statistics gather will be terminated in the middle of whatever it's doing.
Update: force says:

If force is set to FALSE, the Scheduler tries to gracefully stop the job using an interrupt mechanism. This method gives control back to the slave process, which can update the status of the job in the job queue to stopped. If this fails, an error is returned.
If force is set to TRUE, the Scheduler will immediately terminate the job slave. Oracle recommends that STOP_JOB with force set to TRUE be used only after a STOP_JOBwith force set to FALSE has failed.

Application does not start automatically after J2EE restart

Is there a way to automatically start the deployed applications after a J2EE restart. We have a .ear file which we have to redeploy everytime we restart the J2EE engine. We are on 6.40 SP15.

Has any of you used the startup mode setting? I tried using it and set it to always but the application still won't start. Is there anything I'm missing?

After upgrading to iTunes 11 application does not launch and is disrupting other programs

I have trying to solve this problem all day:
After updating to iTunes 11 this morning, the application does not launch.
Furthermore, Windows Media Player, Win DVD8 and my Email Program fail to launch as well.
I have been through all support pages on iTunes, on support pages on the Windows 7 Forum, and I
read the answers given in the discussion.
I have tried and applied the solutions given, but none of them worked.
What happenes is iTunes tries to launch for a second, then stops, but the process keeps running
in the task manager.
All methods through MSCONFIG failed. Uninstalling and re-installing (in the correct order) iTunes, related
programs and QuickTime failed as well.
I am on a Windows 7 Home Premium 65 bit desktop computer.
Up until the update this morning everything was running fine.
Any suggestions are welcome.

Solved it.
I had a program running in the background, which did not get picked up by MSCONFIG.
I looked at the services on CCCleaner and there they were, many instances of this program, slowing the
computer down and preventing other programs (including iTunes) from functioning.
Turned them all off, and iTunes and all other pgms work again.

I have recently updated my iTunes to the latest version in order to sync music onto my new ipod shuffle. However after a successful installation the application does not launch or open? There are no error messages. The application is just unresponsive.
I have already checked the compatibility with Safari, my operating system and checked my firewall is not blocking it - all is fine.

What I am saying is ..........
The iPhone HAS to be active making calls on the UK carrier network for the carrier to identify as "theirs" and therefore eligible for the Carrier to unlock
The way to achieve this is to use a PAYG sim making and receiving calls to establish a customer relationship with the Carrier and then follow the Carrier's process to unlock
With a PAYG it usually means adding a specified (by the carrier ) amount usually £15 /£20 depending on the carrier
This is how O2 function and according to Gemma this is how Vodafone work

Sorry, I should distinguish between slow loading and manual reloading.
I understood your problem to be that Firefox never finished loading the page, i.e., some part of the page was loading too slowly.
By reloading, I meant Ctrl+r (or the reload button), to manually reload the page. You can disregard any cached files and reload all content fresh from the server by adding the Shift key, i.e., Ctrl+Shift+r (helpful when specific sites do not load correctly).
If the page is automatically reloading itself over and over, that sounds like a completely different problem.

Render engine does not stop after reaching 100%

It looks like to me that the render engine does not stop after reaching 100%. It does not affect the rendered file which is fine and complete
-the Pause and Stop buttons are displayed but have no effect on pausing or stoping the render
-when I want to quit SG, it locks up and have to Force Quit to get out of it.
I really like the program though and hope you are going to fine tune the UI and make it look like After Effect and Premiere.
I would encourage you to instaure round tripping between these two apps and SG.
It would be nice to have curves as well.

Good from my point of view is to make a search if those files for some stack traces with the string ".dsr."

Your fan(s) will run at high speed (i.e., loudly) while video is playing, and you can't get around that.
If your fans are not slowing down within 2-4 minutes after CPU- and/or GPU-intensive usage ends, and the application that was showing the video is still running, Quit that application. (In fact, if you're accustomed to Windows, you may not realize that simply closing a Mac application's window does not quit the application. You still need to use the Quit command in the application-name menu. There will always be a bright dot beside or below the application icon in your Dock for each application that is open.) Quit the ones you aren't using, and see whether that allows the fans to slow down without restarting the machine. If that doesn't do the trick, reset the SMC:

Restart your Mac.
That's why you see this:
When I try to do the updates my computer says it has ready it goes through like it is downloading them then at the end it says some of the files could not be saved to "/" files.
After your restart your Mac, click the Apple  menu (top left in your screen) then click: Software Update ...
