N8 social network widget not working

Hi all.
I think I did an update for the N8 not too long ago. And my social facebook widget stopped working. I still have the widget on one of my homescreens, but can't start it. I've looked at my app settings to see if it was still there and i don't think it is... I've looked at nokia.com to try to redownload it, but since it's a pre installed app, it won't let me download it. So I'm stuck now...
Can anyone help me? Thanks a bunch.

Is the application not working or only the widget? Anyway you can download Nokia social v1.3 from Nokia beta labs, you need to login using your Ovi account to download.

Social Networking Widget not working

Howdy folks,
I just got the new Razr, and for the most part I love it. I upgraded from the Droid 2 and the Razr is a lot faster. I do have a problem that stumped the in store rep I talked to last night. The Social Networking Widget will not allow me to add any of my accounts to it.
I have tried everything I could think of (short of a hard reset) to get my various accounts working in the widget, but no luck.
Has anyone else had this issue, seen this issue, or know of a fix for this issue?
When I do a Google search for it, all I find is people who hate it, or want to get it working after "rooting" their phone.

The Motorola Droid RAZR is currently my favorite smartphone! It's super fast processor with the razor thin design and 4G LTE connectivity is a match made in heaven! May I ask are you able to log into your social media account using the web browser? If so then that confirms that the issue is with the widget. Some social media accounts allow you to login from the Settings menu, like Facebook and Twitter. If you are still unable to login and use the social media widget then the next step would be a factory reset. Prior to completing this step, encourage to archive your personal info, like contacts and calendar entries, to your Gmail account and/or backup assistant. Media such as music, videos, and pictures can be backed up on the memory card for preservation. Below is a link on how to perform a factory data reset on the Droid RAZR.

Once a factory reset has been completed, the device would need to be re-setup for use. There is a brief tutorial that will walk through this process. In this tutorial the option to setup social media account is also available. I recommend that we set this up during the tutorial for testing purposes. After the tutorial is completed then we want to test the voice and data services for functionality. Afterwards, please test the social media widget and post your findings. Social Networks Widget Not working

I'm facing a problem with my nokia E7, installed the new software Symbian Anna, when i try to sign into facebook through Social widget, a msg shows that Invalid User Id or password, Tip: password is case sensitive..although am using my correct email and password to connect to facebook..thank u i need you support ASAP..

After Hard Reset My Social Network is not working....

Due to Some problem I did Hard Reset to my C7 but now My Social network is not working.
I had reinstall the nokia software but still its not working properly.
In the Social network all the graphics are coming like picture with a cross.

Something is wrong because a hard reset will never leave the TC with green LED.
What version TC.. what firmware??
What OS on the computer?

Social Network Widget not showing Facebook Status Updates

Hello. I have a Droid Bionic and am having issues with my Social Networking widgets. I have two on my main screen. One for twitter, and one for facebook. The one with Twitter works fine, the other one with Facebook does not. It does not show me uploaded pictures, and updated statuses like it used too. Now it only shows stupid Farmville updates along with links that my friends post. Any ideas as to why this is? I think I have tried everything possible now.

Push notifications for the social networking are not working. How to fix it?

Try to solve the problem of push notifications of social networking apps which are not working on my iphone 4. Fix it please..!

If you go to settings-->general-->accessibility then scroll down you'll see "increase contrast." Turn that off and your control center and notification center should become more transparent. I had the same problem and that's how I fixed it! Hope it works :)

Social networking app not working

So I'm trying to use the Social Networking app to login into facebook. Every time I try to use it I get an invalid credentials error.
Clearly the user name and password aren't wrong because I login into Facebook using other methods.
I should also mention I get the same problem with my N8

Ever since I have updated my phone's software, The Social Networks app is not at all working...
It just keeps on loading and loading and loading...

Facebook Social network app not working properly

i just recently bought a new n8 and when i got it all set up i went on social network app and the images didnt load up properly. i called up nokia but no help there so i sent them emails and also no help there to.

i did a reset, updated and format. i doubt its internet connection because i tired it on wifi and used optus 3g connection and it was still the same.

Glad it's all sorted but probably would have achieved same result if used OVI Suite > Tools > Software updates on your PC.

recently go a new phone from Nokia Head office cause of some strange probs with my old N8
got it yesterday , it was restarting on its own ,
asked care line , they asked me to format my phone , so i did,
after words the Social Network widget tab can Nowhere be seen on the homescree, i cannot locate it in the Edit Home Screen, option.
i can use it from the applications tab, but not from the homescreen.
i am confused.

You've to download it separately from Tools> Software Updates. Then it will download this 3731KB application, install the same and only then it will appear there.
Wish#1: MP3 Tag Editor capable of editing ratings.

Hi,
I hard reset the N8 with the code *#7370# but after that the Social network apps stopped working. Facebook could not be connected even when I'm entering the correct user id and password.
Please help.

i use the same account for ovi store And as well as for ovi music . . And they are working . . I understand about the the alternative no offences but is the default application gonna be dead from now on for me ? Nokia should test something before they put it for people to use . . Dont know till when i have to wait for it to get sorted out . . is there anyone from Nokia team Who can tell me what is to be done with this problem . .

Google Voice Widget Not Working in Safari 5.1 which is Adobe flash with wmode transparent set. For that matter all flash text fields in Safari 5.1 are not working accross the web when wmode is set to transparent. This is a Safari bug! Other browsers work fine.
Well after much research Adobe flash text field with wmode transparent set is not working in Safari 5.1 when any flash object has the wmode set to "transparent", or "opaque". The problem is many site must layer flash objects with html so the wmode transparent must be used.
Affecting sites like BEST BUY, WALMART, CVS, STAPLES, Chechout their flash based weekly ads and find one that you need to update the quantity in the flash pop-up and the text field with keyboard strokes will not work. Flash text fields were all working fine until several month ago when Safari rolled out 5.1 working for Google Voice Flash based widget which uses the wmode transparent. HELP!

If not working for you, try clearing your cache to remove any old, non working versions.
Test on some other machine besides yours.

Did you do the Reset Network Settings as I described above?
There is no way to go back. You can try reseating your nanoSIM or replacing it. Or call your cell provider and have them check the provisioning on your phone.
Or Restore your iPhone from your backup in iTunes.

I have this problem too - and it is on a BRAND new iPhone 6 - I have definitively tracked the issue to the moment I upgraded to iOS 8.1.2 - and am beyond frustrated. iphone 4 and 4S have two microphones...bottom n top...sometimes top microphone is covered by the case or sheet as in my case..and when i just put off the case it was working fine.....i just got problem today and today it is solved again.....may be its ur case or may be ur case is a genuine hardware software problem...just for info
